BS - We must have posted at the same time the other night so I missed your post until now. I'm sorry you've been feeling down Going away for a few days sounds like a great idea...it must be so hard being stuck in the house. I know what you mean about feeling like you don't exist. While we're pregnant, its all about us but once bubs comes we put them first. Not that I think it should be any other way, but its a big adjustment and its easy to lose ourselves. I'm glad you feel better after talking to DH...keep talking to him because he's the best person to 'find' you when you feel lost.
Isn't it cool when they find their hands? Amelia discovered hers last week. I had her on the change table a couple of days ago and she was watching one hand open and close. Then she held her other hand up and looked at it as if she was amazed that there were too. She's found her feet too. When she's in her swing, she'll watch her toes as she wriggles them. So cute!
Alison - Golden staph...that is scary. Thats so cute with the feet and hand prints on Amelia's birth certificate. I've been meaning to do the same thing. A friend gave me some scrap booking stuff so I can start an album for Amelia. Not sure when I'll get time though...maybe once she graduates from high school lol. How did your nephew go with Amelia? I think its sweet that he wanted to look after her...not many teenage boys I know would offer. At least you know you've got another babysitter if both grandmas are busy.
Tilda - I do still feel guilty giving Amelia to DH in the early morning as he works afternoon shift and often doesn't get to bed until 1-2am. But I guess him getting 4 or 5 hours of sleep is better than me getting none. 5-9 every night must be so rough. Have you tried putting her in her pram and wheeling her back and forth so your back can have a break from holding her? I find that wheeling Amelia back and forth in a doorway so there's a gentle bump moving from one floor surface to another really helps. I'm sure your Mum and Dad will cope fine....babies do cry. At least you'll have an extra set of hands. Well done on Matilda sleeping through. Even if you had to get up, wasn't it nice to have that time to yourself? I'm glad she's sleeping better for you. Amelia is constantly talking now too.
suz - lol at DH. I'm sure he feels terrible today. I'm glad Ryan had a big sleep for you. Seems all our bubs are having growth spurts.
beany - Glad Michael is back to his usual self. Shotsare hard because we have no way of preparing them for whats coming.
