HELLLOOOOO, where is everyone???
Well, I am feeling very not like being a mummy today. Really feel the need to get away and I would love to spend time with DH, away from home, just us. But aside from the fact we just can't afford to really do anything like dinner and a movie, we have no babysitters to look after the monsters. DH has told me to get out and have some lunch alone. Which is great, but it will be just that, alone. How boring. As much as I like my own company, I would really love to be with him today for some reason. We just snuggled together on the lounge this morning watching the kids play, which is nice, but Liam gets really jealous of dh being so close and buts in all the itme, lol! Then Lily gets jealous of Liam being near me and comes and sits on me too, so it ended up being a big rumble together, hahaha!
My mum called me yesterday and I ended up a huge sobbing mess from what she was saying to me. She can be so nasty at times. She doesn't think about how she affects other people and is so 'woe is me'. She's yet to say one thing positive about us moving. She's making herself sooo sick too with anxiety, not eating, vomiting, headaches. I am trying my best not to feel guilty, but it is hard when she keeps on reiterating how she was doing 'so well' before I told her we were moving (although she still wasn't able to go out to the shops alone without freaking out!). Then yesterday she tells me that I should not be surprised if I get a phone call to say she's had a nervous breakdown and she's in a nut house somewhere and that she's been tempted to take an OD of the valium she has to help her sleep. I ended up hanging up on her for the ifrst time in my life. But I was crying so much I literally couln't talk to her. Poor Damien and the kids! Liam was sooo worried and started to cry himself. Ugh, I hate what she's doing to herself and how she makes me feel. I just pray that I will never make my children feel like that ever in my life.
Anyway, Liams going to bed, which is my cue for some time out of the house. Going to get a coffee and a scrumptious nutty yogurt that a shop makes down the road. Might squeeze in some caramel cheese cake before I come home too. So not in a healthy mood!!

Oh big hugs Kel!!!! You poor bugger having to deal with all of that...how unfair!! No wonder you're feeling the way you do today - what an emotional drain. I know it's soo so so hard but try to remember that this is her problem and you are no way responsible...I so hope you enjoy your time out today! You deserve a break!
Kaz - So glad to hear things are going well with Pip! Wishing you all the very best with TTC this month!!!!
Mel - How are you going???
Dis - where are you??
As for me, going pretty well other than feeling like a zombie most of the time! Had my hosp appt yesterday and another blood test so will be interesting to see what my iron and vit d levels are like...
Organised a cleaner finally which I'm excited about!! So can't be bothered cleaning. Have a whole lot of new stretch marks which is nice - LOL - who would have thought 4th time around I'd get more??? Crazy!
Still waiting on our new car...so frustrated - it's looking like Tue/Wed next week now...So after we get it bubs can make his appearance any time! LOL!
Boys are well - doing very well at occupying themselves most of the time. We've all had colds this week - Ethan was the most affected - little snot machine but he's such a trooper and still slept through every night!!! We're all on the mend now though...
Umm..that's about it from me! Hope you're all well and enjoying your weekend! Chat later!
-
Hello all...just a quick one from me. I have had super slow internet for the past....I dont know how long, but feels like forever. So couldnt load up bb pages:( All good here. Am 9 weeks now, my belly is huge. Girls are good, liv is a bit sick with a cold atm.
Ok better run, bbl for personals
-
Hi!
Mel - wow 9 weeks!! Can't wait to catch up with you soon and see your tummy!!! Hope Olivia's better soon!
Hi to everyone else!!
I'm going well - we finally get our new car tomorrow - wooohoo!! I'm so excited. I probably won't be able to drive it until Sat/sun though as we're getting it detailed and then have to get the car seats all put in!!
Feeling ok...a few niggles here and there but nothing major yet!! He can come anytime next week! LOL!! I'm getting excited though (and nervous of course!)
Boys are well!
Haven't heard from my mum in nearly a week now and after calling my sister last Tue and having her say she wouldn't have time to call me until Fri (and she still hasn't called) I'm a bit over my family...they couldn't give a s*** how I'm going and I just don't even feel like telling them when the baby arrives (except that mums meant to be watching the boys while I'm in hosp)
I'm so over them...I'm obviously a bit over emotional at the moment as well with it all as normally I don't let it bother me so much but, as you would relate to Kel, it would be nice to feel "mothered" sometimes iykwim??? Someone to care about how I'm going rather than just be focused on themselves all the time..
Anyway...I've had so much venting lately it just isn't funny...I'm just feeling tired and drained...typical for this stage of p/g...but I just get my back up and feel like saying don't bother coming over when the baby arrives if you can't be bothered before hand iykwim???
Hope your all going well!! Chat later! xo

Hey Kris...cant wait to catch up. I was hoping to see you before your little man comes but its highly unlikely. Wow you and Kel have it tough with your family...especially your mothers. I havent really got much to complain about. My relationship with my mum was non existant since she left my dad when I was 19 until I had Olivia. Since then she has stepped up to the plate and we are rebuilding our relationship. It has its moments, but she tries to be here for me every week, she will come at the drop of a hat to look after the girls if she can, she always comes with something in hand...like nappies, wipes...a loaf of bread....lunch! I cant believe that we have come from barely talking to this. Yes she drives me batty but I can count on her now. I am not rubbing it in, but I feel for you not having that support....especially from your own mothers. I wouldnt rely on my mil but I suppose thats because I have my mother to help out. Anyway big hugs to you both. Oh and Kristie...if you dont want your mum to look after the boys while your in hospital, I can always come and look after them. If I remember rightly you only stay for a little while and you come home!
Just on the topic of birth...I was looking into the homebirth pilot project at casey...however I am too far away to participate, so that is that! Adam said if I really wanted I could have a home birth but then we talked about the cost and because we will be in the middle of our renos its probably not going to be possible... also i think we might be stretching our budget if we pay for a home birth along with a $150K reno and possibly a new car... we seriously wont be fitting 3 car seats in the honda, its too narrow! As it is the 2 car seats only leave room for half a seat. We have been looking at cars and thought about the Tarago...it looks huge, but it will be ood because we go away a fair bit and also my dad and brother are moving down the road so we could take them with us to places. Anyway, back to the point....I will be going to Dandenong to have the baby.
Take care
-
Hi!
Mel - Thank you so much for your offer!! I will definitely keep it in mind if that's ok! I also have my cousin who lives in Cranbourne on back up as well...
That's so great that you have such a good relationship with your mum now!!! That's the way it should be!! My mum went loopy after her and dad divorced as well and has just never really recovered..lol. I heard stories from my cousin the other week that she was loopy even before I was born...it's just her...she fits every narcissitic (sp?) personality trait there is...
Bugger that you're too far away for the homebirth...Cindy had her 2nd at Dandenong and said it was all good...not sure how far away Angliss is from where you are but they have a great family birth centre program...
Yeah on the new car - I'd definitely look into Chryslers and Kia's as well...Taragos can be quite expensive - but they are toyotas so a good car!
So not organised this morning - am meant to be leaving the house in 15min and kids and I aren't even dressed yet...got the can't be bothereds! LOL!

Hi all,
How is everyone? Well, I hope!
We're ok, but Lil has some sort of tummy bug. My poor little bear has been puking since yesterday. Though (knock on wood) hasn't vomitted for a while and just ate some dry crackers and diluted juice.
Hopefully it doesn't go through everyone else though. Having another day off work. 3rd day this week, 10days off in 3 weeks! But I honestly can't say that I'm terribly worried about it. Only 5 working weeks to go til I finish! I can't wait. I have had such a lovely morning with the kids even though I'm surviving on 3hrs sleep and Lil is still grumpy and not well, Liam is tired too, being woken by Lil a few times last night and up at 5am (yawn!). Damien on a night shift last night, of course always the way when one of the kids or me is sick!! (Not his fault but it seems to be the way it goes, lol!) But despite all of that I have the patience and energy to put into my kids which I would usually put into others kids at work and come home and yell and rant at my kids because I'm too tired and over it all by then to bother. We have played some nice quiet games- building a train track with all of the tracks and accessories, playing playdough, washing up (with my little helpers!), reading, watching playschool and postman pat together.....I usually give the kids all this stuff to do in the day but don't sit and play with them much, I'm usually too busy cleaning, cooking or running around trying to get everything ready for work/preschool. It's just making me want to stop working all the more! My kids deserve all of the energy, teaching and patience I use at work. I don't want to give it all to other people's kids anymore and make my kids lose out! Ok enough with my raving on!!
Mel, wow, you're 9/10weeks???? Where did that time go already! Before I know it, you're going to be ready to pop like Kris is!! I hope Olivia is feeling better now.
I forgot you were renovating, has it all started yet? Will it be over when bubby makes their arrival? Oh, talking about bubby, will you be finding out the sex, and more importantly, will you be telling??! :)
Kris, hugs hun. I know the feeling of being over your family. Just because they're your family doesn't mean they get to walk over you or take advantage. I have done alot of thinking about this!! Of all people who should want the best for you and respect you and to give you all they can, it should be your family. Take care of you first. Your hubby and the boys next. After that worry about the others. While your extended family is important, there is only so much you can give to them now. You have your own family to worry about, iykwim. I am over worrying about it all too, and have learnt that I need to take a step back or it consumes me :(. For my mum, it seems to be similar to yours in that she went a bit strange after divorcing my dad. Dad has gone on living his life and has just retired this year and went on a cruise this week actually, as a gift for himslef and took his 'girlfriend' (npt exactly sure of their relationship, but they have been friends for a long time, maybe just friends with benefits?? But lets not think about that!!). Mum got really down/jealous about it all. Dad did ask her to come with him a while ago, but she refused so he took his girlfriend. Mum needs to realise that noone will live her life for her and she needs to do things for herslef.
Ok, gotta go the kids are going nutso!
-
Hey all hows it going? Yep...well now I am nearly 10 weeks:) Time has flown by, nausea has kicked up a notch so all things going good! As for finding out the flavour of this baby... well dh is keen and I figure its another girl, so why not wait and have a suprise seeing its our last! LOL!! If we do end up finding out I will let you know.
Kel- hope lil is better, nothing worse than vomit I say! Not long left til your big move...how exciting.
Kris- all these pre labour pains, am awaiting your BA. All the best, you can do it (I'm your cheer squad!)
What else... Olivia still has a cold, rebecca is getting one, so is Adam and actually I think I will end up with it! Am a tad congested today...
Better move!
-
Hi!
Just a quick one from me...feeling tired and a bit bleurgh today...car was meant to be detailed this morning and no-one turned up so it's getting done tomorow morning...was going to have some time out this arvo but my SIL is coming around now...which is ok but was kind of looking forward to some time on my own iykwim?? That probably sounds horrible - LOL!
Having quite a bit of pre-labour on and off now...feel like my body's gearing up for labour but still think it's probably a few days off at least - it's always so unpredictable of course!!! We're having indian takeaway tonight and poor Dh is desperate to dtd so who knows if it will set things off! LOL!
Kel - I hope poor Lily is feeling better and no-one else has caught it! Poor little thing - and poor you of course as well! Not long to go now until you finish up work - how exciting!!!
Mel - Wow on maybe having a surprise!! I'm so weak I could never do it - hehe! Thanks for being my cheer squad - I need it at the moment - every now and then I get a bit anxious over the labour thing but mostly I try not to think about it - I'm kind of thinking I know I can do it - I've done it before and luckily I don't ever have to do it again - hehe. Although of course I'm very excited for that awesome feeling of having put on my chest and it being all over...makes me feel quite emotional actually!! I think especially knowing it's the last time!!!
What a bugger you've all been/are getting sick!! Hope it's over with quickly!! xo
We've run out of bread so it's choccy milks, vegemite saladas and boiled googies for lunch...I so need to go food shopping - LOL!! Should really try and get a big one in soon before bubs arrives!! Chat later!
-
goodness.
Glad to hear everything's going well Mel!
Kris, I'm addicted to your FB page, I've even subscribed via SMS so I don't miss anything!
Anyhows, still trying to TT Pip - yesterday he did a huge poo artwork over his entire room, I ran out of sugarsoap so was using windex to clean the walls / cot / dresser / floor. Ughs. Scrubbed his little fingers with the nailbrush to try to get rid of the smell on his fingers. Lawdie knows how much he ingested!
-
Hi!
Kaz - Oh you poor thing with all the poo - I would have cried - lol!! Hope he gets the hang of it all soon...I had Dylan yesterday just stand up on his chair at the kitchen table and just wee...little bugger...he's good most of the time but every so often he gets the lazies and can't be bothered going to the toilet...
LOL - you dag - I didn't even know you could subscribe to a page! hehehe. Gosh, I ramble on so much!! hehehe.
-
Thanks for the tip Kaz...I will try and subscribe to that one too!!!
How terrible about the poo...ggllaahhh....makes me want to gag! Yuck. Hopefully he gets the hang of it soon. I have been lucky with Olivia...but apparently girls are easier to train? Thats what I have heard anyway!
Kris- I love that moment when they put bubs on your chest...it does tear me up too. When I had the water birth with Rebecca, I was the one who bent down and caught her and bput her on my chest...it was so amazing. I watch that footage and always cry. I think thats why am a bit sad to go to Dandenong hospital because they dont do water births. I'll see what vibe I get from my first appointment and then re think home birth:) Even if we have to pay top $$ for it!
Well...we are off to the Doclands tonight for a skating session. I dont remember the last time I ice skated, but dh plays it every week and will be moving some of his games to the new rink. Olivia went for a bit of a skate last night and shat herself!!! Hopefully she will get on tonight!
-
Hi all,
good to hear from everyone.
Well, we are having a lazy at home day. Everyone is a bit out of sorts here today. I'm have been having trouble sleeping for the past few weeks and some nights all I'm getting is 3-4 hours. I just can't turn my thoughts off even though I'm dog tired. On top of the kids waking too and Lil being sick the past few days too, it's getting on top of me. I so don't cope with no sleep! So I am one big grumble bum, though DH let me have a nap with Liam and then let me sleep when he woke up, so I got an hour or so before the kids playing and yelling woke me up! DH is just grumpy too and I think the kids are just bored and feeding off our moods. They're playing with playdough at the moment, so they're busy and occupied. We will be going for a walk soon to the park so that should alleviate some of the grumps!
Mel, Lil is all better now. It wasn't pretty there for a while! And I agree, nothing worse than vomit. At least with gastro, you can put a nappy on them and it's mostly contained, with vomit it just comes up where ever they are, be it sitting on your lap or laying in bed...yucko! Not long now to leaving work, about 20ish days to go! I so can't wait til the end. I just tried to convince DH to let me take some holidays before I actually leave, but he said no, we need all the money we can get for now, so annual leave and long service leave payouts, which is true, but I so don't want to go to work these days.
I think if we have another bub, we will not find out the sex. I really loved the feeling of not knowing and ifnding out when Lily was born. It wasn't as exciting when Liam was born cause we knew he was a boy and were told from several U/S's so we were pretty sure! If we do have another we will 'officially' start ttc in May. Not next month cause it will produce a chrissy/new year bub, lol!! Not that there's anything terribly wrong with that but if I can avoid it I will. My brother is born on chrissy day and he always seems to miss out.
Have fun skating, but be careful!!
Kris, I hope you're feeling a bit better now. But being 39wks pg, with 3 kidlets, I would expect that you'd be feeling a bit yuck! I feel a bit yuck today with 2 kids, and no belly bubba, lol! I hope you resting and DH is looking after you!
Isn't it funny that you still get anxious over labour since you've done it before. And if I remember correctly, you have fairly straight forward births, don't you? I think I will look forward to do it again. Though might be a bit anxious that I won't be able to have my doula with me since I will be birthing soooo far away!
Kaz, how disgusting with Pip and his poo. *gag* Gross! You poor thing having to clean it all up :( Lil still won't poo in the toilet. SHe's fine with weeing, dry all day even through her sleep, but poos, I just can not convince her to go on the toilet for some reason. But she does get a nappy to go in.
Ok going for a walk before the kids go psyco, or mummy snaps! Happy Sunady girlies!
-
Well, I was the last to post, but I am not going to wait for someone else to post this time, lol!!! I usually do, but you know what, who really cares??!! :p
We are ok. Both the kids have had a vomitting bug, and I think it has gone down to Li's lower half iykwim! My god the past few days he's been doing the most foul smelling farts! I check him everytime because I think he's poo'd but most of the time he's just farted *gag*!! But his poos aren't any better either! Though he's been ok this arvo so far, thank goodness, because I'm starting to feel nausious now too. Hopefully it's not this bug cause DH is working tonight. I don't want to be up all night puking on my own, with them whining! Though they have been sleeping ok lately. It's me who is having trouble sleeping with everything that's going on with moving and my mum and stuff!
I had a meltdown the other night. I was over tired with the kids being sick, dh working nightshifts and me just not being able to sleep. I went to bed and couldn't sleep after laying there for an hour fighting the tears and got frustrated with myslef and ended up bawling in the bathroom for an hour, then got up and went into the loungeroom and bawled some more while I folded clothes, lol! Figured I might as well do something practical while I was being so ridiculous. When DH got up in the morning, he asked when I folded the clothes, and I told him at 2am, and burst into tears. He had come to bed after me and would have seen that I wasn't there and never came to see where I was, so I was upset about that. As well as us just not having much time together, even when the kids are in bed we've been doing our own thing, I try to sit with him and talk and he gets annoyed cause he wants to watch tv, or whatever he's doing, or he wants to talk to me as soon as I step foot into the door after work and I am so not in the mood then. So the past few nights we have been turning the tv and computer off and MAKING time to sit together and talk or whatever. It's so nice.
Kris, how's things going? Bubs is due any day now isn't he? I hope you're going ok!! How exciting for you though! :D
Mel, how are you feeling? I hope the morning sickness isn't too bad!
Kaz, how's things? How is pip going with the toileting?
Dis, Where are yoouuu!!!??? I can imagine you are terribly busy with getting into a work routine and with the two boys! I hope all is well!
Ok, that's all I can think to prattle on about! Plus I should do something domestic....ick!
-
Hi!
Just a quick "me" post tonight...am feeling super tired and have been having pre-labour pains all arvo so just going to hop into bed and try and get some sleep! Had a hosp appt today and all is good with bubs such a big waiting game at the moment...
Will try and catch up with properly tomorrow!! Hope you're all well! xoxoxo
-
Lil, what a horrid night, are you OK? I know what you mean about not talking. No good on your DH to not look for you :(
Kris - Did you make it to your EDD with any of the other three? How strange that you're doing it in the opposite order!!!
Us - well last year DH promised me he'd go to the flower & garden show with me, and after renegging he agreed to come .. well he had Pip in a tanty on the train within 6 stations of home (i mean, how the heck? I went to the pram to get Pip's drink and DH ripped my handbag out of Pip's hand (and the cow pen in there that he's allowed to play with ...) .... took another 6 stations to calm him down and then DH caused another tanty! I think that what it is that he stresses and his voice rises and that sets Pip off .. well we had another 4 or 5 tanties in the next 3 hours and 2 domestics ... DH left early and not a single problem from Pip after that ... well I didn't enjoy the show at all, with a pouting DH and crying / screeching Pip.
TTing is going well, DH mostly has Pip running around in undies with no pants and it seems OK. not sure how to make the transition to pants...
-
CONGRATULATIONS KRISTIE ON THE ARRIVAL OF JAYDEN:clap:
-
Oh, yay, he's here!!!!
CONGRATS KRIS!!!!
-
I was so excited to get kristies text message this morning! I told dh about it and we have frequently talked about Kristie ( sorry Kristie!) and how she fell pg with Jayden and stuff! So this morning he was asking me if I was happy with 3 or would rather 4! I said I am happy with 3 but I would also be happy with no more than 4. Basicaly he hasnt ruled out 4...OMG! He said it will all depend on financially how we go...fair enough. It is up to him because he is the bread winner at the moment and I know how anxious he gets when work is quiet. So thats my exciting news! However...if its 3 then its 3!
Kel....hope youre feeling better babe. How terrible you must feel to be sobbing away. I wish i was closer to give you big hugs. Hope you didnt end up sick.
Kaz- hows it going lovely? Sorry to hear about your crap day. Hope things improved. Sometimes dh's make things worse!
Bec is teething and super grumpy. We told the family I was pregnant. It didnt go down too welkl with my mum. She had a tanty because I didnt tell her after she had asked me several times. Put a spanner in the works. So it took all day yesterday for me to feel better about it. On top of that, my older brother has been talking to me about his fiance and his possible ..?2nd thoughts. So all week I have been listening and keeping secrets. The yesterday he came over to tell me that the drs think he may have testicular cancer....he sees the specialist today. Also wants me to keep that secret for a while. So I am the sounding board and feeling rather weighed down by it all. Ahhh to get that off my chest! Dh knows and has bee a great support over the week. Other than that i am good. My scan is in 2 weeks. Got to go...
-
congrats Kris!
Mel - details, details@!!!!!!
-
which details would you like Kaz???
-
ah it's OK, I just saw Kris' post on FB.
oooh she got her natural birth!!!!!!!!
-
Oh those details! I got a text this morning but I dont think it had the finer details. Fantastic news though isnt it! Cant wait to see if he looks like all the others...they are spit images of each other...well i think anyway.
News from me...my brother saw the specialist today and is booked in for surgery to remove one of his balls....he was having a ct scan this evening to see if it has spread. No news so far and I dont want to call him because I am sure he will need some space to process it all. Poor bugger. He is due to get married in July. I only hope its all good news.
-
Ohh, big hugs Mel. Do you know if it is definately testicular cancer or is it just a tumor? Hopefully it's not malignant. If it is I hope they've caught it early. How scary for you all.
-
Oh gawd, how terrifying for him.
-
He wont know unltil they romve it. They said that they will remove it as opposed to taking a biopsy because a biopsy may not give a good indication. He hasd his scan yesterday to see if it has infact spread...so just waiting on the news from that. I feel for him. He is such a mans man too...hes already organised for a prosthetic ball to be put in!!! Funny guy!
Well we are off to have photos done today of the girls and their cousins...6 girls in total! A mothers day present for MIL. Hopefully I can get one of my 2 for my mum.
HAve a good one.
-
Heys ladies, needed to share the news ... we got a BFP this morning.
Pls don't say anything on FB ... haven't told family etc yet, will wait until 12weeks.
-
congratulations kaz, when are you due?
Happy birthday to my princess olivia...shes a big girl...3!
-
Theoretically Dec 6 or 8, I can't remember!!!
We're going to test again on Saturday (maybe should be Sunday?) to confirm. I have to see my doc on Wednesday for my depression & thyroid, so may as well make it a long appt!!!
-
:clap:Yayyyy, Kaz!!!:confetti: Congrats hun, how excitement!!!
-
Hi!
Kaz - WOOHOOOOO!!! Congratulations!!!! I'm so happy for you!!!! How are you feeling??
Mel - Happy Birthday to Olivia!!! Hope you're feeling well also!
Kel - Big hi!
Yep - bubs is here! Born on Monday morning at 5.55am after a night labour - urggghhh!! Never though it would end but I managed to stay drug free and no stitches - which I'm quite proud of considering he was 8lb 2! LOL!!!!
It certainly wasn't any easier 4th time around that's for sure but it was great at the family birth centre at the angliss. I ended up nearly having him on the toilet and finished up standing up with Michael holding me up and the midwife had to catch him - LOL! I think I needed gravity to help me as I was getting nowhere on the bed...I'm SOOOOOOOOOO relieved that I don't have to go through that again and am very excited that our family is complete. He's absolutely gorgeous and I'm loving my big cuddles. The boys are going really well as well and MIchaels being amazing helping out at home. Not getting much sleep at night at the moment although my milks come in well and truly today and he's started to stretch out a bit more between feeds so hopefully that will happen at night as well soon...would be great to have him a bit more settled before MIchael goes back to work anyway...
Ok - I'm off to bed - will try and keep up where I can - am not spending much time on the computer as you can imagine!!
Happy Easter to you all!! xoxooxooxo
-
Wow, sounds like the birth you wanted Kris!
Early days here, obviously .. few niggling pains in my sides, other than that the nausea's kicked in already...
-
Hello ladies, how are you all?
Hope everyone had a great long weekend! Ours was very quiet. We just had family dinner on Sunday with my bro, SIL, neice and nephew and mum come over. I didn't get the kids much chocolate and we aren't religious at all, so no church or anything! We had a little egg hunt inside our unit, which was fun for Lil but Li had no idea, and ran around like an excited puppy, lol! Damien worked most of the weekend too, so no fun with him, plus it rained most of the time. Bit miserable really!! As well as that Lil has a UTI and has been a bit miserable on and off for the past few days :(
Ok that's it for now, must go and prepare dinner...
-
Hi!
Kel - We had a pretty quiet weekend here as well! I even missed the easter egg hunt as bubs was asleep with me in bed...they had fun with Michael though running around the house collecting all the eggs! Very cute!
Poor Lily with a uti - hope she's better soon!
It's quiet in here at the moment!!
We're all good here...cruising along for now! Jayden was a bit unsettled today but is sleeping now so it's nice to have a break! I have to sneak out tomorrow between feeds and do a big food shop - we've run out of nearly everything - LOL! Will be strange to go out on my own!!
Ok...I'm getting ready for bed in a minute - I'll be going straight to bed after his next feed - I'm sooo tired!! Chat later!
-
Hey all, hows things?
Kel- poor lil. I hope she gets over it quickly. I remember being a little girl and having burning wee. Mostly through my 20's I would get a uti every month before af. No fun. I let it go one time and ended up with a kidney infection, which I wouldnt ever wish on my worst enemy. Since having the girls though, I have seemed to be lucky and only have had one every now and then. When do you move? Not long now?
Kris- must come over for cuddles in the next few weeks:) Oh and I will give the baby cuddles too! I had my midwife appointment today. I am going to a different hospital and they do birth centre but the stay is 24 hours only. I am used to staying for 3 nights, so my question to you is how do you deal with visitors? Do you have stipulations? When I have been at the hospital for 3 nights, everyone would come and that way it was nice and quiet when I got home. I know how emotional I am when I get home, so I would prefer quiet. Do you do certain hours or you dont care!!!??
Kaz- hows the pg going? got m/s? My nausea seemed to settle, but today kicked up a notch. Its just plain revolting!
Us- we went camping for easter to halls gap. Girls had a ball with the kangaroos and dirt! olivia got bitten by a bull ant! We took the girls 4wd and Liv didnt like it but they both ended up falling asleep for about an hour of bumpy tracks!
Ok I have to go to bed...tired tired!

cool!
Kris - sounds lovely though, sounds like you're enjoying snuggles. I'm with Mel, I need cuddles!!!!
Mel - where did you stay in Halls Gap? Pip loves up there, we must go again. Erk on the bullant :( good question re visitors, I was wondering the same thing.
Kel - so it is an UTI? poor little mite, hope she gets better soon.
Me - well nausea not so bad so far, vita wheat nibbling keeping it under control so far. Bit of pulling around my midriff, can't remember that with Pip? Is it normal? Definately feeling like nana naps in the afternoon though!!! Seeing my GP tomorrow for my checkup (depression & thyroid) so have made it a long appointment to fit in the pregnancy stuff too.
DH won't let me have a homebirth (boo, hiss) but we're looking at the Angliss family birth centre for a midwife-led birth with my GP supervising if required.

Kaz...we stayed at the caravan park behind the pool. I love it there too. Just dont love coming home and having to do 6 loads of washing! I hear you on the home birth thing too! DH isnt too keen, plus we might be in the middle of renos, so am just going to Dandenong. I really wanted to have this one at Clayton as my other 2 were there. They changed the intake zone and now we are not in it:( Oh well, its only for birth! The midwife I saw yesterday was lovely. Hopefully its an indication that it will be all good!
As for the pulling I think its pretty normal. everything starting to stretch!
Is everyones kids waking up super early with the end of day light saving? I have been up since 5! yuck.

Hi!
Mel - Yep - kids are up early here as well! About 6am...Yet they're going to bed at normal time so who knows!! Have cranky boys by the arvo though...Ethan keeps falling asleep in the high chair while he's eating lunch!
Urgh - I've had a kidney infection as well - when I was about 17 - had to go on antibiotics in hosp for a few days - sooo horrible!
Would love to see you guys for cuddles!! Anytime!!
In regards to visitors...We haven't had heaps but we tried to cluster them...so I came home Monday arvo and we had visitors Tues arvo, then Thur and then Sat...having the day off in the middle was really good so we could all just chill out...it worked for us anyway...I've never normally bothered doing it that way but having the night labour this time we really needed to catch up with some sleep! It also worked well for the boys as they had visitors and then on the inbetween days Michael was taking them for a walk to the park so they had something to look forward to each day as such...
Anyway, I think you just have to do what suits you best - if you know you need some space when you get home let everyone know that you'll see them after you've settled in a week later...People need ot respect your decision!!
Glad you had a great trip away!!
Kaz - Your welcome to have cuddles anytime!! How did your appt go? Pulling sounds pretty normal to me as well...
I went through family birth centre at the Angliss and was really happy with them...I was all booked with Ethan as well but needed to be induced so was transferred to delivery suite but then got to come back to the birth centre room to sleep which was soooo nice!! It is a 24 h stay as well at the birth centre...I've never stayed that long though - LOL!
All good here...have the mchn coming out tomorrow finally - I can't wait to see how Jaydens doing weight wise - will make me feel better that he's getting plenty of milk - even though I know he is really but you know what I mean...it's just reassuring...
Other than that not much exciting happening!
Chat later!

Thanks for that Kris. I do like staying in the hospital and getting all my visitors over with, then coming home for quiet time...and a cry!!! I think I will just have to be strict with who and how long. Good to see youre going with with the 4 boys.
Kaz- how did your appointment go yesterday?
we are doing well today especially after yesterdays effort of a 5am start! I fell asleep on the couch at 9am and woke up an hour later with Becca fast asleep next to me! Olivia is getting such a big girl...while I was asleep she helped herself to snacks! Shes a funny kid. She doesnt like meat and tells us to get it off her plate, however, she will consume a whole packet of ham on her own! Or Kabana!
I have to get my 12 week bloods done and then have my scan on Monday. I am a bt nervous. Am always nervous around 12 weeks because we got such bad news with Liv and had the cvs in the end. I am hoping I am low risk this time again. M/s still coming and going, although more here than not. I didnt have it this bad with the girls. I am wondering if its a post m/c thing? I have been eating loads of cheese or toasted ham and cheese sandwiches...yum yum!
Ok better move....

Wow Mel! That's gorgeous, I wish Pip would do stuff like that, he's just way too busy though ...
Saw the doc yesterday, due to my age my DS risk is 1 in 165 ... he offered us CVS @ 10 weeks or bloods / scan + amnio if required ... we've decided to go non-invasive first off. Am now booked into the Angliss family birthing centre, might be able to get my waterbirth!!! YAY!!! My first appt with them is on the 8/5 (geeze that's a month away) and I'll get bloods done then ... No m/s here either, I was hoping cause maybe its a girl!!!! But who knows ... who knows.
Can't believe Jayden is already over his birth weight! Your milk must definately be gold there Kris!!!!
have a good day all.
