Hi everyone, i've been pretty quite lately and haven't really had a chance to catch up on all the posts sorry
P is doing well, feeding, playing, sleeping quite well and very alert little bub - has been from the moment he was born but it looking more intently at you now when you talk to him. He has rolled over a few times from his belly to his back, and gets really cranky with himself when he can't do it! Funny to watch but frustrating too! He has also been determined to roll from his back to belly but hasn't quite mastered that one yet. Can't really leave him anywhere by himself cos you can't be sure he'll still be there!
Well last night was my hen's night, getting married in 4weeks!! Had an awesome time and lots of laughs - especially at my sister walking across the road like a chicken, evening stopping to peck at the ground!! Absolutely funny, with a pub full of people, restaurants and a street full of people stopping what they were doing to watch. Gotta love her!
I've been expressing and had enough bottles to get him through the afternoon, night and today, but 12hrs of not being with a little feeding machine my boobs became boulders again! Which meant anytime someone hugged me I was in agony. I managed to express some part way through the night but it didn't relieve much of the discomfort. Tried to express when I got home (4am!!) but it was a mission impossible and my right nipple didn't look good. So I have to ask if anyone has any advice for the wedding day? I will try and feed bub around 1pm then won't be able to express until we get to our accommodation for the night around 11pm. My dress doesn't exactly enable easy access to express through the night. Should I feed and express before getting dressed and completely drain both boobs? (I'll also post this in the breastfeeding section)
Well I'm off to have dinner while P's asleep.
    Take care x

Hi Belle - great to hear from you! I am so glad you had a wonderful hens night and how exciting that your wedding is so soon. About the whole wedding day breast feeding thing.........are you sure there is no way at all you will be able to express or give a BF at some point during the day? I know it is a massive day and a very very busy one but I am really worried that you will be in so much discomfort that you won't enjoy the day and there is likely to be alot of hugging going on!

Another concern I have for you is mastitis but I am paranoid about it since I had it and felt like I was dying. I wouldn't be totally emptying both breasts prior to getting in the dress unless Parker is already taking both breasts and emptying them at a normal feed. But seriously, I am still learning about all this stuff, maybe someone else will be able to offer you more and better advice.

hi again ladies, i'm sorry i'm so rude and have lacked personals, but i'll try everything in my power to do some next week once we are more settled. we are on the final leg of our move, (having moved 3 times since kristians arrival) so this time next week i will be relaxing whilst dp is unpacking all our stuff in our new house lol. kristian is doing really well, still doesn't like floor time and likes to be carried, but at his last check up he'd put on 700 grams in 11 days.

but a huge wow on belle's mr p rolling over already, thats one impressive bubba, he's going to be crawling and walking in no time!

sorry for the brief post, but i'll definitely be able to post a bit more next week so be prepared ;p

Just popping in quickly to WOO HOO that Elijah rolled over yesterday at playgroup! He also enjoyed his tummy time for the first time. Considering that was only the 3rd time he'd been on his tummy his head control was awesome, he was looking around everywhere!

My dress laces up at the back, so I could express/feed through the evening but it would require someone to undo me and do me back up, plus then i'd have both boobs out... wouldn't concern me so much, but probably not a good look on your wedding day.
He has been feeding both sides at the moment and draining them, or at least it feels that way! Yesterday he fed soo often that I think my boobs didn't have time to replenish before he wanted more. I gave him a bottle of EBM to give them a chance of building back their supply. I have drained them completely once before and I felt normal (expressing after he'd finished feeding) - this was when I was still getting quite full and at the recommendation of consultant.
I am paranoid about mastitis as well because of the engorgement I suffered in hospital, and a couple of blocked ducts I've had since, so I will be doing whatever I can to avoid it.

Klee - hope the last leg of moving goes quickly for you and you can sit back and relax with Kristian. Wow 700g in 11 days!! P hasn't put on that much in total yet (although I did forget our 6-8week check up today at the clinic - whoops!!)

Mel - go Elijah!! Parker loves tummy time, although it doesn't stay tummy time for very long anymore if he can help it

Well I have my 6week check up tomorrow with my OB and hopefully everything is all good. Will make mention to her that my AD meds have been upped again as I was losing it for a while there but thankfully it seems to have settled. Other than that, it is really only a mention that I have had a light bleed the last week and half. *warning TMI* It hasn't been heavy enough for a period, and my post-partum bleed had stopped, but when I started expressing I got a lot more cramping and a red/purple tinge discharge.
My right boob in particular gets shooting pains through it after P has had a feed on it. I'm not too sure what's going on, but I think his attachment has got a bit slack recently and he is only nipple feeding on that side. Could that be causing the pain does anyone know?
DP finishes up his old job tonight and starts at a new pit on Monday, so yay we get 5 days together. Hopefully the weather will be nice and we can take P for a walk around the lake or the foreshore.
Well I should get some sleep before the early morning feed around 4.30am.

Everyone's pretty quiet at the moment... enjoying bubba snuggles I hope!

P pretty much rolls onto his back now when we have tummy time - 1min today before he was rolled over - well it was nice for him to be a little bubba for a few weeks
Went shopping and spent another $200 on him (clothes + bits and pieces), after spending $150 last week (toys - Christmas and now)! Good thing that baby bonus is coming through LOL however we are setting up a bank account in his name and I am going to transfer the money to that account... little man will be richer than mummy in no time!

Well I'm off to bed to get some rest - bub + home + wedding plans + whatever else comes up that needs to be done = exhaustion

Hey Belle - only just read your other post about your shooting pain. I've been looking into thrush infections lately (possible Jack has is?? Maybe not - I change my mind every day!), and that pain you describe can be a symptom. Check out the Royal Womens Hospital page: Thrush in Lactation I get a burning pain about 10 or so minutes after I feed/express - but that can happen in women that have over supply or strong let down too. Who knows?!

That's also really awesome about Parker rolling! He's about 3 weeks older than Jack, and I can't see him rolling yet. And even better about the account. I convinced DH that we transfer $40 a month into an account for Jack. It'll probably be used to give Jack a sibling when we're ready ($$IVF), but I think it's important. I'm just using my old ING Direct account. I think the interest is around 5% still.

oh - and we're all quiet because we've jumped ship over to Facebook. I can honestly say, I'm rarely back on BB because I just don't have the time. Look me up - search for 'MagicGeo'.

I am sorry I haven't been in here much, I usually check FB 1st, lol...it's an addiction!! and I didn't have my laptop over the weekend so have been catching up on everything I missed.

Lukey is 7.5wks today!!! wow, where did that time go?? lots and lots of smiles and goo's here, he's just too precious!!! I am enjoying him and the interaction between the 3 boys alot! although yesterday was a bad day for me, just moody and cranky, but today I feel wonderful, although the sleep I got last night helped!! Lukey slept for 8hrs straight and then a few more hours after, I was soooo happy!!

all our posts are gone Poo bum.

Well just letting ya'll know that I haven't removed any of you, I've disabled my account due to some real nasty BB members ... wont be permanent, just until they grow up and move on, and my family keep their bloody noses out of it all too. Grr ...

Cara I am thinking of you and hoping you are well. Hope someone can pass that on for me. She's in my thoughts daily.

Sarah thank you so much for your support the other day, you were the only one.

Hope you can post in here a little bit so I don't feel like I am missing it all. Maybe I'll just make up a pseudo account for our BB group haha

Hi Mel, I was wondering where you had gotten to! I checked FB on my iphone and there were no updates from you so I hoped all was okay. It's a shame you had to go to the extent of disabling your account
