ali dont use wipes for a few days! ouchie!
What do you put on it hun?
Today I have been putting bepanthen on and using warm water and cloth wipes then I bathed her in QV bath oil. Hoping it will clear up. Am thinking I will wake her tonight to change her nappy as I want to try and keeep her as dry as possible.
ETA- thanks Jols. Yep onto that. Am thinking I might run up to the shops and get some huggies and curash corn starch powder as I have had her in baby love nappies and dont think they are keeping moisture away from the skin. :dunno:
Congrats on the promotion Ali! What are you using on the nappy rash?
Olive - yay on the sleep!! Miss J seems to be getting a bit better with her sleep too now that her eye teeth are through.
OP - haven't heard from you today - hope that means bubs is making his way out ;)
Shell & Meg - I find that Miss J eats better in her booster seat sitting next to DD1 and they are eating the same thing. Although if she doesn't eat I do give her something extra otherwise she wakes up at night (which is worse than the eating issues I think)
Malyna - Syd meet is next June - so plenty of time to plan :D
AFU - Miss J is progressing in leaps and bounds with her speech and development - must be a developmental spurt at the moment.
off to bed chickens see you in the morning!
I find that any other baby wipes other than natures own gives Alex nappy rash - I used to use other nappies, but I also use their nappies now.
Okay, sorry I get confused - must be my age - LOL. I don't spend a lot of time on the computer anymore - well unless I'm editing or writing - so I've become a really bad bb buddy.
Ali - congrats on the promotion.
OP - any day now
AFU - still struggling with PND - Alex is adorable and loving our new car. still editing my books and reading loads of books, FIL estate finally settled - 2 year anniversary in september.
Take care girls
xxoo
omg guys, just a quick one but you won't believe it......... 16 months later and SHE SLEPT THROUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! First time ever!!!! She slept from 8.30pm until 5.30am when DHs stupid alarm woke her up. She had a quick feed and went back to sleep until 6.30. And lucky for us we were tired so we went to bed when she did!! I freaked out this morning when I woke up and she wasn't in bed with us, LOL. Then heard her breathing, phew. After a bit of a cold and teething we'd been feeding a bit more over night but have got back to the not feeding again, 4 days later and she sleeps through!! So proud of her right now!
Olive- so glad to hear you are getting some sleep too!
Ali- I would just not use wipes, just a cloth and water or something. Zinc always works the best here.
Nai- I'm constantly amazed at how quick they are learning now and how much she understands that I didn't even realise!! Your girls are just so cute, that video of the ballet is so adorable!!
Shell- I know, not sure how to hide the m/s lol. Mum will guess for sure and we're staying there next w/e, damn it!
Oh gtg
heaven wonderful news darl!!!! its hard to believe when they finally do isnt it!! i hope this is the start of sleeping through everynight for you!
DD slept through sat night. was lovely!
i hope the m/s eases up soon!
E has become even more fussy about food! No dinner, then half a weet bix for breakfast....
Meg- with Em I end up making a piece toast, we usually sit with dinner for bout 45mins and she sees us eating but won't eat herself tries to feed us but won't put any in her own mouth. Ash being older gets nothing else, if she doesn't eat it she can go to bed hungry. I think once Emily is older and can understand better she'll get the same deal.
Ali and Meg- hope the nappy rashes settle, I usually slather on sudocreme and change nappies more often when its that bad. Makes it worse tho if the keep pooing. Maybe stay away from acidic foods too.
Malyna- Good luck with the book, I'm waiting for the day its published, I want to get my copy signed by you! look after yourself too, I'm guessing the writing and reading is a good outlet for you.
Heaven- It happened, woohoo! The light at the end of the tunnel was there, she mustve known mummy needed sleep.
We're off to the circus today. We'll prolly cough all over everyone. Df is starting to hate school holidays cause we've noticed a trend of getting sick every school holidays!
2 spoonfulls of veggies, maybe 4 sultanas and I piece of cicken loaf for lunch.........
Hi ladies
Still here, no movement at the station! Had an S&S today so we'll see if that starts anything...
Lilima - DD is the same with food. Really picks at whatever we give her. So hard because we know if she goes to bed hungry, she'll sleep ok but wake up some time between 1am and 5am because she's hungry  Can't wait til she's a bit older and can understand!
Shell - how did the circus go?? Hope you guys aren't getting too sick!
Heaven - that's so fantastic about DD sleeping!!! Well done all your persistence in your gentle methods has paid off!! Just when you need it as well!
Malyna - Are you seeing anyone about the PND? Hope its not getting on top of you...
Ali - we had really bad nappy rash with DD a while back. Lots of nappy off time, slathers and slathers of cream at every nappy change, using a stay dry liner overnight helped for us. But we're in cloth so... but still, a zinc based cream will still help, as will frequent nappy changes - like every time she dirties the nappy, even if its just been half an hour or something. Hope it clears up soon - it was really bad for DD, she now says "Ow" when she wees or poos because it used to hurt... poor thing.
Nai - hi! Sorry no messages yet for you!!
AFU: we have one more molar to come through but in the meantime the eye teeth have started. Sleep has been a mixed bag - the only constant seems to be waking before 6am! DH took today off so that has helped a bit... No baby news yet, he's hanging in there! Hard for me because this time with DD I was on my way to hospital after labouring all day... and this one shows no signs of budging. Ah well.
OMG! Freaking out here - I just got offered a new job. Don't know what to do.... eeeek!!!
OP - I hope the S&S works! It did for me.
OP he wil b e here before you know it!!
Nai oohhh sounds exciting! do tell
Oooh what new job???
How soon after your s&s did things happen Nai??
PS Nai if you do get to post my BA, could you also poke your head into my belly buddy group and let them know?
Mummy2aiden is getting some irregular contractions so she might be a bit busy soon!!
OP- I had a S&S with DD1 and ended up having her 2 days later, but contractions were sorta starting that day.
Nai- whats the new job? Is it a big change from what you're doing now? Same hours?
Meg- sounds like here.
Circus was good, Ash seemed to enjoy it. Emily seems to have gotten what Ash has had for the past week and what I have at present. Sigh, too much sickness here, coughing all night keeping ourselves awake.
Sure thing OP - I had Miss J the day after the S&S so it didn't take long, although I was 1cm dilated and fully effaced when she did the S&S
The new job is an Employment consultant with Vision Australia, so helping get vision impaired people into employment. They are based a 10 min walk from home so it is ideal location wise and 3 days a week 8.30 - 4.30 so shorter hours too and better salary package. It is very exciting - a step away from HR but still in the same sort of field.
