lol OP! Congrats on your blue bundle!! The willy is a bit like a fire hose when they're newborn and they seem to wee on cue once the nappy comes off. At least that's what DS did and the middies in hossy told us to expect it so I figure they see it a fair bit. We found that having lots of cheap face washers on hand to put over the "hose" while wiping and getting the next nappy under worked really well. You'll still get wee'd on a fair bit though It does get better with time too. Are you using cloth? If you've got pre-folds we found we had to experiment with the fold cause he kept weeing out the sides too. It's very exciting and you'll get to go shopping all over again for boy clothes! Can completely understand how you feel about work. I kind of feel the same and I'm not even back yet!

Heaven - DS still has two day sleeps but it does vary fairly regularly - if we're out anywhere he won't sleep at all so the other day he was awake from 8:30am to 4pm How he stayed happy I don't know! Other days he mucks around with the afternoon sleep so can still do 40 min catnaps (usually 2) instead of a decent sleep.

Ali - Oh hun that must have been so hard to leave DD when she was upset. I am dreading putting DS into care for that reason - the adjustment stage is hard. He already doesn't sleep well when I'm out and he's with DP. Try to relax as much as you can because she'll pick up on your anxiety. Easier said than done I know.

to all those with sleep issues. I feel your pain. DS is typically waking frequently through the evenings, needing lots of resettling then from about 11pm he wakes every 2 hours or so until about 5am and then he'll sleep until 8am. Every now and then we get a good night with only one or two wake ups and I think they are helping with the tiredness.

We had our dog put down yesterday. It's very sad. We buried her during a thunderstorm on our block yesterday. So fitting - she hated the thunder when she could still hear it! She was about 14 years old and was like part of the family. It's so strange in the house with her gone.

Well we're off on a holiday tomorrow so I won't be in for a week or so. Have a good one girls - hope they all start sleeping and stop teething soon!! xoxox

Kaz - have a great holiday! Sorry to hear about your dog

OP - woohoo! Yay on your little blue bundle! I have no ideas on what to do with boys but I do know all about the tiredness and how hard it is being pregnant with another child to look after.

Ellie - That's goo dthat you had some rest! Maybe DP should come home early more often

Heaven - Wow on the walking everywhere! I'm not ready for that yet! Miss J is having 1 day sleep now, generally a good 2 hour block usually starting around 11-ish although today she had to wait until 12.15 as she had swimming at 11.30.

Olive - we are getting Miss J a wooden puzzle with her name (same as we got G when she was 1) and a book. We figure she is going to get so much stuff from everyonw else!

Ali They have their good days and bad days. DD1 even has days where she doesn't want to go Miss J had a tanty on Monday when I dropped her off but she got over it pretty quickly. I'm sure A will settle in quickly.

Malyna - woohoo getting rain! I wish we would get some more!

AFU - I survived my first week back at work, however every night this week one of the girls has woken me up for some reason so I am shattered. I don't get any chance to rest with this work schedule either so I hope I get some sleep this week. Miss J slept like a champ last night but G woke up with a "sore bottom" at 1am. I think she had worms so I gave her some combantrim and she slept in bed with us from then - with her boney little elbows in my back!

Kaz- I am so sorry that your dog has passed away. What a great age to live to though. What sort of dog was she? I hope she is having lots of bones and running around gorgeous parks in doggy heaven. They are such beautiful animals and really do become part of you. Lots of for you and DP. I hope that you have a nice time away.
Nai- on feeling shattered after a week at work. It is such a big adjustment. Thanks for your advice on CC as well. DD will go two days again this week. Tuesday all day and because this week I am only doing 2 days a week I will still send her Wednesday but only for some of the day to hopefully help her adjust. I figure I am paying for it anyway so she may as well go.
OP- So exciting that you know what you are having. Congrats again.
Ellie- good work on having the extra sleep. You need it hun for growing that bundle of yours.
Malyna- the rain is incredible isnt it! We had the biggest thunder stom yesterday afternoon. I pulled the tv and computers out of the wall as I was worried. Congrats on the RAK that you have as well. Such a well deserving person. Cant wait to see an avvy for you!

    to everyone else.

AFM- DD took 2 steps today by herself!!!! Think it was a fluke though as she wouldnt do it again. She is a bit of a machine with her walker now.

I know all babies develop at different rates but what words do you think your baby understands now? I am worried I dont talk enough to DD. I know weird but sometimes I have to remind myself that I need to speak to her about what we are doing more. She doesnt really have any words. Doesnt even say da da anymore. Just wondering what others are saying. I am also guilty of not reading to her very often. Today we sat down and read a book and she loved it and I felt a bit bad that I dont do it more.

I bought DD a plastic ball today from coles with thenobby bits all over it. It lasted 5minutes before Winston my dog destroyed it. Lucky it was only $3.00

Ali- Dont stress too much, Em doesn't say much, mumma and pretty much just shout alot and babbles a bit. Ash wasn't a big talker at first and I was always bit worried now at 3.5 I can't shut her up. Just keep up stories and yeah you can just chat about what you are doing and if she is playing with something can chat bout that too.
As for CC she will settle in, may just take little while to get used to the notion that yes mummy does go away but she always comes back again. Not so easy for you tho cause you walk away seeing her upset but you miss seeing that usually 10mins later they are fine.

Kaz- so sorry to hear about your dog, they are like family. Does Jacob notice she is gone? Keep all your happy memories of her with you. I hope your holiday cheers you up. Where are you off to?

Nai- work is so much harder when you dont get much sleep, you're doing 3 days week? Miss J baby ballet was very cute, Emilys on dancing skills are bopping up and down.

Ellie- I hope you are getting chances to rest so much harder being preg 2nd time round. Has all the m/s settled completely?

Op- Had to laugh at your love for iPhone FB cause me too, I am on there constantly, it always gives me a loophole in the no FB at work policy, lol.
Congrats again on boy news, I love Kaz's explanation of the hose, I have no idea on girl town here at my place.

Malyna- how are you doing? I saw on FB A is sleeping in his own cot so thats a fantastic improvement. How are you doing tho in regards to yourself?

Heaven- we are still on 2 sleeps. Ash was only on 1 at this age, my girls are so different sleep wise. And I agree go with the flow while you are happy to, I mean sometimes you might crack and say I've had enuff but if that happens you can work on it then, don't stress bout it while you are ok doing what you're doing.

Olive- do you think she is sleeping worse cause the ear problem and teething? Its annoying how once you get sleep sorted one thing can mess it up and it wont go back. As for birthday presents I have no idea, she has a million toys thanks to Ash and a million clothes thanks to more Ash's hand me downs. So I need to think of something just for her.

Pinny- I've been having rememberances to of this time last year, weird to think a year has passed. How is his head now? They're at that age now aren't they, plenty more knocks and bruises to come.

Holly- Glad to hear your birthday went well. You are a youngie! My 21st feels years ago well 10 to be exact! And definately not worth going to work for such little money in front in the end, may as well put your efforts all into L and study. Oh and hope you've dragged yourself off SIMS. lol.

I have finally found Ash a place at CC I just want one day week for her social skills, she never been with strangers so be good for her, next week is orientation all week, she goes tues-fri for an hour then the following week will do her full day.
Emily been going well sleep wise, is in another clingy stage but just seems to be in the evenings, never get to eat dinner without her in my arms!
Oh and if Df ever asks me what I do all day while he is at work I will say whatever I do he obviously has no idea. I worked this am and boy the house looked like a bomb had hit it, he went out tonight and I spent an hour tidying. No wonder he reakoned his day was easy!

how is A going inthe cot??

OP yay congrats on a baby boy!! any names yet?? dont ask me about willies either
have you told work aboout bubs??? what did they say?

kaz so sorry about your dog its hard when you have to make the decision to let them go. where are you going on holidays (more like where did you go?? )

nai i hate when the girls tag team whos going to wake when, i swear some nights they work out a schedule as to who wakes at what time!!
were still on two sleeps, definataly not ready yet to drop down, some days shes back in bed at 9.30am

ali DD sounds just fine!! like you said their all different. DD has a few words but then again she has a big sister to learn from too!
yay on the two steps..... waaaaaahhhhhhhhhh were are our babies going

shell yay on the CC! im sure she will love it. i like how they gradually ease her into it too!

AFU another busy week/end, M has cut two teeth, an upper front and the opposing bottom tooth (yes she looks funny) and is cutting another 4 the other top 3 and 1 bottom, so craaaaaaaaaaaanky pants here! she is very clingy, she screamed and looked for me for 2 hours that i was out for yesterday with DD1, banging on doors and looking out the window for me. nights are still crap, back to the dr's today for a review of the ears, so fingers crossed its healed up as i hate giving her panadol and dimetapp everynight. next step is to take her to a nautopath and get her tested for some food allergies just to rule that out as possible sleep issues.
DD1 started kinder last week and loved it, will be nice to have some DD2 and me time!
our evap cooling has pretty much died, having it replaced on friday, there goes 3k sigh.. but it has to be done, i hate summer and cant do heat!
forgot to say too, i love watching M doing the crab crawl! you know onb hands and feet, she motors along, often going sideways which is very funny to watch, shes also started pointing, something DD1 was slow to do.
anyone else chucking huge tanties???? M is throwing some huges ones, going to be like me by the looks of it!!

Olive, yes tanties here, boy does she crack it if she doesn't get what she wants!
Yeah check out the naturopath, mum in my mums group did, was hard at first cause they changed his diet round but it made huge difference, was much happier, less crying, getting sick less, he used to always be getting colds and runny noses but settled.
