Thanks Rachel!
WooHoo on a tooth!! The frog leaping sounds cute hehe
Hi Sally,
Yay for the weight gain and crawling! And kneeling too? Wow, that's quick. I wish you both all the best for whatever treatment Tristan will need for the legs. Hope there's nothing serious with the breathing too.
Grace has cut her first tooth!! And the second one is on the way! No wonder she's been grumpy and biting everything. Grace has been frog leaping for a while now. She hasn't yet figured out how to move hands alternately. But she surely moves around, we have to keep things out of her way.
Her 8 months check is not for another 3 weeks, but I would guess she's around 8kg. She's getting heavier!
Hope all's well with everyone.
Rachel
Thanks Rachel!
WooHoo on a tooth!! The frog leaping sounds cute hehe
Hey Everyone
Sally :yeahthat: (Sorry, I couldn't think to say it without being word for word)
Rachel Frog leaping does sound cute, especially if Grace has that "I'm so proud of myself" look while she's doing it! And yay for teeth!
As for us, we're finally seeing some teeth here too! Sophie has a white line at the front of her gum, looks like she's cutting them both at the same time. She's happy to show them off - until you try to get a photo of them, then it's tongue poking!
In the last week she's started letting go of things when standing and hovering for a few seconds - it was a bit of an 'omg, was not expecting that' moment.
It's strange to think that 1st birthday's aren't too far away!![]()
Hey all,
Sally, I'm so glad that Tristan is gaining weight and crawling!!! YAY!!! As for the other things, I'mthat things are ok and they can determine the best course of action to help Tristan.
Noah has got three teeth now and the fourth one is on it's way through. He's on all fours and rocking back and forth but it's still easier for him to roll places. What can u expect when he's got such a fat body to move roundBut he's so cute and going "bubbubbub" all the time.
On the other side, I'm going to start weaning him tomorrow. He's been a nightmare to feed for the last couple of days. Pulling on and off and crying when I try to make him feed. And then I have to give him a bottle at night time cause he's too hungry to go to sleep. Shouldn't take too long though cause he's only been having two breastfeeds a day and two bottle feeds cause he's at daycare.
Hope everyone else is going well![]()
Sally - great news about Tristan crawling and kneeling and a bigfor the weight gain!!! I also hope he get's everything he needs for his legs and that the breathing is nothing serious.
Rachel - woo-hoo on Grace's tooth! I hope her next one comes soon and you can both have a break from teething! Frog leaping - how cute!!
Erin - another woo-hoo for teeth! DD sounds a lot like Sophie - it took forever to get a pic of her teeth! DD turns 1 in 4 months - it doesn't feel like 8 months have passed already!
Tara - Noah is doing well with his teeth too! DD has been acting up when I try to BF her too so now we are down to 2 day and either 2 or 3 bottles as well. I'm not sure when I will fully wean her but I can see it wont be too far away! How are you weaning?
Thanks for the thoughts and wishes![]()
Glad to hear everyone else is doing well!!
How's the babbling side of things going? Tristan hasn't really started to babble yet and the CHN was a little concerned lol...
I've just posted a mummy brag here: https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...rag-ahead.html
Tristan is now crawling, sitting, kneeling and STANDING against furniture!!
We had his physio appointment and it went very well, she is concerned about his legs/feet but they aren't really that bad for now we have some exercises and we go back in a month for a follow-up appointment.
His breathing settled down (thank goodness) so we are just keeping an eye on him.
Hoping this winter will be a nice one for us
How is everyone else going?
well done Tristan!!!
Thought I should pop back in and see how everyone is.
Leah is crawling fast but not sitting up yet. I will see what the MCHN says next time we see her. No teeth yet either but that doesn't bother meShe has a cold atm too, poor bubba
Woohoo Tristan! That's good news about his breathing too.
Nothing really exciting to report here. Sophie's bottom 2 teeth finally pushed through at the same time, but that's about all the action we've seen lately.
Ooh I can't wait for winter! I'm hoping for a freakishly cold one this year. Strangely enough, when you say that to everyone they think you're mad lol.
LMAO I think you're mad! I can't stand the cold (or the really hot either) A nice 27 degrees year round would be awesome!
Yay for teeth! We are still gummy grins here![]()
Ali woohoo for crawling too![]()
Hi girls,
YAY for all the teeth and crawling that's going on.
Sally, I'm' glad that Tristan is going so well. He's such a little trooper.
Noah is going pretty well. He's crawling now and keeping me on my toes. He's also had a cold and he's started waking in the night and only going back to sleep in my arms or on my chest. It's driving me crazy. The last 2 nights we've tried to not let him do nthat, but it's taken an hour to get him back to sleep. I'm really not sure what to do or what's causing it. So we're all very tired here at the moment!
As for weaning, it's gone well. I pretty much just stopped feeding. Put him on the ease the pressure when I needed to and he's adjusted pretty well, as have my boobs! It's kinda nice actually to be able to just give him his bottle when we're out although I do miss feeding him. I think he just got too independant. He really likes to hold onto his own bottle and look after himself.
Anyway, hoping for a cool winter too! Love the cooler months and can't wait really to be able to sleep without dying of the heat![]()
Sally: woo hoo Tristan!! Sounds like he is progressing really wellAnd awesome news about his breathing!!
ali: yay for crawling! I hope Leah's cold get's better too.
els: it is such a relief when the teeth finally come through isn't it? We got the bottom 2 then the top 2 shortly after, I'm hoping we can have a break for a little bit but we'll see!
Tara: DD is self-weaning at the moment, she only breastfeeds in the morning and before bed. Since I've been FF and BF from the start she has been holding her own bottle for awhile now - it makes it so much easier!
AFM: DD has started trying to pull herself up and loves to climb me - for a little body she sure is strong! We are starting to think about what to do for DD's birthday - we will either have 2 parties (one for friends the other for family) or have a big one at a local park. I'm looking forward to a cool winter too, nothing beats snuggling under a warm doona although DD doesn't let me sleep in anymore, 6am starts every morning for me! She is still going to sleep between 8 and 8.30 every night so Im not complaining!
How is everyone?
Tristan is now in Speech Therapy, he is not even trying to babble and they are a little concerned about that. He's just tagging along into Brendan's sessions for now. I'm not sure what difference, if any, it will make because we are already doing things with him from about 6 months now!
I'm going to get him weighed this week, hopefully he can crack 7kg![]()
Although I won't be surprised if he doesn't as he's had a cold for nearly two weeks.
Take Care
xx
Hi girls,
We are going well. Noah is growing and crawling! Driving me crazy, chasing him round the house all the time! Ah well, he's sleeping really well so that's good!
I have started thinking about his first birthday. Anyone had any thoughts as to what they might do? Can't really have it in a park cause it's too cold
Nooooooooooooo Dont mention Birthdays Tara!!! Let Leah stay a baby
Her first tooth is about to break through. I can feel it right there but there is still a little bit stopping it from being super sharp. Maybe later today or tomorrow.
Im a bit worried DH wont recognise her when he gets home or that she wont go to him. Though the bigger girls will be climbing all over himI guess we will find out in 10 days when he is here for Easter!! I cant wait for this stupid course to be over!!
I better go do some housework I suppose![]()
OMG Do not talk about first birthdays! LOL Time has gone fast enough!
Tristan's first birthday will depends highly on what is happening. Last year they had finished seeding, so hopefully this year they have too. We will probably just have a BBQ dinner or something with the family.
Still havent got around to getting an appointment to get Tristan weighed lol.
hey long time since i have been in the bub area! glad to see all bubs growing nice and healthy. tobias is doing well hes just over 9 months and 11kgs! also fitting in size onsies lol.
number 3 is also on the way 3 kids in 3 years and 3 c sections in 3 years!
have to have an oblation because bleeding poblem still around but thats after bubs and means no more children![]()
tobias has reflux god it can be hard changing him quite often and soaking himself as well as us, but doc's want to give him a chance cause it doesnt bother him or hurt him he just goes *sick* and smiles at you. sometimes we have to wonder if its on purpose.
his older brother lincoln loves his brother not hardly nasty have been once or twice he was but we put him in time out so he's learning.
you wouldnt think tobias has reflux he is so huge went to a first birthday party most kids was his age or older and he was the biggest and most grubby lol
Wow Ashie Tobias is huge! Brendan is 3 and 12 kg. Tristan is only 6.5kg. lol. Congratulations on your pregnancy tooHope it all goes smoothly for you xx
Tobias and the reflux sound very much like Brendan was. Rarely was he in pain from it he just spewed... a lot. It settled down by about 13-14 months old. Do you find he refluxes solids as well? Brendan used to do that, very frustrating! Anyway I hope it clears up sooner rather than later.
