We've just had a great bedtime - Isabel was in the cot, fed, bathed and ready for sleeping by about 6.45pm. She spat out her dummy then proceeded to chat to herself for a few mins, grizzle a bit, then chat, the chatting slowed right down to a few random "Gaaah" noises, then stopped and she was asleep.
No patting, no rocking, no dummy, NOTHING.
Very happy - and wondering how long she will sleep now! Yay!
Had a fun day today, had my hair cut and coloured, woo! I'm so prrreeettty now
On a down note, we found out that one of DH's friends was killed on his way to work on his motorbike. Not a close friend but still a friend. His wife will be a mess - they were each other's world, no kids, just the two of them. Such a shock.
AJP, that's why we upgraded to the cot too. Hope Millie isn't chucking up any more strange stuff - fingers crossed you get a normal day tomorrow with no exciting events like fingers in eyes!
RR - have a great time at the meet!!!!
Shell, how was the library? Sucks about your crap night! I think these babies like to mix things up for us, just when you think its all settled it goes crazy again. GL tonight!
Ali, wow, sounds like Ashlyn is really getting the hang of the night time thing and the cot too! And the weight gain, that's great!
Nai - hope you managed to keep the tribe amused today. How long til you are out of quarantine? Isabel seems happy to go 4hrs during the day now that I'm back demand feeding. Must be enough for her!
AFM, well last night we did a dream feed at about 11.30pm, then she woke at 2.30am, fed and straight back to sleep. She woke again at 5.00am, I listened to her and she wasn't hungry, so sent DH in to change nappy and resettle. Half an hour later she was awake and hungry
Fed and back to bed, she woke at 7.30 and into bed with me, slept til about 9am.
So I'm yet to get a long sleep at night but 3-4hrs is better than it was and having DH helping more is great.
