OMG, your posts are making me giggle especially about the poo explosions (mum had to deal with one when I went out for an hour today to the shops, poor mum!!!) and peeing on the face thing! He did it the other day and was really shocked and surprised where it came from, your willy you silly!! hahaha.
teresa, thanks hun. I'm hoping when he's a few weeks old, he'll be turning his head from side to side. ATM he really favours the right!
b, thanks hun, I keep reminding myself it will get better once he hits the 8 week mark!! The paeditrician told me yesterday to encourage him to sleep on the left side of his head more and to generally 'look' to his left side as he really favours the right ATM. Aparently it's good to have the balance right.
jellymaker, good points hun!! I generally do the same, check the obvious and then it's mostly wind that gets him really irrtated. I went to the chemist today and the lady there told me to put him on an 'original' formula rather thatn the 'gold' variety as they are too heavy for newborns. So I got the S-26 original (I was on the kericare gold newborn). She also told me to give him tiny amounts of boiled water cooled to room temperature, apparently it's good for constipation/wind.
inSom, big hugs, we've all been there, hey?
Hello to everyone else out there!
I've bought a vibrating boucer today, he was in it for about 20 minutes watching the footy with daddy and then he started to whinge again so we put him in his bassinette and so far so good. He is not due for another feed until 11.30, but I'll give him another feed at 11 and hopefully he'll sleep longer than the 3 hours! I also bought this musical thingie that displays these shapes on the ceiling, so far he likes that. Every bit helps!!!!
Not really b, I try to but today I went to the shops and by the time I came back he was ready for a feed, and then DF's kids came over for tea. When I don't do any trips to the shops or have any visitors, I try to lie down for even half an hour. Now that I have DF for 4 days over Easter, I plan to get him to help out a lot more so I can at least catch up on SOME sleep! We'll see I really can't imagine having a toddler as well as a newborn... I take my hat off to you hun!!!
