If you dont mind me asking Kaz...how old are you? When I was pg with Liv my DS risk was 1 in 19 and t18 was 1 in 30. I consider that high! Her NT fold was 6.6mm though and my bloods combined gave us that risk factor. I will be doing the NT scan with bloods due to my past history and also my age....soon to be 35. I had the cvs done at 13 weeks. I had a huge needle inserted into my tummy and they took a sample of the placenta...unlike the amnio which is a sample of the fluid. The proceedure didnt hurt, but after it hurt, like I had done 1000 situps without having done sit ups before. Only took 3 days though to feel better. Anyway I am rambling! Did you try and sway for a girl? We tried swaying for a boy (only dtd on the day of o), however that ended in the m/c. I have no idea when this one snuck in. Absolutely no idea!
-
I'm 38 ... Trev's 47 ... they gave me a huge brochure. The CVS bloke I'd be sent to is at Monash and he apparently does it through the cervix, not the abdominal wall. Wow, how'd you get 1 in 19? When The risk on age alone for 37 is 1 in 220 .. once you get up to 40 it's 1 in 60 ...
Yes, for a girl!!! Poor DH! Hopefully .. not sure whether to find out before or not there.
-
I went to Monash too for my cvs although I had a female doing it and she did it through the abdo. I got the high risk when I was 30...so i was supposed to be 1 in 5oo and something! It was so high because of her neck thickness. Apparently its supposed to be less than 3 mm, hers was 6.6mm! That in itself made me higher risk, then combine with the bloods it came up with that. So youre only 3 years older than me. I wonder what my risk would be now?
-
well that's my baseline risk, before the u/s neck measurement ... i'll check up your baseline measurement tonight when I get home?
-
OK. Here's the brochure : http://www.vcgspathology.com.au/down...al_Testing.pdf
Age 30: 1 in 890
Age 35 : 1 in 355

Hi!
Mel - How gorgeous becca fell asleep with you! Wishing you super good luck for your scan on Monday - I'm sure everything will be fine! Oooh maybe all the m/s means it will be a boy??? You just never know...
Kaz - Geez...I can't believe they are talking about all those tests already just based on age - hopefully everything will be fine!! Yeah at being booked in to the birth centre - I was in the bath for about 3 hours with my labour and thought I was going to have a water birth but unfortunately I just didn't progress to that stage in there...needed something different after awhile - and my fingers had all shrivelled up - LOL!!
All good here for us, had a big day out at Fountain gate doing some shopping...don't think I'll be heading out on my own for a while - LOL! Jayden slept well in the baby sling though and the boys really behaved well considering how long we were out for. I'm wrecked now though and waiting for Jayden to wake up so I can feed him and then go to bed...
Chat later!
-
thanks Kaz- well heres hoping my scan is good on Monday. I can feel it move already, like rolling! Its exciting!
Kris- wow youre brave. Sounds like a busy day. Hope you get some sleep.
-
Hello ladies!!
Wow, everyone has been so chatty!
Mel, yep, we're waking earlier. The last few days Liam has been waking at 4/4.30 but having his booby and going back to sleep and sleeping til at least 6am which is a sleep in in our house! Lily is sporadic with her waking, she woke this morning at 4.50 and wanted to get up. I told her to go back to bed it was still night time! She did and tossed adn turned for a while but eventually went back to sleep. There have been a few days where we've been up before 5am tho. Not happy Jan!
LOL @ Olivia helping herself to the fod while you slept. That's so something Lily would do when left to her own devices! But we have child locks on the fridge and cupboards. For exactly that reason!!! And Lil's a ham-a-holic too, whe loooves the stuff!
Good luck with your test and everything. I'm sure it will be fine. But I know how nerve wracking it can be
Kris, you truly are super woman!! I don't know how you're functioning at all let alone posting here and being legible! You're doing so well with 4 bubs! Hope you're feeling better with your infection.
Kaz, yay on getting where you want to birth!! That's excellent. And good luck to you too with your testing, again I'm sure things will be a-ok.
Look at you all here pg or new bubbas, 'cept me!! I feel like the odd one out! LOL, DH and I will have to get the ball rolling!!!
We're mostly good here, my back is stuffed again tho. Not happy. I have no sick leave left at work and I'm also working extra hour cause we need the extra $$$. I only have 2 wks to go tho, so I'm really trying to stick it out. I will only take time off if the kids are sick or if I just can't function. At the moment a ****tail of heat packs, nurofen, tiger balm and panadol is making it bearable. DH has 7 days off work, somehow his roster just turned out that way! Yayyy for me means I get more sleep when he's home! And even some sleep ins!
Ok, gotta go have a shower and go to bed early, it's a full days work again tomorrow for me!
-
Kel its a bugger about your back. I hope it mends quickly and you get some relief. Will you be looking for a job when you move? Touch wood the girls are sleeping a bit longer in the mornings:) I feel better when they do. This little bubba is sucking up a load of energy from me and I am exhausted most days. I hope it settles soon.
I have my scan in 2 sleeps...can you tell I am excited! I have to put my normal jeans away now because my belly is so big. Well its not huge but uncomfy in my jeans.
Dhs great grandma...and the girls great great grandma passed away on Thursday night. We have her funeral on Wednesday. I have to go get some clothes because nothing in my wardrobe will fit. The other thing I want to know is what shall I dress the girls in? Do you think they should wear black or a nice pretty floral dress? I have loads of dresses for them...none of which are black, or blue! I dont even know what to wear myself. I havent been to a funeral for years. Tis easy for guys, they just pop on a suit.
And my brother had his operation to remove his testical on Thursday. He has a few more blood tests to do and they should work out if he needs further treatment. Fingers and toes crossed he doesnt. Isnt it funny...I was talking to him about the importance of checking yourself and he said he never did it. I mean, as girls, we are taught to do breast checks regularly....but he never thought to. It worries me because I have 6 brothers and I know for sure that my mum or dad wouldnt have taught them to do checks. Mum didnt teach me breast checks...I learnt for myself! I suppose thats because my mum and dad werent open about bodily issues. I am very open with my girls, Olivia knows what body parts are...I dont remeber really being told about them until going to high school...other than seeing my brothers! Sign of the times? Or just parenting? Oh I am yabbering!
Have a good weekend
-
Lil - yay on getting them back to sleep, we don't have a chance of that here. Back luck on the back though :(
Anyhows, I'm only making up for lost time with my new pregnancy!!
Kris- you are an amazing woman. How's the headache?
Mel - good luck for your brother, hope it all works out for him. Do they do implants / reconstructions like with mastectomies? Purple is another mourning colour as well. I reckon that pretty dresses to celebrate life will be just fine, it's wonderul they got to meet their great-great-grandma. Hope your DH is OK too *hug* Yay on feeling the bub move!!!! I have to confess, I did another test last night, just to make sure everything is OK!
Us - we're off to buy Pip new shoes - Betts Kids has a program where if you buy 6 pairs of shoes in 2 years you get a pair worth the average free. So doing that today and to also get him an "I'm the big brother" shirt :) for when we tell family.
Have a good weekend all!
-
Hi!
Kel - Sorry to hear about your back...hope it's better soon..
Mel - Hope your getting some rest!!! You should start getting some energy back soon hopefully!! Well, until 3rd trimester anyway - LOL!
sorry to hear about your dh's great grandma...Gosh - I'd have no idea what to wear - I wouldn't say it would matter too much what the kids wear...
I hope your brother gets good results back as well - what a scare! It is funny how times have changed with health etc...I think we're all probably educated a lot better now...or can be if we choose too!!
Kaz - Ooh the t-shirt sounds so cute for Pip!! Wow - the shoe program sounds greats well!
Headache is still here...so annoying - am about to go and have some panadeine...I've had so many headaches lately, it's so frustrating. I hate taking medication as well...grrr...
I'm going to the chiro on Monday though and we have a guy coming out next Fri to our house and we're both getting hour long massages!! I'm sooo excited! My shoulders and neck are so tight from feeding/holding bubs...should be fantasic - especially to have it at home!!!
My friend also came and cleaned the house this morning so it's all nice and sparkly...lol...sounds like I'm super spoilt hey?? LOL!!
Ok, going to chill out for a bit - Louis is watching tv and Dylan, Ethan and Jayden are having a nap - for how long no-one knows!! LOL!
Chat later!
-
Thanks for the info on the clothes...we have loads of purple! The girls were certainly lucky to have met her, and I am too.
Kaz- my brother was given the option of a prosthetic when he saw the urologist. So as a blokey bloke he is...he has one! I spoke to him the night after his surgery and he has had a feel of it!! He said its soft and squishy!!! He said they do key hole surgery in from his navel.... interesting insersion points for your groin! I hope he doesnt have to do any further treatment. hes about to get married and wants to start a family....its all a bit scary.
Kris- hope you gt some rest.
Kaz- lol on doing another test! Dont worry hun, I was exactly the same.... i hate those weeks of wondering! I did the tshirt idea with the girls. Olivia had im the big sister and bec had im gunna be a big sister....pity some people at the gathering were less observant and didnt notice it and it caused all sorts of problems!!!
Ok better run
-
HI all, well I have an hour or so to myself while Liam is sleeping. Dh has take Lil out to watch his friends play soccer. So yay!! I considered cleaning, but eh, it's not going anywhere!! I can do that later! Decided to veg on FB and BB and catch up with some emails... Liam and I shared a box of chicken shapes and some cordial before while we sat and watched some ABC2! It is so lovely to spend time with them individually. You really get to know a different side of them. I am going to try to spend more time alone with the kids individually now that they are getting bigger. Adn I will have the time!
I soooo can't wait til I finish work....8 working days and counting! Then maybe a month until we leave sydney. We finally got an address that we aer moving to! I think it's a 4br house! My goodness what will I do with all that SPACE!!! I will need to be a SAHM just to clean it all!! I'm used to my dingy little 2br unit....it will be pretty bare too since we don't have alot of furniture. Poor Liam isn't going to have any bedroom furniture for a while. He has a bed for now (but only the trundle from Lily's bed set!) but that will be it. I'm hoping there are built in wardrobes because we don't have cupboards! If there aren't any I have no idea what we will do with our clothes! We'll be living from boxes for a while...??? Oh well, I guess we'll accumulate 'stuff'. At least we will have space for a toy room! If you can't tell, I'm EXCITED, lol!
Mel, I have my fingers and toes crossed for your bro that it is nothing serious! LOL, at the prosthetic testical. My middle bro would do that....so funny! But I guess it's a bit like have a prosthetic boob if we had a mastectomy. Tho it's not noticable to people for a guy! Only if you ere to see him nuddy! Hehehe, not an imagige you want in your head I'm sure....
So sorry to hear about the deaths in your family. I hope the funerals go ok. As ok as one can go...
Kris, I hope your head is better. Nothing worse than having to deal with noisy kids and feeling headachey. I hope your taking care of yourself tho. If your getting headaches frequently, maybe you need to have a full health checkup. Are you eating and drinking properly? I won't even go there asking about sleep....I imagine you're not getting much at the mo! Take care of yourself babe
Kaz, yeah, some days we get more sleep some days not. But seriously I refuse to get out of bed before 5am. I can JUST do 5am....4.30-NO WAY!!! Lily seems to be back into her normal routine, waking between 5.30-6.30, no more early early waking, Liam is still waking at 4-4.30 some days I can get the booby in before he really wakes and he goes back to sleep, some days he wants up, but not before 5am!!!!! If he goes back to sleep he will sleep til 6-6.30, yay!! Bit sad when that's a sleep in!
Ok gotta go the boy is up!
-
Hi!
Kel - All your plans sound very exciting!! Yeah at finishing work soon! As for looking after myself...probably not doing as much as I should but am feeling ok...Hoping the chiro will help tomorrow! Also, probably not drinking as much water but trying too!
Dh is going back to work tomorrow so I'm a bit anxious. I'm sure it will all be fine but just need to keep my sanity when they're all after me for attention!! Will need to have an early night tonight that's for sure! Think I'm in the overtired stage though where sometimes it's hard to fall asleep...so crazy!!
Ok...going to get in my pj's so after bubs is fed I can crawl into bed - hope you're all well! Chat later!
-
ahhh good luck tomorrow Kris - you really are a super mum and chick!
-
Thanks Kaz...means a lot to me...xoxo
-
Hey we had our scan today so no personals...I just want to talk about me me me!!!
It all went great. HB was 150bpm, measuring a bit ahead of time but only a few days. Neck hinkeness looked ok so hoping the results from the bloods give a low risk. It has a nasal bone...which is a good indicator (absence of nasal bone indecated DS), 10 fingers and 10 toes...didnt stop moving. I talked to her about the nub theory for gender and she had a look and although she said it wasnt 100% she said it look a little like a boy down there...but could just be swollen vagina. Anyway it excites me that the baby is there and looks good. I still dont think we will find out. Will see on the day of the next u/s...May31st!!! Oh and I have a posteria placenta. I had anterior with both the girls so should fell some more defined movement . Morning sickness is still going, although its really nothing to do with food smells...its poo! Something that I usually dont really care to much about. The smell, the thought..makes me dry wretch! Doing dog poo runs horrify me and the walk to the bucket every day has me bent over near the plum tree trying not to up chuck!! Oh the joys. And whats with my super sore nipples? I would have to say that this m/s is so much more intense and longer than the girls.
Well hope you have a great day...you too kris, youre first alone with all your boys. You are a super strong women.
-
Woohoo!!! Yeah on a great scan!! I'm so happy for you!! Ooh I hope it was a little doody that you saw!! LOL! Yucko - hope the morning sickness goes for you soon as well!
Yep - first day on my own - it went well - was super busy though! Managed to get the kids dressed and fed, nappies changed, house tidy, washing done! LOL! Oh and I had a shower - the sign of a successful day! It was just the noise factor at times and having all 4 boys crying at me for something at one stage that nearly did my head in! hehe.
Went to the chiro this afternoon which was great...just for the peace and quiet even! hehe.
Chat later!

Hello lovely ladies!!
Well, it's been a while! I have 3 working days of work left, I'm sooo excited. I won't have to think about work for 4yrs! OMG!!!!! For the first time since I was 16, I won't be working or studying!!! I will be mummy and wife! Although I am thinking of studying, lol! I'm not even going back off maternity leave or anything! SSSOOOOOOOO EXCITED!!! We have the removalists organised and we have a house to go into, 4bdrms!! We won't have enough furniture, lol!
I am a bit disappointed I;m not pg this month! AF turned up last night :(. I hate this TTC rollercoaster. I'm so impatient. With Liam it was so good because we were'nt ttc and I found out at about 9ish weeks. It took so much pressure off! Adn the disappointment that I'm not pg each month too. It sucks!
We have a half busy weekend! Lily's birthday today. I can't believe she's 3!! Damien has to work tonight though so we are having her party tomorrow. Just a small family dinner, nothing too spesh this yr! Today I have to make her a Rosie cake. I'm just going to try to draw it onto a plain cake. I was going to try to make it like the Thomas cakes but I looked up how to do it and it's really in depth. I don't have the time with Damien working, so I will go with the short cut. I might make Thomas for Liam's bday! I have to make a lasagne for dinner tomorrow too, might make the sauce tonight! And I have to buy a few little party treats- lollies, chips....stuff like that for the kids. We gave her her big girl bike this morning, she was absolutely delighted to see it! We also got her a helmet, and Dora umbrella, raincoat and gum boots. She was sssooo excited! I also made some cupcakes for her to take to childcare on thursday, and she was so excited that they sang her happy birthday. She was really into her bday this year! I love it!!
Mel, I am so happy that your u/s went so well! I have my fingers crossed that bub is a boy for you! But as long as it is born normal healthy, it doesn't matter. I can't believe you're 13wks already! Time is so flying for me at the moment! I hope the M/S is lessening. I must admit, I don't really get it (and hopefully won't) not to the point of vomiting anyway.
Kris, I hope you're doing ok, I can't imagine how busy you must be! And happy bday (well, party day anyway, lol!) to Dylan!! Hope you all have a great party!
Ok, I should get things started, I have had a lazy morning, DH brought home some pancakes from maccas for breaky and a yummy strong coffee for me! It was so nice! Bday pancakes for Lil!
-
Happy Birthday to Lil and to Dylan tomorrow....
Kel- wow 3 working days, you must be so pumped. Good luck with it all. Sorry af turned up. Most likely you will fall afyter moving and you will be less under pressure. I hate the waiting too. Messes with your head. Hope the move goes well.
Kris- hope youre traveling well. I'm sure you are! Still looking forward to cuddles:)
Kaz- hows you pg going?
Jen, Mel...hope youre well.
Me- still queezy. I dont see the point of vomiting either. I havent yet, but I just gag, its terrible. This is the longest I have felt yuck. I hope it goes away soon. I am hoping its a boy too. Getting excited but I have to get to the 20 week scan and resist temptation! I really do want a suprise. Last night I had a dream we did the scan and didnt find out, but came home to view the u/s and there was a clear shot of his balls and a little willy!!! I hope I am not working myself up! I posted a pic up on the gender section of another forum and they all said boy! On here too, some have said boy. I am working myself up...arent i? Well I have no idea what to do today. My house is clean, beds are all changed, dh is at a training course and the kids are already asking to go in the car! Might take them for a nice long walk!
Have a good sunday
-
Hi!
Dylans party was great today! Was such beautiful weather as well! He had such a great time - got all shy when everyone sang happy birthday...was very cute!!
Mel - Sorry to hear your still feeling so sick you poor thing! Yeah at thinking it may be a boy - I know you'd be soo excited!! My SIL, best friend and you are all p/g and not finding out and I've already started packing baby clothes away...bugger all you people having surprises - I want to start offloading stuff!! LOL!!
Kel - Happy Birthday to Lily!! Hope she had a great party!! Yeah on not long to move either!! Good luck TTC!!!
Hope you all had a great weekend!! Chat later!
-
Hey all... hope everyone is well.
Am doing ok. My boobies hurt, I was thinking of making up an ode to them. The used to be fantastic! Now they are huge and hot and sore and saggy! The m/s seesms to have settled a little, but I am so tired, doesnt help when I am up several times a night. I got my NT scan/bloods back today and the results are within normal range, so all good. I have booked in my next scan for 6 weeks time. So excited.
Olivia is doing well. I started her on the reading eggs and its amazing! Shes picked it up so quickly. Must be the repition. We will be down the shops and she will say...mummy...theres the letter m! I love it. Shes growing so fast. I am still going to keep her home for an extra year though. So instead of being the youngest she will be the oldest. Just means I will have to entertain her for longer. Anyone else keeping theres home for the extra year...or who is going to 4 year old kinder next year?
Hope all is good...just relaxing tonight infront of the box!
-
Hi!
Mel - LOL at your boobs...I'm a bit worried about what mine will look like when I'm finished bf Jayden...will need to invest in some great bras I believe! LOL!
How fantastic that your results all came back normal! Woohoo!
Yep, Dylan is only doing 3yo kinder next year...I'm keeping him back - I'd rather him cope with everything really well than struggle going early...I"m just looking at putting him into a pre-kinder class though at narre - it's one afternoon for 2 1/2 hours...think it will be great for him to go and make his own friends and do his own stuff without Louis...
Off to bed...am sooo tired - everythings blurry...lol...hi to everyone else!! Chat later!
-
Oh man....jsut wrote a huge post and it's disappeared.....I might have forgotten to press post...
Oh well.
Mel, I will be keeping Lily back too. Many reasons why! Mostly so she's ahead academically and socially, not behind.
Kris, hugs hun. I hope you got an ok night sleep! You need a break!!
Ok gotta go. Hope all is well.
-
Hello ladies!
Been such a long time since I've been in here, but I popped in to post something else and thought I'd drop in on you all.
Kel, I didn't know you were TTC! Good luck!
Kris, supermum, don't know how you find a spare five minutes to even turn the computer on!!!
Mel, Glad to hear all went well with the NT scan! It's hard not to work yourself up about something like that though... do you think you will hold out or find out?
The reason I popped in to BB.... Well, DH and I did it again! First month and I got a faint BFP yesterday. I'll be doing another one tomorrow because I'm only about 10DPO today (kinda guessing that though!_. It was four weeks on Friday since Jr gave up the boob - I'm sensing a trend! I told DH that after this bub we won't be able to even hang our undies on the line next to each other because that seems to be all it takes! LOL I barely need him in the room  So, since I've only had one period in two years, I can't really tell when I'm due, but I'm thinking sometime between January 3rd and 6th. Could be a little New Year baby :)
By the way SHHHHHHH. Only my bestest friend knows at this stage. We're going to write a card to our mum's from "Ben, Jared and Spongey" on Mother's Day and that's when we'll let everybody know. Right now I don't even think I'm four weeks' along!!!!!
Take care, I'll probably be around a bit more now :)
-
OMG,congrats Mel!!!!!!!!!! LOL, I didn't know you ere ttc either!!You would be due around New Yrs then wouldn't you? If I had have fallen pg this month I would have been due chrissy day!
We are onto our 3rd month now....feels like forever when I've wanted to be pg since Liam was about 9mths old! Now I really am the odd one out!! :( Maybe Liam needs to give up his boo....but he only has it twice a day...I fell pg with Liam when bfing Lil 3 times a day.
-
Wow Mel...fantastic news! Hope you have a fantastic pregnancy.
Kel- I still think that as soon as you move, you will fall pg. Not long now:)
All good here. Boobs have settled down a tad, had a squeeze of them and got some liquid gold!!! All in time for my sex drive to start reappearing. YAY! Am feeling pretty good, nausea settled down, although still have moments of queezy gags! Girls are going well. House plans are.....dunno! Long story but DH being self employed is making things very difficult to get $$. So its either build until we can afford it or hold off for a few years, or....buy an investment property instead ( because the bank will lend us loads more for that!) I am happy for the kids to share for a bit longer, although it will be a squeeze. Nothing a good clean out wont fix and some rearranging of furniture. It would mean bunks and a cot and new draws in the inbuilt cupboard. We are still waiting on final costs, then will make a firm decision.
Hope youre all well. Must go help dh finish the bath!
-
Hi!
Congrats Mel!! How exciting!!
Hi to everyone else!
Just taking it day by day here - boys are well - Jaydens going well! I'm getting sick though which I'm so not happy about...I hate having a cold at the best of times but while I have to deal with all these boys is not so great! LOL! Dh has Mon & Tue off though so that's good! I'm just crossing fingers no-one else gets it but with the weather being as it is and all of us stuck inside chances are...
Ok..chat later!
-
Congrats Mel!!!! Woohoo!!! Hey have a look at the new PPL scheme, it kicks in on Jan 1...
Mini-Mel - yay on the liquid gold ... hopefully I'll have a bit of that this time :)
Kris - yuck on the cold, loving seeing your photos come up on facebook!
Lil - well a Xmas Day bub would suck with birthdays, they'd all roll into one! It'll happen when it happens!
Us - well tomorrow is Pip's b/day and we had the childcare kids' party today at the miniature railway - it was fun, we even got my mum on a train :) Right now I'm cooking the cake for tomorrow's family "do" at the Zoo. Finding I'm so exhausted, I have no idea how you cope Kris with 3 and preggers!!! You truely are a superwoman!
Anyhows, have a lovely night all, good to see you again DG. Dream pretty.
-
Thanks girls! I'm feeling sick already, but so far it's just an annoyance. Hopefully it won't be too bad when we're in Japan. I will be seven weeks' then... I was eight weeks pg with Ben when we went to Japan last time
Kaz, CONGRATS!!!! I didn't know you were pg (well obviously, since I haven't been here for so long!!) Congratulations!!!!!
Kel, I can't get pg while I'm bfing, even a little. I know a lot of people can, I'm not one of them. Jr gave up the boobs four weeks and two days ago. Ben gave up the boob and a month later I was pg...I can tell you we won't be relying on it after this bub though.... Obviously, you can get pg while feeding though so just see how you go with the move :)
Mel, we're staying put even though we only have a three bedder. We want to pay off our mortgage completely before we move or knock down and rebuild. I figure I shared with my sis forever so the boys can share for a few years. We broached the idea with Ben yesterday though and he wasn't keen. He suggested the new baby share Jared's room  (hypothetically, he doesn't really know we're having a bub yet).
Kris, get better! I just got over a horrible cold. I found Betadine throat gargle AMAZING, but I know you're not supposed to take it while pg, so I don't know if you can take it while bfing.
Okay, gotta go eat. I'm SO hungry, something I didn't have while pg with the boys.
-
Hey Mel.... we have a 3 bedder but in reality its only a 2 bedder with an office. DH is self employed and we use the small room for his office. The girls already share, but its a fair size room. I was just in there before with dh and it will be fine with bunks and a cot for a few years until we have put a heap more on the mortgage... or decide what we are going to do! Was looking forward to more room (its only 9 squares..so quite small), especially for storage. Just means I am going to have to do a serious cull. As soon as I know what flavour this bub is...still not sure if I will find out... then we can get rid of clothes if its a boy. I have so many containers full of clothes.
Kaz- glad you had a great day yesterday. I know what you mean about being tired...I have no idea how Kris does it all. I suppose its all out of necessity! Looking forward to catching up with you and Kris soon. Happy Bday today to Pip.... did I tell you that Patrick is #1 name on our list...followed by Nathan. I have no idea for a girl though!
Ok getting bugged by liv!
-
Hi!
Kaz - Omg...I'm so sorry...I totally forgot about Pips b'day party yesterday...what an awful friend I am!! I hope the little man had a great day and super special birthday today as well!! Probably just as well we didn't go with all these colds though...
Disgirl - Yeah on going to Japan soon - how fun!! I'm sure the boys will be happy to share - we've got Louis and Dylan in one room, Ethan in the other, but bubs will eventually share with Ethan - so 2 in each room...
Mel - You'll be right in your house - there's always a way!! I can understand wanting more space though...
Well, I'm sick with this cold, Dylans got it, Ethan and baby Jayden have been sneezing heaps today and Louis seems ok so far...omg...it's going to be a full on week if everyone gets sick! It's just a cold so hopefully won't be too stressful!
I'm feeling quite good after having Michael home for a few days and getting a 2 hour sleep in this morning - still means I just got 8 hours but it's amazing how much better we cope with enough sleep!! Jayden is sleeping quite well overnight the last couple of nights as well so hopefully he keeps it up!
ok..will be heading off to bed shortly...chat later!

Hello ladies,
Well, this is my first week as a SAHM again, and it feels kinda strange knowing that this will be my life for a few years, lol! When I was at home before on mat leave I knew the time would be short and limited. With Lil I had 8mths off and with Liam only 5mths before going back to work. So this time knowing that although the time is limited, it will be a long time before I have to go back to work. I'm going to go down to the library to find out when the kids reading session is on so we have at least one thing to do for the next few weeks, lol! DH is off work for the next few weeks until we move too because they didn't want to roster him on for half a roster and then we move. So he's here to keep us occupied a bit too (and to drive me batty!).
Lily is sick at the mo. Just a cold, but she's a bit miserable, very snotty, watery eyes and croaky voiced. She might have a sore throat too cause she told me she had a sore voice this morning, lol. So I gave her some panadol and she's been ok. I think I might be getting it too, my throat is a bit scratchy. I'm debating if I should take her to the doc. She's had the snotty nose since Saturday. And her voice is getting croakier every day. But no fever or anything, and she seems relatively happy to play. A little sooky and sleeping really well in the day time, but still eating ok and drinking heaps....think I just convinced myself she's ok for a few more days, lol! If it doesn't clear up by Friday I'll take her to the doc.
Mini Mel, yay that you're feeling a bit better and the m/s is easing.
Kris, you're doing so well with all your boys! You seem to handle adversity with such a great attitude. I think I'd be a blubbering mess if I were you, lol! Especially feeling under the weather and having so much to do! I hope you're feeling better today and that the boys are all still well.
Kaz, :happybirthday: to Pip!! I can't believe our bubs are 3!! They're setting so big! I hope you all had a great time at his party!
LOL, with the bdays. We do have a few around then! Plus my brother was born on chrissy day and he says that it sucks! I am kinda glad we're not having a chrissy bub. But I have a kind of urgensy to be pg cause DH has put a time limit on when we have another baby. He wants to stop ttc by August when Liam turns 2. He doesn't want too much of a gap between our bubs. I don't either but I'm not going to stop wanting another baby, just because Liam is two. I will most likely want it more because he's growing up! Oh well, what will be will be.
Ok gotta go the kids are getting rough!!

Morning...we are sick too! Must be this crap weather. I have a head cold, bec is on abs for her cold/chest... and Liv was in with us this morning all snotty and congested. Dh is yet to get it but he usually does so its only a matter of time! I have been up since 5am because Liv was in bed with us and she was sleeping across the bed with her legs pushing dh out so he cracked it, then she started to cry because she wanted to sleep sideways, then dh decided it would be a great idea for me to get her some sniffy to unblock her nose... we dont have any after me searching the cupboards...so she ended up with dimeptapp. The Becca woke up for the day and thats the start of my day!. men and their ideas. He got to go back to sleep til 630ish! Luckily Liv is still sleeping, I couldnt deal with her being cranky. I am cranky coz I am jealous of them getting more sleep! And I feel like poo! Oh well I will live!
Kel- congrats on the staying at home journey. I hope you enjoy it. Its great being at home with the kids and watching them...although some times!!!
better eat, am dizzy

Hello lovelies!!!
How are you all today? I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!!
Well, we had a great weekend. Yesterday we went to Gosford (1 1/2hrs drive away), where they had a show/fair thingy on. It was really good. The kids went on some little rides and ate junk and just had a ball! We then went to see my dad who lives up there too. He adores my kids and had them in hysterics chasing them around and tickling them. I love to watch him with them! THEN we went to sizzlers for dinner on the way home. I ate waaayyyy too much junk and food in general, especially considering I am trying to lose weight (yes again...or still??!!!).
Today I am trying to clean in preparation for moving, doing the bigger stuff like pulling the light fittings down and washing vertical blinds! Such a drag but it has to be done. None of it has been done for at least 3yrs! I used to do it regularly, but since the kids were born, I do the minimum for the place to be clean and clutter free and that's it!!
Mel, yep, I'm looking forward to having time to be with the kids now, rather than rushing from here to there. I haven't got a routine down yet, but I'm betting we'll just get one sorted and then have to move. I'm a bit reluctant to try to get into stuff at the moment because of that. I was going to take them down to the library for the book reading time last week, but it was raining and not worth the effort since we're moving soon, kwim? But they are both soooo bored! And Liam is sooo norty! Into EVERYTHING! And just a cheeky little ****! Lily is pretty good, but she nags and whinges, she doesn't get into mischeif so much tho....I don't know which is better! LOL!
How is everyone going with your bubs (in belly, and out!!) I hope you're all well and not too sick with m/s, or tired with newborns!
Has anyone heard from Jen at all? Just wondering how everything is going? If you're out there Jen, I hope all is well!
Ok that's it from me, going to do something practical while the kids sleep.....

Ahh we are still around. The girls and I are just getting over a week of colds. Bec has finally cut 3 eye teeth so only has the back molars to go!!! YIPPEE! Kel, I need some motivation to do a big clean...not just a quick tidy, I need to wash walls, cupbords, throw stuff out, dust, wash curtains, windows...you get the picture. mmmm I dont know if i could be bothered! I should though.
Pregnancy is going well. Not a great deal of movement, although I expect it to pick up in the next few weeks. I had an anterior placenter with both the girls, this one is posterior, so expecting to feel a load more, well hoping. We went to the hospital for a tour....its disgusting. I hate it and i really dont want to go there. Am not sure what to do and am thinking if we definately dont go ahead with these renos, I am hitting Adam up for a home birth. the birthing rooms are old, dark, dingey. There is next to no parking at the hospital so its either park a mile away and walk or get dh to drop you off and hope he doesnt miss the birth or get fined! Olivias labour was 15 hours...in hospital for about 5 before I had her. Rebeccas labour was 6 hours and was there for 2 hours before I had her. I have a feeling that I am not going to have a great deal of time with this one. I just dont have a positive feeling about this hospital. Ahhh what to do!
Well I hope you are all well.

Mel, I think if you're not comfortable there, go somewhere else, or try to get your HB. If you don't like it just walking through, it will be even worse when you're in labor and having bub.
-
I know Kel... it makes me squirm walking through there...Adam on the other hand cant see the difference! Men! I am just researching home births and I might have a look at some other public hospitals. I feel like I have to hurry and make a decision though! Am seeing my gp tomorrow and get along with him fine, so might have a chat with him.
-
Aahhh bugger! No one is here to chat! Hope all is well. Am a little peeved off...I was talking to dh about homebirth last night and hes not too keen, but says if I want it hes happy to pay $3500 for it. Its all antenatal, labour, birth and 6 weeks post natal follow up. Then we were at our neices birthday dinner last night and I talked about it an my MIL turned her nose up it and strongly disagreed with it. There was a huge debate and most women...and men in that room are against it...all because of the what happens if and emergency arises>? However much I tried to let them know the exprerience of a midwife they just argued back. Gggrr. Its funny because my mum is all for it! So i suggested to dh last night that I may try and rebook into my preferred hospital by telling a bit of a porkey and giving a family friends address who lives close by the hospital! Is that bad? Am just not happy to go to the other one!
Anyway, am feeling better after 2 days of antibiotics. Olivia..well shes somewhat better although during the night she was pretty congestd, so we will see when she wakes up.
Take care....

I don't see anything wrong with fibbing about your address. Seriously, if you're not happy with the hossy, you have to do something. You can't give birth there if you aren't happy with it. Tell them your friends' address - we won't tell :)
Hi girls, I keep meaning to pop in here, but always seem to get interrupted by one child or another! Besides, I'm not feeling too great right now. MS is well and truly on it's way - bleh! I was hoping this one would be different! I don't want to be sick on Japan again - I was 8wks pg with Ben when I was last there and was SO sick, I can barely remember most of the trip! Jr's dirty nappies are making me dry retch - and the kid is a pooper!
Kel, when do you move? I saw you got the kids to bed at a ridiculously early time last night - well done! Mine were asleep by 9:00 which is a small miracle in this house!
