Nearly 6 months now!! wow time is going so fast!

Freya is doing well. She has ( as of about a week & 1/2 ago) figured she can roll from back to belly. Shes been going belly to back since about 3 months. So now she can roll, shes evrywhere! just rolls over and over across the room trying to follow the dogs. its so cute
She is having mashed vegies morning and night and loves it. I have given her potato, pumkin, brocolli, sweet potato, carrot, peach, pear, avacado, banana & she loves munching on a milk arrow root biscuit (makes such a mess)...but i am unsure what to give her next?
Dosent really sleep thru the night, but is easily resettled, but on the plus side she goes from 6pm to 8am without a feed, so its not like i have to get up to feed her makes up for it during the day but having a bottle every 3 hours or so. So shes having 4 x 200mls and 2 serves of solids per day, does this sound okay to everyone?
Daytime sleeps are still a big issue, she will only do 1/2 hour sleeps asmuch as i try to get her to go longer. She does 3 of these a day, and by the arvo shes just horribly tired any advice?
All in all shes so much better then what she was, lots more happy & settled and seems to be past the whole reflux thing now.

Hope everyone else & bubs are doing well!!!

OH wow congratulations Alicia! No wonder you say your world has been turned upside down. I hope everything else is OK. Daytona sounds like she is going great guns.

Hi to everyone else. I am loving the weather in Sydney at the moment, its very cold but the sun is still shining which means so long as we rug up we can still go out for a walk, stops both Mum and bub going stir crazy I find.

Well Maddie has finally started sleeping through the night. Well I call it sleeping through the night anyway. She goes to bed anywhere between 6pm - 7pm, we wake her at 10pm for a feed and nappy change, back down at 11pm and then we dont go into her again until 6am- 7am the next morning. She will come into a light sleep sometime between 4am and 5am and will sometimes make a loud cry out noise or just grizzle for a few minutes (max has been 10mins) and then she goes back to sleep. I am so loving not getting out of bed in the night, especially now it is getting quite chilly, perfect timing me thinks. We did have to get rid of the dummy tho and we used the controlled crying method to do this which was a bit heartbreaking the first night when she cried for 2 hours but the next night was only 1 hour, then the 3rd night half an hour, by the 4th I dont think she even remembered what a dummy is. Now we just put her down to bed, say goodnight and walk out....she may grizzle for about 10mins, but most of the time will just go straight to sleep.

My next challenge is getting her to have her day time naps in her cot....she has been having them in her pusher in her room, I think she likes the darkness and cosiness in there during the day cause it is hard to block out all light coming in. In the pusher she will sleep for 3hrs or more if I let her but in the cot we are getting mixed times, sometimes an hour, sometimes two and yesterday only 20mins then she was hysterical screaming so I had to go in and get her up, I put her back down to sleep in her pusher and she slept for another 2 hours in there. I am quite happy with her sleeping in the pusher but she is getting a bit big for it and people keep telling me she will need to sleep in a cot when she goes to childcare so might as well get her used to it now. Does anyone have any thoughts/advice on this?

Well speak of the the little munchkin she has just woken up so better run, not bad, we got nearly 2 hrs today

Wow... seems everyone is self settling! Jackson likes his boobie before bed time. Probably my fault ><; It's a bit like a dummy I think. Thankfully tho he sleeps thru. Usually from about 8 to 6ish but it varies sometimes!

Still haven't started solids yet. I tried giving him some EBM on a spoon a couple of days ago but he just gagged and pulled a god awful face XD So maybe a couple of more weeks yet. Not in a hurry! The less I have to cart around with me the better!

He can still only roll from belly to back but he's soooo close going from back to belly it's not even funny. And my god, he can talk.

Everything is going pretty smooth sailing around here
