    Ooo I'm first

"Bubble" (yet to be named) was born this morning(19/6) at 34+3 weeks gestation. He is currently in the NICU, but I am hoping his breathing gets better overnight and he'll be up here on the ward with me soon

Look forward to sharing journeys with everyone else

    Hi Guys,

My name is Eloise and I am the proud and extremely happy mum to "Leon", who arrived on the 18/06/09 at 3.24 AM.

So far he is a very calm yet alert little baby and I do not know what I would do without him.

Sally - on Tristan being home so quick!!! He is a little champ!!!

Leah was born at dinner time on the 15th and was due on the 20th so I got to know a lot of the girls who should be in here through belly buddies. Being late in the day we are kind of half way between baby buddies groups so I am going to go in both

She is quite a happy little bub. She is very petite though, right now, at 2.5 weeks she is wearing a 00000 suit. It is starting to get a little bit small for her though, so she will be in 0000 for our night out tonight and I doubt she will get back into the 00000 by tomorrow.

Good to see you in here ali

Tristan is 2 weeks old today! He's waking only once overnight, with a last feed at around 10pm and first morning feed around 8am. Usually waking around 3am, which is just fine for me

CHN is coming over for a home visit on Tuesday, cant wait to weigh him!

    Hi Ladies,

Well i can believe that Blake is already 8 weeks old....hes doing well...hes now 5kg or 11lb 56cm long...still breast feeding but he still takes formula after feeds at night...but slowly having to offer a topup of formula during the day....hes just not content but its good hes gaining weight and growing and i dont mind...ithink i like the closeness when i am feeding him and its nice to sit for 30mins lol
He had his first needls this week and the poor little bugga cried the house down so it was a little upsetting for me even though ive been through it many times before it still breaks your heart but its worth it in the long run.

He are some pics of Blake ....

    Hi all,

Chrissy: Noah has that top Too cute. He also has one that says "My Dad, My hero" from Cotton on Kids. Blake is very cute.

Noah is doing really well. Smiling lots and getting very chubby His dedication (christening) is in 2 weeks and I can't wait. We took him to the beach for a little while today. He put his little feet in the sand and smiled at us all.

Went to Big W today and bought some nappies and clothes etc for Noah. Got him some cute little shorts for $5 cause he's starting to get to hot in his long pants.

If anyone's in Sydney I would love to catch up with you. Let me know

    Bye

The photo's of Blake are so cute

Tayla had her shots yesterday and she handled it really well, i'm so proud of her. She is a little grumpy today though but she is getting lots of cuddles and affection.

We are also treating her for silent reflux, she has probably had it all along the poor thing. i bet she isn't even lactose intolerant as we first thought, but we won't be changing her formula until we get the reflux sorted. The poor thing she has all the horrible symptoms. We are trying mylanta and gaviscon before putting her on the prescription stuff. Hopefully we can help her because she is getting worse and worse and has only been drinking 80-100mls 5 times a day. I am keeping a close eye on her weight gain, atm it is still good.

Hope your bubs are happier than mine

    Afternoon Ladies...

He also has one that says "My Dad, My hero" from Cotton on Kids.
Sophie has that one too! I think DH felt a bit special when I dressed her in it the other day, lol.

    Immunisations...

Julz - good to hear Tayla went well with hers and I hope she gets some relief from the Mylanta and Gaviscon.

Chrissy - Poor Blake, it sounds like he was not at all impressed with his needles!

We went to get Soph's done the other day at community health, filled out all the forms and stuff, only to get into the room and be told that they couldn't do them because she was 4 days shy of 8 weeks. DH had taken the day off to come with us, so he wasn't very impressed. DH and I did get the whooping cough vaccination for ourselves though. I rang the dr's Thursday and asked if I could get Sophie's needles done today and was told yes, so we get in there and the receptionist told us they had no nurse in today! So we've got an appointment for Monday...

We did get Miss S checked and she's doing well, weighing 9lb 3oz and 55.5cm, she feels like such a little heifer now!

    Hope everyone else is well

    Hi ladies

My name is Veronica and my son Spencer was born on 16th June 2009 weighing 7'2 oz. He is little brother to Emmaleigh is was born in August 2005.

Spencer is trying to hold his head up and smiles all the time. He's a pretty happy boy unless he is hungry!
He had his injections on Thursday so he was a bit grizzly for the rest of the day, but he is happy.
We have our 9 week assessment on Monday so I will be able to see how big he is now.

Currently he sleeps from 11pm to 7am so i'm pretty lucky with the sleep thing.

Anyway, thats it about us. hope to chat to you ladies soon

    Veronica

Hi Veronica, welcome and congrats!! Tristan sleeps from roughly 10pm until 5ish when he comes in with us and goes back to sleep for another 1.5-2 hours.

Erin, that sucks how silly! As if 4 days is going to make a huge difference!

Julz, poor Tayla Tristan's reflux is getting better, just as the dr's said it would he appears to be growing out of it. (his is caused from being born prematurely)

Chrissy, I'll try and get on tomorrow to look at your pics

Baby, I'm not going to a mothers group. I dont fancy trying to occupy Brendan during the time

We are ok, all sick, Brendan being the worst tristan thankfully only has sniffles.

Sally - sounds like Tristan is doing well! I think Amelia is in the 50th percentile for weight and 10th for length (I could be wrong, she was weighed on Monday and I wasn't really paying attention to what the nurse was saying, I was too impressed with her weight gain!)

Chrissy - Blake is just gorgeous! Great news about his wind and reflux too!

We just got back from a nice long walk, the weather was so windy here at the start of the week that I'm making up for it now

    Hope you are all well!

    hello ladies,

looks like everyone is doing great with their lo's.

thanks for the heads up about injections. grace had hers yesterday and absolutely hated it! she screamed her lungs out, but not for long. i was able to put her in the crib at bed time as usual, but then she woke up crying at midnite, had a temp, and didn't want to leave my chest since then.

she's getting better as we speak and all smiling again. hope to get a decent sleep tonight nice weekend to you all!

Curly, I hope you can get some decent sleep tonight.

Are any of you guys using cloth nappies?
I've started to, and we had one accident with poop and now the edge of the nappy is stained.... never had that problem with Brendan as I didn't start using them until he was 9 months.

Are any of you using lotions and special skincare for bubs?
I never did with Brendan until he got excema and now he uses QV wash, am-o-lin shampoo and we also use special hypo-allergenic washing powder.
With Tristan I am in love with GAIA stuff, it's gorgeous and he smells devine afterwards!

    Hi all.

We are going really well. Noah has 8 teeth, weighs 11.2 kilos, won't sit still crawling everywhere and standing up all the time. He's also trying to stand on his own but so far can only manage about 1 second before falling on his bum . He is also going really well with sitting on the potty. We manage to get him on there and doing wees about 3 times a day and now he will actually do a wee as soon as we sit him down. So cute!

I can't shut him up either. His favorite is daddaddad too although if he's upset he'll cry for mummmmm! Anyways, I'm glad to here that everyones bubbas are going well.
