Hi BS Well either you had a really sensitive test to get a :bfp: this early or that baby is going strong and sending out lots of HCG which is an awesome sign! So exciting!!

I really hope you get over your bug soon and don't miss your trip to Dublin.
As for Eva being over weight, I don't think she looks too over weight in her pics. I'm with you don't slot her into a category from a book, if she wants her milk at night let her have it! If you are worried at all about her weight you can keep her night milk and maybe cut out something through the day maybe if she has treats she could have one less or something. All babies are different they will stop waking at night when they are ready to go with out the milk or the touch. Some will do it much sooner than others (Harry, sooner would be nice lol) and if it's only once she's waking then that's pretty good I think.

Well I left Harry yesterday with the IL's a test run for when I go back to work week after next :( He went ok, he didn't eat much and didn't sleep until 20 to 4 (I dropped him off at 11am) when he was so tired he just crashed sitting up with grandpa having yoghurt. I think he was upset with me, when I went to pick him up I didn't even get a smile, he was still really tired. he cried when we left for a few seconds anyway, when we got home he wanted me to walk him around the house looking at all his favourite things, almost like making sure they were still there?? Then he was happy to see his toys and played with them for a few mins before asking for boob. Then he asked for boob every 20 minutes or so for the rest of the night and became super clingy to me. When I took him to the bedroom for his bedtime feed he would start to nod off then his eyes would fly open and he'd grab onto me , he didn't want me to put him down to sleep, I don't think he trusted me to be there when he woke up I feel terrible :( He even bit me! On the nipple, he hasn't done that before. Not long after we got home and he was onto his third boob when he finished he looked at me and then just leaned forward and while he was still looking at me he bit my nipple. I had never seen the look he was giving me before either. Maybe I'm being paranoid but he really didn't seem to be happy with me :( Now I feel even worse about going to work.

I agree BS dont let anyone lable your baby I still get Suzzie up at 10.30pm and give her a bottle or she wont sleep all night. She still has 4 bottles all up plus 2 meals and snacks. She has been labled as Underweight by the peads (and kinda by me) she loses it at the slightest sign of an infection Id rather have a chubba bubba than worry about my skinny minny

Way to go Brussels!!! :leap: :leap: :leap: :leap: That's amazing news! I can't believe we get to go through the whole pregnancy thing with you so soon. You and DH must be VERY compatible! It will be so nice to have a summer baby this time. You'll be able to get out so much more. Keep us posted on how it is all going. And if Eva is overweight, then Matilda is obese!! They are what they are. I really believe they eat what they need and no more. And one bottle over night isn't too bad. Like I was saying sometimes M has 2 feeds overnight.

Willow - It's so hard leaving them! And its even worse when they do pay back! But he might surprise you and get used to it quite quickly, especially if he's going to be with someone he already knows like your ILs. But I wish, for you, that you didn't have to go back to work since its not what you want to do. And boy it hurts when they bite. Matilda has nipped me a couple of times by accident lately and I couldn't help but yelp which scared the living daylights out of her.

Suz - I hope the weekend doesn't drag too much for you with this teeth thing hanging over you. I think they thought I might have had one of those years ago and it all came to nothing. I'm sure they're just being cautious and checking it out.

Lani - how is Jett? I've been surprised at how many colds are going around Sydney at the moment. I think its because the weather is all over the place. M and I have both had colds and most of the babies at mothers group yesterday seemed to have them. We should try and organise that Sydney catch up soon before Christmas craziness sets in.

Beany - I hear you on frustrating meal times!! Lately (especially because M has a cold) every mouthful seems to be a negotiation. She'll get obsessed with something on the counter top and won't open her mouth until I give it to her to look at. I probably shouldn't give in but you know what its like when you're desperate to get them to eat something. Michael sound like he's developing in leaps and bounds at the moment. And its interesting to see them develop separation anxiety for their dad's isn't it. M is the same. There's always a few tears when Dh leaves for work each morning. I hate seeing her upset but at the same time its lovely to see she cares about him so much.

Alison - Glad to hear Millie is starting to feel more like herself (saw your FB post about eating bugs LOL).

Rose - that's no good about your SIL, I hope they fall quickly again.

AFUS - Well we've been full of colds this week and I feel a bit bad because I haven't been as patient with it as usual. But it was bad timing - I was invited to apply for a job this week which was a fantastic opportunity and ended up turning it down. And even though I don't feel quite ready to go back, and I don't even know what I really want to do, I still felt a bit sad and down about it and I think its been made worse by having a sick, unhappy, sleepless baby. I wonder if I should have just gone for it and seen what happened. I guess you never do know. As I get older I'm becoming so much more conscious of making the right decisions and that you don't get infinite chances. Anyway...Matilda is growing and thriving and doing all sorts of new tricks at the moment. She now takes a few steps before falling on her bum or deciding to squat and crawl instead. Sometimes its like she just assumes she can walk and takes off and then boom she's on her bum. So I don't think its long now. She's giving a few words a good go at the moment - no, mum, dad, dog, out (she loves to point outside and say oowt when she want to go out and play). And so many kisses and cuddles that it melts you. Well its raining cats and dogs but I think we're going to try and get to the markets. Hope everyone is having a good weekend! Oh can I ask a quick one? When are we supposed to stop pureeing completely? I still mash things up a bit but she'll eat some finger food, especially broccoli. But I struggle to see how she'll move to just eating what we do and my aunt said they should be by the time they're one!

Hey Tilda! Your new profile pic on facebook is gorgeous! I don't really puree so much anymore...I give her lumpier food like bits of rice and chunky veggies and stuff like that - but only soft stuff....she likes to "chew" between her gums...If I do use puree that I leave in the freezer for emergencies, I usually put chunks of bread, or rice or pasta in it, like into soup...She also drinks soups in a little gourd I got her now. And I do puree her fruits, but sh eis not so big on fruits - I try to puree them chunky though, because she won't take in liquidy food anymore...

Willow, don't get too upset. It is hard at first and Harry is very clingy so maybe he just is more sensitive to being left with other people. It will get easier and it will be good for him to also get used to being with othert people, especially if you have trustworthy people to watch him. It will give him different experiences and different reactions, which will also teach him that not everyone reacts in the same way etc...It is hard, no matter how you do it, but it will be ok. If you must go back to work, you just have to do the best that you can to make the transition smooth. Sending over big hugs to you and Harry and I hope he does not get too shaken up by all this. Eva was super clingy when she started daycare too, they just need to keep you on hand when you're there.

AFM, I made it to the trip to dublin. I would have been super upset to miss that - IUt was a nice little weekend away but very tiring as we did a lot of sightseeing and walking outside, and I was up super early every morning. But totally worth it and DH took realllly good care of Eva. It was my fist time leaving her overnight, let alone for two and a half days! Show how bdaly I Wanted to go on this trip.

After the overweight comment, we tried giving her water (well DH did, becuase she tends to not take water with me) and she drank it up and went right to sleep - we just warmed it up to the temp of the milk and only gave her a half bottle of water.

DH did that while I was gone for three nights in a row and last night she slept through from 8 to 730AM! She only stirred once because I think she was cold so went right down when she was covered. Let's see how this goes! She just dropped the feed!

The first night that we decided to do the water I talked to her during her last bottle and told her that tonight she should sleep through because we need to rest (we were sick as well at that point) - and she seemed to decide to be more accomodating or something. So let's see if this continues.

Man, it feels good to sleep through! So maybe the feed really is a comfort thing if she dropped it so fast...I was not worried about her weight but decided to give it a go to see what happens, and am glad to see that night feed is not for hunger. I have no prob getting up for a cuddle and water until she feels ready to sleep through but I am glad to know she is getting enough to eat during the day...I was worried that she was not eating enough.

PS - anyone starting potty training yet? I have friends who started seating their baby on the potty at 6 months! just to get them used to it! I find that to be exagerated, but I considered getting eva a little potty to get her started with the sensation of sitting on it...anyone have any ideas on this? At our daycare they said I can start now, and it is a good age to start, right after meals to sit her down etc...even if she does not go inside, just to get her used to it then slowly to get her to understand the concept. What age is average to start potty training? I have no idea!

Hi Tilda Sorry to hear about all the colds we've been struck down too I seem to be last in line with it hitting me last night so I'm feeling very average at the moment, I'll be off to bed soon.
I never actually pureed anything, I did Baby led solids so from day one it was give him a chunk of something and away we went so I'm not sure when you don't need to puree. If she's handling the mashed up stuff then just keep giving her chunkier bits and see how she goes. :D
It's hard to know what you should have done with the job offer. You sound like me not knowing what you want to do. I still have no idea so I'm just going back to my old job for the need of the income, and not being confident I could get through a job interview, or learn a new job until I'm getting more sleep and my brain regains some of it's function back :p Sounds like you're having second thoughts about knocking it back, is there any chance you can get back in and take the offer up? I guess that's a long shot.

Hi BS Glad you made it to Dublin :D You must have made a speedy recovery which is great.
I haven't thought about toilet training yet. Although I think DS1&2 were both trained by about 18 months, I think it depends on the child though. Harry still HATES to get his nappy changed so really the sooner the better I think for him! :lol: But I really don't think he's ready.
Seems like the night feed fazed it's self out smoothly too, you'll appreciate the sleeping through now that you're baking number 2! :D

Suzi I hope everything went ok at the oral surgeon today.

Willow - Hope you're feeling better soon. Colds suck. Ouch, biting hurts! Ryan's bitten me hard a couple of times and I stop feeding him when he does. I think it's when he gets bored or I'm not paying him enough attention. Leaving him will get easier and he'll get used to it.

Aligater - Sounds like you're doing your best with Suzzie. BTW, love the name! I'm a Suzi, short for Susannah :) Some bubs seem to take ages to get the hang of solids and their weight drops off until they do, maybe Suzzie's one of them?

Lani - I really really really hope that you guys can fall pregnant again naturally without IVF and that it's the right timing so that it's a pleasant surprise for you. Hope your DH had a nice birthday. How is Jett now?

Hannah - Another one with a Scorpio DH, hope he had a nice birthday too :)

Brussels - Summer baby would be a nice change, I thought summer clothes would be easier. I'm sure that Eva is going to walk off the extra chubb. Glad to hear you had a nice time in Dublin, in spite of it being your first time away from Eva overnight. My first time away overnight from Craig was when I stayed overnight in hospital the day I had Ryan! No harm in sitting Eva on a potty now. I actually tried putting Ryan on a little pot while I breastfed him and caught a couple of breastfed poos, but it was a bit tricky to do so I decided to wait until later. I bought a book online called "Early-Start Potty Training" by Linda Sonna, it's pretty good. Think of it as 'potty learning' as you are just getting her used to the potty and potty time at this age.

Tilda - Good to 'hear' from you! Love that photo of you on fb. No purees here anymore, we went thick and lumpy quickly and Ryan pretty much eats what we do. Yogurt and custard are probably the only runny things now. Matilda sounds like she's going great guns, trying to walk! Hope you get a break from the colds.

AFM - It's been a sleepless week. I've been staying up late because my mouth hurts, then Ryan wakes me up only 2-3 hours later and won't settle in the cot. So I take him back to bed with me and I don't sleep well because he wants to play. There are teeth coming but it's also a Wonder Week I think (have to dig the book out). Then last night, Ryan sleeps through but Craig wakes up and hops in our bed. Maybe tonight I'll get some sleep.

The Oral Surgeon said he's pretty sure it's a cyst, but it's 'unusual' and he can't work out what type of cyst and what's causing it. It's been infected twice in the last month and is getting bigger, so he's booked me for surgery to have it removed tomorrow. It was too short notice for DH to take time off work to mind the boys and drive me to surgery, fortunately my Mum is able to be here (Yay for Mums!). Thanks for thinking of me girls, I'll be a lot happier tomorrow when the lump is gone and this is all over.

Oh Suz, hope you feel better after the surgery today :hug: Sounds like it couldn't be too soon for you! And I hope your mum can stick around and help you with the boys later today and this evening. It's awful trying to operate when you're in a lot of pain!

Willow - its so hard trying to decide on the work stuff isn't it? I think I'm feeling better about it though (helped by the fact I'm getting a little bit more sleep and M is getting over her cold!). I think I need to make an effort to give my week a bit more structure and make sure I've got something fun organised each day, like palygroup or meeting up with a friend, so its not too much like groundhog day and just get into being the mum of a toddler. We went to the zoo on the weekend so this morning I decided to play "At the Zoo" with Matilda and had great fun feeding all the animals in their enclosures. I just need to get a bit more creative now she's a bit older and into actually playing games. I hope once you're back at work you get a bit more of an idea about what you'd like to do next. And it's always easier applying for new jobs when you're in a job and feeling confident.

BS - Wow, sleeping through!!! Yay!!! :dance: I'm inspired and think I'm going to start trying to cut the night feeds as soon as Matilda is over this bronchitis. And good on you for getting to Dublin on your own. Ooohhhh I'm jealous. I keep threatening to take off to Bali and leave Matilda with DH (totally unrealistic since I still BF but I can dream...).

AFUS - well I'm going around the twist with meal times at the moment. I've decided I can't keep letting her bribe me into running around fetching things off the counter that she decided she wants to look at. Because often its just not something she can play with - a knife, my phone etc. It was getting absurd and driving me so mad I actually called Tresilian for advice!! So the line in the sand has been drawn and I'm just going to have to put up with a few tantrums for awhile I think. Oh god she's woken up after only 40 minutes. I can't work her out at the moment. She's all over the place. Yesterday she did two and a half hours in the middle of the day. So much for making those phone calls I really needed to make...

Hi Tilda I'm with Suzi I think it must be wonder week again. Harry is all over the place too and waking in the middle of the night thinking it's play time :wall: I was thinking last night at 3.30am I must get the WW book out to check what's up. Here's hoping they settle soon. I wouldn't worry too much about how much she's eating either if she fusses about wanting to play with stuff I'd say meal time over and get her out of the chair and take her to play with her toys. Babies/toddlers won't starve them selves they are pretty good at taking what they need, and she'll work it out pretty quickly that high chair or table whichever is food time not playtime. :goodluck:

Tilda - I used to give Craig a spoon of his own to hold, or a rusk or some vegemite toast. We also have a little steering wheel toy with a big suction cup on the bottom that attaches to the tray and keeps them interested in being in the high chair while I shovel the food in. Mostly Ryan's eating finger foods now and that's keeping him entertained. But it is hard work :)

Willow - Aw thanks. I must sound like such a whinger. Surprisingly I actually hurt more than I did prior to the surgery, but I know it will be better in a day or two. Just want to know what the heck it was and where it came from now. How's Harry? Is he still doing playtime at 3:30am? Both our boys slept through last night, but I didn't sleep well so I hope tonight is better in our house and yours.

Hi Suzi I don't think you're a whinger at all! It sounds bloody horrible! I saw on fb you had a good nights sleep and feel a little better so that's good.
Playtime wasn't at 3.30am, last night he was exhausted and went to bed at 7.15pm only to wake at about 8 and proceed to whinge and want to read books and play until around midnight then finally went to sleep. He slept until 1.45am wanted a feed then went straight back to sleep for another 2 hours another quick boob and was out again, only thing was then I couldn't sleep :wall: my throat was so sore, and chest and my sinuses were killing me to the point my whole jaw was aching, I was thinking of you at that point. (now who's the whinger :p)
Harry doesn't seem quite right though I hope he's not getting this cold, although I thought he'd already had it his brother stated it then he got it then DP now me so hope he doesn't get it again. But he's asking for a lot of extra feeds through the day which is unusual so we'll see what happens.

Well Harry's in next door with the IL's for another getting used to it day (well couple of hours) before the big "W" next week :( so not looking forward to it. It doesn't help I'm feeling so crap with this cold either here's hoping I can get rid of it before Monday.

Hi Girls, OMG I'm soooooo far behind!

BS - what the!!!!! You didn't mention it to me in your emails you cheeky girl! That is such fantastic news, my goodness congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!! That was so fast, wow! I'm getting cluckier, but will still wait until after Chrissy at least, I don't want to feel sick over Christmas. Glad the water went well with Eva, the girls are right, all bubs are different. Amelia stopped feeding over night a long time ago, in fact, like when she was 12 weeks old, but she was still having late bottles (9.30 pm) until she was 6 months old and then I gradually dropped that down. She's always fussed at night for the dummy until about 3/4 weeks ago, now she goes down at 7.00 am and I don't hear a peep from her until 6.00/6.30 am, somtimes 7.00 am - I've always followed a routine though from day 1 so that's why I've been lucky with her being a good sleeper I think. Who knows, I could try it with number 2 down the track and it wouldn't work, I think they all have their own sleep agenda to a degree whether they're demand fed or routine fed babies lol.

Hi everyone - thanks for all your lovely well wishes the other week. Amelia is fantastic now, funnily enough BS she has had 3 teeth appear just after her sickness so I definitely relate the two. That was the worst 3 days I've ever had with her I think, poor baby.

Hi Willow/Tilda - I hear you on the work front, I'm doing a day in the office, a day at home, the first week I cried all week but it's getting easier, I still don't really like it, I'm busy and everything but things have changed, I've changed, my interests have changed. I'm still leaning towards resigning end of year, but I'm going to wait and see what happens with DH, he's tendering for a building job soon so fingers crossed he gets it, otherwise I might keep going for a couple of months, not that it's necessarily a financial thing but every bit counts........part of me is scared to let a good easy part-time job go now I'm back, but every Monday I get the dreaded going to work the next day feeling so I don't really want to go. I just feel bad now resigning after only just settling in again. My lovely boss is leaving soon though so that will play a big part in my final decision. My heart's just not in it anymore and while the money is nice (they pay me well for 2 days of work), I miss spending my days with Amelia and resent the fact I have to cram all my personal/fun stuff into 3 days now lol.

Hi Aligator - welcome to our thread, I feel bad for not getting on as much as I used to. is everyone on FB? My November thread and I talk on that now, it's much easier ha ha ha.

Well it sounds like everyone's bubs are growing fantastically! Can you believe all our bubs are going to be toddlers soon, so sad! Amelia turns 1 in 2 weeks, where has that last 12 months gone my goodness! Busy preparing for her party, it's good fun. She is walking along furniture, says heaps of words, she names most of her toys, grover, Lau Lau (from Waybuloo), her security blanket teddy thing, mumma, dadda, nan nan, dog (we have 2 dogs), duck duck, ta ta (for goodbye) and ta for thanks.......with a chatterbox like me it was inevitable though lol. She's just started shaking her head no and her dancing cracks me up - she just loves music like her mum. She's a little cheeky chops and I love her to death, as we all do of our little ones!

Oh and I've bitten the bullet so to speak and joined Weight Watchers online, I am sick of making excuses for feeling fat, I still have a good 3 kgs to lose to get back to pre pregnancy, 4 kgs would be a bonus so to keep myself honest I've joined up. I'm a lifetime member, I lost 8 kgs in 4 months with them about 6 years ago now and knowing I'm tracking my food etc keeps me honest. I'm only on day 3 so will let you know how I go, I should've done this a long time ago. I really want to be in better condition than I am now before I consider having another baby, otherwise I'll just have twice the fact to lose ha ha. People say that I'm not overweight and I probably don't look it that much, but when I lose it you'll notice it believe me. Watch this space.

While I'm at it, I want to say thanks for everyone's friendships over the last 18 months, it was so wonderful sharing the pregnancy journey and birth with you all and now the last 12 months of our bubs lives. I hope we continue our friendship further!

Promise to get on more often now I'm getting notifications to remind me.

Alison - Bummer that you're not enjoying work, life's so full now isn't it! I'm teaching 4 classes a week and even that's enough to keep me very busy. Amelia sounds so lovely, and a very clever girl with her talking. Liam's really only managing da das and ma mas at the moment.
Good on you with the WW! I joined years ago and am now 21kgs lighter than my starting weight. The program's brilliant, and if you stick with it I guarantee it'll work. You'll be a skinny minny in no time. :)

AFUS - Liam is running me ragged! He climbs from our lounge onto the dining table, falls down stairs, slams fingers in doors and drops cat food tins on his toes. I swear I watch him but he's like Vampire Bill in True Blood...whoosssh...one side of the room to the other. And he's not even walking yet! Gah!

Great to hear from you Sesame, sounds like you have a cheeky little one. As I have always said mum's need eyes everywhere however the kids still manage to get into things they shouldn't and hurt themselves.

Jett loves attempting to climb our stairs and then topples and lands on the tiles not a soft landing for him :(

AFM Not enjoying working but am enjoying the money. We are able to splurge again and not have to watch closely what we are spending.
I need to loose some more weight too but it is really hard for me to find the time and energy to exercise. I am eating healthy but no exercise is not helping.

Hi Everyone - how exciting, I've got on twice in 2 days wahoooooo!

Woo Hoo Ali. I am here again too. We sure could be twins. hehehe I so hope we can meet one day.
I am on Reception today at work as the receptionist is sick so I am having a very quiet smooth day.

We are trying now for number 2 but got the dreaded AF yesterday so not this month. Considering Jett was 4 years in the making and finally an IVF baby I really hope it happens cause I don't want to go down that path again if I can help it. I have made an appt with the Gyno as I have had a few problems already since AF returned ( this is only my 5th AF) since Jett. Can you believe I can't get an appt til end of January it was a 12week wait.

What is everyone buying the little ones for their birthday's?

Lani - Isn't it frustrating when you can't get into these doctors when you need them! Definitely ask the doctor about it but I wouldn't worry about only getting AF 5 times. I don't think I've had it more than that.

Sesame!! Great to see you back on BB! Liam sounds like a handful. Lucky you're a strong yoga mummy!

Alison - thanks for that last post. It was so sweet Amelia's language development is amazing! Matilda has stopped saying the couple of words that she had under her belt. Funny how they do that. It sounds like you won't have to work for much longer if you don't want to. Three days off isn't enough for social girls like you and Amelia!!

AFUS - well we have cause for celebration. Matilda slept through for the first time last night! Which is lucky, because, well, I'm...pregnant! :o It has been a huge shock. My best friend thinks that's a bit daft given we were not not TTC but it took quite a few months last time and some careful timing. And I'm just so not prepared for it. Even though Matilda has been sleeping I haven't!! I've been tossing and turning wondering how I'm going to cope, how Matilda is going to cope, how it's all going to work!!! I'm probably more worried about pregnancy than after the baby is born (perhaps naively). I just hope my back holds out. Matilda has been sooooooooo clingy lately. She's always a high need girl but I seriously can't put her down for more than 2 minutes at the moment. I'm wondering if there's a change in my milk because of the pregnancy. But I'm going to have to try to get her entertaining herself more with a growing belly on the horizon. I just don't know how. She gets so bored so easily and its personal interaction that she enjoys, not playing with toys. I'm worried I was mad to let myself get pregnant. I know I should feel blessed and I do, but I'm TERRIFIED! I just hope I can give them both enough attention. Well anyway, I've got a to do list that is hanging over me (and seems to feel even more urgent now!). But I'll try and get on again later.

Wow all you girls.....you and BS can be Belly Buddies again, lucky ducks! You will be fine, but I understand what you meant, I feel that way hence why I'm not sure when to try again, I think I'll take some advice BS gave me today and just go with it, after all, it could take 6 months to get pregnant, if it happens earlier, it was meant to be. So many girls I know are pregnant with their 2nd, to be honest I don't think it makes much difference, at any age gap there'll be challenges, I think having them close together is wonderful for them don't you, imagine having a sister or brother close in age, gorgeous. How far along are you sweets? I'm so happy for you. And yay to Matilda for sleeping through! See, it was bound to happen, let's face it mate, your next bub could be a wonderful sleeper from day one, it can't be any worse so you can handle anything, the next one will be a breeze! I'll be the one who struggles if I get a bad sleeper next lol.

As we all will, yes it's going to be tough, but the tough times don't last long, and they're so worth it. Oh my goodness, I just can't beleive 2 of us are pregnant with our seconds already! Alison - great to see you on here again! We've missed you! I'm too scared to get on the scales, I was doing really well and got to within 2kg of my pre-preg weight, but lately I"ve been eating way too much peppermint chocolate and m&m's. Plus don't have any time for walks any more. Good luck for the Weighwatchers, I'm sure you'll lose it in no time :) Amelia is doing so well with her words! And I loved the video of her giggling with the wind in her hair, she's so gorgeous!

Sesame - great to see you back too! Wow, Liam sounds like a right go-getter! And don't worry with the words thing, Michael is the same. All he ever says is da-da, its been like that for months now. There's the occassional ma-ma and na-na. But thats it. Oh, and he's started going "zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzza !" Which is sooooo cute.

Hello to everyone else!

AFM - Been really busy lately with work and my Aunty is over from UK so been seeing her a lot, plus trying to get stuff ready for the party, plus start christmas shopping. Its just ridiculous, not enough hours in teh day! Thank goodness I don't work any more than 2 days!

Michael is doing lots of standing, pulling himself up on things and then letting go. He usually starts giggling once he knows he's not holding on to anything, which makes him lose his balance and he ends up on the floor. He's also started pointing, which I love. But its only with his left hand. I've also noticed usually when he's eating, or throwing a ball, he'll do it with his left hand. Do you think its too early for them to have a left/right preference? I wonder if he's going to be lefthanded?

Well I had a very successful trip out shopping this morning, found a beautiful dress for my works Christmas party, can you believe I tried it on 2 weeks ago and it was $150 but a little too big, got it today in a smaller size and it was reduced to $29.95 as it was the last one left. I think it was marked wrong to be honest but I am happy with my bargain. Also Jett was an angel while we were out even fell asleep in the pram which never happens, he must have know I needed him to behave. Also got some christmas shopping done, still more to do but a big dent in it today. Also found a pair of sunglasses for myself for Christmas but they are $600 so will need to think about them first.

Tilda - Big WOW for you hey! I can totally understand how petrified you must feel, but Alison's right, there's never a perfect time, and you're pregnant now, so just think, when the rest of us are still wading through nappies you'll be getting ready for school. :p

AFUS - Liam is asleep in the car in the garage ATM. I plug the baby monitor camera in and head into the house. It's so blissful to be in the house by myself! Off to do some laundry now, thrills a minute hey!

Tilda I've just read the rest of your post, I only got as far as "I'm pregnant" before.
It will be ok!!!! It really will, I know you must be freaking out. I was too when I was pg with DS2, DS1 was not quite 2 and not sleeping through and I was terrified, but it was all ok you just do what you have to do. DS1 miraculously started sleeping through about a month before DS2 was born, he would still get into bed with me but at least slept. It was a juggle at times with the 2 of them but you will be fine! Remember you have 8 - 9 months and Matilda will be a lot different then she still may be clingy, but she'll mature and grow a lot in that time, and when the new baby is old enough she will have someone to play with which will make things a lot easier for you.

Hi Beany - Michael is so adorable, I love him and his little cheeky giggles. Amelia is pointing too, must be a stage! Michael might be lefthanded, Amelia uses both, but mostly her right hand. My mum's left handed, she always said left handed people are smarter lol. Hows the cake making going, all go go go? Not long till our bubbas birthdays hey, I wish I could make it to Michaels, I think I'll be a little busy with Amelia's however hee hee hee.

I second what Willow said. Craig was 15 months old when I fell pregnant with Ryan. He grew up a lot before Ryan was born and there was plenty of time to move him out of the cot to a big bed. Kanda has a shorter gap between her girls, hopefully she can post some of her experiences for you :)

Carmey - Thanks for asking after me on fb. The whole cancer possibility had me a bit freaked so I was a bit OTT with my status update "It's not a tumour!" How is beautiful Jack?

AFM - Still finishing up our renovations. Haven't organised anything for Ryan's birthday, haven't even sent out invites! Eeek! But I did plan for a casual BBQ thing, so hopefully things will pull together at the last minute :crossfingers: My mouth is healing, thanks everyone who wished me well, but I seem to have a small infection where the cyst was. I'll have to ring the surgeon's rooms and ask them what to do. Ryan decided to cut 4 teeth while I was waiting to have the surgery as well as have a WW, so it's been fairly sleepless here. I've managed 2 nights with 8 hours now, for the first time in a month and it feels fantastic. Bit sad here, I've weaned Ryan from the boobies. He was down to only 1 feed at night before bedtime and it's been a struggle with lost of biting and fussing. We went next door to have dinner with our friends last night and I had a few drinks, so I didn't offer Ryan the boobies and gave him a cup of milk instead. He didn't ask for booby, so I figured it's time and tonight we did the same thing (minus the drinks). We lasted a couple of weeks longer than with Craig, so I feel like we did well enough, although I did hope to keep going until his 1st birthday but my poor nipples just can't take the chomping anymore.

Sorry, that ended up a bit 'War and Peace' there!

Suzi, Jett is going well with his allergies I am just avoiding Dairy, Eggs & Soy from his diet. Things are pretty boring for him, but at the moment he doesn't seem to mind. It was Taronga Zoo and we had a fantastic day more about that later. Also I have been meaning to ask you how did you change your name? From Suz1stbaby to Suzi? I want to change mine but not sure how too. Hope the renovations finish for you soon, is there much to go? I am sure all will be ok for Ryan's birthday don't stress about not getting invites out yet, it will all fall into place for you. Hope your infection clears quickly for you. You did awesome to last this long with the BF. I was sad when I had to stop too, I still miss it :(

AFM - We had a brilliant family day at Taronga Zoo today, Jett loved it. The little monkey only had one 20min Nap in the pram all day. There was too much going on he didn't want to sleep, but thankfully he stayed happy. We got to see the 3 week old baby elephant and she was sooooo cute.

Hi Lani, did the Drs give you any indication about whether Jett will grow out of his allergies? Dairy, eggs and soy cuts out a lot of things, are you able to substitute for any of them? I've used a think called 'Egg Replacer' for baking and I guess there's rice milk? Glad to hear he's doing well. To change your username, you go in to 'Settings' up the top of the page, then 'My Settings' on the side menus and 'Request Username'. That sends a request to the mods and they approve it pretty quickly. Look forward to seeing your new name :)

The Dr's hope he will outgrow them but its too early to say yet.

Dairy, Eggs Soy is very hard, at the moment it is meat, fruit, vegies, pasta, Rice. That's about it. I have had one attempt at making muffins and cupcakes using an egg replacer and rice milk, they turned out ok, I overcooked them a little but haven't tried again.

We are back to the Pediatrician tomorrow. My concern is calcium deficiency. While Jett is still taking the formula I think he is ok, but long term I am unsure. We went to a dietician who wasn't much help she said he is doing well, not underweight so nothing to worry about.

I am going to have a test run of Jett's birthday cake tomorrow night. I am planning to do a monkey cake (normal) holding a bunch of balloons which will be cupcakes suitable for Jett.

I have managed to upload a photo of the cake to my profile album if anyone wants to check it out.

Also we took Jett back to the Paediatrician yesterday and all seems ok. His head has dropped back to the 50 -75% percentile. His weight is 50% and Length is 25%. I have a little shorty. Considering he was off the chart when he was born I think he was measured incorrectly.
The only thing that has caused a little worry is in 3mths since our last appt Jett has only put on 1kg. We have to monitor his weight as this is a little concerning. The Dr has said it is ok as he is not underweight by anymeans.
We are getting Jett's allergies re-tested mid January.
My little munchkin is 10.4kg & 74cms.

How is everyone going?

Lani - Don't worry about Jett's weight, I'm sure he's perfectly normal. Remember the important thing is that he seems healthy and happy, you know yourself that he's fine I'm sure, and if you're worried you can always go back for a second opinion.
I'm sorry to hear about his allergies, it must make things tricky for you.
Taronga Zoo sounds great. I've been at DH to take me and Liam to Australia Zoo. One of these days.

Suz - Bye bye booby feeds. I can understand you must be sad, but it sounds like Ryan's ready to give the funbags away. Liam on the other hand SCREAMS when I try to offer him formula or cow's milk, and I'm really kinda getting over the BF'ing quite frankly. But on the other hand, I'm trying not to wish it away, it's such a short time isn't it.

AFUS - Crazy day at home today. The dishwasher's broken, and Liam's been following me around opening EVERY drawer and pulling everything out. I just know DH is going to get home and the place is going to like a bomb's gone off! Gah. I need a maid. ;)

I am so excited for you - I was just mentioning that Alison and I were chatting about all those things and you should not stress too much because by the time you are bigger Matilda will be walking and hopefully enjoying her independence enough to be less clingy - also it is nice to have the transition directly from baby to baby - for me at least I prefer just continuing this lifestyle rather than getting back to some kind of normalcy and then going back to bf, sleepless nights, teething etc...I am so happy for you and DH and Matilda who will be a big sister soon - doesn't the though of that just make you emotional? We're belly buddies again! Let us know when you know due dates and all that! I wrote like a page response to this but cannot do it again!

Alison, 3 kg is great! you'll lose that fast after baby #2 I will have close to 30 to lose to get to where I want to go! Yay for the chatterbox - she will be loads of fun later, telling you about her day and the boys she likes lollololol - so has our convo helped you adavnce your ttc plans?

Beany, Eva has been pointing for ages demanding stuff - she points goes "tha" and if i get it wrong nods no...lol...She tends to use her right hand...I would think that if he is using his left and still doing stuff with the right that he is pointing with the non dominant hand - you should see what hand he grabs things with. I think that would indicate more dominance in a hand but I think it might be early to know. lol - the pointing helps a lot because sometimes you just don't know what they want - Eva will point which room she wants to go in and what she wants to eat or when she wants water - communication is beginning :) He'll be walking in no time! Eva stands a bit but does not get excited just stressed then drops on her butt :) But she zooms all over the house if she has something to hold on to. At daycare they told me boys walk faster and girls talk faster - so I think it is totally nomal that the boys are saying less, but seem to be ready to walk. The latest pics of him are gorgeous - is he going blond? you look great too.

Lani, I hope the next round of ttc is easier for you - my sister knows a lady in her yoge studio (she does bikram which is like hot yoga) who had lots of problems falling and once she started yoga and a low carb diet she was preg within 6 months - my sister said it regulated her period as well. Maybe a workout program and low carb diet can help things along - I don't know - but worth researching i guess. The pics at the zoo are great - that boy has heartbreaker eyes!

Suz, glad you like the kindle and the teeth seem to be better - let me know how it goes and if you need advice for the kindle.

Hi willow! Carmey, great new pics on FB hottie, is Jack walking? Rose, feeling better? Hi to anyone else I missed.

AFM - sorry to be MIA, but been sort of nauseous with this pregnancy...I get hungry eat two bites and get grossed out. but not vomiting or anything just feeling blah and tired. DH has been great at taking over the night shifts and bath/bed etc...so I am in bed early every night.

Eva's first bday weekend was great - we had cupcakes with the family before their departure to brazil. It was nice - i got emotional and imagined having two next year! Amazing to even think about it. She got so much nice stuff from everyone - my house looks like a toy shop! One of her faves is a rolling mouse she sits on it and goes all over the house on her own - it is pretty cute. My friend also got me a push bicycle, so we will take her out on that this weekend to walk the dogs.

She got sick though for her bday and was vomiting and not eating much - I thought it was gastro but yesterday realized she has all four teeth coming in at once - she is super whiny and clingy so it is a bit tiring but she seems to be better today - still not eating much but not whining in pain all day, which makes things better. One is already poking through and the second is really prominent right now and I see the two outside teeth descending as well - poor baby - she must be in so much pain but at least we get four out of the way at once...

My due date has been confirmed for july 8th and the heartbeat is strong and everything looks great. Next appt I have to schedule a cerclage, to stitch up the cervix :( not looking forward to that but hopefully I can avoid rest orders with that.

DH and I are seriously considering a move back to new york once we sell our company here, and have the second baby :) very exciting stuff!

BS - Sorry to hear you've been feeling unwell, hopefully in a few weeks time you'll be feeling much better. Amazing that you'll be a mummy of two so soon! Life's changed a lot over the last couple of years hasn't it! DH and I have been talking about number 2, but here's the thing. My 30th birthday is in 18 months, and I really want to have a big party. I mean it's kind of saying goodbye to your crazy youthful days and hello to sophistication and knowing oneself, right? ;) Anyway I don't want to be pregnant or BFing basically, is that really selfish of me?
Anyways, it'll be so fun for you to have a summer baby, it's definitely nicer getting up for night feeds. :)

AFUS - We're off to Wonky Walkers today, it's kind of like kindergym with tumbling mats and coloured parachutes etc.
