Hello everyone!! I've been gone from BB for a WEEK!!! Feels like forever. Been away and then came back but had house guests.
I am hearing everyone on the sleep issue atm. Had some shocker nights lately with J. Feeding 3 hourly at times, not going down at 6:30-7pm like usual, shorter day sleeps, waking up heaps etc etc. I think it's a wonder week - week 36 or 37 is the World of categories. I also think his teeth have been giving him grief.
 to all the sick babies and mums in here!
AJP - We are starting to get the crocodile roll during nappy changes but he hates being on his belly so doesn't go all the way over. He has worked out how to take off his nappy and wee on everything around him (except the nappy of course!!) and every change/after baths etc he kicks me in either the belly or the boobs or both!! So over it! We just lowered the cot too cause he finally started moving around in there!
Putting aside the crap sleep everyone is going through at the moment, is anyone else's bub still feeding 3-4 hourly overnight? How many in here are normally 'sleeping thru' yet?
-
Kaz- Lewis can feed 3-4 hourly most nights although we do occaiosnally get a 4hour block then a 5 hour block so I love those nights....
-
Kaz, no such thing as sleeping through here. Although I partially blame myself coz I've had no tolerance persisting with the cot and I've been feeding him to sleep. I will be trying to break the habit soon though! L is on bbs all night!
-
We have been sleeping through here, but the last two weeks - NOPE. I can see her top teeth bulging. One has sort of cut through. last night, I got sick of getting up and resettling, so put herin with us. She would only sleep if she could touch me. No feeds though.
Went to Costco today. Got a heap of stuff. was pretty good actually.
Taking J in to the city tomorrow, to reward him for his wonderful behaviour over the last week,. Just wish they would be good at the same time.
I am sooooo tired. Sounds like we all are. DH is back at work next week. e has had the last month off. Not looking forward to that.
OK I am watching tv while typing so excuse all the spelling mistakes.
Night all

HEy girls
Kaz- welcome back hun! :D
Holly- My internet gets so slow the second half of the month as I have normally gone over my download limit.
We have been sleeping through since 6 months about 11.5 to 12hrs a night :hide: Dont hate me.... :hide: I hear her wake sometimes but she puts herself back to sleep. We also have a heartbeat machine that makes the noise all night that she likes so maybe that helps also? Its quite soothing actually.
I think I have worked out why we are not having the sleep issues YET though. DD doesnt have any teeth and has no sign of any coming through in the near future. I have noticed that everyone elses in our group has teething bubs or bubs with teeth and are also experiencing sleeping issues. Could that be the link???
With feeding, everyday is different. When I am at work, she has less milk then when I am around. She probably averages about 5 b/f a day when I am around and if I am at work, 3 b/f and 1 220mL bottle. She also has 3 meals a day. Brekky- porridge with fruit, lunch- toast or veges (so not creative) and dinner- a mango or pear or banana & a yoghurt.
Big  to everyone. I'll get DD to have a chat with all of your bubs and send some sleepy vibes.
Please dont hate me, I wasnt going to post but thought I might have found the link. I am sure when DD gets teeth everything will change. :o
-
Ali- Of course we don't hate you!! Don't be silly...my DD was the same sleeping through at this age too!! Any to be honest never changed with teeth either she was late getting teeth. But now I have one that doesn't sleep so I've got to experience both worlds!
Although I was out all afternoon and got home and decided that my children are just so precious and I am blessed to have them!! L was a dream and compared to the other children we were with Abbey was perfect!! I'll have to remind myself of this when I'm pulling my hair out with Miss A attitude other days!!;)
-
ali sophie was sleeping 8 hours at night at 3 weeks and by 8-9 weeks was doing 12 hours! i was very spoilt!! we sleep through sometimes, but not often!
meg how was bright???
kaz good to see you hun!
holly back to work :o and uni :o , lol at leon being moody!
pinny your kids are always great!!
we had a bad night last night, im thinking teeth she was up numerous times so tired today hoping tonight is better!
-
I can't complain too much with sleep, generally she wakes about 4am for a feed, just when she is unwell everything goes to crap and she wakes often and cries in her sleep, usually lasts for 10 days to 2 weeks.
Ali- thats great we don't hate you! I actually don't feel too bad with Emily waking once cause Ash at this age was alot worse so Emily waking once seems easy in comparison. No teeth here either! Wonder if they'll ever arrive.
Olive- hope tonight is better for you!
Pinny- its great moments like that, you keep that thought in there when they start being cheeky!
Meg- great to hear J has been good, have fun in the city, you planning on seeing the windows? I'm looking forward to when Df is on holidays, its nice to have them around to help.
Kaz- does he take a dummy? Can't remember if he was or not, could you try that instead feeding? Or will only booby settle him?
Holly- good luck with uni results! For xmas we've bought off e-bay cubby as combined gift for the girls and then I just bought a couple little things for them to open under the tree.
K-mart open every night til 10 which is great cause put kids in bed and went, so no crowds, no kids, easy hassle free shopping! Seeing as its just kids only quite easy just wandered round the toy isles. Df been slack with working out his neice and nephew so he'll have to do that alone now (generally our rule is each one is in charge gifts for our own side family) just need something extra for Ash and I'm all done.

Hi ladies,
So sorry for my extended absence. So tired, running around all day after Isabel, not sleeping much... not good!
I've read this thread from the start (most of it) and I am so glad I'm not alone with the sleep issues.
Generally, most nights once Isabel is asleep she will sleep until some time around 6am... but the time she goes to sleep varies from 7pm to 9pm. We try every night to put her down at 7pm and some nights it works, more recently every night has been screaming and crying for an hour or two. Sigh!
Then guess what I noticed on Monday - first tooth! So yes Ali I think you're right about teeth being the link!
She was shocking last night - really grumpy from about 4pm to 6.30pm when I fed her to sleep, then she woke up at about 9pm (I wasn't home - was at Book Club) and when I arrived home 2hrs later she was still awake and crying. DH basically threw her at me and said "I'm tired and need to go to sleep"
So then I sat up with her until she went back to sleep at 1am. Then she was awake at 6am.
A bit exhausted today. She's down with my MIL at the moment so I'm going to go have a nap when I'm finished this!
Off to the Obs on Monday, it has come up so quickly! Hoping the rest of the pg passes this quickly...
Hi to all, have read most of the posts but haven't got the energy for personals sorry. Going to crash now!
-
BBL but millie is crawling :o
-
Yay for Millie!!!!

Just got back from the city. Had a good time although. J wouldn't sit on santa's knee, but he LOVED the train in MYER. He went on it 4 times! Got a lovely train photo, and that will have to do as the santa photo for this year.
E was pretty good too although would not feed at all while out. Too much to look at. Ate her lunch, so she did have something in her tummy.
She was up for about an hour last night, just chatting and a bit of crying in her room. I ignored her the best I could, but she still kept me up, as I could hear her!!!
Anyway my SIL had a baby boy today, so I will go visit her tomorrow evening.

Hi everyone
Congrats Aunty Lilima! New bubby cuddles...yummy! Enjoy!
So glad to hear I'm not the only one with crazy sleep stuff going on...A has always gone down around 7pm and woken about 6am...we have been so spoilt...but now....can't get her to bed till about 8.30pm and last night resorted to rocking her to sleep...she had crossed over to that crazy place and there was no coming back lol!!! And she's suddenly waking at 5am and sitting up in her cot and crawling around...all this has changed since she started crawling....and she has all 4 top teeth on the move at once...two have cut and the others not far off...day sleeps I've resorted to the pram and she's maybe having 2 of 45 mins...so no nanna nap for me....I am so TIRED :( So today I'm going to give her more to eat and see if that helps...we kind of dropped morning tea but think she might need it now she's moving....anyway....sorry for dribbling on....thinking out loud...some good news...can feel bubba 2 moving...relief :)

shell were lucky out local kmart is open 24hrs all the time!!
OP you 12 weeks already :o wow thats flown!!
Ellie we have similar issues with moving in the cot! sitting up, its gets worse when they can walk  M still goes down at the same time though.
AFU holy moly i just resettled M with a cuddle on the couch instead of boob! tis easier to give boob but ithought id try and what do you know shes gone back down  will see how long that lasts though
-
Nai- :happybirthday: hope your day was fantastic! DD1 is so gorgeous in her ballet photos! You have made me want to make sure DD gives ballet a go!! :)
Olive- Ashlyn has really taken off today as well with the crawling/commando/drag/downward dog yoga pose movements! It is def an eye opener to what I need to do to babyproof!! That is so lovely that you setteld M ith a cuddle.
Shell- How lovely to go shopping without the kids. Have you finished xmas shopping for the girls?
Lilima- Congrats on being an aunty  Think it will be a long time before I am. No one else seems close!
Ellie- How exciting you are getting movement from the little one inside you!!!! I miss that!
OP- I am not looking forward to the teething. :hide: quite scared of it really. Do you have an amber necklace? I am thinking about getting one if they really do work. I googled them though and they are quite expensive!
Pinny- You've given me hope that her sleep wont change! Thanks hun! I'll let you know.
Kaz- How are you hun? Hope J is going well. How are things with your sister and mum? Hope they still arent using you as the go between.
:hello: to everyone else.
AFM- Still going well here. miss A has a new favourite food....hokkien noodles!! She goes nuts over them!!!! I mixed them with some pumpkin soup and she was sucking them up!! I need to get it on video. I have been very naughty and have got her up a few times at night when I miss her and want a cuddle. I just love the way she cuddles in when she sleepy and I'll never get this time back so figured I'll enjoy the cuddles while I can get them! :) Hope everyones having a good weekend!
-
Ali- Ooh thats sweet! I only really get cuddles when she is sooky lala. I try cuddle her at night after a bottle and she cuddles for few seconds then is looking around, playing with my hair, trying to reach things so have to put her down before she decides its playtime!
Nearly done xmas shopping, just need to get Ash something small for under the tree. They're getting a cubby but thought still need little something to unwrap.
Olive- did she stay asleep? I love 24hr k-mart, I remember years ago when I first starting working and at like 2am friends and I decided to go to 24hr k-mart and have shopping spree, lol, was actually surprised that there were quite few ppl there.
Ellie- hopefully once she settles with just learning to crawl that her sleep will improve. Always something interferring with our sleep!
Meg- I should take ther girls in, was it really busy when you went in? I hate crowds.
OP- How is the sleep going? Is she bit more settled now the tooth has come thru?
I forgot to tell you my drama other day. Well it was huge drama to me, we lost Emily's blankie while down the street, she threw it out without us noticing. And cause we had walked a fair bit before we noticed I nearly cried. There is no way she can sleep without it. So went into every shop asking and finally found a baby shop someone had handed it into thank god. Now mum is back onto her mission of knitting spare ones!
Hey Melb girls do you all remember years ago the myer rooftop and it had rides and stuff? Open over xmas and summer. I have vague memories of going as a kid.
-
Shell- I remember the Myer rooftop having rides and Christmas theme!! Wow you've just given me a reminder of some lovely memories of my Nan, she used to take us every year. We went to the city on Friday to the Myer windows and it was not crowded at all! My DD just loved it she was ata really good age.
Ali- I can understand why you want snuggles, I took a photo of DS asleep in the car seat last nights, coz all I could think is he will be all grown up before I know it!!
Nai- HAppy Birthday for yesterday! Your DD look so beautiful at her Ballet concert!!
Olive- Might try the cuddles to resettle, I'm always offering boob, just automatic...
Ellie- I hope the tiredness eases soon.
lilima- How's your nephew?? HAve you met him yet?
op- Wow this pregnancy seems to be going fast! Is it for you?
