Yay our baby buddies group has begun!!!
Welcome Smithy and congrats on the birth of Charlie!!!
My firstborn- a daughter Zoe Marie Teresa was born on the 19th of Jan via C section.
I'm sure the other ladies will join us soon
I am with Smithy
Our little girl was born on January 24th at 11.47 pm (due 12th Feb) 3.3kgs
First born Natual birth - needed some help on the way out as she wasnt breathing - No pain killers
Hope to meet some lovely ladies in here where we can talk about our little ones
I'd love to join this group too. We had our fourth little boy, Hugh, join our family on 24th January. I had irregular contractions on and off since Friday night but hadn't dilated at all by lunchtime on 24th. Got to the hospital at 4pm and was fully dilated and waters broke at 4:15 and he arrived at 4:31. Guess when he's ready there's no stopping him!!
Look forward to supporting you ladies and having a chat - provided the kids give me a chance
Hi girls! My baby girl Vaeda Arkady, born 21st January - shes our first. I did plan to go natural but ended up having an induction which was followed by an epidural, which was then followed by a caesar when the heart monitor showed that Vaeda was in distress. I'm not really disappointed at all about how it turned out though - was so amazing to finally hold my *daughter* in my arms and once that happened I didn't care about anything else.
Vaeda is going wonderfully and is gaining weight well and doing all the things she should be. I on the other hand have been having a hard time dealing with not getting any sleep! I thought that the sleepless nights I had during pregnancy were going to acclimatise me to it all, but it really didn't. Feeling like a zombie! Not looking forward to when my husband goes back to work next week, thats for sure.
Congrats to all the other girls here on the birth of their little bundles of joy!
Hi Smithy, Colestar & Vin ... nice to see you girls have transitioned over to this thread from our pregnancy buddies group!
to everyone else ... my name is Karen and I gave birth to my third child, Luka Bodhi on the 28th of January via c section. Luka had to have some help getting going as well, and has become some what of a pin cushion with some further complications ... but I am happy to report that he is starting to go really well, jaundice levels are dropping and he is putting on weight .. yay!
Look forward to getting to know you all and to continue the friendships I made with Smithy, Colestar and Vin.
Have been having some trouble with breastfeeding lately, Vaeda was doing it like a pro for a week but now it's gone back to hurting again. Had a LC come out yesterday, she basically assured me I was doing everything textbook, the problem is that Vaeda just isn't opening her mouth wide enough. It was wide enough before but since my milk has come in I have gone up two cup sizes and I just don't fit in her mouth anymore!! (or any of my bras) LC showed me how to feed lying down, which is a bit better, and says that Vaeda is still learning so I just need to stick it out for another week or so while my boobs calm down and Vaeda learns/grows, then everything will magically sort itself out. Hope she's right!! Luckily time is flying for me at the moment so I won't have to wait very long have another LC appointment next week.
