What's wrong with this - taking him out of the cot and cuddling??? I don't feel that's a bad thing for you to be doing hun. You're his mum! Did someone at the sleep clinic or something tell you that you shouldn't be doing this?
If DD is crying in her cot I can't relly leave her there to scream either. The difference with her is knowing what is just a whinge/grizzle versus actual crying. The other day she woke up (teething I think) crying, real anxious crying and I literally ran straight in to get her, she was so distressed. Normally I let her wake up a bit but not that day. If they need to be comforted, I say comfort. If that works for you, I say do it.
And good on you with the RAK - you deserve itNo I'm not saying it was or wasn't me (because people got in trouble for intimating it might have been them) but I'm saying you deserve it
Hi to everyone else!
Thanks for all the willy advice - think I am in for a bit of a shock with the "shower" affect!!!!!It did make me laugh though, a lot! I'm at work right now so it was kind of muffled strangled laughter
Olive - tantie - yes! My parents house has stairs and she would spend all day going up them and then cracking tanties because she doesn't like going down them (we make her go backwards and she hates it) - so we try and stop her from going up, restrain her to the downstairs area and she cracks it! Its quite funny really!
Also hearing you on the air cond - I can't handle the heat either and what a time for yours to pack up!! GL on getting it fixed soon... And ALSO hearing you on the clingy baby - we are calling Isabel "velcro baby" at the moment because she is so miserable! More about that later...
Shell - yay on the CC for Ash! That should be great for her. Hope she goes well at orientation! It'll be nice for you and Em to have some time too
Ali - ooo 2 steps! The end is nigh! As for talking, DD says a few words, she's pretty chatty - but then I never shut up so its no wonderShe says "a-woof!" now whenever she sees a dog, "ta!" for cat, she's pretty good on the mumumum and dadadada but she's also now starting to say "da-da" for "Grandpa" - like she mimics the sound and the syllables but can't say that actual GR or PA part. But she isn't really anywhere near walking yet so go figure! As you say, all are different.
Nai - well done on your first week of work!!! Glad the girls seem to be behaving with sleep for you - though not good on G's sore bum! Poor love! Hope that clears up for her soon. Get some rest!
Kaz - hope you are having a good holiday! So sorry about your much-loved member of the familyHope you guys are not too sad - I think we all know how devastating it can be.
Ellie - nice work on the rest. Hope you can keep it up! You're almost up to third tri now - can't believe how fast it is going!
Hi to everyone else! Better get off, I'm being naughty at work!
