YAY on the baby shower!!!! I've never had one either - how wonderful for you, who's organising it? The work party sounds great, I didn't organise anything for Pip this year - meant to get around to Friends of the Zoo, but you know how these things don't happen!!!! Been wondering about how you're going, my mum & dad are driving down from brissie at the mo and I just suggested they go through Orange as opposed to Parkes cause of the road closures. Hopefully they won't get flooded in anywhere. Pip is alternating between being adorable and being a pain, and DH isn't wearing deodorant - WHY? it's freakin' 35deg by 10:30 and he stinks, and my sense of smell is so sensitive at the moment! And he gets upset if all I say is "forget the deodorant this morning did we" - apparently he hasn't showered yet since thursday (triple ugggghs) and only puts on deodorant after a shower - I wish he did!!!!

mmmmm pizza. i hear you on the food, it's so hard to get them eating. I just use bribery for sweets to get him through the mains. and limit snacks in the afternoon.

Hey lovely ladies.... sorry I have been MIA, I have been reading but not replying coz I just cant get the timing right....but now I have put the girls to bed and have hidden away in the loo!!! hehe!

Kel- ooh a baby shower. I havent had one of those. Have fun. Sounds like your body is taking it hard. I hear you on the memories of how I used to be.... fit, slim (er) working.... now i dont have time for any of it! It will come though. Glad Lil is sleeping through most nights too... about time! Hope Li settles soon. Becca was very clingy towards the end of my pregnancy too. Goos luck with the meal time saga. I hope he leans quickly that he gets what he gets.

Kaz- yes we missed you the other day. Poor you on not sleeping well. Looking forward to meeting quoll.... I am guessing you know the flavour!!! Maybe we can catch up post birth. Would love you to meet Amy and I would love to meet quoll. Oh and yuck on Trevs smell!

Hi everyone else!

AFM- we are settling in fine! Fine enough for me to start thinking about things....like my visit to the drs on Wednesday and trying to decide about contraception and if I want more kids. I have a feeling that I might...maybe. I think dh might too.... I have to say though that I hate the first 6 weeks of baby, its so hard and emotionally wrecking! Things have turned around now and are looking up. I am still expressing though which I hate with a passion. I took Amy to the osteo for the 2nd time and there has been some improvement in her feeding. She has done 2 feeds this weekend without needing ebm. Shes going through a growth spurt though and is almost constantly feeding at night... anyway I am hoping things will look up in the b/fing saga coz I am going to review it this time next week and make some decisions. I dont think I am ready to give up though.
Olivia is doing well. shes a delight most of the time and loves her sisters. Shes a great help too. She sleeps through most nights and I have recently taken her bed rail off and her connie off too (waterproof top sheet). Although she did wet the bed one night last week...first time in months.
Rebecca is doing well. She talks and talks and talks..... OMG she does not stop. Her language is so good and she has such a wide range of words. We are trying to potty train her but she wees/poos then says she needs to go or she will sit on the potty post wee! Shes been waking up of a night for some reason and cracks the sh*ts. So between everyone waking I dont get a load of sleep.

Ok better go... I need to do a grocery shop before it gets late.

ahhh Mel wow, hope your sleep improves. Good news on the feeding! And I LOVE that photo you've got in the ticker, so gorgeous!!!!!

Quoll - nope, don't know the flavour. Just back from a walk around Belgrave Lake park, didn't get any twinges or anything .. ah well.
Pip has been so cute, today he brought up his Thomas remote control (which has the music and sound on it) to play against my belly so baby will hear the train and music and be happy. So cute! And such an adult concept!

Kaz, yep, I'm excited about the baby shower, lol! One of the partners of the people DH works with is organising it. So lovely of her to do it, considering I have only met her about 3 times!! The other girls, who I assume are coming I know fairly well though. It does kind of make me sad that I have to come all the way out here for someone to see fit to celebrate my babies like this though...my own family and frinds never did :(
DH's work party yesterday was really good. Though today I am terribly sore and achey. I had lots of fun though, so in a way it's worth it (??!!) I ddin't sleep much and have been taking panadol religiously every 4hrs all night. Though surprisingly I am in good spirits, maybe cause I got out and had fun! I do wish I could have had a few drinks though, lol!
Yes, lots of road closures out this way. Lots of floods and water damage, though Cobar seems to miss the worst of it, which is good. But if we wanted to, I'm pretty sure the roads are closed from Dubbo, maybe even closer to us than that. Big floods north west of us too. We must be on a rise or something out here! And still more rain forecasted too. I feel really sorry for the poor farmers. They have all prepared for a huge locust swarm, which is pretty bad at the mo, though not as bad as first thought due to the wet weather, but now they're having to contend with the floods too. They just can't win. I definately wouln't want to be a farmer out here! Or anywhere I don't think!!
I had to LOL @ you're DH. Mine is the same. For some reason he will wash religiously if he's going to work, deoderant and aftershave every day. But have him home for one or two days and it's no shower for as long as he is abow to get away with it (which is usually no longer than a day or so until I say something!!) he's not really a stinky man considering the amount he sweats, but it's just not the point!! Though my sense of smell is terribly sensitive at the moments too, I usually have a pretty good sense of smell and at the moment, it's REALLY sensitive! But he sweats alot, then gets into my bed all grotty and dirty feet and disgusting!! UGH, men!!!
As for Liam's eating I have tried the bribery. I have tried everything, limiting foods, limiting drinks. I don't know what else to do, so now I offer him food if he eats, marvellous if not, he starves until I make something else. He gets no sweets or treats or anything unless he's eaten enough 'healthy' food for my liking!
How have you been hun? I can't believe Quoll is 'officially' due! I hope s/he isn't giving you too much trouble. Right now I am enduring some pretty horrible punches or whatever to my cervix and bladder!
How cute Pip is sharing his toys with Quoll! I'm sure that will change quickly once bub is here, lol! Lily said to me the other day that the baby was watching a teeny weeny tv in my tummy! Hehe. She's said some other funny things too, but I can't remember what!


Mel, I think we can forgive you for being MIA!! It couldn't be easy with 3 kids! It's hard enough to find time with just the two of my kids, lol! I guess I will find that out for myself in a few weeks though! Eeeek!! I am still feeling so disorganised! Maybe because I can't do much. I really want to get some serious cleaning done, but it's not going to happen unless DH does it.
Yay that Amy is still feeding ok and it's improving. You are doing a fabulous job with feeding her :clap:. The first 6-8weeks is the worst of it all. You're both still figuring each other out. Are you sleeping with her? Or do you get up each time she wants to feed? Do your big girls go to day care one day a week or something? I think that will be my saving grace, that I will have one day with bub all on my own.
Hehe, R is sounding alot like Liam. Remember when we used to say our big girls would talk and talk and talk?? Now it's our middle ones! Though Lil still goes through times when I just wish she would shut up! And I still ask her to stop talking!! I was also thinking of trying to get Liam to toilet train, but I vetoed it because baby is so close to coming and I just don't think he will get it. Lil was sooo easy to train, she almost did it all herself (Like Liv if I remember correctly??), but I don't think Liam will be as easy. I will wait til he's bigger and baby is here and we're all in a bit of a routine!!
And there's not much sleep going on here for me either. Yesterday morning I just got up because I was so sick of laying in bed doing nothing. Liam was tossing adn turning and my back hurt so I just gave up on sleeping since I had been laying therer for an hour or so, so at 5.30am I was up with the birds while the kids slept til about 6.45am (a sleep in in our house!)! Then when DH got up at 9am I was buggered, lol. I fell asleep on the lounge and dozed for a while, but had to get up and do the salads adn dips I was making for the chrissy party. At least I will get used to no sleep before baby comes!

Ok gotta go and hang out some washing....just about the only chore I can manage without too much hassle, lol! Sooo sad, haha!

Am trying so hard with this bfeeding stuff. Had my LC here yesterday and she basically said its a time thing and if I have the time we will eventually get there...but she cant say how long. A will happily suck from the bottle. She has issues with keeping suction and comes on and off and gets lots of wind too. LC suggested trying to put the teat over my nipple to see if she will suck better...lol....i suppose I can only try! She sleeps in our room in the bassinett, I get up every feed because theres no point in trying to feed her in bed because she doesnt stay on long enough so I would have to turn the light on and sit up to see what I am doing. The girls go to occassional care 8 hours a week. Although that finishes at the end of the week... I have been using that time to try bfeeding in peace! My house is a pig sty and the bathroom is ferral! I need sleep and have been up since 5am feeding and pumping and cleaning bottles... not to mention that i didnt get to bed til after 11 and was up a few times feeding and resettling babies/children. OMG.... I am so tired.

Adam looked at me pumping this morning and said....it looks painful and uncomfortable. Well it is. I hate it with a passion and dont know how much longer I can go so she better hurry up and do it properly soon. The base of my nipples burn from rubbing on the pump attachment and then that impacts on feeding coz it hurts....

I made the decision last night to just stop and give formula full time. So I have iven her nearly 8 weeks ebm and cant be happier. I only wish I could have been one of those women who just shove them on and off they go. Now for the wonderful weaning process..... Am feeling at peace wih it all though. Just make things easier in a sense and I have done it all before. I just hope shes ok on the formula. I will continue to express off for a few more days until I dont burst!

And Kaz....hope its all going well...I saw on fb your movements and cant wait to hear your announcement

oh Mel :hug: I know how it feels, I was similar with Pip. It's good though cause Adam will be able to do the feeds without any guilt on your part. And although twe would all rather bf, we know that formula is fine. :hug: Great effort in sticking it this long.

Thanks Kaz. I am just over being restricted to a pumping regime. If Amy was taking at least 1 feed a day from me then I know I would think differently because I would have some hope. The fact that in nearly 8 weeks of her life outside she has taken only 2 feeds and those feeds were long and hard to do. I am excited about getting my boobs back, my nipples are killing and it hurts when she latches on... so much so my mouth feels like it has the blood taste in it (strange but true).

All the best with you too. I hope Quoll makes an entrance soon for you and that you have a successful bfeeding journey.... if not take your words you have given to me and know that formula is fine!

Mel, you have done a marvellous job for Amy and she is such a lucky little girl that you have persevered for so long :clap:. I remember with Lil, that I just felt like her slave trying to feed her enough, booby, formula, pumping ebm. It was just all about feeding her. It really got me down and when I decided to stop pumping it was such a relief. I just fed her what I could from my boobs, then gave her a bottle if she needed/wanted one. When AF returned when she was about 5ish mths she wanted less booby and then when I got pg with Li, she didn't want it at all and finally weaned herself totally. Honestly it was kind of a relief not to have to worry about it so much any more, though in a way bottles and formula were a pita, it was nice to not worry about how I needed to feed her! I can't imagine how you're feeling doing all of that and having Liv and Bec to care for too. I was at my wits end and I just had her! When she finally weaned, I was upset, but a friend put it into perspective, saying that 'in the playground, will you be able to tell she's one of the children who have been formula fed or breastfed?' Which is true. She will grow just as healthily and strongly (is that a word, lol!) as a child who might have been breast fed from birth.

Kaz, I know how you're feeling too! After at least a week of serious pre labour with Liam and teo trips to the hospital for pain relief and sleeping tabs so I could sleep, I was sooo tired and over it. I hope Quoll will be here by morning for you :crossfingers:

AFM, well, I have done too much today and stuffed my back well and truely. Stupid me, but I am soooooo wanting to nest and getting frustrated that I can't. So I took some paracetomol and just got on with it :redface: once the pain relief wore off, I couldn't walk. Literally for about 3 hours this arvo I have just been laying on the lounge. Took more paracetomol (which thankfully works for me mostly)and I fell asleep for 2 hrs while the kids napped, which was bliss! Damien has just gone to get us some subway for dinner, complete with cookies (mmm, mmm yummo, though I still want some peanut MM's, or Cold Rock ice cream with peanut MM's, mars bar and cookies and cream icecream....OMG *DRRROOOOOLLLL!*). I didn't make it to the baby's stuff either, so I will try to do something in the baby's room tomorrow. Even just sort his clothes. I just haven't done anything for him at all, and I'm starting to feel anxious!

Hiya girls, how are you all doing?

Things have been so quiet around the place!! My belly buddies are really quiet too! But I guess it is the silly season and everyone is busy! I just don't have any where to go or any way to get there to be busy!! Things are very quiet at my house. I'm bored out of my brain, nothing is open today after 12, so I have nowehre to go. People have left town to go to family's place for chrissy, so the kids friends are mostly out of town. So I'm lonely, bored and feeling sorry for myself! DH is home today, but he just wants to watch movies...I'm so over tv! I have been laying down watching tv most arvos to try to ease my pelvis/back. Some days it works and cooking dinner is fine, some days it doesn't and I have to force myself to do things. Last night I was in agony and couldn't contain myself and just burst into tears while trying to get to the loo. DH hasn't seen me cry over my back at all and I think it shocked him that I was in that much pain. I am usually able to hide it, but last night I just couldn't. I think it might have helped him realise that I REALLY am in alot of pain some days and really do need his help. He's done a few loads of washing today and vaccumed last night for me, and he's been running around like a loony with the kids. It makes me so happy to see them playing like kids should play, not doing quiet things all day like drawing and building and watching tv, which is about all I can handle.

Mel, how are things? Have you and Amy settled into an easier routine now? I hope so hun, I hope the exhaustion and stress of trying to feed her has settled.

Kaz, how are you going? I guess you;re just waiting for the impending arrival of your bundle of joy!!

Kris, how was the move? I saw your pics on FB, the inlaws place looks really lovely and peaceful! And the boys certainly look like they're having fun!

Well, that's it, nap time for little people in myhouse, and maybe mummy too, lol!

Hey Kel- yep feeling great now I have feeding sorted! I feel less ristricted. Amy has settled into a great routine and everyone is happy. Shes gaining weight and growing big and strong with loads of smiles:)
Olivia is doing well. I had her measured and weighed and I just cant believe how big she is. Its hard to think that she started off a tiny 47cm and 2.9kg and now at 3 years and 8 months shes a staggering 103cms and 19kgs! Shes so great I love her to bits.
Rebecca is doing great too, I just had some time alone with her at the shops today, shes such a character! I love my girls so much.
I just put them in bunks too and they are doing so well. Alreaddy fallen off the ladder a few times but they were fighting... so I told them that they have to be careful otherwise they might break their arm! Scared them a tad!
Me I am doing fine. I have lots of weight to loose now! Now just to find the time and motivation! I also have to start to think of contraception! I have a script for the mirena but am a bit hesitant. Adam and I need to have a talk about our future plans and if it involes any more children, otherwise I might get something permanent done!
Kel- poor love, hope you got a nap and arent too bored. Not long to go now til you meet your little man. How exciting.
Kaz- whats happening? Its my brothers birthday today and what a lovely day to have a baby!!!

Mel, glad to hear things have settled. It's such a weight off your shoulders hey? I remember the feeling when Lil weaned. Can't believe how big O is!! I haven't weighed or measured Lil for a few months now (maybe 3ish?) but last time I weighed her she was 13kg and 90-something cm. I doubt she's grown too much since then...
Lily has been a right little brat today in particular, but since I said she was doing so well, she has just been awful! She's yelling at everyone, particularly Liam, who has no idea what to do with her, lol! Poor little man, he's just so in love with her and wants her to play with him and she's being so nasty!
Oh dear @ the bunks! Gosh here I am worried to put Liam in his big boy bed without a safety rail on it (he sleeps on the mattress on the floor at the mo because his bed is quite high) and your girls are in a bunk, lol! I'm such a worry wart!! I need to get over it and realise he's not a little baby anymore! But he just moves so much and even falls off his mattress, which is why I worry about the bed, lol!

Afm, the boredom, well, I still haven't found anything to ease it...I have been cleaning and nesting as much as my body will let me, and today I have really over done it, doing 3 loade of washing folding the extras that were int he spare/baby's room, mopping, vaccing, changing beds, polishing furniture, tidying toys ect....just way too much. I was buggered and fell asleep on the lounge while the kids napped. I woke to Liam hugging and kissing my nose. So so darn cute! But I fell asleep again while he watched tv and ate his bread crusts from lunch, lol! Tonight I will sort through the baby's clothes to see what I need to wash.
I have been really overly sensitive and crying at the drop of a hat lately. The other night Heffalump had moved and I wasn't feeling his movements much, which REALLY freaked me out. I was in tears trying to get him to move and kick. He finally did when DH came and talked to him he did a few soft kicks. Still I went to the docs and he said he's just moved a bit and was slightly posterior and he was probably kicking the placenta. But he seems to have moved back againa dn I'm feeling him where I was before. Though he seems to have slowed down a little. Tonight while putting Li to bed, I felt a few painful-ish period like pains deep and low in my pelvis coming with my BH. So things might be moving along a little. THough I am not getting hopes up yet, since I had pre labour with Liam for WEEEKKKS!! Plus there are no other signs either, and I need to get to Sydney before anything happens too, I'd really rather not be flown out to Dubbo to give birth on my own!!

How are you all after the biggest days of the silly season are over?? I was tired after chrissy day, but yesterday I was absolutely knackered!! Though it's funny cause no matter how tired I have been these last few days, I have been cleaning my butt off! Nesting I guess, trying to get everything done before we go to Sydney to have a baby!! ;)
My hips and back have been pretty bad, and yesterday I lived off panadol, just to get around the house. I did alot of cleaning, although I shouldn't have I should have just rested on the lounge, but I was just sooo bored laying there (I did try for an hour or so...)

Mel, you're brave going camping with a tiny bub, but good on you!! Hope you have a wonderful time! I hope it doesn't get too hot or rainy either!!

Kaz, how's it going hun? I hope things are settling well.
I am praying bubs stays put for another two weeks. Then he is more than welcome to come! I would really rather avoid an airlift out to Dubbo too!!
We weren't affected by the floods directly, though they did cut off the most direct exit route to Sydney. But you could still get out of the area, it was just that you had to take a detour that would add on a few hours tot he trip. And you couldn't get into Dubbo either.

Our chrissy was lovely! This is the first year that the kids have really 'gotten' chrissy, well Lily did, and she was just too too cute! When she woke to find her santa sack on the end of her bed, she was just soooo amazed and happy! She said to me 'Santa really did come mummy!!!' with the biggest eyes looking at me!! Then when we went out to the lounge and she saw all of the pressies there...well...!! She didn't know what to do with herself! Liam was still asleep so DH and I went to wake him to join the fun, and we came out to Lily naked in the loungeroom, wanting to put on clothes that were one of her pressies, and then she said 'But, but I need to wee mummy!!'. I told her to go and wee, and put Liam down to open his pressies and she was like a puppy running in circles wanting to open gifts with him, but needing to go to the loo, it was absolutely hilarious!!
We then went to a friends house for brunch, which was really lovely. We stayed til about 2.30 in the arvo and then we all came home and fell asleep for almost 3hrs!! I then cooked a big traditional roast for dinner, which was delish, and we had some yummy trifle for dessert which I have been hanging out to eat since I decided that was what I was going to make for christmas day, lol! All up it was a really lovely christmas considering we weren't with extended family for the first time ever!

I think I should still have some net access, though won't be on so much as I ususally, which is probably a good thing, lol.

AFM: STILL waiting for Spongey to arrive. Having the first two bubs early has turned out to be horrible! I'm not even a week overdue yet and so totally over it. I have no signs of impending labour, but then again I didn't with the boys either. I feel huge, sick, sore and very sorry for myself! Jealous of all the celebs having babies that were due after me :lol:
Ben is doing great. He finally, FINALLY started pooing on the toilet this past week. It has taken him SO long and a lot of different efforts and techniques to get him to go, but we are finally there :D Still in night nappies though. He is so excited about the arrival of the new baby, but he has been counting down for nearly a week when he told me I still had 10 days to go. He hasn't wavered from that countdown at all, and every morning updates me. Today we're down to 4 days. If he's right, it's going to be very freaky! :lol:
Jared is doing well too. He's finally sleeping through the night most nights - yay! He is the most adorable, cheeky thing in the world. His personality is hilarious, and his smile melts my heart. The little bugger flashes that smile and can get away with just about anything :lol: He is SO affectionate and will climb onto my lap (what little there is of it!) at least 10 times a day, just for a quick kiss and cuddle. He really loves skin on skin contact. I can't believe he'll be two in just ten days!!!

DH and I are great too. DH has been fabulous, especially this past week. I'm just so exhausted (not sleeping) all the time, he has to do everything around the house and he hasn't complained one single time. My mum has been coming out to help with the boys about every second day which is great because I can barely haul myself off the lounge!

That's about it. Basically we're in a holding pattern at the moment, just waiting for Spongey to decide to join us out here in the big, wide world!

Hey Mel.... good to see you on here! Glad Im not the only one up early this fine morning! I have already been to the supermarket at 6am.... kids and dh are still asleep:)

I know how you feel when you have 2 babies who come early and the 3rd takes its time. Amy came on her due date and I was ready a good 3 weeks earlier! I hope it happens for you soon. Yay on bens progress with the toilet. Its hard I say! Olivia was pretty easy though and probably because of her nudist habbits I was able to go with the flow! We are tt kind of anyway Rebecca. She is a nudist too so we have the potty out on the deck and sometimes she will use it. She refuses to poo in there and will poo anywhere but the potty. Yesterday she actually went on the toilet without me having to ask her and she did it 3 times... followed by 1 on the floor!
Jared sounds so lovely, I keep up with yours and everyone elses pics on fb. Camping was fun except I hate packing, setting up, pulling down and coming home and washing... all the inbetween stuff is great. Amy did well as did the other 2!

Kel- I saw your tummy on fb... omg you are huge! How lovely though! I suppose not for you! All the best with going to Sydney and having your little man. Cant wait for the news.

ASM- all is well. Amy is such a delight. She sleeps through and last night she moved in with her sisters. I was worried I wouldnt hear her but I do have a monitor.... she slept from 9pm til just before 6am and has been doing that on and off for about 2 weeks. If she wakes its for a feed around 330am. So nice to have a good sleeper so far!
Olivia is doing well, I cant believe shes nearly 4!! She had so much fun camping and now shes home shes bored. Rebecca is great too.... I am so blessed to have beautiful happy children. Dh is well, he will be back at work tomorrow:( Oh well. Hes been a great help. He asked me the other night about our friends car and how many seats it has and when I said 5 he commented that it wouldnt be enough to fit 4 children! I think he is keen on another one. Me too I think! I am not on any contraception. I had the script for the mirena and one for the normal pill but havent done anything coz AF hasnt come back (although I think it wont be long). Lots to think about hey! Anyway, I am enjoying my morning peace so might go get coffee before the mad house wakes up! Take care

Well, we arrived in Sydney safely. We ended up doing it ove 2 days thankfully. It was a loooong trip!! Sitting in the car isn't easy when you're as huge as I am! I am going well, plodding along. So over being pg, mostly just that people are staring at me like they haven't ever seen a heavily pg woman before. So many comments about being huge and when am I due...when I say not for about 2 weeks people nearly fall over!
I have been losing bits of my mucuos plug and having crampy pains at night, lots of strong BH too, but I don't feel like anything is impending at all. I fully expect that baby will be staying put for at least another week or so!! I ahve been doing lots of walking and shopping and taking EPO and RLT. I will have to buy some pineapple, lol!! Trying to do what I can to encourage bubs, but he will come when he's good and ready!
Been buying up a storm while we are close to shops, lol! It's making me miss the convenience of being near shops. But I also miss being at home and not sweltering in this ridiculous humidity!! It's amazing how quickly I have gotten used to minimal humidity and the type of dry heat out in the bush!
Wonder who will pop next.....??
I don't have much of a chance to get online at the mo. I'm at the library at the moment! But if anyone else pops congrats! I hope you are all going well and that our impending labours are all nice and 'easy' (!!) and just the way we hope they will be. Good luck lovelies!

Wow all these new babies in our thread! Hope youre all well. We are doing fine. Amy is 3 months old already. shes a champ! Rebecca is great, am starting to tt her, its kind of hit and miss. Olivia is fantastic. I cant believe shes nearly 4! Shes so smart and witty and loving and firey and I got to go coz Amy is hungry! I am starting my diet today.... 17kgs to loose! Wish me luck!

Hi... hope youre all well. So many new babies around so you must all be busy. Things are going well here, Amy is nearly 4 months old now:) Liv and Bec are back at day care now, off to 4 year old kinder for her next year!... Then Bec the following year. Still havent decided if our family is finished yet! I dont want to get pregnant for the wrong reasons... to have a boy.... i need to want to have another baby.... anyway its a while away before we think of anything like another one!

We have only just gotten BEN to poo on the toilet, and as you know, they are almost four!!!! We just had to find the right bribe in the end, he understood what he had to do, but kept telling us he was scared, but what he was scared of changed all the time. His teacher told us he was just playing with us because he'd poo at school!!!! Grrrr. Anyway, I can't really help you - sorry.

My kids are amazingly all asleep at the same time, and while I should be doing the folding, cooking, dishes or hanging out some washing, here I sit on BB and FB!

Mel, sorry no idea on the poos on the loo. We had the same issue with Lily. Like Mel says, it was just the right bribe at the right time that worked. After that day, she started to poo on the loo, other wise she would get a nappy and ask to put it on so she could poo. I ddin't make a big deal of it, every now and then I tried her on the toilet to poo, but otherwise, I didn't worry. She did it in her time.
How exciting to think there may be another little bub for you guys! I get excited again to think of another baby too, but I know I couldn't cope doing this again, and DH definately wouldn't have another one! Plus the OB warned me that if I had another bub, I could haemmorage really seriously the next time around and I had to consider that if we were going to have #4. And I just couldn't be pg again. Ergh!! 3 is enough for us!

We are going well. The hopes I had earlier on that I might have a good bub in Caelan were a bit premature! While he's a pretty good baby, he rarely cries, his sleeping isn't the best. Day sleeps are hard to come by and he's feeding 3hrly through the night, while that is 100 times better than the other two, I am up 3-4 times a night to feed, and often once a night there is a 1-2hr party going on, usually at about 4am. So tired. I don't know how things will work when DH does a night shift...so not looking forward to it. Liam still needs someone to sleep with him. And I am cosleeping with Caelan...and there's only one of me....so who know's how that will work??!!

Long time no post!! and just a short note as I have to get some sleep...loving the country but we have a mouse in the house which is freaking me out so have been sleeping awfully!

Kids are all well! Jayden has started walking - he's growing up way too fast!! He's gorgeous but WOW he's been a difficult baby!! Ethans going through terrible twos but he is just so gorgeous - he's talking really well and we're just in transition for him to drop day sleeps...Dylan is growing up and is just such a beautiful boy - he's so affectionate...poor little thing is missing Louis so much now that he's at school! OMG I have a boy at school - CRAZY!!! He's loving it though and is settling in really well!

I must say I'm looking forward to nearly being at the end of my reproduction stage - lol...Will be weaning Jayden when he turns 1 - he's got his first tooth and has started biting a bit so maybe I'll even start weaning a bit sooner!!!! So by April I will officially have my body back after 6 years and 3 months!!!

Omg...Michael put traps down last night and caught 2 under our tallboy! GROSS!!!
Dylan starts kinder next Friday...although he did do a term and a half of 3yo kinder last year in Cranbourne...he did well but is used of Louis and Ethan picking up his slack so took a little time to get used to having to pack up right on time etc...He's looking forward to starting again soon though!

MIchael and I went out for dinner last night for Valentines day - was sooo nice to head out! Jayden slept a little better as well which is nice - he's second tooth is almost through so hopefully he settles down soon...Anyway, hope you all had a good weekend! Chat soon!

Hey all, Im just in here for a vent. I have possibly had the worst week and today tops it, but who knows if tomorrow will be any better. Olivia has developed an aversion of going to the toilet for a poo. She now associates it with pain, so is pacing, screaming clingy. She has poo oozing out of her bum and walks around saying its ouchy. Anyone want to give me some tips? I dont know how to change her mind set... its only started this week:(

there's a laxative to make it softer - one of the ladies at work used it with her daughter, and combined it with star charts. Did she have constipation at all?

Kris - sounds lovely - wish we did something like that!

Am giving her lactulose and prunes and loads of water. It makes her poo but its the whole getting her to sit on the toilet thats the problem. I dont think she was constipated at all. Maybe she was... maybe she has a bit of a tear... I cant see anything at all. Her poos appear soft when she does them

As for us, we had a great day yesterday at the seymour expo - Louis went on a camel ride and they had a big toy story jumping castle...was a huge day though and we all (me included) fell asleep on the way home! LOL!
Kids are going well...we've started playgroup up here and the ladies seem pretty nice! It's been crazy with Louis starting school - I pretty much have my own homework every night with all the notes to fill in etc...lol...It will certainly be crazy with all of them in school/kinder!
Dylan started kinder on Friday - just a half an hour with me...his teacher seems really nice and the kinder is great! He goes on his own on Friday for 2 1/2 hours but that's it...next year they have 2 x 5 1/2 hour sessions so that will be pretty full on! Good preperation for school though I suppose!

Ok, better get some stuff done I suppose! It's been gorgeous weather up here but we had a cool morning this morning...waiting for the sun to come out - it's meant to be 24 though so should turn out nice...waiting to get some washing off the line so I can do more - it is certainly never ending and Louis was so tired he wet the bed last night so I think I'll have to do a load in the dryer as well...I hate doing that but I only have a temporary clothes line at the moment so can only fit out about 1 load at a time...

Hi Kristie! You sound like youre having a ball up there. Busy times ahead for you whn all your little men start school/kinder!

We are doing ok.... had a better day with Olivia yesterday. Shes been having lactulose daily over the weekend and yesterday she just couldnt hold on so had a poo. She was so excited that it didnt hurt (me too) so she sat on the toilet and finished it off so all her poos could have a poo party!!! Hopefully this means the end of it all. I have lost the plot with her so many times this weekend and I havent shown my good side. I have been very awful and made her cry and also made myself cry. But I was so angry with her. Part of it was also her testing her limits with me, at the moment everything is no i dont want to or you do it. So when she didnt want to go to the loo she would get our attention and then as soon as she had it she was off again and just wouldnt listen to anything we had to say.
I really needed to take a step away from her this weekend. I would never hurt her but she made my blood boil. Luckily we came through it alive! I hated this weekend and I really hope that there arent too many like it!

Anyway they are at day care today. Amy is home with me and shes unsettled as all get up and go... thankfully shes trying to sleep with the occassional scream thrown in. Rebecca is fine.... poor little mite gets left out in the shadow of Olivias poor behaviour and Amy needing to be cared for so I make sure that we try and spend quality time with her.

Oh and my weight loss sux big time. I have been riding 4 days a week and eating really well only to loose 100gms again this week. Not happy. I spoke to the gp about it but he said to wait til AF arrives and if my weight hasnt budged after that then we will address it. Still not back on the pill..... just trying to toss up what I want to do... another baby or getting my tubes tied?!?!?

Mel, sounds like a shocker of a weekend. Hope things improve this week, sounds like they are on the way up already :) I'm pretty sure that the pushing the limits thing is an age thing. Ben has been getting on my nerves lately too, and the fights between him and Jared are going up a notch. They don't even really fight, one will just hit the other for no reason! The joy of boys I guess. I actually think Jared is the instigator a lot of times and really hate telling Ben "You should know better". Sometimes I forget that he's still only three. He's also had a big adjustment with Josh arriving on the scene.

Kris, sounds like a fun day out. I know what you mean about 'homework' :lol: I'm the vice president at the pre school so between notes for Ben and the few things they ask me to do, I have my homework to do :lol:

Kaz, how's your newest little man going? Does Pip adore him? I'm finding Ben to be a BIG help at times with Josh, although I rarely ask him for help. He volunteers a lot so I let him help, but I don't want to put pressure on him to help too much.

Us: Well we just had my 6 week check and Josh's first vax. Neither of us were particularily thrilled with it all, but we survived. I'm taking the two little boys the clinic tomorrow, we're overdue for Jared's 2 year check and I want to see how much Josh weighs now. I'm guessing around 5.5 - 6kgs already. My boys tend to chunk up quickly since they are mega pigs, although Josh doesn't feed as frequently as the other two did.

Ben is doing okay. He's learning to write at school and sounds out some three letter words which continues to amaze me. Montessori is just perfect for him and he's really thriving. We're discussing what to do about school though, whether to send him private or public. He'll do kindy at Montessori (I think you call it Prep in Vic, it's the year before 1st grade) and then go straight into 1st grade. The primary school near us isn't too bad, but the attached High School is pretty awful. We're considering sending him to an Anglican K-12 school instead, but we just don't know at this stage. We have to decide soon so we can make sure we're on the waiting lists - it freaks me out that we have to do all this already!

I hear you on the blood boiling Mel - I am clenching my fists with Pip a lot - he's just been sent to bed with no story and no teeth clean cause he's just being naughty. That's good news on the poos this weekend - from talking with my friend, the fear of hurting was causing her daughter to hold on - I do hope it's not an attention thing, for your sake.

Jen, that sounds great with Ben! I can't believe he's writing and spelling! I just am spending all my time with Will, and Trev's looking after Pip, which means that Pip is watching waaaay too much TV. Pip's offering to help, and Will is getting loved to death by Pip - what is it with them touching the blasted soft spots on the head????

We've got Pip in 3-yr-old Kinder this year, then he'll do 4-yr-old Kinder, then Prep, then school. So Prep's in 2012 for us - the cut-off for being 5 for Prep is May 1 down here, and given he's April 26, I'd rather keep him back a little. Least it means that when he's 18, so will the other school kids in his class. We're starting to phone around for schools, there's a catholic primary school about 100m from us that we'll check out, and there's a private boys school which is good for technical, not so much for pure maths etc - but we'll put his name down at a few high schools so we can have the choice when we find out his strengths.

James is killing me...He has gone from being a sweet, quite, shy boy to now refusing to go to bed (still sleeping in my bed) to not listening to a thing I say and his new thing is to show his doodle all the time...Driving me insane...I never remember Natasha being anything like this....
