    Hey girls
having a lazy day here today- except DH who is on his computer doing work ALL weekend-whoot NOT!
DD was sick from school yesterday- cough, temp etc, and so now DS1 is coughing - so we are spreading the germs amongst ourselves - we are just laying low of the long weekend.
Boof and DD are still in their PJ's lol and DS1 is only dressed as we went to Auskick this morning- man it was COLD!!
Had visitors last nite and boof stayed awake till midnite and i had to wake him for auskick at 8am. When we got home i fed him and he went back to sleep at 10.30 and has just woken now!!!! He was soo stonkered- now he is jumping in his jumperoo! He loves it and goes right off it it!
Have fun at the meet up today girls- so jelous!

Hope James get better soon Meggiemoppit
DH says that is it shop is shut RE more kids- but want more- so unless we get another miracle conception- this is it for us as well
Mind you i still cant get rid of his baby clothes- JIC!

Put some photos of my mosters on facebook- so if anyone wants to see them, feel free to add me! PM me if you need my name etc

Good on you heaven for trying MCN- i was considering it with boof, but it didnt happen and not game enough to try at the moment- sposies working and easy so maybe still try later. OP bought some for me to look at and they looked ACE- but it just seems such a different method and something new to learn when i have mastered the alternative! Chicken i am hey!

WHOOT on nai being swine flu free! So many people i know have shown signs etc of it and refuse to go to the docs!!! I reckon there is at least double the amount of cases out there than they know about it! Esp in our area- its rampant!!
Its hard to know where to draw the line- is it a simple virus/cold or is it swine? Had to take DS1 to docs for his knees yesterday and i coughed- man you should have seen everyone jump- people are soo nervous!!

OP- go Isabel- that is awesome- what a little champ- now that she has proved that she can do it!!!!

Ali- WHOOT on Ashlyn rolling - she is soo happy with herself - what a champ!
Levi has still only rolled the twice- lol proved he can do it and doesnt need to do it again lol
    Outta here!!
    take care girls

I couldn't make it to the meet up, too tired and too hard with Emily. I did go into the city tho yesterday to catch up with a few who were staying in there, mostly from my sep 06 group, would've been great tho to meet some of you from in here.

Tarkine- How is he going with sleep and everything? Does he stay asleep once you've settled him on the boob?

Meg- How is J? Recovering well?

Rainforest- there 2.5 yrs between my 2, having the terrible 2's at moment.

Had a shocker night, Emily kept having screaming episodes and I have no idea why, wouldn't take anything dummy, breast or bottle, just wanted to scream then she wakes this morn as tho life is great, big smiles, laughing, eyes lit up, so go figure. Think I've had one half decent night sleep in last week. Since I've been topping up her feeds she has been alot better in the day and sleeping alot better, not so grizzly and fussy anymore.

It was awesome to see the gorgeous AJP & Laura again last night! AJP - you are dangerous in that bowling alley!

Miss J woke up 1 minute before I walked through the door last night at 11.20pm (she must have heard the train coming). She also woke at 4am and then at 7.30am so I am tired too. Oh well - it was fun and good to get out of the house after quarantine!

    Evening all

Busy weekend here, feeling a bit exhausted. Dinner at friend's house Fri night, DD slept in her pram, woke for a feed at about 10pm and was then a bit unsettled so off home. We had a wedding on Sat and so she was with grandma and grandpa all day and night. Had to take my breast pump to the reception - pumped in the bathroom in the bridal suite, LOL.

Had friends over for afternoon tea today - managed to bake some muffins as DD slept for two hours from 1pm DH and I were amazed!

She's been a bit unsettled tonight, asleep now, last feed about an hour ago. We'll see how long she sleeps for - she is still not doing long stretches at night. Last night she went 6hrs between feeds but woke after 2hrs and was unsettled for about an hour and a half, so I still only got two hours sleep each side of the feeds

I just don't know why she won't sleep for longer than 3hrs.

Nai, AJP, Laura, glad you had a good time last night and your bubs were well behaved in your absences!

Shell, I hear you on the shocker nights. Sigh. Glad the top ups are working for you!

Det - glad you're having a nice long weekend!

Off to bed, sorry for lack of personals.

ETA - can someone fill me in on the week 19 wonder week??

Shell - A wakes between 1-4 times a night, although it can take me up to 2.5 hrs to settle him before going to bed. I have to be very patient and wait for him to get zonked out before transferring him to the cot, otherwise I just have to start all over again - so I read very thick books. Last night he was down at 7.30pm and slept til 4.50am - tonight it was 10.30pm before I could settle him (started at 8pm) - everytime I went to put him down (after about 40minutes - he'd wake).

Still demand feeding but will ask teh MCHN nurse about this.

Sounds like you melbourne girls had a good time.

    Week 19
Bubs ability to understand the world around him becomes far more developed and a little more like our own.
Begins to undertand that they can reach out and grab a toy
    May have trouble sleeping
    maybe shy with strangers
    may demand more attention
    head may need more support
    much quicker to cry
may insist on your undivided attention - may always want to be with you
    may lose appetite
    sleeps poorly
    quieter, less vocal
    pronouced mood swings
    sucks more(thumbs)
    maybe listless
-that's my 2 minute look over the parts in the book about week 19

Hi girls, just a quick one, been a busy wekend so far and a busy day tomorrow.

SO glad you girls had a great time at the meet up. When DD is old enough I will have to fly down. Hopefully I will get to meet Kaz though at the Sydney meet up in a week or so.

It is good most of you are on FB as I get to hear and see more of your lives. Laura- cant wait to see photos. Sounds like there were lots of fun had by all. Glad you got away for the weekend.

I dont know why but I am feeling really down tonight. Maybe its just tiredness. I cant pinpoint what is wrong or how to make myself feel better so am going to get into bed soon.

Be back tomorrow night for personals xo

I must be the one person in the world that's not on FB! I was on it, but had issues with the whole personal information thing.

Having a rough patch at the moment. I'm sure I'll get thru it. won't be around much, don't want to bore anyone with the details - just to say if I have one more person tell me that they are going to do something and then not do it...

Hi everyone, sorry I've been such a slack poster. The only time I seem to check up on you all is when I'm breastfeeding and then it's too tricky to type!

Nai - sorry to hear about your swine flu quarantining. I hope you're all well now.

Alibaby - I felt the same this morning. Just so tired and flat and unmotivated to start the day. Feel a bit better now. Just the tediousness of endless housework is enough to flatten my mood.

OP and Tarkine - good luck getting those bubs to sleep tonight. Thanks for posting the week 19 info Tarkine. I think Posy is doing some of that though she's only 15 weeks this week (i think)

Wow - it's been fantastically rainy this arvo - the vegie patch is slurping up all that water. Otherwise pretty uneventful day. Will start on the chicken soup now.

    Take care all!

Well the one night I needed sleep desperately.....and we ended up with a SHOCKER!!! THe worst night we have ever had.

I burst into tears this morning as I was so tired my eyes hurt. She wouldnt settle, wouldnt feed, was smiling, wide awake, didnt want to be put down, wouldnt let me lie down with her or sit down with her. I was over it. After 2 hours at 4am I went and asked DP if he could have a turn settling her as I was exhausted and he just went no and rolled over. I was so friggen angry at him but was to tired to fight. I then made sure that he couldnt sleep. Finally got her off to sleap at 6am on me, on the lounge but she only slept for 50minutes, at 9am DP took over as I was in tears, I went and had a bath as I was so tired but felt yucky as I hadnt slept and knew the obly way to feel better was to have a soak. Then she didnt sleep again until 10:30am! SHe was so exhausted she was screaming. I was crying. DP had to go to work so I went to my dad's house and my step mum took DD for me as soon as I walked in the door and said go have a nap, (she had made up the spare bed). I actually fell asleep as soon as I lay down for 3 hours. Then she made a roast lunch for us and I felt so much better. She said to do that anytime I need a break. So sweet. I have DD in her cot now and she is asleep, just got to hope she stays there, ASLEEP, all night PLEASE!

If you made it through that...

    hey girls
well it is 3.45am and we have just finished paper work! My DH got 108 visits done in 3 days! That is HUGE!!!
I have only been able to give him a hand tonite as twins have been really sick and levi only slept 2 x 15 mins ALL DAY till 10pm
mind you he then woke for a feed at 12am and has been zzz ever since
he is happy when he is awake0 - just doesnt want to or need sleep- lol
this week is gonna be a LOOONG week
twins are still sick- been sick since frid and will definately be off tommorow and maybe even wednesday and then they have friday off for a curriculum day!
touch wood levi, DH and I have dodge what they have got as its NASTY!!!
    coughing, no appetite, fevers, etc
was debating whether to take them to doctors, but nothing that they can really give them and even if it is the dreaded piggy disease, we are isolating ourselves anyway.
Just have to watch DS1 breathing as his lungs are pretty bad and was telling me that it was hard to breathe, even after heaps of ventolin! GREAT!

time to go to bed i think
i am sure levi will stir for another feed as soon as i fall into dream land
    take care girls

I think it must be something in the air as the babies eem to be getting restless! My good sleeping baby has gone from once a night to being hard to settle and waking multiple times during the night for feeds

However, she has been chewing on everything, has a very rosy cheek and is doing some awful nappy action so I think there might be some teeth on the move perhaps..... I keep looking in her mouth but can't see anything yet.

Ali, RR & Tarkine I hope you are getting some rest.

Det - it does sound like piggy flu so good idea to keep the kidlets at home. Genevieve wasn't sick for long though so hopefully they will get better soon!

Jols - you get in to FB and add me

I've just added you on FB AJP, I was thinking at time who is this but figured it out from your girls names!

Nai- Thats how Emily has been, really biting down hard on my hand and red red cheeks but nothing sharp in there yet so who knows!

Det- Can I ask do you ever sleep?! My eyes would be popping out, don't think my brain could even function doing paperwork that late.

Ali- How is Ash has she settled down? Your step mum sounds great, fantastic that she can help out give you some sleep, sleep deprivation is the worst thing.

Tarkine- I hope you sort out whatever you are going thru, feel free to vent if yo need to get anything off your chest, we're all here to listen.

Mhami- the rain is great but bloody freezing today! Think I'll stay home all day!

OP- How are the nights going for you now? Settling?

Our nights been good and bad, 7pm bed then we have the 8:30 screams as I now call it, 3 nights in a row same time, then she sleeps restlessly on and off til she decides she will feed (cause she refuses to when she has the screams and refuses the dummy) then finally once she feeds goes to sleep and last 2 nights been doing 5 hours til next feed! record for her. So I'm getting a decent 4hr block consecutive sleep which has done wonders for me. My milk even increased, haven't had to top up yesterday or today so far.
