Hi everyone. Dad came good then had a set back, but hopefully he can get out of hospital around the weekend sometime... we'll see.

BG im sure E will be fine, just be aware they often pick up colds and stuff in the first week (Jade has had a constant green snotty nose since she started daycare yuk lol)

AFM i am really struggling, im not sure whats gotten into Jade but she just wont sleep at nights, day sleeps are fine she still has 2 long day sleeps... last night i put her to bed at 6pm (i try keep her up later but it doesnt help) and she woke at 11pm screaming, wouldnt take a bottle, had to be cuddled back to sleep...then same at 3am and 5am..... then i was woken by DP at 6am when he left for work....so glad jade had daycare today so i slept til 2pm lol...

As some of you have already read on facebook, Kyson had a fall today I was playing with him on the floor and crawling around him, then he tried to run to me and the balloon was in the way and he tripped. To make it worse, his arm got stick sort of behind the balloon as he was going down so he couldn't cushion the fall like he usually would. So it was straight onto his face. I was giving him a cuddle when I noticed a small amount of blood coming out of his nose and mouth. I swear my heart skipped a few beats! I tried to put a cool flannel on him, but he really didn't want it on his face, so we sat and cuddled and I put Bear in the Big Blue House on for him because he loves that. It calmed him down and after a while he even got out a few smiles. I know he's bound to get hurt again in the future, but I realllllly don't want to see him bleed ever again

On the IVF front, I'm due to start a new cycle any day now. Just waiting on AF again. Things are a bit all over the place with Monash IVF though, because we've been waiting on the results of our karyotyping test which was only meat to take 2 weeks. But the lab got backed up over easter and they are still saying 1 more week to wait. That makes about 5 weeks all up! We didn't really want to wait, and even before I suggested it my FS said we should just start the cycle because the likelyhood of them finding a problem in really slim. I stil haven't done the paperwork or have all the meds yet though because since we were waiting I hadn't seen my nurse yet, and now she is away until thursday. I've been trying to go through another nurse, but she couldn't get my file or comething yesterday, and didn't call me back today. I still have some Gonal F in the fridge from last time luckily, and I know the dose FS wants me on, so I might as well just wait until thurs to call nurse and book in because I can use what I already have for the first few days. Fingers crossed that our little embies are ok this time!!!


BG - I'm happy to read on facebook that you made it through the day ok. How did E go with your parents?
PS. You are NOT heartless at ALL! You are confident in your parenting skills that your well-adjusted little girl will cope just fine without her mummy and daddy for a period of time. No need to be hard on yourself sweet.

TM - Sorry to hear that Jade is having sleep issues. Kyson still feeds through the night at 11pm, 2am and 5am, and then usually gets up at 6.30am. Plus about 50% of nights I end up in his room resettling him at some stage between 11 and 2. After his 2am feed he cosleeps with us. Hopefully Jade will settle down and sleep better soon.

Nicky - Still thinking of you and your dad. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that he'll get to go home on the weekend. I'm sure he's bored out of his brain is hossy.

Vic - I was going to suggest extra breastfeeds as well, but it looks like that's already covered I have the fess little noses stuff and never found it great. Kyson doesn't like the spray much and absolutely despises the nose sucker. Hopefully she'll feel better really soon.
Oh, I was going to ask about breastfeeds when I read that you were down to about 3 per day... Kyson is still having 6-7 feeds at least per day. Does this seem ok?

Amy - Sorry to hear that Pheobe is under the weather as well. How did your doctors appointment go?

Nicole - How wonderful that Aaron was spoilt on his naming day, and that everything went really well. I'm sure your big bash for his birthday will be equally as good

Nay - 3 sleeps? *sigh* Where oh where does the time go?! How on earth can we be at the start of the 1st birthdays already? It doesn't seem like long ago that we were all waiting on each others birth announcements and scrutinising eveyone's BB attendance to guess if someone had been offline long enough to have a baby, lol!

Cathy - How adorable that CJ likes watching Cara's photos! Maybe they'll be skype-buddies one day
And that is so cute the way Cara goes into Laura's room at night and calls out her name. Good thing Laura can sleep through it!

Krystie - Scary re Kyson's fall, I can understand why your heart skipped a beat, stuff like that is scary. We are in full on baby proofing mode atm as Bailey is crawling at high speed, I reckon he could give the road runner a run for his money, Sean attached some stabilising straps to the plasma today as I am terrified Bailey will end up pulling it down on himself. Every day it seems we find another danger that he gets too, so we are learning to be careful what we leave lying around. Hilarious how absolutely filthy he gets now with crawling around and getting into things. Yesterday he was rubbing his hands on the back screen doors and his hands were black at the end of it - Yukko!! Good luck with the next cycle, I have everything crossed for you! You are right with the first birthdays, I remember when all our birth announcements starting rolling in, I certainly didn't expect to be first, in fact I recall we all had you pegged as the first one to pop! LOL

BG - So glad to hear today went well, I hope its a load of your shoulders, the first day really is a big hurdle to overcome and it gets easier each day until off of a sudden you are used to your new 'life' as a working Mummy. Sorry to hear the work is a bit on the boring side, hope it either gets interesting or you can take on a role or tasks that spark your interest a bit more. It sounds like you and I are quite similar, I need work that motivates and interests me, otherwise I am bored out of my brain! I actually love a challenge from a work perspective (but crave a more stable home life LOL)

TM - arrrggggh sleep issues - There is a reason sleep deprivation is used as a form of torture - it can drive you insane. Take it easy on yourself babe, good on you for catching up on sleep today Jade is absolutely adorable, her photo's really are stunning, you have a good looking girl there babe!

Nicky - sorry to hear that your Dad has had a setback, bugger! Hoping for you that he gets out of hossy later in the week. I hope you, DH, Lachie and Allira are all going well. Take care of yourself babe, it can be very draining worrying about everyone else, be sure to be kind to yourself (or I'll come over there and MAKE you relax LOL)

Vic - Hows CJ going with her cold, I hope she is on the mend. I LOVE the photos of her and Ryan on FB, they look like they are having so much fun - great shots mate! I was also impressed with your artwork - your creativity impresses me constantly I was thinking of you the other day when we were doing some interviews are work, as I was madly scribing the applicant told us that with her 'What you see is what you get' and I looked down and realised I'd written WYSIWYG - LMAO. How bad are the Crows? I cant really see a win for a while, its quite a depressing start to the football season for us

Bella - Eeeek re J and the glass - its scary what they put in their mouths isn't it. Great advice (as usual) for TM, you put things so supportively and eloquantly Good on you re the Zumba classes, it seems everyone I know is doing them (except lazy ol' me LOL)

Amy - Hows Phoebs going too? Hope her temps have settled and you too have gotten some rest. Nice work with the BB updates at work. I wouldn't dare get on BB or FB at work, we have an internet cafe which we can use in our breaks so I can jump on there, but during work hours although I have internet access its strictly for work purposes only, and as all us Team Leaders sit in the middle of the centre, everyone can see our computer screens so I wouldn't risk it LOL. I've actually had to give someone a formal warning for innappropriate internet usage so I have to set the right example I s'pose heheehehe

Nic - I have Grays on in the background as I write this LOL, looks like a good ep, I should really pay more attention. What type of business does your DH have? Aggghhhh paperwork - fun times for you - NOT!! Glad to hear the naming day went so well, love the piccies Aaron is so cute I just want to squish him LOL. Love the picnic idea for his birthday, and yes, come on over for Baileys birthday, the jumping castle has me excited too - I am so kicking the kids off for 5 mins so I can have a bounce LOL. We put Bailey on his cousins trampoline last saturday while she was jumping around and he was loving it, absolutely laughing his head off, so I cant wait to see his reaction on the jumpy castle! I wish we could use his jumperoo - he used to love it, oh well once the brace comes off, although he might be too big for it now? Hmmm not sure!

Cathy - LOL @ Cara crawling into Laura's room. I had a chuckle at CJs reaction to Cara's photos - How cute was that. How's your photo project going? I need to get stuck into Baileys photobook soon, as once I have his birthday photo's thats it - I'm done. Perhaps I'll start one for this next year - LOL, perhaps not, I have enough trouble keeping up now that I am back at work. Sean and Bailz have a great routine happening, they are going along great guns. I am finding that at times Sean is a bit more intuative with Bailz than me as he probably knows his routine a little better than me now - it feels kinda weird, but they spend more time together so its as it should be I guess.

Jacinta - hope all is ok with you, sounds like you are going through a tough time from your FB status, take care of yourself

AFU - I have Bailz Birthday/Naming Day well under control now, I think its ended up A LOT bigger than I anticipated but Oh well - LOL. My little brother Simon (one of Bailey's godparents) arrives from Perth on Thursday night so he will help us with the final preparation and Mum is coming over early on Saturday to help me out. I cant wait - hoping for a fine day, it appears that the BOM currently are predicting 23 degrees with a shower or two, 23 would be lovely, just stay away rain!

Bailey is developing in leaps and bounds currently, its quite amazing the changes he has gone through in the last few weeks. As I mentioned he is crawling at an alarmingly fast speed, and in the last few days has been attempting to stand. He basically puts his hands on the ground and with both feet flat pushes his bum into the air in an effort to stand but unfortunately the brace stops him for straightening up his legs and standing properly, its only another 4ish weeks until the brace comes off which is good as he is showing frustration with it atm. He is getting rather bold and throwing himself into his ball crawl (as if he is at a rock concert diving into the mosh pit LOL) and he just seems to have no fear - typical boy!! Today I was working from home so I took him to swimming and he did the same thing in the pool, just jumps in from the side! We are going to have to watch him as he grows - I'm all for confidence, but balanced a little fear and common sense just to keep him safe He is finally waving too, I have been trying to teach him for aaaaaaaages, so I get a wave good bye now - if we say "Seeya" that's his cue to wave - its sooooooooo cute! Anyway, he and Sean are going well at home, Sean is encouraging Baileys cheeky side, which will probably bite us on the bum as he gets older, but oh well, I love kids with a bit of spunk, as long as they have some boundries to keep them happy and safe.

Hey girls..I just got an truckload of photos today from snapfish. Oh lordy...so many to put in date order and file in the photo album. Now if I can just cut back on photos LMAO!! Me????

I think Cara is getting a bit chubby for the little chair she sits in for her meals (one of those fisher price portable things that straps to a chair). I tried sitting her at the table with it..perfect height, but then she grabs so much stuff..arghhh my table is crowded..need a bigger one. I think I might have to get her a proper highchair. Had this one since Laura was born.

Krytie: So sorry to hear your little man had a fall. *Big hugs to Kyson* It's scary how much blood can come out of the gum/lip. Always looks worse than it is. Always so many bumps when they start walking...dreading that bit. Cara already bumps her head on chairs etc..that's bad enough. Glad to hear you can start IVF again soon too!! All the best. Hope it's smooth sailing this time! Oh...and I still breastfeed Cara whenever she wants it. Sometimes that's every hour, sometimes 3 hourly. She still wakes up at night, but goes straight back to sleep at least after a feed.

Vic: I hope Cerys gets over her cold soon. No fun at all. Baby vicks for sure....all my kids have grown up on that stuff.

BG: Glad to hear that you had a good first day at work. Did you get big hugs when you got home. I bet she was rapt to see you!

Nay: So exciting that Bailey boy is turning 1!! I will be like you once cara turns 1..the photos will be a lot less. It all started with Yassie, cause she was going to be an only child (for the first 6mths as I had bad memories of nasty c-section). And so to make up for it, I took as many as I could of her. WIth Ronan, I decided not to take quite as many, though he still has a good 2 big albums full of photos (Yassie has like 4???). They hold like 300 photos!! I have a few photos sorted out for a book for Cara of her first year..but I have to sort through the photos and pick out which ones to use. Big job..

Still need to get this outfit made for Cara's 1st birthday..at least it's over a month away yet. Otherwise I'll just dress her up in the cute snow white outfit I bought her LOL Size 3 and I reckon it will fit GOOD! No joke! She fits into size 2 and sometimes 3!

TM: Hope you caught up on some sleep today. It's exhausting when they don't sleep. Cara doesn't even have decent day sleeps..40 min are her average. If she sleeps 2 hours..I"m so amazed! Her and big sister Laura are so different sleep wise to my first two babies. Cara also nods her head for no now too. And have to pin her down and hopefully distract with a toy to try and change her nappy..arghh. Hates to be put anywhere she can't move (highchair, car seat, pram).

Nicky: Hope your Dad comes home from hospital soon! You always feel better when you are home in your own environment.

Nicole: Glad the naming day for Aaron went well!

Amy: Hope dr went well. I always worry about ear infections too. Hopefully she will get better soon!

Thanks for all the cold advice, I have upped the breastfeeds but now she is biting - she only used to bite at end when not interested so maybe is because I am offering much more often - is a real pain (in both senses!). She is happy as larry but very snotty. Not sleeping quite so well but not too bad.

Krystie - RE the BF's - I reckon are all different - we dropped down feeds without really realising, we would just be out and about one day and I would forget one and she wouldn't mind so then just did the same the next day. As she sucks her thumb I think she doesn't comfort suck on me much and has always seemed to have reasonably long feeds. I found when went from four to three I was still offering four but she would bite me after a couple of sucks on one of them so figured she really didn't want it. She upped her water intake as the feeds dropped and is pretty good with her solids. I know some at MG are still on similar number of feeds to Kyson - does he demand them or do you just offer?. I would like more feeds as is when I sit down and read BB! but I think the biting is quite a strong sign she isn't interested, because when I take her off she doesn't try to get back on. I figure maybe she might want more when is on the move and expending more energy? I am hoping to keep morning and night feeds till she is at least two - but am not sure she will stay interested.


When we were at the zoo, they were saying that the boy giraffes took longer to wean than the girl giraffes because it was their excuse to stay around the family group (as they go off on their own) as they needed to be more independent before leaving the group - so the girls exerted their independence earlier because they knew they would always be around mum, aunties etc if needed, while the boys because they were going off into the wide world stayed mummy's boys till a bit older. I was wondering if humans could be a bit like that - in MG the boys are all more sooky and less independent than the girls. Obviously these days boys and girls can do the same things in the world - but did make me wonder if there is an evolutionary aspect to why boys seem more attached to their mums in the early days.

Vic: Ouch! to the biting! No fun. I always scream "Owww!" and she looks comes off and looks upset, and then we try again and she's usually fine. That's sweet about the giraffes. I've had 1 son and my oldest daughter Yassie has seemed a lot more independant from about age 7 or 8. Ronan is now 10 and he still likes me to do things for him that Yassie could do at an earlier age, and is more cuddly than Yassie (and even Laura now, who is off doing so much in her own little world now). So maybe boys are a bit more attached to their Mums and less independant?

I offer Cara a lot of feeds when maybe I don't need to. Plus I get her to sleep a lot that way since she ditched the dummy. It's just so easy sometimes. But after age 1, when she is on cow's milk, I'll drop it down to maybe 3 feeds a day.....then eventually 2, then 1...and will probably wean around 18mths like I did the other 3.

Did anyone see that show on Extrordinary breastfeeding? One lady feeding an almost 8 year old girl and one lady feeding her 4 year old son and wanted to try and feed her adopted 18mth old chinese baby girl! I couldn't do it that long....after awhile I just want my body back!

Vic - if CJ is mostly happy in herself and not wanting to feed more, let her run with it. if she is needing more, i'm sure she'll let you know. it sounds like the snots are the biggest issue for now - and it may be that BF is making breathing a little more difficult - so she is keeping feeding down to when she needs it rather than comfort feeds. E lets me know when she wants a feed (grabs my clothes and tries to self serve) and is still feeding as often as Kyson. she is very active (can't get her to sit still for two minutes!) and i think she is burning a lot of evergy. she eats really well, drinks milk from me when i'm around, but didn't fret yesterday when i wasn't... apparently she just had more water - but was keen for a drink when i got to mum's and offered

the giraffe thought is interesting - it's possible that it's a bit like that with us as well. some kids just wean themselves and create their own routine earlier than others...

Nicky - hope your dad is doing ok hun.

Em - i see on FB you got more sleep last night. don't compare Jade to the other kids re movement and things. every child develops at a different rate and will reach milestones at different times. i know with my brothers three kids, one was actively walking at 10 months, another didn't start crawling until after a year old. the third (and their little cousin E) seem to be in the middle of the two extremes

Kristie - good luck with the upcoming IVF cycle. it's annoying that your karyotyping results aren't back yet - hoping it is back very soon for you hun.

Kyson's fall sounds a bit nasty. i am always worrying when E gets too adventurous that she is going to end up really hurt. she virtually runs around the furniture now - gets to the rocking chair and keeps on going - it's "thrown" her a few times and she's bonked her head - but she won't slow down! i am hoping it's a long time before we get a bloody injury - i will end up in more tears than her, i'm sure!

Nay - can't believe Bailz is one so soon! wow! it sounds like you've got everything sorted for the day

well, i'm gonna have to cut this short - i never seem to get out all the persies that i want to get out!

work day yesterday wasn't too bad. E went to mum's, and even though both DH and I were antsy about it all, she was happy. i've been taking her there for pretty much full days twice a week for about 2 months, so she is comfortable there. she smiled and waved to me as i left and was an angel all day. had a 20 min kip in the morning, 2.5 hour mid day sleep, and then slept on the way home. DH went to mow mum's lawns when he finished work, so he got there first. apparently he got a potato-ish smile when he arrived, and she kept eating. when i arrived, she furniture surfed to near the door, dropped to the floor to crawl and i thought she was happy to see me! she smiled, and crawled straight past me to the dogs! sigh... she eventually gave me a bit of a cuddle and was about to come down, but i offered boob. she got a case of whip lash when she flung back around to me! she slept well last night, which is good - and woke in a great mood today. it's gone a little down hill since then though - apparently i'm not allowed to pee or move from one side of the bench in the kitchen to the other - she has been seriously distressed by it all. tomorrow will be the day to see how she really goes i think...

as for me - work was BORING! i can't believe that, with over 12 months out of the workplace (well over) i can still remember all the stuff. the limits to my job now make me into little more than a glorified receptionist. i can do minimal stuff, but i will have to transfer most calls which will seriously drive me nuts. apparently cos i'm only going to be on two days a week, thats all i get to do. if i increase to three days later they'll contemplate training me back on the full job - but it's doubtful unless i go FT again. that's highly unlikely though. i did manage to catch up wtih friends, chat with the trainer, do some reading, email some friends... apparently my team leader (who used to live across the road and now only lives three streets away!) is so confident in my skills she wants me back on the phones tomorrow - my trainer won't have it unless i'm too bored - she said i'm entitled to 21 hours training, i should take it lol

Nay - I couldn't believe that after all the baby-proofing and always watching Kyson around hazards, it ended up being a balloon in the middle of an empty floor that gave him his first blood nose! *sigh* I guess no matter what we do there is no way to totally protect them. We just have to let them be little kids and be ready with the mummy-cuddles.
So awesome how Bailey is developing so rapidly at the moment. I can't wait until he gets his brace off to see what he does next!!

TM - I've heard that a lot of kids are either talkers or walkers. Sounds like Jade might be a little talker, whereas Kyson is a little walker. He says a few sounds that are like words ("mama", "dada", "dere"), but doesn't associate them with much yet. He occassionally gets rather chatty and noisy, but mostly he's a quiet little boy. Well except when he's cranky hehe.

Cathy - Sounds like Kyson and Cara are similar with their feeding. Have fun sorting photos!
I was going to watch that brestfeeding show, but it started when the dss's were eating dinner, and I thought it might put them off their meal, lol.

Vic - Sorry to hear that CJ is biting. Kyson has gottent he point and doesn't do it very often now. I tend to watch him much more closely when feeding him now just in case though.
Kyson tends to start getting cranky and I know he wants a feed, or he just walks up to me and starts pulling and ripping at my top, lol! Sometimes he even just leans in and starts trying to suck any part of my chest the might be showing hehe.
Oh, and that giraffe story is gorgeous. Although I think Kyson is a little confused because he's the most indepedent kid in my MG and Playgroup, but ALSO can be the sookiest and clingy. He wants to be both a girl AND boy giraffe, hehe.

BG - Sonds like E coped really well yesterday. I imagine that there can be some mixed emotions though. I'm sure you want her to be happy, but I imagine that it may be a little upsetting that she did ok without you, if you know what I mean. At the end of the day though, I think that the reason she did so well is because you are a wonderful mummy that has a great well-adjusted, brave and happy little girl


Another bf question for you girls. I'm trying to boost my supply yet again as it seems to be really affected by my upcoming af again. The other morning I went to feed Kyson and he couldn't even get anything! Granted it was only 2 hours since his last feed, and he was rather impatient about not getting let down, but I still freaked out a bit that he couldn't get any milk. Luckily I had expressed the night before (trying to boost supply) and had some in the fridge for him. Anyway, my question is.. What happens with your supply if a feed is cut out? I mean, I understand that you supply would go down to only make the amount of milk the baby is drinking, but I guess what I'm worried about is if I lose a feed during the day, will there be less milk at night when Kyson seems to need it more? He has bigger feeds during the night than during the day. I feel like at the moment I'm constantly fighting to increase my supply!

krystie im not bfing but im pretty sure if u cut a feed your supply will drop overall, so if u want it to be higher at night you might have to pump (and maybe keep it as a backup in fridge?) just before bed? sorry just guessing really...

was just wondering how many of you have decided '1 is enough'? i really dont think i will have any more, sometime i get clucky but with my pnd i really dont think it would be fair on jade or me if i have another, what do u guys think? just getting abit sad looking back on jades baby pics, were our babies ever that small?!

no way could i only just have one hence why im preg lol i really wanted jamie to have a playmate early on and then stop at only now im not so sure i only want 2 lol bit confusing i understand where ur coming from but at the same time wat happens if ur in a secure relationship and he wants a kid wat would u do then i suppose it depends on the situation my SIL said she'd never have another baby yet shes preg with her second now and she chose not to use contraception
and another thing PND doesnt always happen with all babies even if u've had it before

TM - I guess the good news is that you don't have to make a decision about whether or not to have another baby for a long time. You've got lots of potential baby making years ahead of you Even if you decide that right now you only want one, you can always change your mind later on. Oh, and my friend had pretty bad pnd with her first baby, but hasn't had it with her second, and her second is now 8 months old

As for me, well I would love to have many more babies, but DH says one more is the absolute limit. He would have stopped after Kyson if I hadn't wanted another one so badly. We already have his 2 other sons living with us as well, so I guess I'm already a mother of 3...

Krystie- Jemima is having 8-10 feeds a day and sometimes more so I don't think that is a problem. A lot of my gf are being told by there MCHN that bubs only needs 3 or so but not my bubba. As far as supply issues go you body gets very tricky in the months following those first engorged months. I was reading in the ABA magazine just yesterday about a mum whp goes away for a day at a time doesn't get engorged and then still feeds again straight away and she said other than once when her son got frustrated cos there was nothing there it has been fine. Our boobs seriously are changing! Give Kyson a hug for me hey?

BG- Glad to hear it all went well darling and that she coped so well. I second what Krystie said about her being so well adjusted but I would feel the same...... I wnt you to cope but I want you to miss me. Good job tho mum, it is our jobs to help them to grow to not need us. They will always want us tho.

Emma- I think that it is up to you if you want another little one. I would say that I think that forewarned is forearmed in regards to your pnd. With you next baby you woud know that is could be a problem for you and in regards to what you were saying last night on fb I have heard a lot of girls with pnd struggled to bf and it is quite common. Also it is possible to get medications to take that you can have with bf. the key would be to have a plan to cope next time with a good and caring dr who wants to be supportive. It wouldn't catch you by suprise, there would probably be less guilt because you would know that it isn't your fault it is just a disease. There are no doubt girls on here who have had similar fears and gone on to have healthy babies and be healthy themselves. I think that if it is something you want you should give yourself a chance and not have regrets as I think they are just as hard to live with in the end.

Jemimas had a shocker of a night last night. Upset tummy I think cos she wanted her legs tucked up against me and to have them rocked. I eventually brought her to be on the 6th wake up at about 1am and she wriggled and whimpered all night... today she would only sleep if I slept with her... knackered but going to go to Zumba tonight. I honestly came back bouncing on monday I even ran up the steps.... good to have a feeling of energy!!

Hi girls, another quick post because I have to get to bed.
Phoebe has an ear infection, poor bugger, and on top of that I've an inkling she's allergic to the ABs. She has a faint rash on her tummy - I just noticed before putting on her pjs. I feel dreadful DH is going to take her to the Drs tomorrow to check it out. She's been so miserable and was only starting to pick up this afternoon.
And the rest of us got gastro. It has been a crap few days. I have had so little sleep and am still feeling a bit woolly from chucking my guts up all day yesterday. Thank God for mum who took Phoebe for most of the day and cuddled her cause there's no chance I could've.
Anyway, just telling you why I've been absent. Hopefully I'll get a chance to pop in tomorrow and post properly. If not, Happy Birthday wishes to Bailey for Friday!

Nay- The quilt making has come to a bit of a standstill at the moment. It didn't work out how I planned it, so going to try something new. Awesome that Bailey is on the move. I knew that brace would not stop him! He's a champ!

Krystie- Poor Kyson re his fall. I could imagine that your heart skipped a beat or two.

Lee- Bugger to hear that work was boring, and it's good that E had a settled day.

Vic- Ouch re the biting. Sorry I can't give you any advice, but fingers are crossed it stops soon.

Nicky- Sorry to hear your Dad had a setback. Have they given a diagnosis yet?

Amy- Sorry to hear Phoebe is not well. Poor little princess.

Emma- I always said I wouldn't have anymore after Jake and Zac, but I ended up changing my mind. There is 5 years between the twins and Logan. You don't have to make up your mind now. Just enjoy Jade, and the rest you will figure out later. I didn't have PND, but I had a rough trot through my pregnancy and after the boys were born. When I was 6 months pregnant, my Dad passed away from cancer. I was in a terrible marriage, and I left the boys' Dad when they were 6 months old. He only saw them for about a year after we split, and hasn't seen them since. You have overcome your PND in leaps and bounds, and you love Jade to death and she loves you.

AFU, Logan is not eating solids. He will only drink his bottle. I'm guessing it's his teeth. He spends 90% of the day with his dummy in his mouth, and is chewing on absolutely everything! I noticed the other day that he has all of a sudden gotten heaps taller. He learnt how to clap hands today, but doesn't understand what to do when I say "clap hands" He is still using his hands alot to see things, which all kids with low vision do.

was just wondering how many of you have decided '1 is enough'? i really dont think i will have any more, sometime i get clucky but with my pnd i really dont think it would be fair on jade or me if i have another, what do u guys think? just getting abit sad looking back on jades baby pics, were our babies ever that small?!

I feel like I have another baby in me - but just one though Sometimes - usually when I am sleep deprived and over it, I cant imagine wanting to go though it all again. but mostly I cant wait to be pregnant again, and give birth, and enjoy those newborn snuggles. Not quite ready yet though. I want Bailey to be older, a bit more independent and his hip issues to be well behind us!

I agree with the others Em, don't restrict yourself by making any decisions now, see what the future holds one way or the other

Hi everyone! How are we all.
Srry I've not been in as much.
No rel diagnosis yet... they are still looking at lot of things including a bone infection! Dad's good most of the time, but has little set backs every now and then. He won't be out of hospital this week that's for sure. He's been in a week today.

I've got a question for working mummies..... I've just seen a part time job advertised in a bank about 30 minutes from me (hah that's close!) that I doubt too many would apply for. It's in a tiny hick town. I'm interested in heading back to work soon on a part time basis, but I am worried that we'd be worse off than we are now. The kids would need to go into child care when I am at work as I have noone else to look after them. I assume I'd lose a bit (if not all) of my FTB payments.... Would it be worth it? I have no idea what the going rate as a CSO in a bank would be? How are you working Mums finding it?
