Hi Everyone!!

Sorry I've been really slack.

Everything has finally fallen into place. BF is working itself out, Caryanah is now on 3 hourly feeds, goes down at 7.30pm and wakes only at 3am for a feed then back down til 8.30am.

Both my kids were great night time sleepers - so we've been very lucky.

Cooper was a bit of a handful for the first couple of weeks because the baby was feeding all day long and he felt a bit put out, but I've gone back to the EASY routines and she is a dream baby and finally learned to put herself to sleep if I catch her before she's overtired.

Since Cooper gets a few solid blocks of me all to himself, he has adjusted beautifully and is back to his sweet self.

In the last few days I've managed to get Caryanah taking her long daytime nap at the same time as Cooper's and I'm now getting a 2 hour block during the day all to myself. I've told DH I won't do housework, this time is for me, tv and coffee LOL......he has been awesome. Comes home from work and when the kids are in bed he helps me with the housework so by 8.30pm we have a couple of hours together before I head to bed.

Jaffaz - toddlers are a handful aren't they? With Cooper, I found in the first couple of weeks I'd growl at him if he slammed doors etc while I was getting the baby down and realised the only time I was interacting was to reprimand so I started letting the little stuff slide and keeping an eye out for the good stuff and making a big deal of that. I also made a few specific activity boxes for times when I'd need to spend a chunk with DD - things like DVD's he loves, books, toys that aren't his "mainstream" supply and he now knows when I set up the DVD and give him the box, it's solo playtime for Coops and mummy time with bub. If he brings me a book, I get him to sit next to me and I'll read it - some days are better than others, but with missy in her groove it's gotten heaps better!

Ali - How is little man? How are you going? Have you recovered well? Sounds like you've settled into Mummyhood quite well!

lauren22 - Poor bubba! Colds are no fun. Caryanah is a bit congested at the moment, I think it's that change of season. Winter is where the fun begins

proverbswife31_12 - Ouch! I ended up with mastitis and then a blister - I swore if I got mastitis once more that would be the end of BF - it felt like I was dying! The blisters hurt too - I found if her latch was good, the pain was minimal and it was all gone in a couple of days

Hope everyone else is doing good - just a quick poll - who is using dummies? If so, when and when will you wean? Wondering if it's worth the pain when she's having a "sucky" moment but not hungry
