I feel like worst mother in the world, Emily been screaming on and off all day, like really really upset, couldn't for the life of me work out why, wouldn't feed just so so upset.
Anyways then this arvo I noticed it was when I pulled or touched at her arm she would scream so I undressed her to look and she was just so much happier, I think some how her cardigan was too tight around arm/ shoulder and pulling. Made sense cause the screaming started this morn right when i was finishing dressing her. so for like 7 hrs she had this awful cardigan on. I am relieved its nothing more sinister cause I was getting so worried but just feel so guilty I put my baby thru that, seeing her so upset put me in tears. Thank god Df and mum were here today!
BBL for personals!
-
Aw Shell don't feel bad - at least you worked it out! Once I got a cotton thread from DD1's pants caught between her toes and she was screaming and I couldn't work out why - it was cutting the webbing between her toes. Another time I caught some skin in her MCN snap. It would have been soooo painful. I felt so bad but she did get over it
Holly - L sounds like he is doing really well with gaining weight.
RF - I haven't had mastitis but everyone who I know who has had it says it is like having the flu. I hope you are better now.
-
Hi all,
Well I've just caught up on all your posts - it sounds like Isabel has passed her bad sleeping patterns on to a few bubbas here! And I say passed it on because last night went like this:
Down at 7pm
Grizzled til about 7.30pm, with only one resettle from DH
Stirred at about 9.45pm, resettled by DH, then I fed her not long after that
Woke at 1.45am for a feed - no resettling in between
Woke at 7am for a feed - no resettling between 2am and 7am :dance::dance:
Back to sleep til 8.30am
Played on the floor and ROLLED from back to front
Back down at 9am and slept til 11am!:dance:
So happy, we're at my parents right now and she is asleep in the portacot, went down with no real hassles, woo! So hoping we are onto something good. I really think wrapping her again is helping, it keeps her hands down and she's not knocking out the dummy. She spits it, but that doesn't seem to bother her as much.
And she rolled!!! What a champ!
We went really well at the 4 month check up as well, she is 5g off 7kg! The MCHN measured her head and commented "well she's had a big growth spurt!" So that might explain the bad sleeping patterns. She, like the O'Connell Centre, seemed to think that I'm doing everything right and just to persist. Looks like they might be right.
Thanks all for your comments. We've booked in for their day stay program and will see if we need the residential program. I can put my name down for a cancellation if I want. Will see how the next few days go and make a decision.
Shell - I've done some worse things than that and I'm only a first time mum!!!!
Rain - no good about the mastitis! I haven't had it. Glad it has cleared up for you.
Ali - happy birthday!!!! Hope you have had a good day and been spoiled rotten by DP, DD and everyone else.
Holly - I know what you mean about the "clothy" bum - Isabel is the same! I struggled to do up the snaps tonight on her 00 grosuit - might be time to up to single 0!
How did the solids talk go? I'm going to one soon. Isabel is showing no interest at all in solids so I'm going to wait a bit.
Hope you have a better night tonight with L and DP starts helping out a bit.
Nai, how is Miss J's cold??? Hope you have a better night tonight too!
Meg, I hope you've had a good day today!
Kaz, poor little Mr J, hope his tummy is ok. Must have been scary to find blood in the nappy.
Looking forward to meeting some of you tomorrow, hope everyone else is doing ok with these unsettled bubbas.
-
So Melb girls, 11am tomor yeah? Where abouts? Just inside cause will be cold to wait out front.
OP- Big woohoo! Thats fantastic, maybe she has been so unsettled cause her brain trying to function new skills, like rolling, lets hope it continues.
Rainforest- I've heard mastitis can be so awful, can feel soooo unwell, glad you're on the improve.
Meg- how is E today? The dummy is great at times but when they won't take it or keep knocking it out you're lost for alternatives. Is her nose still blocked?
Holly- I wish things would improve for you, you are having such a hard time. Have you been able to get thru to the ENT ppl? I wish i had some words of wisdom to offer you.
Df got $153 fine today for checking screen of his mobile for messages, he lucky they just fine him for failure to have proper control of vehicle rather than using a mobile.
-
Yep - Shell I will be meeting Jols at Flinders St and walking there together.
OP - woohoo on the sleeping and growing. Sounds like everything is going really well.
We have our 4 month check Monday so I will be interested to compare. I think Miss J is a lot smaller than many of the bubs here. She is still in 000. My guess is she will be 5.8kg (lets see how close I am). She has been cranky all day except for when we were at playgroup when she was a little angel and lay on the floor laughing and rolling around. She lay on her belly with her arms and legs in the air kicking her legs. She is so desperate to move and be like the bigger kids
Tonight hasn't started well - she was put down at 7.30, refused all settling attempts until I put her on the bb at 8, woke at 8.45 screaming so put her on the bb again - currently having a cup of tea waiting for the next onslaught!
She is not feeding well during the day either - sucks for a few times, pulls off, looks around, sucks a few times and on and on it goes.
-
nai millie often does the same drives me batty!!
millie is 6.2kg sophie was 5.7 at eht same age!!
-
Hi All,
To all the Melbourne girls, enjoy your lunch, sorry I couldn't make it, i have an appointment with my DD. Will hopefully try to make it to the next one.
Lewis has been up since 6pm:rolleyes:
Only just settled, i had a friend over for dinner so I think he thought he should be in on the action.
Had a fairly good day, hoping for a good night!! Although I have been feeling tired all day not sure why getting the same amount of sleep as usual. Maybe it's all catching up.
Hope every one has a good night
-
Just popping in girls, im not around much at the moment... im not sure why.
Girls i hope you have a fantastic day tomorrow im really sorry i couldnt make it... it wouldnt be any frun travelling 3 hours with 2 sick babies :(
talk soon everyone xxx
-
hey girls im about to leave., have to 'attempt' to get a carpark at the train station, meet mum to drop sophie off etc... so see you all soon!
-
Have a great day today! Take photos. Wish I could be there.
Laura- hope Bella & Logan get better soon. Ash is sick with a cold. Have no idea where the little poppit got it from, but her cough is so cute. xo
-
Have fun Melby girls! Hopefully there will be another meet soon and we're feeling up to coming.
Rainforest, yeah I had mastitis at the beginning. Not fun! Hope you get well soon
Shell, you are not a bad mother! These things happen and I'm sure our bubba's forgive us at the next feed! Haven't heard back from ENT specialist...I've left a message, L's paed has left a message, and I've faxed a referral
Nai, L gets fussy during feeds sometimes too. Just small playful sucks, will stop half pull off, look around, etc. But if I take him off he's not happy!
OP, Isabel's a great weight! Glad you got into the day stay program. The solids talk yesterday went well. They say around 6 months to start solids is the norm but any time up to 8 months depending on your baby's interest is okay. It can take upto 15 attempts with one food to get your baby to eat it! We were given a list of some typical introductory foods and when was best to start them, and what allergy foods to avoid for a while, etc. Also told not to puree or use a blender but instead to mash with a fork so the food's not completely runny and smooth. Anyway, that's all I can recall for now!
Pinny-Mum, hope you had a good night!
Rainbow Raver, hope your babies get well soon
AJP, hope you get a park! Have a great day today :) I looked at the QLD meetup thread but the dates are when I will have uni exams :( Would have been nice to have a holiday!
AFM, not doing much today, DP is going to pick up L's hand and feet impressions that have been framed - can't wait to see them! L slept from about 10:30pm until 1:00am last night uninterrupted with clear breathing. I couldn't believe it! Still feel exhausted though lol.
Anyway, back later to catch up xox
ETA - missed your post Ali. Hope you had a great birthday! Poor Ash, hope it's only a mild cold and she recovers soon. Ikwym about the cute cough!
-
Hi all!! Sorry, haven't been on much. DH was home sick the last 2 days so I had 2 babies to look after!! Jeez, I was a lot sicker than him 2 wks ago and couldn't even take anything for it but at least I still managed to help out!! LOL, he gets a little cold and you'd think he was dying. pmsl.
Had a really bad night last night. Thought it was going to be good bc she slept for 4.5 hrs but then was awake for 2!!!!!! Then awake an hr later, and an hr after that!! Not cool. And I am sick of getting up for the day at 5am!!!!!!!!!
I hope she's not getting sick :( She was very cranky all day yesterday. And she keeps pulling on her ears, what's that about? I told the MCHN and she didn't seem to think it was an ear infection or anything.
Got her weighed yesterday and she's put on 700g in the last 4 wks, so pretty good. Getting to be a big girl. I think she weighed 6.54kg.
Ahhhhhhhh..........waking up again!! BBL!!
ETA- Oh Ali happy birthday for yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh and I just have to share this photo too cute!!
-
Heaven - aren't men the worst when they are sick? I hope he is better now so that you can get a break!
Det, OP, Shell, Meg, Mhami, AJP - it was awesome catching up with you all and meeting all the gorgeous bubbas!
-
Was great to see all melb girls, such big group I don't think I really got to talk to everyone there!
Heaven- I got an e-mail once for some ad about man colds so so funny but close to the truth! Hope she's not getting sick, so many virus's who knows. Might just be in funny mood like Emily is at night.
Holly- Those feet/ hand impressions will be great to have, bet hes grown heaps even since having them done. I bought a do it yourself kit when I had Ash but so hard to do yourself.
Laura- Hope your babies are feeling better nothing worse than sick kids, esp having 2 sick ones.
Ali- Poor Ash and her cold, is she going ok at night? Does it bother her much?
you know now I've met a few of you when I read your posts now I can see you in my head saying it.
-
Glad you girls had a good time.
Ash is okay. I dont think it is bothering her too much but she is sneezing quite a bit and I can hear her breathing is a bit croaky as well.
I have some dimetapp infant drops but havent given her any yet.
Have had the best couple of days. Last night DP got home and completely surprised me with a gorgeous eternity ring. White gold with 8 diamonds on the band. It is stunning. He spent way way way too much money as I have seen this ring at the jewellers! We had a bottle of champagne in bed last night and after one glass I was out to it! LOL! Doesnt take much anymore! Need to get the ring resized as it is a little too small and am worried it will get stuck on my finger.
We are still the same here with sleep. Maybe I should just get used to it and like you said Shell, they will eventually get better.
Holly- so glad you got a couple of hours sleep out of Leon.
BBS
-
Oh wow Ali, the ring sounds gorgeous! I love white gold, thats what my engagement ring is.
What a great surprise, my Df wouldn't think to do anything like that. Even my engagement ring was cause I said to him that he was going to propose lets go shopping. lol.
-
Hi all!
Shell, I'm the same - when I read the posts now I can see faces in my head :D
Was great to meet you guys this morning! I confess, I was a little nervous but you were all lovely!
Ali - WOW, sounds stunning!! You are one lucky girl :D Hope Ash continues to improve...
Nai - Miss J was pretty well behaved today! She's a cutie :D She does look a little smaller than Isabel, it'll be interesting to see how she goes on Monday. Isabel is 7kg. But they are all lightweights compared to Boof LOL
SJ - gorgeous photo!!! Might try some nudie photos with DD, you have inspired me!
Holly, sounds like you got a good little sleep out of Mr L, well done! Here's hoping you get another one tonight. Can you take some pics of the impressions?
Laura, hope your two are ok hun
Hi to everyone else!
-
ali hold off on the dimatapp! its not recommended for under 2 yr olds!!
ohhhhhhlucky girl getting a ring!!!!!!! im pestering for an eternity ring from DH!!
glad you had a great birthday!!
was awesome meeting you lovely melbourne ladies today!!! had a great day, was buggered this arvo though!!
-
I'm holding off perstering for eternity ring cause I want my trip to gold coast next year and ticket to Britney concert!
I was in tears earlier from exhaustion, just hit me this evening how tired and worn out I am. I start to dread the nights cause I don't know whats in store. She is fine up til her 1:00-1:30 feed then is unsettled. Who knows why. Friday night Df might have to sleep with her and just bring her to me for feeds so I can get some sleep tho I prolly wouldn't sleep cause I'd be too busy listening out at her still.
-
Shell, that sounds like a good idea to get your DF to help you get some sleep.
OP, yeah Miss J always behaves when she's in company. She likes to show off ;)
SJ, that's a great pic!
Ali, woohoo on the ring. Good to see DP come through with the goods when it counts :D
Miss J sounds like Ash. She is sneezing and snuffling and not feeding properly - driving me crazy.
-
awww shell  i too think its a great idea for DF to sleep with emily so you can get some sleep, you'll be surprised, probably once your asleep you wont hear her
-
Aww shell you poor thing...
My DH suggested he take DD down to Grandma and Grandpa's house (2 mins down the road) for the night because even if he slept right next to her, I'd still wake up first lol.
Maybe like AJP suggested once you're asleep you won't wake... you'd just have to make sure you went to sleep when she was nice and quiet!
AJP - I didn't get home til 5pm, I lunched with two friends til 2pm, then went wandering and Pumpkin Patch-ing with another friend til 3pm, then coffee with another friend til 4pm! I figure its a big effort getting into the city, might as well make the most of it!
-
Ali - wow!! the ring sounds wonderful.. sorry I missed your birthday.. hope u had a good one. I completely forgot about eternity rings - so outta the loop with that stuff - although I don't wear my wedding rings etc coz i don't like the feel of them on my fingers.. crazy I know.
How was the melbourne meet? (or have i forgotton something i read earlier on)... hang on what's my name again??
AFM - Pick me up off the floor, our pram arrived today!! I returned the loaner - they couldn't even give us the right colour!! and they had the nerve to say that the right colour would be hear next week - I've heard that since mid february!!
went to the mums and bubs session at the cinema - it was great! the movie sucked - The proposal, very much like 2 weeks notice but with Sandra B as the boss.
Got nothing to say about Alex - he's just doing what he always does - he slep through the movie on the boob and then had another 3-4hrs this afternoon/evening - I read so many books and watch so many movies, I won't know what to do when/if he gets out of this stage.. if I don't go with the flow, he doesn't sleep and then I get monster baby.
-
Jols- Thanks hun, Lucky I read the bottle first as well. I had it in the medicine cabinet as my sis got about 5 bottles of it as she is working on an advertising campaign for them. I have put Ashlyn sleeping on her side tonight as when she is on her back she seems to cough more. I have put her in roll bars. Thinking its going to be one of 'those' nights tonight. Poor little thing. How good was icecream tonight!!! ITs funny no matter how cold it is, I always still love yummy icecream.
Shell- Massive  to you. I was there the other day and it is awful. Sleep deprivation to me was worse than being sick. How is the formula going? Is it helping her sleep longer at night? I hope DF helps out tonight. You need a break.
Nai- You poor thing. Your family has had a rough trot with colds and the swine and everything. Hope J gets better soon. Glad you had a good time at the meet up.
Tarkine- PMSL about the pram! Sorry! I just cant believe they could stuff it up AGAIN! You have to laugh to stop from going crazy at them. Thanks for the heads up on the movies. I was going to see it next wek but might pass and wait for something better. That is great that Alex just slept on the boobie for the movie.
OP- glad you had a good time wondering the cty and catching up with friends. I think the day goes so quickly when I am out and about.
Heaven- I missed the pic earlier. Gracie is sooooooooo beautiful. You do a great job taking photos of her. Hope you have had a good day.
Raver- It is hard when the kids are sick. Have you got anyone to help you out. Please know we are here for you.
Det- How has your wek been? Are your kids back at school this week? Hopefully things are getting back to normal for you. Well as normal as they can get ;)
:hello: to everyone else. I cant see back any further.
I was actually thinking, I bet we are the bb group who chat the most. Looking at what thread number we are up to and how quickly we go through threads def shows we are a chaty bunch (which is good).Jols I think you should ask kel to do a prize for the group who talks the most ;)
-
Hey girls
all good here
had a ball catching up with the melb girls today- so nice to now know you IRL ! I put the photos i took on my facebook and set the privacy so that only my friends can see them. So if you want to see them, you have to be my friend lol.
I havent tagged anyone, but feel free to tag youselves or i can do it for you- just wasnt sure if you guys wanted your real names or user names used!
Nothing to report here- actaully got to bed early last nite at 1am! WHOOT! and maybe even get there early tonite as well lol.
twins are all well again and levi- well he is just a legend - he has been a little spewy yesterday and today but had his vacc on tues so maybe that is why. Mind you he has probably had like 6 little spews in those 2 days- so really nothing but hey he usually doesnt waste a drop lol
other than that , life is its usal hectic pace, my family is driving me nuts (my parents this time) and all is good!
mwah to everyone
-
Hi girls, how is everyone today?
Ali, the ring sounds gorgeous you lucky thing! I have one in yellow gold. Eternity rings are beautiful!
Tarkine, lol at the pram JUST arriving. Craziness!
Shell, ikwym about dreading the nights. I think I have severe anxiety about the whole sleep thing too. I hope it gets better for both of us.
Heaven, hope both your "babies" are feeling better!
OP, yeah I'll take some pics of the impressions! Not sure what's up with the gallery on here but I'll try and I'll add them to facebook as well. Girls if you have fb, add me: Holly McBride :)
Hi to nai, det, ajp, kaz, mhami and everyone else!
AFM, going out for dinner soon. DP's brother is down from Sydney so we are having dinner with him and DP's mum. DP's brother and his wife are expecting another bubba too! Just found out today. They have one lil princess already who took a really long time to conceive and they've been trying for almost 2 years to get this one, so soo happy for them. Another cousin for L!
Anyway, back later xox
-
Hi all,
Sounds like the meet up went well!
Ali- What a wondeful DH, I would love a eternity ring!!! Might have to start hinting.
Holly- I know how you feel about dreading the nights, I was doing that for a while whilst my oldest DD was waking in the midddle of the night and crying, Lewis was about 5 weeks old and it really did my head in. We ended up sleeping in the lounge room on a camp mattress for 4 weeks so that when she woke she could see us from her bedroom, it was the only way to keep her in her room. Sounds silly and I'm a bit embrassed to admit it but that's what we did so I would feel better about he nights!! I suppose you just have to do what makes it less stressful
Tarkine- I gather you've had your pram on order for a very long time if they lent you a pram!!!
Nai- Hope the snuffles pass quickly
OP- Sounds like you had a great afternnon, nothing like a bit of retail therapy and coffees with friends
Shell- Hopw you get some sleep tonight!! Have a glass wine might help you sleep;)
Hi to everyone else!!
Lewis had his immunisations yesterday afteroon, a bit grumpy today and keeps pouting his lips, so cute but so sad. He had a great sleep overnight but I do really think it's from the immunisations. We spent the afternoon out in the garden was lovely to get some fresh air.
-
Pinny-mum, don't be embarrassed - I sleep on the fold-out couch most nights because DP needs his sleep and gets up at 3am for work! I actually don't mind it...it's pretty comfy!
-
Hi all,
Just dropping in. I have only quicky read the posts, as went straight from our meet up lyest to MIL's house. Stayed overnight and went to the zooo today. I am soooooo tired. E was up for about 2 hours last night, although she is prob awake that much every night, just that i don't hear her as she is in her own room.
It was so great to meet everyone. We must do it again really soon.
Told DH that I am going to QLD, so at least he has heaps of notice, so count me in!
Hoping she behaves tonight as DH on night shift and I am tired!
-
woohoo Meg, we'll be able to book soon. Think we have 5 definates, couple maybes.
Pinny- I know I love that lip drop and feel bad for liking it but it is so cute! Emily gets it if loud noise and looks at me with lip then sees my smile and gets her own big smile so all worth it.
Holly- Enjoy dinner, so nice to be able to get out. Hope L behaves. Now I've seen your pics on facebook I'll be looking around down centre road or places if I see you. lol.
Det- that rota virus can make them bit spewy I think. I don't think I've asked what business you and hubby do that involves all the paperwork.
Ali- Ash's cough improved? I know from myself sleeping on my back makes it so much worse. Maybe put eucalyptus on a hanky or something at end of her cot? I always use when I have a cold. At least at end cot she can't put in her mouth.
Tarkine- Oh that sucks, I really wanted to see that movie, doubt I'll get to movies anyways! Wow on pram I thought A would be teenager before it arrived!
well Emily must've known I was upset cause she behaved last night, fed 10pm, then 2:30, woke twice in between but dummy in straight back to sleep (the joys of her being next to me meant I was straight back too!) then after that 2:30 feed took little while to settle but then slept til 7. So yay! But won't get too excited cause she only ever does 1-3 good nights then follows by a week of bad ones!
-
Shell - How did she go last night?
Holly - i hope you hada nice dinner out. it might help youfeel a bit better.
Taking J to the indoor playcentre this arvo. It is freezing, and he is going stir crazy bored.
-
hi there ladies
someone in here reminded me a couple of weeks back about the rainforest jumperoo, (Ii *think* it was det?)well we unboxed ds1's one last night and jimmy absolutely loves it. he's in there right now bopping away, it's great!
megie- those playcentres are fantastic aren't they? ds1 goes crazy there!
shell- iywym about not getting too excited about sleep :) just when i think jimmy's doing really well, we have a bad day/night
holly-i'll have to add you on fb
isn't it fantastic when couples who are ttc for a long time fall pg, you must be so happy for them
tarkine-what pram did you get?
i'm thinking of buying a cheap twin stroller off ebay just to take into shops etc. as i have a mountain buggy double but it's just too big and not practical to lug in and out of the car all the time.i'm just such a money waster when it comes to baby stuff though! can't help myself
hi to everyone else, hope we all get good sleeps tonight lol
-
Hi girls,
Just a quick post to let you know I'm still around, just having a really busy week with visitors and there's been a fair bit going on. Got BIL and SIL staying this weekend and my mum was here earlier in the week.
Ali - I'm so sorry I missed your birthday hun  I even knew when it was too and I still didn't get in here. I feel like such a bad friend! :( Hope you had an awesome day! The eternity ring sounds beautiful! You're such a darl to send me something - I'm going nuts thinking about what it could be. Bad day yesterday though and didn't get to the p.o. Hopefully on Monday.
I'm jealous you all got to meet up. I wish I wasn't so far from Melbourne. I still need to chat to DP about the gold coast but I'm really keen to go!!!
-
hey girls
just a quicke as suppose to be doing a million things at the moment, instead i am wasting time of the puter lol
Boof started soilds today- he devoured every mouthful!
took him 3 goes at timing the spoon to go in his mouth at the right time and from then on his mouth was open and he was demanding more after each spoonful. We made up 3 teaspoons of rice cereal with 60 mls of b/milk and he ate the whole lot!
even got the grunts and head going from side to side wanting more and it quicker lol
will put some photos up on fbook later of it! He looked so cute sitting up in his highchair with his bib on eating!
We used the rafferty's brand of rice cereal and it was heaps nicer than the heinz or the farax- their range is ace - totoally organic etc and aussie- you get them from the supermarket. My DH has been to their manufacturing plant for work as well, and they are top notch as well. good to have inside info sometimes lol
lol rainforest on the juper-roo- boof is going off tap in it at the moment - they are ACE
highly recommend any type of thing like that to you all- a safe place that you put bub where they can jump around and cannot harm themselves!
Shel- glad miss E behaved herself- hope she did the same last nite as well
I better get back into it- got MG at my house tues and the house is a bomb- there is crap everywhere . Thinking of just getting the leaf blower and blowing the house out with that lol. I start in one room and by the time i get it done, the rest of the house has been trashed even more lol
mwah to all
back to it
-
det- ROFL at the leafblower!
yes agree that the jumperoo has been a great purchase, i remember ds1 used to go absolutely off tap in it too!
that's great to hear that about rafferty's. i used their stuff heaps with ds1. i can't stand farex!
-
Rainforest- I bought the adventure buggy with the toddler seat for my 2 so easy to get out and about with, also bought it from e-bay, (gotta love e-bay!)
Kaz- Yes come along to the gold coast! Hope the visitors are giving you time off from baby duties and giving you a break.
Det- woohoo on the solids. I'll keep that in mind bout the raffertys brand, I remember Ash didn't like the farex, so I'll try that out this time around. I'll prolly start offering at about 5 months.
Not much here, another unsettled night after the 2am feed, don't know what prob is. she just doesn't want to sleep and either grizzles or chat and squeals loudly but its not a happy chatting.
Df has taken Ash down local footy and Emily is asleep for the moment. woohoo quiet time! Be good to get her out, so hard with this weather and babies, hard to get her out and burning off energy.
-
meg - how did the indoor play go?
Det - solids already.. how did you know bubs was ready?
Rainforest - been waiting forever for the beema Q (5mths). SIL has a phil and teds one, where the baby is under the toddler if that makes sense? - can't remember the name. the beema is great for one baby and the option is a skateboard for a toddler, for them to stand on - but since we are only having one baby it's not a biggie for us.
Kaz - sounds like ur place is crazy busy at the mo :grouphug:
Shell - bummer about the unsettled night.
Anyone recommend any good books to read?
AFM - Got a free raincover with my pram (can you hear the eyes rolling from there?).....still the same old pattern here - wake at 7-8am, then booby fest at about 10-12, usually try and get out of the house, then booby fest when I get back 2-5 or 9pm and then Alex goes to bed! Still wont' go down into his cot during the day.
-
Det - great story about Boof's first encounter with solids!
Shell - hope Ash enjoys the footy and that Emily does more happy chatting soon.
Ali - happy belated birthday from me too!
MM - hope you and J enjoyed the play centre.
Holly - how is your weekend going?
Well Posy hadn't done a proper poo for six weeks until this morning - it was like someone had emptied a bowl of soup into her nappy. Somehow the disposable managed to contain it all - but the clean-up job took almost half an hour. She started laughing as soon as I opened the nappy! Cheeky little minx.
I'm splitting my brain 3 ways at the moment - caring for Posy, writing/editing my book, and selling our house and buying another. It's going to be a busy July!
Take care all.
xx
-
Hi girls,
Madeleine, I didn't know you were selling your house...did I miss something?! Where are you moving to? Lol at Posy's poo! 6 weeks is a long time to hold off!
Det, wow solids already! Glad it went well. Boof really loves his food!
Tarkine, it must be good to have a pattern/routine going on. Oh wow, a free raincover - they should have refunded you half the price of the pram for waiting so long!
Shell, hope tonight is a good night. Glad you got some time to yourself today. I never would have guessed your real name! I thought it was Michelle lol. I'll keep an eye out for you too ;)
Megie, how did the play centre go?
Rainforest, you've just reminded me to try out the jolly jumper! Hope L likes it. Saw your pics on fb too, L & J are just BEAUTIFUL! Gorgeous eyes and gorgeous hair. You guys make good looking babies!
Kaz, sounds like a busy week. Hope everyone is helping out.
AFM, my laptop needs repairing - something wrong with the cooling system, so the warning message told me! So using my sister's at the moment. Not sure if I'll get on much in the next few days but I'll try!
Don't know if I mentioned, but we got an appointment for L to see the ENT specialist tomorrow at 5pm at the Children's. I'm so nervous and feel sick with worry :( I think they were be probing around and sticking things up his nose/down his throat and I just can't bear to think about it. He will be so upset! Anyway, better go, DP is hovering around with Leon waiting for me to finish so I can take him so he can go to bed  But I love him (he is reading this!) lol.
Night all, sleepy vibes for all the bubbas xox

Holly- Let us know how it goes, maybe write down what you want to ask or say cause if you're anything like me you'll walk out thinking oh why didn't I ask this or this! I hope its not too upsetting for you, think sometimes these sorta things are more upsetting for mums!
mhami- god you are busy! I struggle just to get thru daily things let alone anything extra. I don't envy you at all with the house business, hopefully goes smoothly. What are you writing on?
Tarkine- I don't think I could get Ash to sleep in her cot in the day til she was like 6 months old. Day sleeps can be a pain, some days altho I'd like the break I think its easier now she doesn't have a day sleep.
Having Emily in bed and Ash out this arvo was funny, I didn't know what to do with myself!
Question for everyone, is anyones bubs besides my own still only having 40min naps or starting to go longer? I'm thinking maybe I should be trying harder to resettle her into a 2nd cycle.
