Stuffed if I know what's going on with her. We've just had another episode exactly the same as last night. Only earlier - woohoo. And this time I didn't take as long to twig, so just made up the bloody bottle. I hope she only wakes once more tonight... but I doubt that will be the case. Sigh. Better go and get more bottles tomorrow - I only have two and they are both getting quite a workout.
-
 amy hopefully it starts to get a better for u xoxoxoxo
-
sorry to hear P is so unsettled Amy - hoping she will come back around to the boob very soon for you
well, i'm grumpy! have let fly a bit on fb, but long story short, GP upset me today by having a dig at our plan of attack for dealing with E's eyes and my concerns. not happy. at least we're doing something!
E also has a bit of a cold/virus i think - losing her voice a bit, sore-ish throat - but the GP was too busy trying to upset us about her eyes to actually diagnose anything! she has thrush too apparently - so we're treating that now. will treat me too just to ensure it doesn't do the back and forth thing
ah well - bubba asleep so i'm just chililng (and whinging - doing a great job of both lol)
-
Gosh, I've been so slack in this thread lately! I should try to make up for it now while Kyson is sleeping. He's been a little unsettled tonight, so hopefully he'll stay asleep until his 11pm feed now...
BG - Sorry to hear that E has been a little unwell. Kyson got a very slight cold one time and lost some of his voice too. It was really sad, but at the same time he sounded so cute. I was very happy when he got back to normal though! I hope E is feeling better soon. Don't stress too much about the silly gp. You know that you have been having E's eyes monitored and that you are seeing you trusted optometrist soon. You are being a very good, cautious mummy :)
Amy - Sorry to hear about the shenanigans that are going on with breastfeeding. It must be a really hard thing to deal with. Lately when I thought my supply was lessening I started getting really upset because I really don't want to wean Kyson yet. I can't imagine what it's like for you when Phoebe seems to be making a choice not to breastfeed :( I guess it's good that she'll take the bottle when you are not there, but it would be nice if she would still let you breastfeed when you are home. Fingers crossed that she'll get the hang of swapping from one to the other for you
Naomi - I hope you are having a great time in Perth. How did you go with the metal detectors at the airport? WHen I went to pick up my friend at Melb airport we had to go back into one of the terminals and they made her take her (sleeping!) baby out of her hug-a-bub even before passing through the metal detectors. It surprised me because I figured they'd let you go through, and if there were any concerns on the metal detectors that they would get you to take the baby out only then...
Vic - Great to hear that CJ's hearing test came back all ok! Sorry, but I had to have a giggle when you got CJ to sleep, only to find out that they had to put bits and bobs on her and wake her up. Typical! Lol. At least you got away with having the 9 month old test!
Nicky - How is Allira's bot bot going? I hope all the nappy rash has cleared up. Kyson has been lucky and never been prone to nappy rash. The worst he seems to get is a little red right after a poop. Recently he also got slightly red in the crease where his legs meet his crotch, but I think it was due to him starting teething.
Jacinta - Lol! How did I not notice that it was a chip packet that Jamie was chasing?! Haha! Good work on the 4 teeth too! Kyson is still waiting for his teeth but luckily we're not noticing any huge symptoms. Just a little ear pulling, a change in the appearance of his gums and possibly a little more drool. A girl in my mothers group has a baby the same age as our bubs who has just cut teeth 5 and 6!
Bella - I hope the move is going really well! I'm sure it's a huge headache. Moving always is. My bestie's husband is in the navy and when they have to move a company comes in one day and packs their entire house for them, moves it all, then unpacks it all in the new place! Gosh I wish someone would do that for me (for free of course!) whenever I have to move ;)
Oh, and I still hope you can come to seaworld with us! I'm just hanging out for the 10 day forecast to see what the weather will be like on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd to see what day will be best, but if you still want to come and there is a day that is best for you, then give me a yell :D
Nicole - Gosh, poor Aaron sounds like he had a tough time with his number 2s! Have things improved? I gave Kyson some mushed up pear one time I though he might be a little stuck, and I ate the rest myself. Are you breastfeeding? I've hear that if the mummy eats the pears too that it can help... I guess something comes through the milk.
Oh, also, do you want me to add yours and Aaron's details to the birth list on the first page of the thread? If so, just let me know his birthday and birth stats :)
Hmm, did I get everyone? I hope so. If I've missed you I swear it's accidental :)
I just have to say again how much I am loving being a mummy. This little boy is bringing me so much joy and I never knew I could feel so much love in my heart each and every day. My Mum was holding him the other day and they were facing away from me, and when they turned back Kyson got this amazing look on his face that said "Yay! There's my mummy!". It just melted my heart. He's such a happy little boy. He's really getting a huge personality now and definitely knows what he wants and when he wants it, and he's not afraid to let us know if he's not getting what he wants, lol. If we pull him away from the tv cabinet (and the pretty lights on the modem and router!) he stiffens his little body and growls! Yep, he's a little growler like his daddy hehe. Too cute!
He's also getting rather proficient at standing without holding onto anything. He tends to stand against something, get balanced, then let go and balance on his own. He's so proud when he does it. He smiles and does this little panting thing while he's concentrating. Then lands on his butt after a while of course ;)

hi ladies
just thought i'd drop in hiwhile i'm watching a movie with DH and E is sleeping - hasn't happened in ages! can you tell it's a movie that i'm half watching, half not? lol definitely DH's pick of movie tonight hehehe
KL - you did well with all those personals! i seemed to get lost if i leave it too long so i do brief messages whenever i can. Kyson is sounding like he is doing fantastically! E is not that developed with her mobility - but in a way, i don't mind - the long she isn't mobile, the longer i have to try and work out what exactly we haven't baby proofed yet! we're getting there everytime we notice something new
i'm loving every second as a mummy as well. even when we're having a bad day, i still feel this overwhelming love for the little person that we brought into this world. she just amazes me every day. last night we put her in her little pool while my mum was visiting - seeing her enjoying the water, trying to splash her Granma, having a grand old time - it was fantastic. will be uploading some new pics soon - but my new profile pic is my precious poppet last night. so cute!
today, we all had a lay down on the bed and snuggled for a while - well, we tried to snuggle - she had other ideas! after having her wriggle and squirm and climb all over us, we decided to come to the lounge to ply. DH was carrying her down the other end of the house and i was following a few metres behind. i made some noise and chased after them - and the giggle was the most amazing sound. she laughs a lot. she giggle a lot - but this was the uncontrollable kind of giggle - it just caught her and she couldn't stop (probably didn't help that we kept doing it for the giggle factor!)
ahhhh, i love my little poppet!
-
Great minds thinks alike Krystie, both of my men are finally in bed so I can have some BB, FB and ME time
Kyson sounds super cute, truly priceless moment when they see their mumma smile...am sure that there is nothing like it in the world.
If you could add our details that would be great:-
Nicole S (Nicole) May 22nd 11.08am (11 days early) - Aaron Dan 2.8kg)
AFU, the pear seemed to have worked a little for Aaron although I must say this #2 look a bit like play dough????
I am still BF so Krystie I may too eat some pear each day to see if that helps things out for the little guy.
Anyone tried using one of those TT Fresh food Feeders??
I bought one today and think I might put some veggies in it tomorrow I think you can also put frozen fruit as well. If anyone has given these a go I would be interested to hear how you went.
Hope everyone has a great weekend
-
Nicole - i'm pretty sure mum bought us one of those things you're talking about (is it the mesh bag thing for putting food in?) - we haven't opened it. thought about it, but in the end we didn't bother. we have just decided to go with baby led solids with E. a couple of times she's gagged and gotten food stuck - but not often. she is pretty good at making sure it's small enough to go down - or she spits it out. i guess my thought on it is that i don't want to give her a false sense of how things are processed as she chews (does that make sense - i want her to know that she is biting food off kwim?) i guess i worry that, if we do use the mesh, she may become reliant on it and have a lot more issues when we give her food in it's true form...
-
That's the one BG, and btw you made perfect sense ;)
I was a little hesitant to pick one up but for a couple of dollars I will give it a go and if it's a no goer I am sure it won't be the first and last thing that gets trashed.
-
yay for tired Mummy still making sense!
-
10 points for you hun
-
Nicole - Just added your details to the birth list :)
Also just realised that I missed Kat, Bridg and Cathy in my persies. Sorry ladies! I promise I'll do persies for you soon, but Kyson is stirring for his 11pm(ish) feed, so I better run :)
-
woo hoo! i get points too!
i should be watching this movie, but i'm over it now. shoud go to bed - but then DH will come with me and not watch the end of the movie and i'll be subjected to it tomorrow
ah well - BB chat and maybe play with some photos...
-
Thanks Krystie my bubba is on the list!!
BG, must be a great movie hey
Maybe just say you’re going to the ladies and sneak off to bed by the time DH realises that you didn’t return to that fantastic movie it will be over
-
not a bad movie (dark knight) but not my choice of viewing for tonight - i wanted to watch something a bit light and fun!
-
Hi everyone
Had a strange couple of days here, Friday evening CJ wouldn't settle for the night for 3 hours!! That is unheard of here, I said to DH was the worst evening have had with her ever! Not sure what the issue is/was she seems to be deciding that she doesn't want to go to sleep and spends all time on the boob grunting to keep herself awake! Last night was much better only half an hour (normally I feed, hold her up right while count to 60, she wakes puts thumb in and then I put her down) but I had to sit in her room with her. The other weird thing was I leaked loads of milk last night, I haven't leaked in ages - so seems like suddenly yesterday boobs made more milk - hot weather maybe?
This morning nap she grunted for about 15 mins before dropping off to sleep - is weird because isn't crying just appears to be making a concious effort not to go to sleep. Maybe she is having the 5/6 month sleep regression late?
Had an excellent time at beach yesterday though, we got there at 9:15 and left by 11:30 so we got a great spot and was nice a quiet and marginally cooler. Followed by lunch then a trip to some vineyards on the peninsula as our wine cupboard was down to only two bottles (I like to always buy from cellar door so we just make a couple of trips every now and again to stock up (stocked up for us is about 10 bottles as we don't really drink much at home on our own - apart from this week when we watched Oz and James May Californian wine adventure and watching them drink wine we had to open a bottle)).
Nicole - a friend had one of those TT food things, she said her DD only liked to chew on the plastic bit and not the mesh! I had been tempted to get one but CJ only likes to chew on hard things at moment (probably her two teeth that are through) so figured she would prob be the same. I like BG am doing BLS but sometimes CJ just needs to get the taste of something on her tongue before will actually put in her mouth so thought that might work.
-
Vic: Loving the sound of your day trip! Sorry to hear CJ's been a little unsettled. Perhaps she's learning some new thing or other, or maybe she's getting some more teeth... Who can say. Maybe as she's such a socialite she's realising that she will miss something if she goes off to sleep so is becoming reluctant? I didn't think that happened until later, but miss Cerys is a very social little girl...
BG: Had to LOL @ your movie escapades. DH was keen to watch a movie the other night and I just couldn't do it. I knew that was valuable BB and/or sleeping time, LOL! My, how my life has changed ;)
Nicole: I have found that giving more liquid helps Phoebe's poo to soften. Sometimes I forget to offer her the breast or water (cause she doesn't seem to mind either way) but it makes a difference if I do give her more drinks. I have heard about those mesh bags but haven't seen them before. Don't think I'd bother here as Phoebe is quite keen on finger foods and as long as I try my hardest not to panic when she gags (which is happening less these days, thank heavens) she does pretty well for herself.
Krystie: Yeah, breast refusal feels completely crap. We had two nights of it, then she was fine for two nights. Then we had last night which was a strange one... she did refuse one feed but I think that was mainly because I had hurriedly put her back to bed before she was finished her feed earlier (I heard Natty was awake and crying so I was hurrying to get to her) and she was very sleepy but still a little bit hungry or something. Anyway, I made up a bottle because I was sooooooo knackered having been up with her, then to Natty, then back to her with no sleep in between! So didn't push the point. Weird though, because since the first breast refusal I hadn't given her a bottle. They have a pretty good memory these days obviously.
Kyson sounds like such a little darling! I can relate to being blessed, though the past couple of weeks I have found it hard to be joyful.
Had a party last night and the girls were just all over the place afterwards. No more late nights for the forseeable future though, so that's a relief. (Again, how my life has changed! LOL!) We have been hanging out with some friends who are back home for a while from PNG. It has been great to catch up with them again. They have four kids and the youngest is a couple of months younger than Natty and they've been getting on like a house on fire.
Phoebe is certainly more of a charmer than Natty was as a bub. She is quite comfortable with strangers and is very smiley and happy for the most part. She's a joy of a kid, really. I am finding the nights a little bit taxing, particularly with the prospect of having to go to a paid job in the near future (hopefully!). I hope I can keep my head about me.
I must get stuck into some housework tomorrow while Natty's at kindy. This place is an absolute bomb blast! If I am on here at all tomorrow you must all hassle me into getting off again and getting busy, LOL!
-
Hi Girls.
I'm still here. Just been really busy, so haven't had time to sit down and post. I however, have been lurking.

Hi Ladies,
Back from Perth, we had a blast, Bailey was an awesome traveller and although he is still on Perth time, its great as I got a sleep in this morning LOL. It only took him a day to adjust to Perth time (2.5 hrs behind) so it should take him the same to adjust back. We met my brothers girlfriend Jen, who is awesome - I love her, I hope Simon stays with her forever hehehehehe!
Nicole - we have a Sassy mesh feeder, I didn't do BLS as Bailey started solids a week shy of 5 months so his coordination at that point was pretty poor but spoon feeding definately suits us, we are just starting finger foods atm - eg toast, rusks etc and its going well. I have use the feeder with mixed success, have found the best thing to put in there is watermelon as if I give Bailey a piece of it currently he shoves the whole thing in his mouth in excitement and chokes, where as he can happily suck all the watermelon juice with the feeder, all other fruits I tend to spoon feed him in a lumpy consistency but having said that I will soon be introducing some pieces of fruit to see how he goes. He is a hoover when it comes to food (much like his mother lol) so he will sometimes just shove it in if I dont force him to pace himself, he can spoon feed himself though (very messily though hahahahaha)
Amy - no troubles with the metal detector, I was able to take Bailey through in Adel and Perth in the baby carrier and he didn't even set the metal detector off which was good. The brace bar is made of that lightweight titanium stuff (like all the modern prams) so I guess it just didn't have enough metal in it to register.
Vic - Hope CJ has settled for you again mate, poor little mite
Will be back for more persies later, I have a million things to do today, hope everyone else is well.
Just a quick question, Bailey has been doing this weird thing where sometimes he is pushing his poo's out so hard (even if they are soft) that sometimes he has a little spew at the same time - is that something I should worry about? He's always been quite a dramatic poo-er, from birth, but now that he is sitting up constantly I have noticed the little spew thing (its only a tiny posset bit of milk, sometimes bigger if he has a massive poo LOL), sorry for the TMI. Anyway, unsure if its relatively normal or whether I should take him to the GP
Naomi
-
if he has a weak valve (as E does) any pressure he is putting on himself may cause some possetting Naomi. E sometimes does the same - esp if she's sitting up!
nice Av J!
-
yeah i know i finally had the money to get plat membership lol its exactly wat i asked for and jamie will look like that as soon as he has his haircut lol
i like urs naomi wat a cute little rock star lol :)
jamie is a guts i feed him 3 meals a day plus his bottles and he still eats bickies in between hes crawling now and hes finally ventured into the kitchen toys dont really interest him anymore gotta find something else
-
I know, I shouldn't be on here, LOL! I am happy with outside and the loungeroom and the kitchen... just didn't make it to the bathrooms today. They can wait- Phoebe is having a lovely sleep and I'd like to have a little bit of time to chill :)
Bridg: Hi babe :)
Jacinta: Rowr, honey. Love the avvy.
Naomi: Glad you enjoyed your trip! Dunno about the spew thing...? But I do know that it doesn't take much to make a little person spew, so I personally wouldn't be too worried and would probably just mention it at the next MCHN appt. But you know him best, so if it's worrying you then there's absolutely no harm in seeing the doc about it.
Phoebe's poo worries are no longer worries. The last couple of mornings she's done "grown-up" poo like Natty's, LOL! About the same quantity as well  She's a big eater, this one. I wonder if it will change when she gets to toddling age...
Phoebe's night sleep is really turning a bit crappy. I am sure I should be stricter with her daytime routine and establish a better bedtime routine (without the feeding to sleep), but I swear I haven't the energy. I think I am going to just see how we go. Last night she went to bed at 7:30, woke at 8:30ish and took close to an hour to settle back to sleep. Then she woke at 11:30, 3:30 and 6:30. I would be ok with it if she'd not woken at 11:30! That one nearly killed me cause I'd only been asleep about an hour and a half.
She is still rocking on hands and knees with no real sign of crawling. If I put something just out of her reach she will just plop down on her belly and reach out for it, LOL! Funny thing. I am hoping that she is going to start crawling soon and that will be the reason for the night waking and then she'll go back to one or two wake-ups a night at the most... Yeah, I'm dreaming, LOL!
Hope everyone else is well. xx
-
J - I didn't realise my new Avi was up till you mentioned it LOL, I LOVE IT :) Yours is cool!!!
-
i didn't notice yours either Naomi! lookin good!
Amy - E is really unsettled and doing the rocking thing - maybe it is related. hope both our poppets realise sleep is necessary soon! not that i can complain - e went down at 9 last night, dream feed at 10.45, feed at 1.30 and then 6ish (i think) - then slept til half nine - so did DH and I! oops!
-
BG/Amy - Cheers re the posseting info, good to hear its normal, he's only been upset by it once as he was a bit phlemy at the time so had everything coming out of nose/mouth so I'll just leave it for now unless starts to worry us
-
J & Naomi - Love the new avvi's
Well I am still not dressed and have spent most of the day in bed (CJ doesn't mind playtime on the bed so am lucky) - I went out to moonlight cinema with some friends last night while DH babysat but didn't get home till gone midnight and then was up cleaning poo at 6:00am (I have been telling CJ I wanted her to poo as had been quite a few days and has followed instructions starting with on the picnic mat yesterday lunchtime and then several more times since). I only had two glasses of wine but normally we go to bed at 9:30 so has really hit me today - enjoyed the cinema though so was worth it.
Oh before I go try and assemble myself into some sort of order when CJ pooed on the picnic mat yesterday we cleaned it up and put stuff in a disposable nappy bag - which DH then put in the bin. A couple of hours later I realised he had put the bumgenius cloth nappy in the bag and that was in the bin too!! Nooooo. So right before went to cinema had to drive back to park where had lunch and find the bag in the bin!! Was right on top so wasn't too bad, no way was I throwing away one of those nappies without trying to get it back.
-
oh noes! not the nappy! so glad you found it Vic! i'd be devastated if we lost a nappy like that! we had one go missing for a while - couldn't find it anywhere - i was rather stressed it had been turfed - found it (clean) in a wet bag under her pram in the car. must have put it there to take a small bag into the shops instead of full nappy bag - and then promptly forgot about it!
-
Hey ladies, seems rather busy in here today
Nice new avi's Jacinta & Naomi.....looking hot ladies;)
Am sure we look just as hot as we do in our avi's as IRL!!
Hey Bridg, how's Master Logan?
Tomorrow we go to the clinic for Aaron's HC measure follow up. It always scares me the night before. He is such a happy little man it still is hard for me to believe that there is this extra fluid around his head :wall:
Anyway I am sure it has grown again but so has the rest of him ahhh the joys and stresses that our little bundles bring in our lives.
Must away DH is on his way home and the little man just woke up.
TTFN
-
of course we do nicole lol
-
hope all goes well tomorrow Nicole!
-
Yes, Nicole, all the best for tomorrow.
BG: Interesting that these bubs are getting unsettled at around about the same time. How are we sitting with wonder weeks?
Vic: Aw, bugger re the nappy! I would've gone fishing in the bin as well - it's like throwing $30 in a poo bag ;)
Naomi: Sorry - didn't notice your avvy. Looks wonderful :) I think I will be due for another one soon... Will have to try to think of something creative to put in there.
Phoebe had her biggest day sleep ever this afternoon - about 2.5 hours. She never sleeps that long, except maybe a handful of times when she was a newborn. I hope she sleeps for me tonight.
-
next WW is due at 37weeks from memory - but i think nearly all of us have had bubbas hit them a bit earlier than that so it's not out of the question they'd be hitting difficult time a bit early
-
Vic - Sorry to hear about CJ having some odd sleep habits lately. Kyson has started making a MMmmm MMmmm MMmmm MMmmm noise everytime I try to put him to sleep, but I'm not sure if it helps him go to sleep, or if it keeps him awake. I DO know that it makes it hard to hear the quiet tv when I'm bouncing him to sleep hehe ;)
I love your beach photos. I took Kyson to the beach recently for the first time and I probably loved it more than he did, lol. I can't wait to take him to a lovely pristine beach when we go to the Gold Coast though. Oh, and in June we are going to Bali and I'm sure he'll LOVE the beaches there!
Sorry, had to laugh at the mental image of you scavenging through a bin ;)
Amy - Urgh, late nights really seem to mess with little kids minds doesn't it?! We were at my parents house today and Kyson missed his afternoon nap, so we've been wondering if we would pay for it tonight, but so far so good...
Bridg - There you are! I was wondering where you had gotten to :) I hope you and the family are well
Jacinta - I adore your new avi! It is so YOU!
Kyson has given up on soe of his toys and now finds the wine cabinet and the tv cabinet (where the modem and router is) irresistable.
Naomi - Sounds lie you had a wonderful time in Perth! Gosh, Bailey really is a dramatic pooper isn't he?! Kyson tends to poop while he is standing up these days, so I wonder if that helps him lessen pressure on his belly. Bailey might have to push a bit harder because he's sitting down and therefore put more pressure on his belly and make some of what's inside squish upwards... If you're worried though, then maybe give the nurse hotline a call?
PS. Love your new avi too. What a cute little rockstar!
BG - Thanks for your post in my sleep thread. You're always so super supportive and wonderful.
Nicole - Good luck with Aaron appointment tomorrow. I hope you get great news. We have our 8 month check up this friday and I'm interested to see what his HC measurements are because when I measured him it looks like his head is in the 97th percentile now.
We went to my parents today and had a lovely log swim in their swimming pool. It was a bitter sweet day though. The best things about it were that my best friend was down from Sydney, so her, her DH, and their two kids had a swim with us. The sad part was that my sister and her boyfriend are leaving tomorrow to go back to Austin, Texas. They are going to be living there for another 2 years before moving permanently back to Australia (her boyfriend is actually British, but now work in the US). When we were saying goodbye my sis was holding Kyson and got all emotional and started crying, which of course set me off too. As much as I miss her when she's gone, I was more sad for her knowing that she wasn't going to get to hold Kyson or see him growing up for another two years :( She never wants to have kids of her own, but she absolutely adores Kyson. Hopefully by the time she comes back there will be another baby she can play with ;)
-
yeah krystie especially the purple hoody lol
-
Nicole - GL for today, hope Aaron's HC is nothing to worry about mate :) Will be thinking of you today. Keep us posted! And yes, I do look as hot IRL as my avi (NOT!!) LOL
Krystie - Hugs re your sister going away, I know how hard it is to have family far and wide (with my brothers in WA and VIC, and Dad in Broome), but it does make the time you spend together precious and special! I hope Kyson has a little brother or sister when she comes home.
BG - I love the Dark Knight, but yeah, you gotta be in the mood to watch that kinda movie, we watched American Beauty last night, I'd forgotten how good it was :)
Vic - arrrrgh re going through the bin, I have had to do that a few times when I have accidently thrown things out and its rather unpleasant hahahahaha. Love your pics of the outdoor cinema, I think they have one here in the botanical gardens, I should check it out.
Amy/All - Re the wonder week question - there is a Week 36 wonder week (Bailey went through it between Christmas and NY), I found that was when he started waking at 4 and 5am - arrrgggghhh!! But other than some sleeping issues it was a pretty 'easy' wonder week this time. On the sleep issues, my amendments to our routine have really paid off, massively in fact! Bailey is now sleeping 7pm - 6-630am with NO wakeups most of the time, he hasn't had an overnight bottle since NY and has 2 x 1.5 hour day naps, and when I lay him on my lap for a day sleep he is usually asleep within a few minutes, sometimes as soon as I lay him down he shuts his eyes and goes to sleep, I really cant believe it!! Putting him in his sleeping bag during the day works a treat as he associates it with sleep, so we are no longer wrapping, and I added an afternoon bottle seeing he has dropped the night one and this seems to suit him too. I hope things dont change too much as the way things are currently are just frigin fantastic and easy. Having never had a baby who slept through the night, at 8.5 months I am discovering what a huge difference it makes to everything (my own health and demeanour also!!). I totally agree with Bella's post a month or so ago too, as sorting out the day naps certainly seems to impact the quality of the night sleep. I remember there was a girl that used to come to our mothers group in the early days who's baby slept through 12 hours from a few weeks old, as a result she had time to read books, watch movies, keep her house clean (apparantly!!) and have a quality relationship with her husband and I was insanely jealous (and wanted to punch her in the head LOL), now I understand how...
Kat - just saw on facebook that you are crazy with no sleep - that sucks ar*se - sending you some of our sleep vibes mate :)
Better go, swimming is in half an hour and I have a few things to do before we go, have a great day all
Nay

Not sure if CJ is ill or is just the heat - she seems a bit extra sleepy, have taken temp (but only have an underarm one DH is going to get an ear one on way home at 4:00) 1st said 38.2 10 mins later 38.7, then 20 mins after that 38.3. Have realised my baby panadol should have been kept in fridge so is no good I assume (was opened at her 2 month injections and hasn't been in fridge since).
She isn't crying or anything, just doesn't quite seem her normal self, much more thumb sucking too and ear pulling. Would teething give her a temp - it is v.hot in Mel today but lounge room is 26. Her last feed she was also a bit fussier I think.
-
Vic - Kyson cousin (2 days younger than Kyson) got a temperature when he was teething. Fingers crossed that CJ either doesn't really have a temp, or that it's just teeth related
-
I just checked my children's panadol too, because I didn't know it was meant to be in the fridge. It says to keep below 25 degrees. I've now put it in the fridge, but I figure it should be fine though. It's pretty rare for the house to get about 25, and surely the panadol would have a couple of degrees safety margin. I wouldn't think that the second it hit exactly 25 degrees something bad would happen... Unless your house gets really hot Vic, the panadol is probably more than ok :)

Well the panadol was in the bathroom cabinet and bathroom is the warmest room in the house (no aircon in there) so quite often when weather is hot is going to be 30 in there - so have asked DH to get some more on the way home. She has just had a reasonable feed and temp now 38.1 so think she seems to be doing ok even if has a slight temp.

DH just got home with the baby panadol and ear thermometer - which gives 38.5 - now I remember the nurse who talked to our Mothers Group classes saying sometimes you need a fever to fight the infection so at what point would you give baby panadol?. She is chatting away to DH but he agrees she is not quite right, but no other symptoms apart from a bit tired than the temp.
