Yeah, its comfort for Jesse too. Which is making it a bit harder for me to refuse coz it was my way of stopping tantrums & getting him to sleep when he was refusing & stuff.
I couldn't feed any longer it was too painful & the expectations that now I'm pregnant I have to stop just got too much. It was bad enough before I fell pg. I only had one person say that I may as well just keep going now. I have friends here who are supportive too & wouldn't say anything either way, its the family that was getting too much.

This time though, he didn't protest as much, so even though he wasn't completely ready, he was more ready & more accepting than he was the last 2 times I tried to wean. If he asks to drink it now, its usually just to stir me up, lol. Most of the time.

yeah, i understand it being hard to stop. he used to fall asleep easier while feeding and sometimes would ask. but lately he seems to be better falling asleep without the boob, and steve put him to bed yest with no problems.
so hopefully he wont be boob dependent anymore. my ob advised it might be better to stop feeding now.
well, they are getting too sensitive and all of his teeth really hurt!

hope things are ok on your personal life front.. xoxoxx

Mj Has started to selp wean. it was only before bed here too, but we moved it to the lounge room and then went to the bed room for stoies then a wee and put a nappy on then into bed.
Last Friday she told me that it wasnt working and had to suck quite a bit to start the flow (she didnt have a feed the night before as she was with Mum) She has also only been feeding from the left side for at least 5-6 months.
Over the past week she has refused a feed, just going off to her bedroom when it was offered and grabbing her books out.
So it has been nearly a week, i have offered every night verbally, but she has refused, part of it was that she didnt want to go to bed i think. It will be interesting to see what she does tonight and over the weekend.
Glad that she has done it this way instead of me stopping her. My aim was 2 years, so we have made it

Trina - MJ had an obsession with Elmo for several months, she would ask to watch it EVERY day, she carried her elmo toy and just talked about him continually. Eventually i decided that it wasnt such a bad thing for her to have some down time in the afternoon, so i would put it on for her when i would cook dinner. She ended up watching and playing at the same time, but would wander in and out and would end up helping me cook most nights anyway.
She has stoped asking so much now, i guess it was just a favourite thing to do at the time... no solution really, but i guess it wasnt an issue to have the TV on for 45 minutes so she grew out of it, if she had to ask all the time and only rarely got to watch, maybe it would have taken longer? dunno

Looking forward to the long weekend, i am hoping that DH doesnt have to work much, yesterday he worked 8am-4am totally stupid,m he is over it, so am i and everyone misses him.
We cant sell his business soon enough imo!

Elmo, lol. Jesse loves him too & has a Cookie monster toy that comes everywhere with us. His only real obsession though is motorbikes.
He will sit & watch motorcross for hours! Would love to take him to Crusty Deamons in Coffs, but doubt we'll have the money for it.

yeap, SJ - we made it to 2 years too. cant believe it!!

yeah, it's the same, Lakshman says he wants to watch "Whooweee" Roary but after a while he gets bored and goes and plays his toys. we record it on our PVR so it's in 10 min shows. that way when it ends, depending how many we let him watch, normally abt 2 or 3 (Roary or Thomas) and if he doesnt stop watching and go play. We wait till the end of the recording and say "roary's gone to bed, he's tired from all the driving around"

Hey Prama a huge congrats for making it to 2 years, if someone would have told you that you would make it here in your first few weeks i am not sure if you would have believed it. You should be so proud of yourself, you went through so much to get here... everyone else's BF achievement to get this far is also fantatic, but you did it so tough in the begining, so many people would have given up, but you kept going!
    Well done

Whats a PVR? i think you have told me before but i forget!

sammie - i still remember that email you sent me at the very start, that gave me a lot of strength. it meant a lot to me. i couldnt have done it with you all believing in me.
i really hope this time around it's a bit easier.

PVR - is personal video recorder. Austar's Mystar and Foxtel's IQ boxes allow you to record programs into their boxes. We have an Austar Mystar, only cos I work for them and I get the services and the box for free..

Jazz is Dora, Thomas & ITNG obsessed.
I've just bought most of the supplies for her party (and boy will I be in trouble for the amount I spent). Her cake is a mix of pink vanilla cupcakes and chocolate thomas cupcakes. We'll play "pin the horn on the unicorn" which is a Dora themed game and I've got stuff for treasure hunt. I also found some cute animal shaped plates so I got all turtle ones for the kids. Also got some party hats and of course the party bags. So much for me saying to Matt "It wont cost much coz it's only afternoon tea" I've spent about $100! (oops) And I was planning to get a bit more too.

We're just having a BBQ at the park for Jesse. Can't afford anything more.
I'm making him a cake, but will try to get an elmo or cookie monster picture to go on top.

    park sounds great!
we had a small one too at steve's mums. we decided not to have a party every year, just some birthdays. we think a birthday should be a novelty and we dont want him to expect a party every year. he also had a celebration at day care with all his friends so that would have been fun.
i should put up the pic of the car cake steve's mum and i made

    Glad everything is ok Prama.
    Trina, are you ok?

Jazz had a great party today and the best part of all, she crashed at 6:45pm instead of her normal 7:30 bedtime!
