Oh Belle - poo to the IL's! You're baby may be new, but he knows quite well when he's hungry. And I sympathise with the full sore BB's when the babe sleeps for long stints. I wet through two singlets in 2 hours this morning because Jack had a long sleep, and then a short/ineffective feed. Breastfed babies are often a bit lighter on than formula babies, so unless he goes backwards in his weight (or the nurse tells you otherwise), just keep up the good work. Xx

    Hi Ladies!!

I'm so sorry I haven't been on here or FB to keep in touch. I'm still having issues trying to get well and now suffering my 3rd infection the doc says I have a good 6-24 months of this until my surgical haemotoma dissipates. Thank goodness Eadie has such a peaceful nature or I may be handling all of this much worse than I am.

I've had a chance to look at all your bub pics on FB today...what cuties! I was going to respond individually to messages etc , but given my head still isn't quite with it, I thought it best to stick to here for now and hope you'll understand my lack of personals.

Eadie has finally started to sleep 10-1-5.30 (after 3 weeks of waking every 2 hrs day and night to feed for an hr or more!) I'm still using 7th gens and had hoped to be on cloth nappies by now. I've reached a point where all of my expectations are out the window, and given my injuries I figure I will move over once I can manage a bit better.

Was someone having child health nurse issues? Me too! We became non-friends once she found out that I am putting Eadie onto a 5 yr homeopathic infectious disease program instead of immunising her straight away. Mentioning I wanted to separate her immunisations made the nurses claws come out even further. Then to top it off, she despised my method of tummy/climbing up feeding with Eadie. Even though a lactation consultant suggested this method and it has worked a treat, it wasn't conventional enough and I should have worked harder to undo the confusion caused by the numerous midwives that mishandled Eadie at the hospital, and 'strongly direct' her to feed sideways across my chest instead. Whatever works I say! I hadn't planned to co-sleep either but I need rest!!

I want to share something fabulous though - my friend is training to be a doula and she made me some breastfeeding cookies - HOLY CRAP!!! Even when just chewing these gems my milk is projectiling down into my chest. These babies work!!

My little miss is awake, but promise to come back on here and post the recipe for you all. Seriously, growth spurting clustery-feeds will be a thing of the past! They are a must!

I hope everyone is going well and babies are flourishing.

    Love to you all...

    Olivia xo
