oh sherie: that must of felt incredibly powerful and strange for you finding yourself walking out like that with not a little person by your side...
awesome news that he enjoyed his day though! 75% of the battle...the other 25% is how we cope lol!

Arte: no not too much to ask...you have certainly got some interesting (non)sleepers lol! this time for sure you gunna get a good sleeper

AFM: well, leila is still worrying me slightly with her skinniness. i might have to take her to the GP, i just need him to say that she is totally normal and just has a penchant for a fast metabolism.

Cass, I'm sure she is fine. I've seen some pretty skinny kids in my time and all of them were healthy. Even among A's preschool group there is a real variety of sizes and they are all a similar age. And P was uber skinny too - remember me talking about the skirt she grew out of at 5yo that was a size 0? She was skinny for ages and it's only just been the past 18mths-2 years that she is gaining a bit of weight. She has only just cracked 22kg.

JM, glad that's all sorted for you now LOL.

Trill A looked so adorable all ready for school, its great he had a good day.

Cass if she seems well then I would think she is just a skinny kid. Can't hurt getting her checked out though.

Arte its great your DH has been so helpful.

JM will you be back in May? I can do May. Anyone else wanna come along on a trip to Melb in May????

MP how is N doing now? I hope he is ok.

Been at the beach all morning so the kids have crashed. I have about a million things I should be doing but feel like the only computer time I have had lately is for work.

Are all you Melb girls safe from flooding?

JM - K is not going to preschool this year. I was so focussed on the Canberra system where they only do one year that I was only going to ring up and enrol for next year. Somehow all Trill's talk about A starting preschool never really clicked with me (yeah, there are blond tendencies). Anyway, I was chatting with another mum at the day care pick up yesterday and her littlie (who started kindy this year) went last year and the little sister just started. She was raving about so I will ring up and enrol K on Monday. Apaprently there is a waiting list, so we'll see how we go. It is just a community run one, there is a government one in the Bay, but it is 30min from work.

Cass - glad your mum is OK

MP - is N still on the mend, poor little thing.

Oz - Mmm, Melbourne in May...... Think we will hit the beach later this afternoon. Although it's hard to motivate getting out of the nice cool a/c house and go to the 35 degree beach.

Arte - my BIL sounds like A. His day care teachers would so proudly tell his Mum that they got him to have a nap and she would then dread the evening because he would be up past 11. And my hairdresser this morning was telling me of a friend who's littlies are regularly up past 10.

Sounds suspiciously like thrush....... You can get over the counter meds at pharmacy, but I ended up needing prescription meds to clear mine up.

Yeah, dangerous country, I read an article that rated port moresby as the second most dangerous city in the world?!

I hope she's not being hard on herself Oz, I saw the thread she posted about her placenta slowing down the other day and I know if it were me going through this, I'd be running all the 'what ifs' through my mind and blaming myself for not forcing the issue.

Oz, I was thinking of you when I heard I hope she is doing alright. I also saw the placenta thread, I hope it wasn't something that could have been prevented - it sounded like the Drs were a bit casual about it

Trill, I thought yesterday was friday lol
