Hey :)
Its been a scary few days here... Tristan stopped breathing yesterday morning and had another episode tonight. I'll be taking him to the hospital tomorrow for a check.
But otherwise he's good, sleeping roughly 10 hours overnight!!
The GDUNH is finally finished, so I'll have more time now, hehe.
Hope everyone is well.

Wow...scary indeed Sally! Let us know how Tristan goes at his checkup, hopefully you get a good explantion as to why it happened.

Hi ladies,
Have just been catching up on everyone's news. Sally I hope that Tristan is ok now.
We have been pretty good although have had a rough week as a family. Noah has been fantastic but our little one week old niece died last weekend. We had the funeral on Friday and I have never been to a worse funeral. The minister did a good job but the funeral was just so hard and so sad. It was all made worse by the fact that her death was completely preventable. She had holes in her heart that no-one diagnosed while she was in hospital. Then after my sister in law went home the midwives never came to see her. Then the day she died my sister in law had rung them to ask their advice cause Kylar had been having trouble breathing, was very pale and had a temp of 35.2 and they told her that was normal and to ring back in a few hours if she wasn't any better. IN the mean time Kylar stopped breathing and died. Such a tragedy.
Anyway, apart from that Noah is going well. Now weigning in at 7.86 kilos. He's in 0 jumpsuits and is wearing his first pair of shoes. So cute :D
I hope that everyone is going well.

Sally - I hope Tristan is ok and you find out the cause.
Tara - I am so sorry to hear about your niece, I cant imagine what it would be like to go through something like that  on a brighter note Noah is doing really well!
AFM not a lot going on here, Amelia slept 12 hours last night and has dropped her last feed so is having 4 per day (breast & formula top-ups), hopefully that is normal - she isn't whinging for food so I'm guessing she is ok!
Hope everyone is doing well!
-
Oh Tara :( I'm so sorry, what a horrible thing to have happen :( Glad to hear Noah is doing well though.
Tristan is getting better, he is sick, which is causing flem to build up in his throat and lungs. When he refluxes his milk it cant clear properly causing the pausing in breathing. It happens after most feeds and theres not alot I can do but watch him carefully after feeding.
Thanks guys :)

How is everyone? Everything is going well here, I think Amelia is teething, she is having all the symptoms and I just hope it doesn't take too long for the first ones to pop up! We haven't had to give her any panadol or bonjela yet, cuddles seem to be enough at the moment! She is 4 months next Thursday - is it just me or is time flying buy? Some days I look at the clock and cant remember what I've been doing all day!
I've managed to convince DH that we should go to the PBC expo in Melb on the weekend, has anyone been before?
Hope you are all well!
-
Hey :) Time is going very quickly. Tristan is 4 months on Monday, he has his needles this Friday
I loved the PBC expo!! Had so much fun... I went with one of my mummy friends :D
Everything is well here, Tristan is finally better, but still has a rattle in his chest. He's sleeping well at night but not so good during the day... hopefully he'll start again soon....
Take Care xxx

How is everyone??
Had Tristan weighed on friday and he is now 4980 grams and 60cms long. Brendan was 4230 grams and 52.5cms at the same age.
He's 4 months old today! It's gone too quick!
Not alot happening around here...
-
Nothing too exciting happening here, Amelia is 4 months old on Thursday and getting her needles on Friday, as well as being weighed etc. No teeth have come yet but she is still drooling a lot and has all the other symptoms. How long does it normally take for teeth to appear? I think this has been happening for about a month now....
She has started grabbing onto things and loves playing with her hands - the latest thing is shoving her fist in her mouth and sucking on her fingers.
Hope everyone is going well!
-
Tristan is doing that too!! Loves to suck on his hands, he is also teething... drool monster and a bit sooky... I have an amber teething necklace for him which helps when it's on!
If Brendan is any indication Tristan will teeth for months, Brendan started at 4 months and his first tooth appeared at 10 months. BUT each child is different so who knows?
-
wow 6 months of teething before a tooth appeared?! I hope Amelia doesnt take that long! Ive read about the amber necklaces, might have to buy one!
-
Yeah I wish I'd heard of them before!! My friend makes them with a magnetic clasp... brilliant!
-
we had our 4 month MCHN check up this morning - Amelia is now 6.51kg and 64 cm long. The nurse doesnt think she's teething as her gums dont seem mature enough....I dont understand why she is drooling so much, pulling on her ears or crying and generally displaying all other symptoms? i'm taking her to the dr for her immunisations this afternoon so will check that she doesnt have an ear infection or something else.
-
Wow shes huge :D
WRT teething, the teeth can move in the gums before making an appearance. So therefore they CAN teeth early on and not have teeth come through for a while.... But it cant hurt to get her checked over :)
-
the doctor checked her ears and said they were fine so I think she is teething, it's the only thing that makes sense :-)
-
-
Yeah it is a relief - just wish these teeth would hurry up and pop out!
Hope you all had a good weekend, I got majorly spoilt by DH - he took me out for dinner Saturday night while my mum babysat and then bought me diamond earrings yesterday as a belated birthday/1 year wedding anniversary/birth of DD present. I've told him he doesnt need to buy me anything for at least the next year!!
The weather here is supposed to be sunny for the week so we will be trying to fit in as many walks as possible
-
Oh wow, NICE!
Your ticker has scared me... the time is going too quick and I dont want to think about first birthday's!
We had a good weekend :) SIL came home from Melb on Sun and has taken Brendan until Wed, so I'm sorting out the house and going to wash/clean out the car for my weekend away this weekend. It's so quiet and my house has stayed clean! lol...
Have to get Tristan weighed again soonish, to make sure he is gaining weight. He is now in 000 for 2pce sets and 00 for onsies! He's so long :D
