Alison work is a lot different a year on hey! I'm still trying to get a feel for all the changes and there's more coming with me:o oh well we'll see how we go...And it seems Amelia is waaay ahead of Harry not only in the talking department but the walking too :p go girl!
Beany Oh yeah I used to get heaps done while DS2 was asleep it was awesome! DS1 was great at independent play too so I could whiz around and get loads of stuff done. Harry is not good at either sleeping or independent play, so my house is pretty gross the majority of the time and I really struggle with it :(
As for getting up in the morning, he's always been a late riser. It depends a bit on when he goes to bed, but generally between 8 -9.30am sometimes 10 if I get him up earlier he is really grumpy! It's a good thing I can start work late, but some mornings are a bit pushed for time, and mood.

Lani, I am so sorry about your DH! What the f????? That is just awful and what an awful way to start your new year :( He is ungrateful and irresponsible. After trying so long for a baby, instead of stepping up and being a good father, he goes and does something selfish like that. I am so angry for you! As if it is not hard enough to have a baby at home, to have your partner not present...I have lots of stiong workds I would not mind throwing around but I'll restrain myself!
Alison, yay for Amelia walking, love your new profile pic - she looks so pretty and like a little girl - her face has gotten finer and she is really starting to resemble a girl, not a baby! I am glad she is walking all over the place - you were always worried since she started everything else later, but goes to show you that each baby does things at their own pace! She figured out the transition from pulling up to standing to walking fast, didn't she, that clever little girl ;) And as for spacing more than two years or two years, I don't see the issue...I think that is pretty ideal actually. I prefer closer together as a preference but I started TTC with the thought that it might take longer and I would have been fine with up to 3 years diff, which Is till think is great for the siblings to relate to each other etc...I think even more space is no prob and in the long run, it only has to do with what you and DH want. And I think that different spaces are best for different people. You have to also do what you feel physically comfortable with and only you can decide and feel that.

I can't be on for too long right now and had no time to read back, so sorry for lack of response to everyone, but I just wanted to get a quick update online before I get back to work.
Vacation was nice but I got really sick and was on antibiotics for the second time in three months - this pregnancy is wearing me down a bit - With Eva I was never sick and never grumpy but with this one I am less tired but my immune system seems to be shot, or maybe it is just the fatigue since I already have one to run after or maybe the season has to do with how sick I am getting (My preg with Eva, started in the spring...)...
Eva took her first steps on the the 23rd and walked unassisted a few times but she seems to only do it when she is not concsious of it. It is wierd - while she is playing and preoccupied, she will stand and walk with a toy in her hand for example but if we hold her hand then let go she stops and drops to her butt...I think she is mentally blocking herself - she is pretty delicate and does not like getting hurt, so I feel like she stops herself. It is funny when I see her with my best friend's daughter who is a little daredevil, because she has no fear at all and started walking at 11 months....I think it is coming any day now. She already has taken her first official steps but I don't count that as walking wuite yet...I'll keep you guys posted on that. She is talking loads though, saying no, apple, mama and papa, making animal noises, doudou (which is her lovey in french), bain (bath in french), that, this, up, some names of family members, and she babbles a lot, it sounds like conversation but babbling. Like not dadadada, she actually babbles with diff sounds, vowels and inflections in her voice as though she is really talking to us...I think she is more interested in that for now :))) She is sort of mixing french and english so I am curisou to see how she talks once she starts really speaking well.
I coming up to 14 weeks now, so out of my first trimester, and telling people openly about it. That feels nice :) I went to find out the sex yesterday and he goes to me from this angle if I have to say then it is a girl for sure then he changed position and said, wait from here it would def be a boy...so I am still not sure of the sex but will know on Jan 27 on the next appt. Bub is getting so big, moving around in there, and well formed. My down's syndrome risk was at 1/10,000 so doc was very happy since 1/fourhundred and something is what is needed to be safe.
Tomorrow I go in for stitches, so not so happy about that but DH will be with me until they put me to sleep then go pick up Eva and bring her home where my friend will watch her then be back to pick me up so at least he is going tobe by my side - it is a standard procedure but still stresses me out....As long as bub is fine, I will do anything I need to do.
I am trying to get through some xmas photos and get them slowly online - I saw that some of you have already seen them, so that's the news for now :)

Rose - More *hug* for you too, so sorry to hear that your Dad lost his battle with cancer.
Willow - Glad you're surviving work, but it's not nice that you copped it from a *****y co-worker. No one needs that. I loved reading about how Harry communicates without words. Was just thinking today how Ryan makes himself understood perfectly well too, although he has a few words. He says Craig, Dad, Mum, Go, Hello, and 'eh' for Yes. But his favourite is 'uh oh' when he drops something over the side of the high chair.
Kanda - Woo! TTC #3 here too. Hoping for a girl, maybe we can trade notes ;)

Beany - Poor Michael, needles are not fun when they're starting to go down with something. Michael's hair should grow back quickly, Ryan's had a couple of awful haircuts that we've had to use the clippers on. Yay for Michael walking! No walking here, but maybe a few steps over the last couple of days with a lot of encouragement.
Ali - Ryan's been on 1 day sleep for ages now, can't remember when he switched over. I must've missed that convo with the November girls.
BS - Congrats on getting through your first trimester! That's a great result for your Down's risk and I hope that your appointment to get your stitch goes well tomorrow.

Beany, I forgot to mebntion that for day sleeps, Eva dropped hers a LOOOOONG time ago - she only has one 1.5-2 hour nap a day around 1130/12 then is up until about 730/8 - she has also recently dropped a meal, only eating VERY little two or three times a day and two bottles. She does not like her lunch until after her nap recently, not sure if that will stay that way. Don't worry for the nap, I would just stretch out his sleep until he is really tired and put him down once in the afternoon. They are growing up our babies :)
