Well I've just caught up on all your posts - it sounds like Isabel has passed her bad sleeping patterns on to a few bubbas here! And I say passed it on because last night went like this:
Down at 7pm
Grizzled til about 7.30pm, with only one resettle from DH
Stirred at about 9.45pm, resettled by DH, then I fed her not long after that
Woke at 1.45am for a feed - no resettling in between
Woke at 7am for a feed - no resettling between 2am and 7am
Back to sleep til 8.30am
Played on the floor and ROLLED from back to front
Back down at 9am and slept til 11am!
So happy, we're at my parents right now and she is asleep in the portacot, went down with no real hassles, woo! So hoping we are onto something good. I really think wrapping her again is helping, it keeps her hands down and she's not knocking out the dummy. She spits it, but that doesn't seem to bother her as much.
And she rolled!!! What a champ!
We went really well at the 4 month check up as well, she is 5g off 7kg! The MCHN measured her head and commented "well she's had a big growth spurt!" So that might explain the bad sleeping patterns. She, like the O'Connell Centre, seemed to think that I'm doing everything right and just to persist. Looks like they might be right.
Thanks all for your comments. We've booked in for their day stay program and will see if we need the residential program. I can put my name down for a cancellation if I want. Will see how the next few days go and make a decision.
Shell - I've done some worse things than that and I'm only a first time mum!!!!
Rain - no good about the mastitis! I haven't had it. Glad it has cleared up for you.
Ali - happy birthday!!!! Hope you have had a good day and been spoiled rotten by DP, DD and everyone else.
Holly - I know what you mean about the "clothy" bum - Isabel is the same! I struggled to do up the snaps tonight on her 00 grosuit - might be time to up to single 0!
How did the solids talk go? I'm going to one soon. Isabel is showing no interest at all in solids so I'm going to wait a bit.
Hope you have a better night tonight with L and DP starts helping out a bit.
Nai, how is Miss J's cold??? Hope you have a better night tonight too!
Meg, I hope you've had a good day today!
Kaz, poor little Mr J, hope his tummy is ok. Must have been scary to find blood in the nappy.
Looking forward to meeting some of you tomorrow, hope everyone else is doing ok with these unsettled bubbas.
