Lou- i totally agree with the BFRP I've been thinking it was about time to get motivated and I too have become addicted to chocolate again (went off it whilst preggers). I shall add you to my facebook I'm Linnea Norton. BTW - if any one else want to be "friends" on facebook be my guest.
I havent posted in so long, but I have been keeping up with our thread everyday. Everyone sounds like they have a real handle on things now. YAY for all of us!!! YAY for saved sanity!!
Our Miss Harper is able to self settle very well now. She wakes at 7am, has a bath and feed, sleeps until 9-10am when she has a nappy change, a play and another feed. She'll then sleep on and off until 2pm, but becomes a bit grizzly sometimes. By 9pm she is usually in bed until the 12am feed (if she wakes) and sleeps after that for ages! We have had 12hrs from her at most and 6 hours at least!! Am I blessed with a lovely baby......YES!!!
Because she was induced 3 weeks early the child health nurse has given Harper until 9 weeks to produce a smile. DP and I feel like we're missing out because she hasn't given us a chessy gummi bear smile yet
Louise, can I add you on FB?? I too go on there everyday and would love to stay in contact with my cyber mothers group Increased encouragement for this BFRP also!! Back to netball next week to get rid of this ghetto booty!! All my weight went to my backside! Eeek!!! No stretchies at least........
Chat later yummi mummies!
QB - Oh, maybe I'm not Louise Chad after all (LOL!) I should also come up as Louise Hine (my maiden name) but I'll make friends with you as that is probably easiest (hang on, there are two Linnea Norton's?? I will pick one and hope for the best!!) Re: chocolate - I craved it during pregnancy
Hi Sunny! Please add me as a friend if you can find me. Will do some investigating as to why I don't come up!
I should mention that the 25kgs isn't just baby fat, more like a lifetime of fat! I keep on trying to justify it by saying that my boobs must weight 5kgs each, so therefore I don't REALLY have 25kgs to lose
Just picked up the Bumbo - pretty happy with it. Now, to hide it from my husband for a little while...
Lou- I can't work out why I couldn't find you, maybe it has something to do with my settings but I've got you now. Never knew there are two of me, lol. With a first name like Linnea you would think that there aren't too many of us but I think there are about 500 or so on FB.
Yes, I have "life time" fat to lose too. My aim is to be at my target weight by my 10 year wedding anniversary (which gives me just under 18 months) then as a reward I would like to renew my vows in QLD or Fiji. Pretty good incentive I think.
Hi girls,
Can i join you?
I had a beautiful big bouncing boy named Daniel on 9th March (10lb 10oz) and also have Lucy 2 years.
I had planned a home birth but transferred at 9cm to have my waters broken, ended up being convinced to stay the night in hospital which I regret but otherwise all went well.
I work part time (already back) and have crazy busy, wonderful life.
I like the feel of belly belly as a baby wearing, cloth nappying, vege mum...seems it could be my cyber home. I have read another forum for a while but often it made me feel sad, and i was very attracted to Bellybelly!
As for the BFRP...I discovered triathlons and running after my daughter. And let me say I COULD NOT run, I started with one minute on the treadmill and increased a minute a week until 7 weeks when I found I could go 10mins then 15...and I ran 12km. Then I did the Pink triathlon (a little one for all sorts of women) on 2008 and although I mostly come nearly last, I'm hooked.
So my BFRP starts mothers day, i am going to shuffle (not quite a run yet) the Mothers Day Classic 7.2km with a friend in Adelaide who lost her mum to breast cancer last year, And then I am going to get training for the Pink in November, Just have to work out how to stop eating so much chocolate.
EAster really was bad timing for me
DD home from childcare, will write more soon, Cuddles to be had!
Hi everyone, well I should be able to get on here quite regularly now. DH left for the mines today he is doing 5 on 4 off, then 4 on and 5 off so we are hoping it will work quite well and get more quality family time when he is home.
I feel for you Cass, I welled up when he left today but had to pull it together as when my parents left I fell apart at the airport and poor Emma was so upset because of me I cant do that again. I will miss him but for tonight I shall enjoy no snoring, no fighting for the quilt and implant myself right in the middle of the bed
Hi Polly hope you like it here, most of us have a newbie and a monkey keeping us on our toes
M2W & Sunny - Yay for Soph and Harper on the self-settling, Lily has been doing this now for a week she has one of those projector lullaby cot thingy's (iykwim??) and it is working a treat she watches it for about 10mins then peacefully drifts off...Emma on the other hand screamed for minimum 30min every night until she gave in. I hated the idea of control crying but she seriously would just not give in and in the end it was all I could do and we were both crying (ahhh memories)
Lily is really only sleeping an hour at a time, if i can get to her early enough she will go back down but otherwise she gets too worked up and feeds mostly 2-3 hours (3 if were out doing things) But night time is a dream really I cant complain 6.30-2am feed then maybe through till anywhere between 4- and 6.30. The "dream feed" hasnt worked for us as she still wakes at 2 which defied the point for me.
And yes I am starting the BFRP this week with dh away I can control my food better but I still need the chocies, I have lost 9kg but need another 9kg to go now. Does anyone have a wii fit I am thinking that with my lack of babyfree time I might invest in one.
Got to love the incentives QB - we have a wedding in Uk next June and I intend to be stunning by then, or at least slimmer hehe
Also I know its a bit personal but has anyone or is anyone going to have an IUD fitted (sorry) I am trying to get dh to have the snip but its proving harder than giving birth so figure I may have to go down this route.
First of all I am so happy for you Cass! I was crying just thinking about you seeing your DH after such a long time.
I am the happiest person alive when my DH comes home from work for the day as I miss him so much!
Lennox has been such a happy little bub unlike DS1. He does cry a bit and grizzle when he has wind but I can always settle him which is such a relief.
He is having a lot more awake time during the day and I am loving seeing his gummy little smile and hearing all his coos.
At night he is sleeping from about 7.30 till 12.30 and then still waking ever few hours after that.
He gets very grizzly at about 4.30/5am so I give him to DH for cuddles and he is the only one who can put a dummy in his mouth as he refuses to take it from me.
This Sat I am off to a PT session with some gals and very excited to meet them all. Met a lovely girly on here and get to catch up and get fit. Should be fun. Though I know after all the chocolate and junk I have been snacking on I will be a bit sore afterwards.
A big hello and hugs to everyone, so tired after DH went out last night and had a toddler sleep on top of me and a bub that kept pooping in the middle of the night, which is very unusual for him as he has never done a poo at night b4!
If anyone wants to have a chat or catch up on FB with me also I would love that!
My name is Danielle Cadwell.
