Tarkine- All those books are tricky to read aloud, lol. As others have said don't stress bout the frozen embryos at the moment, wait see how things settle down. When L is bit older and DH has secure job, for months after having Ash I was like no more and Ash was gonna be only child but I got to a point where I started thinking I'd like another and now Emily is here.
Holly- Good on him, woohoo, he must be feeling better, thankfully was just a 24hr thing, such a worry tho isn't it. Ash had her first illness at 5 months, urine infection, awful spent 4hrs down at emergency.
Kaz- Little miss popular with all your guests! Get them to help with poor sick Jacob. Hope the vapouriser helps. Have you also got the fess nose stuff if he is snotty? With the aspirartor, I sucked so much snot out of Emily when she was sick, was horrible but made a huge difference then could she could breath alot better.
Det- how is the 'manflu' lol. Poor Boof.
Funeral today was quite nice, was good to hear all these stories about him from family and friends, all the things they told you could easily see in your head him doing all those things. So many people there too, couldn't all fit inside thats how busy it was.
Emily been bit cranky of late, don't know why, maybe a delayed thing from needles. who knows, going ok at night just grizzly during day not seeming herself not settling as well. Hope its a phase.

hey girls
just a quickie as i am buggered
we set a new record last nite- 10 feeds from 1am till 6am!!! YEP 10 !!!!
Levi has not slept more than 40 mins for the past 48 hours and is feeding constantly!!!
He does not do 'sick' well!
Better still DH and I have it now! Dh has it the worse apparently- NOT!
my eyes are sore from being awake for so long and i have sinus pain as well
he has just gone to sleep now as he has been awake since 5.30pm today!! Hopefully for more than 40 mins again! Last nite he was jumping in his jumperoo still at 12am- he just wants to feed, jump and jirate!
i figure that he eventually has to crash and burn sometime- just waiting for when!
Just dreading how engorged my BB's are gonna be when he gets over this feeding frenzy! I have never know a baby to feed so much as he has in the past 48 hours! - i reckon its been like 30 feeds in the past 24 hours! I am so dehydrated even though i have drunk nearly 3 litres of water today- just trying to replace what he has suck out of me!
OMG he is awake allready!!!
10 mins sleep whoot!
gotta go
mwah

AFM well millie had her first swimming lesson today and would you believe she slept for 3 hours after :o the was up for 2hrs then slept for another 2 :o dont know what the go is there!!
-
Hello? Where is all the chatter???
Tarkine, L hasn't rolled since either!
Shell, hope E is not so grizzly today. It is very awful when they are sick and so little. Just wish we could read their minds! Re the funeral...it's so nice to hear of all those pleasant memories that loved ones and friends relay. RIP to your friend
Det  Hope you're all feeling better today. How are the bb's coping?
AJP, wow what a great sleep! Maybe the swimming tired her out! Must try that one lol.
AFM, DP and I got to get out of the house together last night for the first time since L was born! We had a friends birthday to go to. We went bowling at Kingpin in Crown. I didn't win any of the games... I'm so weak...even the lightest ball was killing my arm! I left L with mum and she sent me a picture message of L sleeping! It also read that he had finished his bottle and was fast asleep! Nice to get the message, so I didn't have to worry. We got home just before midnight and L was still sleeping - although he must have smelt me or something because he woke not long after
His eczema has really flared up on his face and the poor thing is so itchy :( Been using 1% cortisone cream but it's not really going away :( Any ideas?

Hi girls,
I have managed to get through my busy busy week. Had a great one! Was sooooo good seeing my mum and Ashlyn has been a good little possum.
We gave her first taste of solids this morning and it was the cutest thing. Lots of photos which I will put on FB at the beginning of August (my download/upload is too slow at the moment as we've gone over out limit).
Shell- funerals are awful but glad you got through it.
Holly- we left Ashlyn with my mum Sat night for a 30th as well. I knew she was in good hands and she slept the whole time. Then she woke as well when I got home but mum gave her a bottle as I had already gotten it out of the frezer and defrosted it.
Jols- doing your trick with the leftover EBM and giving it to my dog. Only Max likes it, WInston turned his nose up at it! LOL! That is sooo great about all that sleeping. The swimming must have really tired her out. How warm do they make the pools for babies these days???
Nai- DD is taking bottles again. Had 2 this week but not from me so I think that is the trick. I think with me she wants the real deal. Have you tried J again?? I am still giving her the sippy cup with a little bit of EBM in it every second day as I still want her to use that so that later in she doesnt reject it.
Det- How is boof? :o at the amount of feeds!!!!! You must be really sore!!! Hope you are better and DH hasnt been too much of a 'victim' of manflu as well. I know my DP acts liek such a victim when he is sick! Pffft!
Kaz- Great to hear an update from you. Things sound very busy over your way as well.
Heaven- Are you around hun? Hope you and Miss G are well :)
RRaver- How are things? Are you lurking at all??? Hope your move went well :)
:hello: to everyone else. I will have to re-read again as I have the worst memory today! :grouphug:

Must be the weekend for partying, I went out to a 40th last night and crashed at a friends place after, seeing as it was on other side of town I wasn't gonna drive all way home. So got to sleep in and spent relaxing morning having cups of hot tea. Party was fun, I got asked for ID, lol. Couldn't believe it.
Ali- Did she enjoy the solids? Not long til I start, I was planning to next week, on the one hand its exciting then on the other I think its more work then, lol, all that cooking and pureeing.
Holly- Poor L, not much I can suggest, how long have you been using cream for? Do you wash him in oil? Ash had exzema a few times, so I always wash her in the QV bath oil, sorbolene after to prevent her skin drying out and use the cortisone for a few days.
Yay on night out, it'll make it easier next time knowing L was fine without you, Lol at the bowling, I am the same always use the light ball.
AJP- Maybe thats the trick for good sleeps we should all take our babies swimming!
Det- How is Levi, any better? Has he settled down with the feeds?
-
AJP - yay for the big sleep after swimming! Didn't work for Miss J today though :( Still only 45min although she was very tired.
Ali - we started Miss J on solids today too! I have had 4 bad nights in a row and I said yesterday that if I have one more then I will give her a try. She fed 4 times during the night so I gave her some of the Rafferty's Organic rice cereal mixed with EBM this morning and she just about ripped the spoon out of my hand and was almost feeding herself. I gave her a second lot before bath time and I think she would have licked the bowl if she could have. I'm pretty sure she was ready. I haven't tried her on the sippy cup again but I will try to keep it up.
Holly - well done on getting out. I'm sure they can smell you when you come home and wake up! I don't have any experience with eczema so I can't help with that - sorry :(
Det - poor boof! I hope he is feeling better. The feeding must be so draining for you
-
:hello:
Alex has started doing little fake coughs then looking at me waiting for me to cough back.. .gotta get back to the coughing BBL for personals
-
 tarkine!! millie does the same!!
BBL as well.....
-
Amazingly we had a better night last night with Miss J only waking once!! She also downed her bowl of rice cereal this morning, grabbing the spoon and feeding herself if I wasn't quick enough  I had a bit of Mummy guilt about starting her before 6 months but seeing that she is doing that I feel a little better about starting her. She must have been very ready (now I sort of feel bad for holding off on her :( )
-
Tarkine & Jols- Hw funny on the fake coughing. I have started to notice a fake start up to a cry and when I say to DD "Are you pretending" she starts to smile and giggle! LOL Cheeky little monkeys!
Shell- She really did enjoy it. There were lots of smiles and she looed quite satisfied in the end! Good work on your night out as well. Did you leave the girls with DF? How was he the next day? Hopefully he appreciated all that you do when you are by yourself.
Nai- I was feeling a bit guilty but you know what I thought, No one knows your child better than what you do. We are not feeding them extreme foods, there was far more EBM than rice cereal so its a minimal amount. I only fed DD in the morning with it. I might try the evening as well jsut before bath time. I am not going to add any extra foods for awhile. I'll just keep her on the rice cereal for a couple of weeks.
-
Well Df had a friend of ours over to help him out, she pretty much did everything, she also stayed the night to do night feeds! Then the next day he says to me, "oh Emily is easy to look after" I said thats because you didn't do anything, J did it all!
I have the rice cereal ready in the cupboard. Thought 5 months will be alright time to start, Emily still bit off so waiting. She been off her bottles a bit and making straining noises but she isn't constipated still doing 1-2 poos and not hard or anything. So maybe she got an achey tummy? She has been doing more vomits. Its been a week now since her vacs but it seemed to have started 2 days after having them, and I know the rotavirus upset her a bit last time too. So who knows if its still from that.
-
Shell - E's nappies are only now going back to norma, exactly 2 weeks after the vax.
I too have the rice cereal in the cupboard, but haven't started yet. She still seems satisfied with breatmilk.
AJP - Excellent that she had a good day sleep. Does she want to come and chat with E about it?
nai - I am glad that you had a better night.
Had my sisters babyshower yesterday. It was really nice. Just a great relaxing arvo, pretty low stress. E wouldn't sleep at mum's though. She really won't sleep well inless in her own bed.
I have just been MEGA hungry the last few days....
-
hey girls
I survived the feeding frenzy and have come out the other side!!!
Back to normal feeds again today- but my boobs are still recovering- now they are producing so much milk again- they are engorged and full all the time again!
ah well they will settle down soon enough
boof is 75% better now- although now DH has 'manflu' - he has been 'soo bad' that he has been off for work for the past 3 days- poor poss- not!! I have had it to but DH didnt even realise that i had been sick as well- i dont have time to be sick lol
DS1 is fighting it off- hope he doesnt get it as he has chronic lung disease so it always turns nasty with him- gotta love winter!!!
megiemoppit- grr about E's nappies only going back to normal- i am suppose to get boof's 6 month ones done this week sometime but gonna wait until he is totally better. Something else to look forward to ! Multicolour nappies!!!
shell- sorry to hear about your friend so sad! LOL DH doing all the work- glad you had a good nite away from the kids!!! You go girl!
Tarkine and Jols- Boof did the fake cough as well- so funny. Just before he starting saying some words. His first word was "Hello" then "dad da" and now he says "ariel but its more like arr- rol- that is my DS1 name- no Ma ma yet . The cough is the first sounds they make before they start making out words so it wont be long i reckon till you girls get your first words!!!!
Ali and Nai- too cute on the rice cereal- when they are ready- they certainly are ready!
Boof pretty much went to two meals from the start as well- he was cracking it at dinner time cause he wanted food and devoured it!!! Do what works for you! You know when they are ready- boof loves the raffery's rice cereral- i mix it with some EBM and fruit as well, and also the rafferty's tuna rice and vegies and chicken and apricot for dinner! Actaully my DD who is 6 also loves the fruit and has been known to have a container or two herself!
Holly- Boof has developed eczema as well lately- i reckon the heater and winter have heaps to do with it- been putting paw paw cream on, bathing every second day in soapless wash and i have started taken a Megaoil liquid myself so it goes through my b/milk to him! Its clearing up - so gonna keep it going! Let me know how you go and what works for you .
Kaz- hope Jacobs cold is better and you have survived your houseguest - mwah!
Arnt vapourisers great!! We also bought some air purifiers as well - one in each of the bedrooms to kill the bugs and germs as well! Dunno if it is working, but the theory is good!
As for us- boof has started getting himself around on the ground! He sorta jirates and thrusts his hips up and down and manages to move himself- too funny but effective- he is also starting to pull his legs up to crawling position when he is on his stomach- too scary! I think he is trying to move to escape from the other kids! LOL
Off to do the domestics
mwah and hugs to other girls!!!
-
Nai - MIL reckons that when bubs is ready for solids, they will just grab it and that will be it, so bubs must be ready for them!
Had a long day - just got Alex settled after being up at 7.30am - still won't go to sleep during the day unless on me, so I'm exhausted.. I'm lucky to have two hours a day baby free (i.e. hands free) and then I have to weigh it against sleep deprivation.. DH got a contract so he's back at work next week - will miss it when he goes back - he's only just got back into being another pair of hands around the house - although i won't miss waiting for him to get ready to go out (he takes longer than I do!)
Sorry no personals, just want to go and hide in the shower! WAH!
-
TARKINE - It must be tough only getting sleeps on you. I am very lucky in that way, although athey are not long sleeps, they are in the cot.
DET - I hope all the sickies improve soon.
I am off to meet some friends for lunch. DH has the car, so I am catching the train Lucky for me I am walking distance to the train, and it stops at the shopping complex that I am meeting at. HEAPS easier than driving anyway!
-
Megie - I prefer catching the train too with a pram. It's so easy.
Ali - Rice cereal makes babies a bit constipated so you may need to introduce pear or apple after a couple of days or she will get a sore belly.
Det - hope the manflu leaves your house quickly!! That's no fun at all :(
Sorry - need to rush off, have a physio appointment.
-
Tarkine- Hooray on DH getting the contract!!! I bet it is a big relief!!!
Off to take DD to kinder be back later
