Oh, does anyone else's bubbas know how to chuck a tanti yet? Logan has it down pat.
HELL YEAH!! LOL - any time I take something away from him that he shouldn't have (eg my mobile phone) his bottom lip drops and he cries bloody murder - what are the terrible two's going to be like? I am going to be one of those poor mothers in the supermarket with a two year old throwing himself on the ground while I pretend not to know him PMSL

Bridg - Yeah, we were getting into a bit of a lazy rut on the weekends, so now that the weather is much milder and not in the high 30s we have declared 'Sunday Funday' so we get out of the house and DO stuff - a few outings on my agenda are Cleland WIldlife Park, the Adelaide and Monarto Zoo's and various picnic locations - I am dying to take him to the Adelaide Aquatic Centre as there is a great kids/toddler bit there but that one will have to wait for our first brace free sunday My Bro and SIL and their kids (in Shep) have Friday Family Fun-night (or something like that) so I kinda stole the idea.....

you girls can fight it out of McDreamy and McSteamy - i'll stick with House - there is something about the attitude that i just like! plus the eyes are pretty damn good!

Bridg - E has been a tanty thrower for a while now - move her away from something she isn't supposed to have, sit her on the floor, she lets out a huge cry, puts her head down as far as she can (and she can fold in half and put it on the floor if it's a big enough tanty!) - i just tell her she is gonna have to learn that tanties don't get her anywhere! i will be that chicky that puts her screaming kid in the trolley and pushes her screaming body around the shop laughing at her. i can throw tanties waaaaaaaaaaaaay worse than that lol

    LOL Naomi...you’re on!!
Now to track the man down......

Bridg, Aaron has a dummy spit if I take something off him but it is generally because I need to pick him up or feed him so the spit is only short lived.

Well it got the better of me and am taking Aaron to the GP tomorrow morning just to check his throat. His voice and cry is a bit croaky and wingy/wimper so I think it is better to get it checked.
Ahhh I think I have become a panic mum!!

This is taking ages to write - for a kid who aparently didn't want lunch, Natty has got me going back and forth from the kitchen. She has now downed 3/4 of a vegemite sandwich (mine) and 1 and a half bananas. I think she just expected I'd get cross with her if she said she didn't want lunch - she's always on for a fight these days.

Krystie, McDreamy has been p'ing me off a bit lately. I don't find him wussy as such, but I can't describe it. This season he has just been getting up my nose. I really like McSteamy since he's fallen for Little Grey. I like that he can be a bit vulnerable too. I have also always been very fond of Alex. I really enjoyed watching him hold that baby last night with no shirt on. And BG, I get you IRT House as well!! I LOVE his attitude, I think he's so offensive he's hilarious, and the throw-away lines usually have me chuckling so much I miss what is said next and have to rewind. There is something oddly attractive about his complete disregard for being sociable. So in short, I am a male TV character hussy. Give me any of them for a night and I'd be happy as. (They can look after the kids and I'll sleep. PMSL!)
Bridg: Yes, Phoebe does chuck tanties. Most nights once I have gotten her out of the bath and dressed I leave her in her room (which is next to the bathroom) with some toys while I get Natty out and dry, she crawls back to the bathroom and straight for the toilet brush. I always forget to put it up out of reach (you would think I'd have learned by now) and it won't fit in the cupboard. So I pick her up and put her out the door and put the toilet brush on top of the toilet. She has a little screech and flaps her arms. It's kind of cute really. But it happens quite regularly, and she's generally a loud person. At lunch today once she'd finished her banana, she looked at me expectantly and I said, "It's all gone" and she screeched at me then too. She also has a go at me whenever I put the gate up to block off the stairs.
Nic: It's better to be safe. No harm done in getting him checked out if you think there's something amiss. Maybe he does have a sore throat.
Nay: I love the sound of the Sunday funday as well Something we should get onto as well, as Sundays will be our only family day now and we should make the most of it. So I am going to pinch the idea too. LOL!
BG: I am exhausted just reading your post about the gardening!
Kat: Pffft. I was going to say, 'get lost' but that's the opposite of what I really want you to do, LOL! Keep popping in and telling us how you and Ivy are getting on - I'm not on FB enough to keep up with you.
Cathy: Congrats to your bestie on the birth of her bubba! I'm hanging out to hear from my bestie who's first is due next week. She is up in Cairns though so I won't get to meet her little bundle til Christmas.
Bella: How cool to be able to attend another birth! How wonderful! I wonder if you are there right now...
I am getting paid again on Friday and I've decided that I need a present from this pay so I'm going to buy one of your wraps Will check in with you on the weekend.
Nicky: So cool to hear of Allira's walking and swimming escapades. She sounds like she's just on the go all the time!

Phoebe has been crawling properly for about 2 weeks now. And she is quite quick, which has caught me out a few times now. We have lots of stairs here and it is really only luck that has kept her from tumbling down them a few times. She's also getting into DH's stuff as we have a computer desk with stuff on it and under it in our loungeroom. Serves him right if his stuff gets wrecked, but I worry about what she's going to pick up!
We had a lovely morning this morning at the lake, the girls and I. Natty and I fed the ducks and had a cino and a play while Phoebe had a sleep in the stroller. I am coping pretty well without DH, I must say! But my mum is being extra super this week, coming over on my work days so I don't have to drop them off anywhere.
Work is going well. Now that I am getting a little more confident I am starting to really enjoy it. And Phoebe has had two days in care so far and she's doing fine! She sleeps, plays and eats well and the carers seem to like looking after her. It's all I could ask for.
So, in short (or rather, incredibly LONG, LOL!) all's going well here. But I think my time is up, so much love to you and I will pop in again soon. I have been religiously reading your posts each day but have found it tough to get enough time to post myself. Know that I'm reading and thinking about you all each day xx

When Logan chucks his tanties, he gets the legs and arms flapping, and screams down the place. Then when he gets his own way, he smiles at me with the cheekiest grin.

Snacks- I'm with you on the Alex front. Humina Humina. Glad to hear the job is working out well, and that you are coping without DH.

BG- I used to throw tanties when Jake and Zac did it in the supermarket, and they used to stop, stand there and look at me as if to say WTF.

Nic- Your not being a panic parent at all! If you are worried, then take him to the GP.

    :yeahthat:

Also it's official ladies Aaron is 100% sorted for Winter....love planning ahead.
He is set from head to toe not too sure about DH and I...but sooo much more fun shopping for the little man.

Picked up Aaron an easter gift today. Was in Target and found a Plastic Egg Carton and Shape Sorter. It's so cute has 6 eggs which break in half with numbers 1-6 each with a different colourand shape in a plastic carton!! Looks really real ( the brand is Young Ones)
No real eggs for the boy this year but HOW could I go past a $9.99 toy!!

Amy - you almost made me wet my pants re your comment about the TV hunks looking after the kids - hahahahahahahahaaha, LOVE IT!! Yeah Alex giving the baby Kanga cuddles was pretty awesome actually, it reminded me of when I did the same with Bailey in the SCN although I didn't have a six pack to show off . McDreamy doesn't pull off 'arrogant' very well I must admit, but hey it's not his personality that I am after........ **wink wink**. For blantant sexy - google Chris Nunez from Miami Ink - he has those bedroom eyes, I'm not one to go for the tattoo sleeve kinda guy, but those eyes...... **drool** (again, I'm not worried about the personality HAHAHAHAHAHA). My celebrity F#ck is Johnny Depp though - Oooooh yeah baby!! Sean's is Heather Graham LOL - like either of us would ever get the chance.........or act on it if we did.....!!!!! Oh and congrats on Phoebe's crawling

    Nicole
    - I am soooo stealing your Easter present idea for Bailey, I might give him a piece or two of egg, although I haven't given him chocolate yet (except chocolate custard) and don't really think its necessary to give them 'treats' at this age, he has a lifetime ahead of him to fill with poor nutritian - eeeeek. He seems to be a savoury kid, he used to get more excited about fruit when we first started solids, but that seems to have changed.

Nicky - sorry to hear Lachie is sick again - you guys are having the most terrible run - surely your luck has to change, hope he (and you) get through it quickly and some good health comes your way

Bella - How wonderful to be involved in another homebirth, I can understand your excitement. Let us know how it goes - I love hearing of babies being born!

Cathy - congrats to your friend! It's always an exciting time when a new bub enters the world. Every time a baby has been born since I had Bailey, it brings my own labour and Bailey's birth back into the forefront of my mind and makes me long to do it all over again. Sean has moved past his worries and is keen to have another at some point. We are tentatively thinking that after christmas this year we will give it a go naturally (heck you never know) and hopefully by mid to late next year (2011) we can then look at IVF again with hope to have a 2012 bub - Sean will be 40 and me 38 (eeeeek ) so we really can't afford to waste too much time if we seriously want another

Bridg - I hope you get all the CA stuff sorted as you mentioned on FB - what a stress, BG as usual gave good sound advice, I guess its just a matter of going through the process and keep on it, hope it all works out babe.

Krystie - Can't wait to hear how everything is going (or not if you'd want to keep it on the down-low ) Hope this journey is a great one for you

I heard from Vic just before - her computer has died so she won't be back online until about Monday, it may not be worth repairing so a new PC might be in order. She feels like her arm has been cut off without internet (I totally understand!!) She wanted me to let you know why she was MIA - and to let you know that the IL hadn't driven her over the edge , fortunately for her they have left - Yay!!

AFU - We have our Ortho appt tomorrow and Xray etc, I hope to be back around midday to give you all an update. I am reasonably confident that we should hear that the treatment is on track and improvements noted in the angles, as we have been doing absolutely everything we have been advised so will be devastated if its not all going to plan. We have to be in the city at the WCH about 8ish for Xrays, then we have a brace adjustment at 9am, then the ortho at 1015 so hopefully Bailz can hold out a bit later for him morning nap

Oh, and check this out - CLEARLY Bailey gets his good looks from me - LOL

ETA - BG, Hows the body feeling after your landscaping frenzy?
body is kinda ok for now - i think! we had the third day of landscaping today - i managed to shovel and move a tandem trailer full of mulch pretty much on my own. C loaded one load into the wheelbarrow, but i did the rest. plus we did a heap of other stuff. i'm going to feel it tomorrow when i don't use the muscles and they get tight i think. wrist is playing up already - and the sunburn isn't great fun! but it looks good and we've made a HUGE difference! that's all that matters

now, just hoping E sleeps better than she did last night - wouldn't go to sleep til late then woke at 12.30 and another three times before 5.30 - refused sleep for an hour til we gave her panadol (poor poppet was distressed by then) - snuggles and sleep for a couple of hours. only slept for about 2 hours through the day too

must away - hopefully dinner will be almost ready...

Nic- It is fun shopping for the kiddies! Aaron's present sounds cool.

Naomi- Fingers crossed this CA stuff does get sorted out quickly. BG always gives good advice (and so does everyone else). Chris Nunez is a humina humina too. I also don't mind Ami. Just don't like his attitude sometimes. If you don't mind me asking, how do they do the x-ray for Bailey? I was talking to a friend who said not to be surprised if the paed sends Logan for one (for his leg and foot turning in). Will be thinking of you guys tomorrow and hoping we hear some good news. If your on before the morning, can you pretty please get me some teething stuff? I will give you some money.

BG- You go girl! You should tell C that you must be stronger than him, as you did more work. lol. Sending sleep vibes to Miss Emerald.

The xray is with the brace on tomorrow which I thought was a bit weird, but they are the specialists

    Hi girls!

Naomi all the best with the xrays today.

    How are we?
DS was nearly admitted to hospital last night which was good fun. He's not a very well little boy but after not drinking for 6 hours, we were very worried. He's not too fantastic today, but he's drinking and attmepting to eat. We've now got a new concern with his weight though.

Anyway, not to be outdone, Allira has decided to start walking. She's taking 5-7 steps and Nan said just class that as walking. LOL. So hopefully I haven't jumped the gun. Hoping that she doesn't get what Poor Lachie has.

Must go again. More water required for the little man (who's just lying down doing nothing... it's so unlike him ).

    Take care all.

    xx

Oh Nicky, the poor little man. Hope he is feeling better soon and that Allira doesn’t get it!!
On the hydro side of things,, it must have been a real worry when you were pg and just waiting for him to be born to see how bad things were.
So glad to hear that he just followed his own curve and I that Aaron does the same in the next few weeks.

Naomi, hope everything went well today and that you got some GREAT news!!
Also if you want one of those egg things I bought for Aaron and you can't find it let me know and am happy to pick one up for Bailey next week and post it to the little man

AFU, took Aaron to the doctor and all seems clear but his voice is still a bit weird and croaky. Doctor said to come back in a week if it is the same.
Am also getting our letter today which confirm when all of Aaron's test will be.

Naomi- Thanks hun. Your a treasure! mwah! It does seem a bit weird doing the x-ray with the brace on.

Nicky- I'm sooo sorry to hear Lachie isn't well. What did the Drs at the hospital say could be wrong with him? If you need to talk, you know my number. Yay for Allira walking. She will be into everything now!

Nic- Glad to hear Aaron got some good news at the Dr. When you get the dates, let us know so we can put it on the calendar.

AFU, I think Logan is getting more teeth, coz he feels very warm today, grizzly, and chomping on his hands. He's been eating and drinking ok. We have been putting 'Aunty Nay's special toothy stuff' on, so is keeping him reasonably happy.

Just a quickie, Fantastic News for us (finally YAY!!)
Bailey's hips are showing obvious improvement - His left hip acetabular angle has improved 4%, the right (which was the worst) has improved 6% - Both hips angles are under 30% (which was what we needed to avoid the brace), However as there is still bone to be laid down and growth to occur the ortho has recommended that we stick to the 6 months to ensure the improvement continues and no deformity of the hip joints/angles occurs - but 6 months is the maximum! We can take the brace off on May 23 and we go back to him 3 weeks later to see how the hips are going out of the brace.
We have an end date to this journey - to say I am stoked is a massive understatement!!
