Tara - well done for getting Noah back on the breast...it must be so exciting...I remember when I finally got Avaleigh back on the breast...so are you feeding, topping up and expressing? What formula are you using...I might have to change Avaleigh so interested in the formula others are using. They grow so quickly! Noah is a cutie pie, I have also added you to FB. I tried to say it was me but it wouldn't send.

Sally - I am using a mix but am nearly full time, Avaleigh doesn't fit in to the OSFM that I bought so she is in prefolds and small AIO. Try a pre rinse and a little vinegar for the nappies at each wash and whenever you can get the MCN outside in the sun (which apparently removes stains) Avaleigh has to use natural products because she reacts to everything...although one natural/organic thing we dont use that doesn't cause problems is 'Mustela, Dermo-Cleansing' I also use cloth wipes and make my own bum wash otherwise we have issues if we use a lot of disposable wipes.

Baby09 - wow in to some 00 and mostly 000, sounds like you have a healthy bubba there.

curlygirl - I hope your bubba is better after her shots.

AFM - Avaleigh was weighed last week and she finally broke 4kg!!!!! Her osteo appt went well, she has another one booked for tomorrow. She had been favouring her right side quite a bit, only laying on that side, after the osteo she is laying on both sides just fine! I am off to my first MG today should be interesting...Will I better go because Avaleigh is awake again...she has been up ever 30 mins to 1 hour since 8am....not sure what the problem is????

Sally - i'm also using gaia for grace and love it!

afm, still trying to get grace to accept bottle. she switched between breast and bottle just find until 2 weeks a go suddenly she refuses bottle. have been trying to get dh feeding her while i'm hiding in the other part of the house - no luck so far she just played with the nipple without sucking it. will keep trying, hope she'll take it eventually.

The dramas with Tayla are still rolling in. the losec is helping the silent reflux, but since she started it (and before but it seems to be worse now) she has had a major problem with wind. during the night she wakes up every hour or two crying. She is not hungry because she falls asleep as soon as she is in my arms, but i sit on the couch with her and she does full body flinches and farts constantly. She does like 20-30 over the night (that is not normal is it?) I have changed her formula to novalac colic which at first made her constipated (again) but now that has cleared and her poo is softer and more normal looking than it has been since she started formula (sorry for tmi but this has been a big issue for her), so i think the switch was a good idea.

I also think she is cutting a tooth up the top, front right. there is a white corner coming through.

She is just an unsettled and unhappy bub (other than her 20 or so mins of happy times after each feed when she is very smiley). I can't work out if it is her bowels, teeth or reflux that is bothering her.

If you have any advice on any i would be very grateful.

A friend mentioned a naturopath that she uses for her son who specialises in chn, so i have booked in to see her on Monday, hopefully she can give Tayla a bit of relief. I feel so bad for her and i am getting very exhausted.

Poor Tayla Just a question/suggestion.... have you got the head end of her cot/bassinet raised? I have put a pillow under Tristan's head end and he sleeps so much better now.

Hi all,

GM: Noah is getting mostly bm but getting top ups of formula in the afternoon/evening when I have no milk. He has Nan, and we find it to be really good. He copes pretty well with it which is good. I'm going to go to the GP tomorrow and talk to her about getting something to increase my milk supply as poor Noah is so unsettled in the afternoon and evening cause he's so hungry. Morning's aren't too bad but night's are terrible. Poor kiddo.

Apart from that things are going pretty well. Jeremy had a great fathers day. We bought him jocks and socks for his first fathers day and he loved it .

Greenmumma- Spencer is on Heinz Formula. I found S26 was a bit tough on his tummy and Heinz has been great so far.

Sally- What is the diaper decisions nappy hunt? Sorry if I sound lost, but i have no idea and would be interested in knowing what it's about.

Julz- I hope Tayla is feeling better.

Tara- Good to hear Noah is going well also.

Spencer is 12 weeks Tuesday and he is going well. Still sleeping through the night and putting on weight. I haven't put him into his cot yet, I think I will suffer separation anxiety! Anyone have any ideas on how i can make it easier on myself?

hope you all had a great weekend - we FINALLY bought a wii & wii fit (we must be one of the few who didnt have one!) so I've been busy trying to lose the pregnancy weight I put on. I've lost about 10kg so far but it just stopped coming off about 4 weeks ago

DH loved the book I gave him for fathers day and I also managed to keep Amelia's hand still long enough to trace an outline on the card for him

I started doing the nappy hunt but we reached our internet limit mid last week and I've been side tracked with the wii so I haven't done a lot

re: formula, Amelia was on the s26 but seemed to get stomach pains so I switched her to Nan and she is fine. She only tops up after some feeds.

The past two nights she has been going to sleep around 8/8.30 and not waking til 6 or 7, so she's dropped a feed - is this normal? She's now getting 5 feeds a day...

veebee - i tried putting Amelia in the cot during the day first and then built up to doing it overnight, of course the first night I spent listening to the monitor! good luck and im sure you'll be fine :-)

Veebee, The nappy hunt is an online scavenger (sp?) hunt where you search around WAHM sites looking for an icon, you go into the draw to win prizes too It's awesome to see what the WAHM's have been up to. I've spent a heap of money hehe.

I have GREAT NEWS!! Tristan ROLLED! back to front He got to his side, layed there for a few seconds and then continued to his front. He got his arm stuck, but it wont be long until he gets the hang of it.

So proud of him, he's 11 weeks!! He's at the same developmental level that Brendan was at 7-8+ months!!

Tristan is now in 00 for length and 000 for 2pce sets! He's growing so much!! Brendan was in the same sizes at 10 months! I'm amazed at the difference between the two!

Well not much else has happened around here... I'm about to head down town to collect my mail, and hopefully some parcels!

Hi all

Sally, sounds like Tristan is growing well. We're wearing anything from 000-0's at the moment, how can brands be so different in size?

Nothing too exciting happpening here, well except for yesterday. Sophie had her first proper laugh. She absolutely cracked up for about 5 mins watching the dogs playing under the hose. So glad both DH and I were both there to hear it.

She's also being pretty consistant with 6 hours sleeps at night, although the other night she went from 6.45pm to 3am - big fan of that!

The only 'bad' thing at the moment, is with people offering Sophie food. I have had my SIL put gravy and potato off the tip of her finger into Sophie's mouth and last night my dad did the same with ice cream. I just think it's really rude, expecially to do it without asking - which even if they did, I would say definately not. We have dinner at my parents every Sunday, so i think I'm going to have to lay down the law when everyone is there this Sunday.

How is everyone? I'm really enjoying the nice weather we have at the moment!

Sounds like our bubbies are all doing really well - Amelia has been babbling for a couple of weeks now, I love it how she tries to say something and will give me a huge grin when I respond!

I also had her weighed today at mother's group and she is now 5.55kg - she's put on 785g in 4 weeks

Hi girls,

Noah is going so well. He's been in 00 all in ones for weeks and has started to wear mostly 00 clothes. He can still get into his 000 tops but they are getting to short and almost tight on him I was looking at him in his cot last night and he reaches the middle of his cot! I can't believe how long he's gotten. I'm also going to try giving him a little bit of farex with his evening feed to see if it helps him sleep longer. He's been waking up every 2-3 hours during the night and he's been getting so tired and is stubborn and doesn't sleep much during the day. Anyhoo, we'll see how we go.

I'm glad to hear that everyone's bubba's are going so well.

Julz....Blake had the same problem...he too was silent reflux and he was very windy always farting.....and night seem to be worse....i went to my doctor who prescribed "zantax" which is another medication for reflux...he was alot better on it than before but had the same wind complaints. So i went to the chemitst and i brought "Infants Friend" its all natural and given before and after his feeds he was a happier baby. It seems to grab the wind bubbles and he burped heaps more....less farts anyway lol. Hes now bottle feed and we use "Infacol" and that does the same thing...less farty and i dont even have to pat him on his back for wind...he has about 60mls then sits up and burps then feeds again. The night time is alot better....maybe bathing her before bedtime...and massage her belly...clockwise motion also heaps with the wind. I hope she improves for you

Tara, i hope Noah's sleeping gets better. Did you try farex? How did it go?

Spencer is now 3 months and 2 days old. He laughs all the time and smiles whenever anyone talks to him. He is just precious.
At the moment he is sleeping from 10pm til 7.30am (lucky I think). Sometimes we're having to wake him for a bottle. Does anyone know why he can go without a bottle for 6 hours during the day and not cry. It's driving me crazy. He just puts his thumb in his mouth and that pacifies him. I don't know what to do. He just won't take the bottle sometimes. I read something somewhere about speaking to a Dr about it. When I told the MCHN, she told me he'd eat if he was hungry. I don't know whether a second opinion is required or not.

Anyway, other than Spencer being a pain with his bottles, everything is good. I got a part time job on weekends (atm) so I can still be with the kids during the week.

baby, woohoo for the weight gain

veebee, Tristan is the same, sleeps all night and some days can sleep 6-8 hours!! Then other days he feeds all day. It's completely normal I look at it like this... I dont eat the same amount of food at the same time each and every day, nor do I go to sleep and wake at the same time every day.

Everything is good as far as Tristan is concerned. Still fully BF

How was everyone's weekend? We had Amelia's baptism on Sunday and thankfully the weather turned out nice! She was also really well behaved in the church (slept until she got baptised and was happy to just look around) and turned on the charm later

She was full of smiles yesterday (she slept for 11 hours overnight and is on track to do the same again today!) and Ithink she tried to laugh as well!

it's been quiet in here.... how is everyone going?
