OP - as a last resort try Hydrozole cream from the chemist. I have used it once or twice with DD1 when nappy rash just would not budge. It was gone in 24 hours!
We have been feeding at about 5am most mornings as Miss J thinks it's wake up time Grrr! I think she is getting cold and waking. She only has a norning feed now so I don't want to deny her but I wish she wouldn't wake so early for it!
-
also how many sleeps are all the babes having and how long??
M is only having one sleep at around midday for around 60-75 mins, though yesterday it was 2hrs 10 mins! wish shed sleep longer :(
-
olive last few days Alex has been sleeping about 10am and then waking at 1pm - but only sleeps that long when I co sleep with him (or lay on the mattress).. we are back to co-sleeping again, and he's still a booby monster...
I'm just about ready to give up entirely...

 malyna
nai how is the body feeling after the big bike ride?

Hey girls, I haven't been in here since the 20th April  Sorry for being such a bad buddy. I do think of you all often but I just don't get much time to get in here.
I've read through all the posts.
DS isn't wearing shoes yet. We only have one pair that was a gift and I have no idea what size they are! He isn't walking yet. Do they need shoes once they're walking? Hey Det, thanks for the tip about the blunstone boots, sounds like a good plan! I read somewhere that kids don't really need shoes until they're 2 - how true is that?
BB - Hope you get that casual work. That money is fantastic for not having the responsibility, just holding the fort for the day! I'm in the wrong job!! Hope your friend is doing ok.
OP - you have heaps on your plate atm. I hope things have settled down with your sister. I'd be upset with your mates too, that's not on, esp since you're pg and have a one year old! Not long to go now.
Lilima - Hope DS is making a speedy recovery and that the naughty behaviour is pretty minor this time.
olive - DS has one feed per day, early morning between 5am and 8am depending when he wakes. Usually it's around 6. His sleep is all over the show. No pattern whatsoever. Monday this week he didn't sleep at all and we were home. First time he has gone without a day sleep :( WE only have 5 teeth here with #6 cutting through now.
Det - Hope everybody is still on the mend. You've had a crazy time hun!
Hi to everyone else!!
AFU - Feel like I have no time since being back at work. Everything I used to do all week now gets squashed into two days. We've been away, DS has been sick (got it at CC) and is currently still on ab's, he's been teething. Sleep has been really variable but mostly crap. He has taken to waking once or twice per night (not just normal wake and resettle but wake up properly, crying etc) and is taking up to 2 hours to go back to sleep. Just wants to be held. Sometimes giving him milk (cow) helps, other times not. We have started co-sleeping some nights because we're just so tired it's the only way to get any rest but even that doesn't always work and he's usually up at 5am on those nights. He is night weaned and I regret doing that now because at least before I could feed him and get back into bed 10-15 mins later. This is getting beyond a joke. There's always something! He doesn't sleep well in CC either - anything from 20mins to 1hr10mins.
On a positive note, he is trying to take some wobbly steps and can stand quite well. Hasn't worked out how to climb yet which I'm  about. Talking heaps, trying to say new words and copying the intonation of things we say with his own babble language. Plus he has stopped crying at CC drop offs now which is great.
I'll try to get in here more often I promise!! Take care everyone. xx

so good to see yoou kaz!!!!
dont worry about the night feeds if you need to feed, feed! ive gone back to feeding once a night, anytime after 4am and it has improved her self settling too
yay on the almost walking! climbing sux M climbs up the cupboards in the kitchen, you know holds onto the bench top and tries to walk up the cupboard  so yep.. fantastic not!
were teething here too, thinking molars are moving!
shoes we have them because were out in yukky places! like swimming and kinder, at home its bare feet! she didnt wear any until she was walking
-
Yeah I have thought about just feeding again overnight but tbh, my nipples are still cracked and feeding can still really HURT depending on his latch etc. It's been over a month now. So over it. I have found the morning feed to be the most comfortable and I was hoping that only doing one feed in 24 hours would help them heal. Apparently not  I don't want to wean but the thought of adding in more feeds isn't a happy one either cause my supply would have dropped so he'll fuss around much more now.
-
ginger was having the same issues and posted about it in the breastfeeding area, maybe check out that thread  icant believe there still cracked
-
 Kaz - good to see you! It's hard getting on here with work and everything!
Olive - I am pretty much recovered from the bike ride  Our excitement today was that Miss J said "doo-lee-eh" this morning (translation: Juliette)
-
 for Miss J. Very clever Nai!
Who's bub is yet to walk?
-
im sure Pinny's DS isnt kaz!
-
Kaz-Yep DS is not walking, just strted taking a few steps 2 to 3 between DH and myself but then gets really silly and just throws himself from one to the other!!
-
-
Pinny - DS is doing the exact same thing!!
Another crap night of sleep here....milk in a sippy doesn't work, panadol doesn't work, co-sleeping worked for a few hours until about 4am when it was apparently playtime :wall: So tired. Feeling flat today and like he's never gunna learn to sleep through.
What's everyone got planned for tomorrow?
-
Tomor I have a day planned of not lifting a finger! Lol. Better be a good day as last mothers day Df had spent the whole weekend drunk so he better well and truly make up for that.
Kaz- I wish I had some words of wisdom, he will eventually sleep well, its just so hard to see atm when your eyes are popping out of your head.
Malyna- I reakon take up that day sleep with him everyday, if he sleeps that long and you get a nap in sounds like a good plan! Except when you have stuff you need to do.
Emily is still having the 2 day sleeps but they're getting shorter so prolly won't be long before we get to 1, she just gets cranky if she is awake for too long.
Nai- clever she can say her name! Tricky one to say too.
Oh and Happy Birthday OP!!! Hope you didn't end up getting sick and are having a great weekend!
-
Morning ladies,
Big weekend here - had my thirtieth and of course Mothers Day!!!! Hope everyone had a fabulous day yesterday and were spoiled rotten - we all deserve to be!
How strange is this new forum? I've only just logged in this morning at work - haven't been in since Wed, it is so weird, I am still trying to find my way around. On a sour note, the other one worked much better on a reduced window size - because I am at work, I try to minimise the size of the screen so no one notices ( don't think I'm fooling anyone!) and this new one is all screwy with the layout when the screen size is changed... bummer...
Thanks for all the bday wishes here and on FB - had a great birthday! I was still a bit sick which sucked but I struggled through. Was ridiculously spoiled, though nothing from DH as we are a bit strapped for cash ATM and he wants to get me something really nice - so he printed me a picture of a Tiffany box and wrote "IOU" next to it! He tried at least...
Kaz - big hugs hun! You are doing it tough! I really struggle when we have a bad night with DD and I have to work the next day... I know some measure of what you are going through, but it sounds like DS is a constant battle for you at nights, you poor thing. I really hope something settles down for you soon. Maybe once he has mastered walking he will sleep better?? One of the mums in my sister's MG said that her DS slept much better once he was walking - something to do with being active and burning more calories!
Nai - so cute on the Juliette! Isabel started saying "a-bel" yesterday, which could have meant one of two things: my niece, who is nearing 2yo, calls her "A-bel" because she can't say the "S" sound, so she could have picked that up, or she was reading a book at the time and looking at an apple! So it might have been apple...
Shell! Just read your post properly about last mothers day!!!! How did you go yesterday, did you laze about all day being waited on hand and foot?? :D Hope so hun!
I can't see anything else - for some reason when I clicked "Reply" its gone to Quick Reply so I can only see the above like 4 posts. Sorry ladies!!
Hi to everyone else! Happy Mothers Day for yesterday!!!
-
Hello all!!
I haven't posted for ages in here!! Didn't want to bore you all with our night weaning issues, haha. But we had an outstanding night last night and who better to share it with than you guys who will really appreciate how awesome it is!! LOL. I thought it was going to be a horrible night. She just cut a 3rd molar, she had a late sleep and woke at 5pm and her naps were totally crap with her having to be resettled about 100 times!! But, she went to bed at 9pm and slept until 4am!!!!! Then went back to sleep til 7am!!!!!! Unbelievable. I think the last time she only woke once she was around 3 months old!! lol. Probably a once off but I'm happy to see she CAN do it. Hope the night weaning keeps going well.
I hope you all had an awesome Mother's Day!! The new forums are totally weird, still trying to work it out!! lol.
