DH had a 4 day weekend so haven't been on. Been busy! Went to a first b'day party (Shanti's DD), and yesterday went out to meet some of the Brissy BB mums. Fun!! We don't see other bubs much. DD was shy at the b'day party but yesterday wasn't as shy. She's very interested in other babies. Walking all the time now! My little baby is all grown up
Sleep still not real good but I won't even bother talking about it anymore, it's always bad! lol. Is everyone's bubs still having 2 sleeps a day? Or just 1??
Olive, I don't know what to get either!! All I know is we're going to get her one of the little kids sofa's coz she doesn't have one yet. Don't even know what we're doing for her b'day!!
heaven re sleep/feeding issues ive just decided to go with the flow though i know comments have started and will continue re these issues..sigh...!
we have one of those sofas, first DD1 wee'd on it when TT then DD2 spilt my beer on it last week! might be time for a new one!
Yeah, same here! I find I stress more when trying to change things. If I just go with it and not worry we're all a lot happier. I cracked it a couple of days ago and was saying to DH 'this is ridiculous still having to rock/feed her to sleep and her not sleeping for long stretches at night at 1 yr!!'. But I'm over it now and back to going with the flow, gets like that sometimes though.
That's so good to hear! Coz I know it was tough there for you for a while. Hopefully they'll just magically start sleeping well sometime in the near future!
Thanks for all you kind words. You are all so supportive. TBH this week has been hard. DD's second day at CC wasnt great. Screamed when I dropped her off and I jsut had to leave and is not really sleeping there. Dont get me wrong they are fantastic with her and the most wonderful carers but I think it will take her a little while to adjust. i just feel bad for her thats all as she doesnt really know them yet.
DP has been sick all week as well and I am just so exhausted but doing everything. The life of a mum never ends.
Jols- My mum and dad have got DD a Bobbleart lamp that I have wanted for her which is a good idea as a present (look up bobbleart-it is gorgeous). Was also thinking of a clam shell thing (to put balls in or sand or water) IYKWIM. And our main present is we are going to get a photo dvd made up from her first year set to music. Kind of like a montage.
Heaven- some days are just one sleep so we might be transitioning. i kind of go with the flow as well. Most nights are good but DD wakes up so early and I go to bed late so thats no good. I think I will have to change my sleep to fit in with hers. the photos of the party of the girls are gorgeous!!
Will BBL i am so tired that i am not seeing the screen clearly and have to keep blinking. Might be time to dig out some old reading glasses!
