WooHoooooooooo! Wonderful! Now will have to keep an eye out for your PA so we can all celebrate properly!
Jazz is being a naughty girl today. She was meant to be down for her nap at 12:30. It's now 3:30 and she hasn't had a sleep yet. She's tired but refusing to nap. I'm annoyed
:cheer: :cheer: :cheer:
Yaaay!
Yeah we ahd a bit of trouble with that yesterday due to DLS... i just read with her for longer than usual but tried to give the same ques all day long.
Hopefully tonight will be better.
http://forums.bellybelly.com.au/foru...re-i-come.html :)
Yayyyyyyyyyy congrats honey I tried to reply on the other thread but my stupid puter didn't want to post it grrrr I really hope you get your dream labour this time xoxoxo
Thats right! VBAC time! Have faith!! I do for you :)
thanks guys... gunna need all the VBAC good vibes and support... already it is something that i am thinking about loads and loads...
To make matters worse, Nina is away in Indo for two weeks, slap bang in the time that i am away... i am due day 7 of her 14 day holiday, so i wont have her for support - unless i am late that is.
I have started to look for OBs that are supportve of VBAC's, cant go birthing centre due to c/s and public admission i run the risk of having an anto VBAC dr when i am labouring...
jsut so many limited options... at least i know what not to do this time :)
Soooo ... ummmmm.... i have joined a belly buddies group - totally feel like i am cheating on you all lol :) I wonder if i will ever love them as much as i love you all????
Im feeling great, boobs are bigger - MJ is grumpy (wondering if she is getting my hormones in the milk?) no MS - though i didnt have it first time around...
Not sure if any of you saw my status on FB the other day... so funny MJ tried to wee out of her belly button - she insisted on standing up next to the toilet and grabbed her belly and tried to wee... just like Daddy - hilarious, we had to get daddy and show her that wee didnt come out of his belly button hahahahaha
I saw that status SJ. That's funny.
Jazz is really not ready for TT. I sit her on the toilet before her bath some days. She doesn't show any signs of being uncomfortable when she's done a poo, doesn't show any signs of needing to do a wee or a poo. Doesn't even say the words.
The other day while I was doing a wee she came up and had a really good look at the wee coming out. The look on her face was so cute. She did say "Wha Dat?" so I explained that mummy was doing a wee in the toilet instead of in a nappy coz mummy's a big girl.
She has done a poo on the toilet. I let her have a look afterwards and watch as I flushed it away and told her to say bye bye to the poo. She didn't. She just did her surprised "ooOOOooo"
That's ok. She'll be ready when she's ready. I just want to get her used to sitting on the toilet for now and she can do her business when she's ready.
I do get a little sad when I read about how your kids are showing signs and wonder if something is wrong with Jazz, but then I read in other places and hear from other parents that their kids didn't start TT until between 2-3 years old so I don't feel left behind. I think you girls who are TT now are doing a great job though!
nope not at all Danni, We introduced the toilet/potty to MJ when she could sit up - part of the elimination communication method, thats why she recognises it and talks about it so much.
She spends most of her days out of nappies but we still have accidents, its just she now knows that when she wees she gets wet and she doesnt like to poo in knickers.
Its def not something that you can do while working full tie anyway, and is hard for me as i am wofrking part time, but Mum continues with what i do, so it is a bit easier.
It doesnt mean that she will be toilet trained earlier, though i think that she probably will be by 2... its just a different journey and a different method. Dont worry about it
Danni both my girls were around 2. I think Bri was a bit older.
Jaz was out of night nappies at 3 & 4 months, Bri at 4 & 6 months. It varies so much depending on the child. Jaz wet the bed often til she was 5, Bri's only done it 2 or 3 times in the last 3 or so months.
I'm starting with Jesse, but its easier with a boy I think. First of all, you have a visual....a little boy who needs to wee fills up, lol. Girls don't. I'm just getting him to go outside, or into the shower til he wee's. Twice he has made himself do it, but he doesn't get the sensation of feeling to wee yet.
Its actually something in their brain that just kicks in one day & starts working. Every child is different. A friends DD was night & day trained by 2.
SJ, your milk supply might be dropping? Maybe MJ's not too impressed??
Skye, dont think the supply is dropping, just different iykwim - must be full of hormones, and i guess as the colostrum kicks in again it will change again.
Danni re the toileting, MJ use to just sit on the toilet, i knew when she usually did a wee - like 15-30 mins aftyer food, so would sit her on the potty then, if she did something we told her and gave her a clap etc etc, if nothing was done, it was no big deal.
Now she understands all about it and can 'let go' of her wee if she has any in her bladder when she is on the toilet. the thing that she cant do, is hold on, if she has to go, she has to go. That is something that she has to learn to do and, buy 'wetting' herself, she understands when and where she is weeing and hopefully will develope the control.
So what you are doing with Jazz, by sitting her on the toilet before bath, is introducing her to the idea of her weeing on the toilet.
My baby so clever!!
Laying in bed last night, he started farting, lol. Started to concentrate, then said 'poo'!
We got up, went in & took off the nappy, he hadn't done anything yet, & then tried to find somewhere he was comfortable enough to poo... The hard part.
Won't sit on the toilet, too big. Not too sure about sitting on the potty. He did some on the floor of the shower, then nothing. I think he held it coz he wasn't sure where it should go. lol.
I just put the 3 of them in the shower with the potty & told the girls to sit on it & play games & hopefully get him to do it too, so he feels ok with it. He's getting so clever!!
Thats great Skye!
So nice when they are not pooing in nappies, espec when they are MCN's!!!
We have a toilet seat for MJ, she prefers this to the potty, but might be harder with a boy - think you need one with a sheild as otherwise if he wee's at the same time it goes everywhere!
We only have a toilet seat insert for Jazz. I haven't got a potty. I don't want to get a potty unless I have to. I figure that toilet training is a way to not have anything to clean up...a potty is something to clean up. I've been rather slack with having Jazz sit on the toilet. It's hard when working full-time. She's not ready yet anyway. She doesn't even say Poo. She watches intently now when Matt & I go to the toilet though. I was doing a wee the other day and had to keep pushing her out of the way because she was trying to stick her head between my legs and watch. I said to her "what's mummy doing?" and she said "weeee"
She watches Matt and he hates it because there's so much chance of her sticking toys in the loo, and she pushes him while he's standing up. I might get him to either shut the door or sit down to pee for a while. She's also tried to touch him while he's weeing and that's obviously quite bad.
I found a long lost relative on FB. An uncle who has been estranged from our family for over 25 years. I don't know the full story - in fact, I hardly know anything at all. I'm not sure how to tell my mum (uncle is one of her brothers). Also not sure how to tell my nan & pop (the parents). One of my cousin's has been speaking with the uncle as well. She told her mum who said that it's fine as long as he doesn't have contact with the little kids (not sure what happened there, my cousin said my aunty would tell her). Also, this aunty said she doesn't want anything to do with him.
I'm not sure what to do. Anytime he's brought up, everyone seems to clam up and give very little info. I want to know the full story from both sides so I can make my own decision about keeping in contact with him or not.
Danni the bit about keeping him away from little kids is a bit sus......... I would find out asap before you go there last thing you need is a paedephile around your little girl sorry just my opinion. Surely they would tell you if it was dangerous to be around him tho.
Yeah, I'll have to find that one out. I don't know why my aunty would just say why she said that. My cousin has a son - if there's a problem then I think she has the right to know. It might also just be because he's HIV+ (I don't think I mentioned that).
I live in SA and he lives in NSW so that's ok. We're only communicating via FB, no contact details have been exchanged, nor are they likely to be for a very long time.
I got a slow cooker yesterday. I hope dinner tastes nice tonight. I turned it on at 8am just before I left for work.
I have a slow cooker it is awesome i have a few great recipes if you want any
Hey Danni, you dont have to buy an expensive potty - MJ's is an $8 Big W potty - works just fine...
Today, im so proud, i was cooking and i heard her playing with it (she often sits doll doll on it to do 'wee' any way it went suspiciously quiet and so i investigated.
She had taken her leggins off, sat on the potty, done a poo and then taken it to the toilet and emptied it!!! there was poo everywhere, but it was such a big effort and obviously things are clicking for her.
Trina - you seriously need to update your ticker!!!!! How are things with you now anyway???
i dont have a slow cooker - always thought about it, but never actually looked into it - maybe for next winter.
Mum and Dad are away at the moment, making the day care situation hard, DH car doesnt take a car seat (new one coming in 3 weeks will thou) so i have to take her to day care at 6.30 and pick her up after work - makes for a really long day for her.
Im exhausted as i am having to do extra bits and the pg tiredness has kicked in now - was alsee on the couch at 8.15 last night!!!!
Go MJ! Thats so cute!!
I think the main problem Jesse has with the potty is actually that splash guard thing. None of my kids have liked it coz they found it hard getting on & off. Neither of the girls ever bothered with a potty, but I've always had one JIC. Just to make it easier for them really.
Hoping if we keep get Jesse to sit on it while playing, he might feel more comfortable to actually do something on it iykwim.
I got a slow cooker about 8 months ago. I love it! Put my roasts in in the morning & they are perfect that night. No idea yet how to do soups & stuff though. Makes a good casserole.
Danni your Uncle sounds to me like someone to avoid. My mum had nothing to do with her father. He wasn't a paedophile, but did some pretty screwed up things. I met him once, even though he lived in the same small town as us for about 5 years. I was only about 3. Never saw or heard from him again. I remember that, but don't remember him. Mum told me the things he did. In front of the 3 kids. Not right. I hope you find out :)
Hope all is good with you Trina :D
Whose backside was it you were slamming on the way out?
Love to all!!
Yes Please!!!
Last nights dinner turned out well IMO. I think I should have added a bit more liquid though, it was sticking to the bottom. I tell you what though, the recipe didn't call for extra water but I added a cup of water just in case anyway. Matt ate it but didn't love it (he could taste the red wine & doesn't like wine). Jazz ate some, not all of it. I don't think I'll give it to her again though, I think the wine made her really really hyperactive. She was running and bouncing off the walls until 9:30 last night.
I don't normally eat meat - I don't like it. But I LOVED the beef last night and ate it all. I think this slow cooker will make a meat eater out of me again. Over the weekend I'll do some corned beef and make sandwiches for Matt's lunches.
I'll be sad to pack it up over summer though, probably wont get used much - unless I do things like corned beef the night before to have cold with salad & put in sandwiches.
Got our tax done last night. Matt had the accountant come over to do the business tax for him, and then I was able to finish off my tax on e-tax...VERY happy! Now we can get our new lounge suite! A little sad though. I'd rather get a dSLR but we need a lounge suite more...the one we have is so uncomfortable.
I have done full chickens, lamb shanks, silverside (have an awesome recipe for silverside) chicken curry, spag bol, taco mince, beef stew they all turned out awesome the only pro ive had is that the meat (mainly chicken and lamb shanks) have been hard to get out cos they fell apart when i tried to lift them out.
Summer is having really bad tantys at the moment she screams and carries on when she doesn't get her way and she isn't eating very well either Chris obviously is feeding her hot chips and whatever takeaway he is feeding the girls and she keeps saying "chip" im going to have to talk to him about it. It is so hard when you split with their Dad you are caught in such a horrible place of feeling like you need to keep up with the "fun" parent but the eating thing is hard we are going to have to come to some sort of arrangement i think
Summer is so not ready for TT so I haven't really been trying too much I have been through it a few times now and Tahnie was fully done just after she was 2. And from being in the brace etc for the last few months no point making extra work, ive started making her aware of it and nappy off time is good for that but I'm not in a rush being my last baby i want to do it when she is ready. It's going to be hard when we do esp if the two homes aren't in sync ah this separation thing sux sometimes.
Ah skye just people crapping on me as usual, i let someone in and they think its ok to tell me that i spoil my kids (which i don't!! I can't afford to and even if i did wtf is it to them!!!) so bye bye to them. No wonder i keep to myself and don't get too close to people
Codie started a trial for a new treatment for CF patients she might get the placebo and it's a major commitment but if it is successful it could help prevent kids and adults from getting lung damage and therefore not needing lung transplants..... She has to go on a nebuliser 3 times a day for a year hmmmmm just what i need more work but its all for a good cause.
Anyhoo hope all the little bubbas are good and healthy
Tonight we had our first poo in the bath incident. Jazz stood up with a concerned look on her face. I told her to sit down so she sat down carefully and then I noticed her surprise. Got her out of the bath straight away. I'm glad that we managed to go 19.5 months without any poo incidents!
Its ok Trina :) I spoil mine too...its called love? It involves cuddles & niceness...some people just don't understand it! Lol!
I'm baby free. & nervouse as all hell! Kids haven't seen Anth for near 6 weeks, so I'm driving a lonely 8 hours out there to pick him up. Gee, fun, lol.
Anyway, mum decided she'd have them all. Much as I would've happily taken boof with me. So I go out there tonight to settle them down & make sure Jesse is ok. He gets ready for boo, we have a little chat, again, about mummy going to get daddy. We decide he's going to stay here & look after poppy's motor bikes & fix them, then I'm kinda ok to go.
He settles down with me, then ditches me!! By himself he chooses to go lay in mum & dad's bed & just dozes off with mum!!! No boo, no winging, nothing!
I'm still in shock! Not sure if his amber teething necklace had anything to do with it, but it turned up today & I put it on him not long before.
Lonely, but happy (for now!)
Spose I best get my music sorted for tomorrow.
Night
xxx
I got an interview for a continuing position I applied for at the Uni a few weeks ago. Interview is on Tuesday.
I've also applied for a position 2 levels higher than the one I'm currently in. It's another fixed-term one until August 2012.
And, it looks like at the very least my contract in my current position will be extended for another 12 months. The boss is just sorting that out, but he's happy for me to apply for any positions I want and is still fully supportive and congratulated me on getting short listed for the continuing one.
skye - hope you're ok..
Hey prama how was diwali and NZ? did you guys have a good time
Good to see you again. How have you been?
bron - thanks! we had a fantastic time.. it was so nice celebrating a special holiday w family. it was a really really good holiday. poopy got so spoilt, hehe. he loved all the cuddles and attention he got. it felt like being back home for diwali.
how are you going?
crappy weather in sydney.. gosh it feels like winter again.. yuk./..
The weather's crap here too. We're on out 3rd thunderstorm since last night. Better turn this off again soon.
I have no car again. Anth came home for a week, but we couldn't afford for me to drive him all the way out there again, so he took the car. Wouldn't mind if it wasn't raining. Sposed to send some stuff for mum at the PO, but its too far with out the rain. There's no way I'm going in the rain.
Can't even get as far as my mates place for pilates coz its heavy rain. She's only about 10 houses down from me.
Jesse did 3 potty wee's yesterday :D So proud! He started on the floor, realised what he was doing & ran for the potty to finish, lol.
Weaning is going ok. He's sleeping through now, so thats good. I'm still allowing the bed time feed. Probably won't stop that one til he's ready. He hasn't been going to sleep on it though. Usually gets a second wind after it & eventually goes to sleep himself. Last night I left him in my bed playing with his truck & 10 minutes later he was out.
Anth had the lawn mower going the other day & Jesse was screaming coz he wanted to be out there with it! I can't believe how much he loves those sort of noises!
We got a new lounge & outdoor setting the other day! I've been wanting both for years & I finally got them! So happy!! Lounge is a 4 seater with chaise, all up about a 6 or 7 seater corner type & was only $700. Loving it!
Oh, the boy has a motor bike obsession, lol. I bought him a toy dirt bike & he didn't let go of it for 2 weeks. The only reason he hasn't got it now is coz we left it at mum & dad's. He'll run to the window if he hears one, stare at the TV if there's one on there & point them out in the car when we're driving. Loves them!
Oh well, best get him dressed. He's streaking & its freezing!
Hi Guys,
How is everyone doing?
Its so quiet in here now!
im exhausted, im almost 9 weeks now (Sunday) and have found the last few weeks really tiring. Mum and Dad have been away O/S and so MJ has been iun daycare 3 days a week. DH didnt (does now) have a car that would take a car seat so i was having to drop MJ at DC at 6.30am and the head off to work and pick her up at 4.30pm... Its a really long day for her and she was getting exhaused. She had croup and a cold pretty much the whole three weeks that Mum and Dad were away and also cut 3 molars!!! (so awake 3-4 times in the night most nights)
Anyway they are back now and i had a night without her, but didnt sleep all the way through as i had to get up and pee twice and drink water once!!! ahhhhh the joys of pregnancy! how quickly we forget!
Skye, how is the weaning going??? Mj only has the before bed feed (although its feed then storys now, not feed to sleep) and i will keep that going as long as she likes... only problem is that she only feeds from the L breast, so i am a bit lopsided... she completely refuses the R!!!!
Anyway, sorry for the lack of personals and the ME post...
Hope you are all well
xoxo
OMG SJ...Jesse prefers my left one too for some reason! lol
I was trying to do the night feed only & was going good while Anthony was home, but with noone to take him away when he's asking its been too hard. He is sleeping right through now though, so thats a bonus!
Anthony got another job. Putting in roof batts. If anyone wants some let me know! They go everywhere. He's in Golburn now. Could be going to Brissy soon, Melbourne is on the list next I think & Tassie. Hasn't been paid yet, but so far its good $$. First pay should be next week. Can't wait!
Have no car coz he needed to take it. They are based in Dubbo. His mum is the secretary, so got him the job (Thanks mum!!!) So thats where my car is. Going to get it next week. He doesn't really need one since they have a work car to travel in. Its great! While he's away his accomidation & food is all paid for, so thats less that we have to pay. Its hard not knowing when we'll see him again, but if it gets us through christmas I'm stoked!
Obviously I don't count on the business lasting. It only came about coz of the whole rebate thing & thats been dropped from $1600 to $1200, but its good while its going!
Oh, SJ what date are you due? A close friend of mine was either 9 or 10 weeks this past Sunday, so you guys are due around the same time. Hopefully it'll all settle down for you soon
Hope everyone else is good :)
HI girls sorry been so slack we are alive and well *L* WIll has also cut 3 molars but has done really well with it. He did get hand foot and mouth though which wasnt fun poor bubba. He has been ahving swiming lessons on Sat mornings which he is slowly getting used to. I have been going to the gym 3-4 times a week and am doing my lite and easy. I get weighed at Docs on Wed after 6 weeks on so cant wait to find out how i have done..havent weighed myself at all but have measured and have lost 8 cm from my hips which i can really notice. Think not weighing has actually been good for my head and will probably continue to do it this wayl Never thought I woudl see myself at a gym let alone enjoying it so hope the novelty doesnt wear off.
These apst 2 weeks have been mad busy taking all the individual and group photos for both our child care centres. 140 kids 3 groups each day..you know how they say dont work with kids or animals *L* getting them to look at the camera and smile has been hilairous. Its a great fundraiser though and usualy make about $1000 in profit after developing and mounting etc.We are off to Brisbane next weekend mum and I are taking WIll to visit my brother for a few days so hope he travels ok. AM just about to finish writing the last of my xmas cards and have even finished all the shopping yipeee just got my 12 puddings to do so feel good for being organised.I do hope you are all well I keep up to date with some on FB too. Promise to write more xx
Still waiting to find out about the job I had an interview for 2 weeks ago. My boss told me off the record that the chair of the appointment committee said they've narrowed it down to 2 and I'm one of the 2 and they're having trouble deciding who they want...but I "didn't hear it from me" said the boss to me LOL.
Jazz is talking a lot more now which is great. She's also loving her new daycare.
