It was ouchy 8 weeks after birth when your cervix is still soft, can't imagine how ouchy it would of been for you today!!! The only side effects I had was felt like I was getting my period for the next 24 hrs then slight spotting for about 14 days then nothing....not even a period still to this day!!! I hope you have the same experience that I did!!!
pinny how much did you bleed from the procedure???
i too feel like AF is here, he said id get more bleeding than say you as DD is older, i guess the sooner post birth you get it in the less spotting

Olive- my friend swears by hers, says she hasn't had AF for 2 years so loves it! Glad the osteo could help and give you answers, I've heard they can be really good.
Pinny- did he see anything in DS ears or just thought give some ABs in case? Hope he is ok. I was wanting to make clothes, starting with kids stuff and was hoping to eventually make stuff for myself that is wearable. Guess I'll have to self teach.
Nai- yeah now she is walking they progress so quick.
Ali- glad to hear poor Ashlyn is on the mend. Poor poppit.
OP- Don't feel bad bout bit of crying, Emily does that sometimes and I have to let her go. 5 mins of crying on her own is better than if we went in and then she really wouldn't sleep and end up in worse state. She sounds like how Ash used to be when nothing settles them, so hard. :hug: Hope things settle before #2 comes along, how long now til you restart mat leave?
Kaz- how is being back at work going? Did you survive?
Meg- sorry to hear you are feeling that way. Maybe think about things that you can do in the present for yourself? Life now seems to revolve around kids and work, maybe you need to do something for just you, are you interested in doing part time course? A hobby? Something to keep you occupied til you can do the travel things? Maybe volunteer work here?
Well I've been busy, the girls have been unwell, Emily has had temps on and off and just been NQR, today is first day in week she seems alot better but has got this rash all over her back and tummy, I'm pretty sure its all viral.
Ash also NQR and juicy sounding cough so she too been very sensitive and upset easily.
On the upside Df and I went away for last 2 nights just 2 of us, (mum and aunty got lucky to look after sick kids) was lovely time and think very important for us to have just us time. Time to actually sit down and chat, spend time with each other. Help our relationship.

AFU: thanks for all the kind words of support. Last night was much better, DD settled herself with no intervention from us and didn't wake until 6am, then was grizzly off and on til about ten to seven, so that's great.
She's been really clingy and a bit sooky though that last few days, I think a molar coming down on the top somewhere, combined with really really nasty nappy rash (poor poppet), a cold, daylight savings, she has just been not herself. Here's hoping she's back to normal soon.
Had my GD test yesterday and I finish work (again) in 8 weeks! It is all going so fast!!

Pinny- yeah we needed it, think we only been out just the 2 of us few times since DD1 was born 3.5 years ago! Mil has told me she is gonna help me out with sewing and she has overlocker too. Hope your DD is ok, seems once one child gets sick the other follows.
OP- Yeah Em's been clingy too with not being well. Hard to get anything done when they grizzle and want to be picked up all day. Wow 8 weeks work left, bet you're counting down too.
Nai- how was the dinner last night? Any hangovers?
Olive- still not had our needles that why thought was viral, seems to have settled too. Bet you were happy bout your bombers last night, first win of season!
Girls seem alot better today, they are fighting and being crazy so must be well!

OP - What you describe Miss I doing sounds so like DS. He will sometimes self settle but often when he doesn't going in and cuddling him no longer works. He cries and screams (has a new one and it's horrible) and arches his back etc. No idea what causes it because it seems so random so I feel your pain. I hope that molar comes through soon. Teeth suck.

AFU - Work was a big build up (I felt so stressed before going in the first day) and then has been pretty boring so far lol!! I think on balance I'm glad to be back, just want to get through the settling in stage quickly and get back into it. A year is long enough to not be using my skills and training. On the first morning J screamed so hard no noise was coming out at first when I left him. :( Twas hard but the next couple of days he was fine, no tears and smiles when I left so much better. His night sleep has gone out the window though - one night we had an 8 hour stretch but he still woke at 3am. Other nights have been very unsettled. Still not feeding for at least 6-7 hours overnight but have co-slept and/or been up a lot which sucks. Some nights its every couple of hours. One tooth through and another on it's way. Feeding is still mega painful too and often makes me cry. Nipples don't seem to be healing. Not sure how much more I can do but I'd hate to wean under these circumstances so I keep thinking, one more day, one more day.

Heaven - hope your week away was good! I feel your pain with the molars - think we have two coming as I said on FB. They suck! DD had her finger in her mouth yesterday chewing away and then all of a sudden stopped and started crying, I think she'd poked her own sore gum or something :( I'm hoping we get back to better sleeps too...

I know exactly what you mean about the silent cry - I hate that one, breaks your heart!!! Big hugs for the stuffed sleeping though, I feel your pain, as you know, sounds like our bubs are doing similar things. Its so difficult when they are arching back, red face, inconsolable. Feel like a crap parent because shouldn't we know what's wrong and how to fix it??? Here's hoping he settles into a routine with CC and you can start getting good sleeps back. How many days are you working??

AFU: well coincedentally with Olive, I was up at 2am as well - DD woke at 2am and grizzled on and off for about 20mins, til I got up, would not settle, DH got up too (takes a lot to wake him!!!) so we tried nappy change, water, cup of milk, eventually gave up and got her some panadol and then I fed her... we think she might have been hungry as she wasn't interested in any dinner and even though I gave her 2 BFs before bed, it might not have been enough...
I'd said to DH when we crashed at 10pm (after my dad's 60th) that what I needed was to sleep until my alarm went off, without waking... then of course I had a pee break at midnight, DD awake 2am-3am, DH started snoring about 4am :rolleyes: and then alarm went off at 6am. So stuffed today.
I'm into the third tri - think I'm starting to lose the good energy from 2nd tri... just feeling big and tired and knowing I've still got 12wks to go... sigh...
On a brighter note, my dad had his 60th party yesterday at my parents' house, which was great fun! Hard work for me, my mum and sister as we did the bulk of the food prep, cooking, cleaning, etc... but he had a great time which was the important thing!

op eekkk 4am wakeups suck! we have then but i feed still, TBH i cant be bothered fighting it at the moment! DD is down to one feed and i will feed anytime after 4am, before that and i *try* and resettle, not sure how to change it except perhaps try and resettle or offer boob or bottle, maybe try the jat gordan stuff and offer quick feeds for a few nights, then cuddles for a few more,then not getting out of cot :dunno: i hope its sorted before next bubs :hug:
AFM last 2 nights have been much better, monday she slept til 3am tool 30 mins to resettle, no boob then slept til 7am, last night woke at 3.39am, but seen as id had a crap sleep i couldnt be bothered resettling til 4am then feeding so i fed, she woke again 40 mins later but DH resettled then slept til 7am, so gettting better again, off to the osteo again on friday!
Olive - Excited...sometimes...terrified...most of the time! Cried my heart out last night as DH was trying to settle A and couldn't and all I could think about is what if she needs me when I'm in hospital with bub2...how am I going to give them both what they need when they need it...I guess I just have to focus on the fact she's so little she won't remember!!!

Olive - way to go on the settling.. Al is still a booby monster at night - I'm waiting for him to outgrow it - slack I know.
Eli - Everything will sort itself out... it always does.
AFU - up at 6am, out walking by 9.30 with a grumpy baby who is fighting at nap time, then he slept for 1.5hrs (while I walked), we napped again at 4pm (late I know) woke at 6pm - no idea when he's goign to go to sleep, but my fuse is so short at the moment.

DS1 got rushed to hossy on easter monday nite- he couldnt pee!! His uretha had totally closed over so in the end they had to put a supra pubic cath in- straight through his stomach. He spent 3 more days in hossy and is on massive amounts of AB's until the cath comes out. We go see the surgeon tommorow and they are planning more surgery for next wednesday!
I sent him back to school on monday- trying to keep things as normal as possible. Was going up twice a day to empty his bag etc. All was going fine until tues at lunch when his so called friend decided to kick him in the stomach- could have killed him!!
had words with the school and have now taken him out of school until he is well again as i do not believe that they can keep him safe and too worried about the cath being knocked/moved etc and causing more problems!
So that is DS!
Meanwhile my nan has been rushed to hossy- she lives in cairns so i cant do anything to help her so my mum has gone up there to help and drive my nan's hubby around who only came out of hossy 24 hours before this happened! She has a blood clot behind her eye and have now found a blockage in her heart that they are going to fix tommorow.
Also had to have my wisdom tooth taken out last thurs in the chair as it was causing so much trouble in my mouth and my jaw was infected and not getting even better with AB's- it still isnt any better with tooth out so i was suppose to go back to dentist today but woke up with a massive migrane and couldnt even see- so going tommorow now! I have been living off pain relief !!
My FIL is also going in for heart surgery next thurs so prayers from those incline to would be greatly appreciated!!
Meanwhile DD is school refusing and boof is having a massive growth spurt and has been suffering terribly with growing pains - poor poss
At the moment my cup is overflowing . . . no wonder i feel like i am drowning!!!! Thank goodness my DH is an absolute legend and is capable of everything- he is THE MAN!!

Ellie - Wow! Not long at all now. You will be just fine and so will A. I found that DD1 developed a much stronger relationship with DP when DD2 was born. It did them the world of good to be honest.
Olive & OP - how is the sleeping going? Miss J wakes a couple of times during the night (1am and 5asm last night) but she has a little cry and goes back to sleep by herself (unlike me). She is getting molars #3 & 4 so I think they are hurting her.

AFU: Yawn, another stupidly early start. My SIL had her baby at 3am and they texted us at 5am... so we were awake, DD hadn't stirred but woke about 10mins after that. Don't know if she heard the phone or what... anyway I had a sippy of milk in the fridge, went and warmed it a little, gave it to her in bed (as per the lovely Nai's suggestion!) which she drank happily enough until she realised I wasn't going to pick her up and then she cracked it.
Soon as I picked her up all she wanted was BB, so stuck her on and then tried to put her back down, hoping she'd go back to sleep - nup. 6am by now so gave up and got her up... had another feed at about 6.30am and then some toast and then shipped her off to my sister's and came into work. Feel like cr@p.
No idea what to do.

Ellie- I used to feel the same way but things turn out fine, now Ash can't even remember a time it was just her. There are articles and threads on BB bout these sorts feelings.
Kaz- any improvements on the feeding front? CC going ok? He settled in alright?
Girls are better here except Ash's behaviour is bad, really rude shouting in our faces, refusing everythig, tantrums, so exhausting.
And now I'm not feeling 100%, nausea, headaches and lethargic most of the day, totally struggled at work yesterday.

ARM M went to bed minus boob and me tonight :o i was out and she refused a bottle of oat milk, she refused EBM a few weeks back so i refuse to waste any more so oat milk it was, didnt want a bar of it! shocked to say the least!

AFM- DD still has a runny nose but lungs seem to be clear and no more coughing. Feel like the hols have gone so quick seeming she was sick most of them. Normally its me (like you said Kaz). I have escaped so far!!! I am a little concerned about DD head banging all the time. If I say no, she will find something hard to bang her head on (floor, table, toy) Its really awful to see her hurting herself. I am not thinking autism as she is also very affectionate and will cuddle me, DP, anyone really. I think its frustration but its just awful to see. I :dunno: really...
ali i know i was surprised too! and she slept til 4am :o then til 7.30am.
osteo was good, she said there was a huge improvment, back in 5 weeks.

Ali - both my girls have been headbangers when having tantrums, however they stopped pretty quickly when they realised that it didn't get them anywhere and it hurt them :lol: I just ignored them and they grew out of it. I know some kids do it a lot longer but it is generally a phase and pretty common too.
With the swine flu, DD1 had it last year but none of the rest of us got it :dunno: DP and I have been vaccinated this year but I haven't had the girls done. My friend who is a GP thinks I should but I can't bring myself to do it. I think DD1 will be ok as she probably has some natural immunity now. Miss J was exposed to her so I'm hoping that she also has some immunity.
Ali- Do a search cause I know in the past I have seen headbanging threads. I think it can be a common thing and they do grow out of it. I'm guessing its out of frustration because they can't express themselves so well and don't have control over emotions. Not nice for parents tho to watch.
Olive- lol no not preg, thats it for us here!
I am feeling better today but still called in sick to work, not well enuff to rush round on my feet for 8 hours. DD1 at swimming lessons with Df, DD2 in bed, me relaxing peacefully. First day of no heacache or nausea. Might go have cup tea.
Shell- I hope you feel better soon, I was sick with a virus last weekend and took me ages to shake it, just no energy, headaches and so tired... Not pregnant either!!!;) Hope you can shake it soon...

AFU- I had a massage today it was fantastic!! My best friend organised it and we took it in turns of looking after the kids in the playground over the road.. I have not had one in 8 years!! think I'm going to make it a reguglar thing although i did wonder if i could get Dh to try and do it at home too!! but then decided against it as I'm sure he would have other intentionns when it was over and all i would want to do would be too sleep!!! ;)

:( My poor little princess had her first nasty fall this afternoon. She face planted into the corner of the coffee table (which unfortunately has 2 corners - one above the other). She has a bruise on her forehead and on her chin and she had blood coming out of her mouth. She was so upset and crying and I was so worried but she came good after lots of cuddles.
