So good to hear from you Bron.
Family sounds a tad selfish & sad I don't blame you for loving karma
So sorry to hear about your mum Can she wait that long to have the masectomy? I'd have thought they'd want to do it asap to prevent it spreading? I hope once she has the surgery done that's the end of the drama's for you guys for a long time.

Our christmas was really good My uncle tried to screw it up, but it happened too early in the morning for anyone to remember. Long story, but I'll give you the short version.

He's been with this woman with 3 adult boys for 6 or more years. It became obviouse that she was very controlling 4 or 5 years ago when he started to avoid his brother who lived in the same town & would come to family events alone & only for the minimum amount of time.
She's walked all over him all this time & have let her boys as well, threatening to take him for everything he has if he tries to get rid of her (he only has a house & car after his first wife getting everything, then going on quite a bender & suffering from depression when the marriage fell apart).

Anyway, we all went out west for my pop's 80th back in November. He showed up that morning with his DS who we haven't seen in about 6 years. She had just gone away somewhere & he had been waiting for her to come home. That night she rings & tells him she's coming home, he better be there when she gets there. So at about 2am they leave. No goodbyes, they just leave. Poor Coen gets dragged along.

    She never made it home.

2 days before christmas I tell mum & dad to beg him to come coz I want him here. He's just waiting for a meeting with her (she still hasn't been home) & then he'll come over here.
I tell dad to text him for me & he suprises us & shows up at mum & dad's 11am christmas eve. They all come in here for the night so they can wake up with the christmas morning.
He's not off the phone with her the whole time

6am christmas morning Summer wakes up. I sit up, in my undies to feed her. Just as she goes back off to sleep he comes into our room. He & it had been fighting all night, can he borrow DH's car to go out to mum & dad's to pick up his car so he can go home. DH half asleep agrees letting him know the petrol is low.

Off he goes. He could've turned off his phone just to enjoy christmas morning with us & left later. The only thing we've heard since is that she still isn't home.

Jesse had attatched himself to him in the few hours the night before & when he woke up the first thing out of his mouth (standing in front of the presants!) was 'where's david??' We pointed to DH's brother David & he says 'no, other David'. He was heart broken.

Anyway, after all that the adults were all awake (car starting woke everyone else up) & we ended up waking the kids up coz they thought they'd sleep in
The girls woke up & it still took a few minutes of talking for them to realise what day it was, lol. I thought Jaz would've been straight onto it!

Then DH goes up & wakes Jesse. He normally rolls around if he gets woken up & doesn't like it. This time he was up & running like a bullet

It poured rain the whole day, but it was great. We had both great grandmothers here, both our parents & all our families except my brother (live near Perth) & his family & DH's brother (can't drive & no room in IL's car).

Lots of pressies & food & not one argument. Even the kids didn't fight once!!

To top it off DH got his tax back on christmas day! Over $3000, so for chrissy we got a 42" LCD TV, mower, boat & a crappy vac til I can afford a better one.

    Best christmas yet I think
