J - Good luck with the scan tomorrow - it seems so long ago I was going for CJ's 12 week scan.
Amy - I think I feel ok about going back fulltime - it was always going to happen at some point because I can earn a lot more than DH so if we want to ever move out of our 2 bed flat and stay in this area it is me that needs to be working. I was hoping to go back part time in old job because money was good for part time and have good maternity but seeing as that has gone by the by, it makes sense for DH to go part time if he can. We have talked about him being a full time SAHD but he needs to stay in a job for a decent amount of time (his record up to now is to change about once a year, he has never found a job he loves and I think we are realising that he probably never will, so just need something he doesn't hate) because if we want more children I will want to have another year off so he needs to be in a job. So maybe SAHD after number 2 - he is very domesticated and the house will be kept in much better order than it is now because I am rubbish with housework and spend any free time doing craft stuff!!!
Naomi - Thanks for the comments about Optus, DH is speaking to his boss about possibilities for later in the year next week. I don't think working from home is an option but in reality has he is just on the phone on incoming there isn't any continuity from day to day required if you see what I mean so I would have thought is ideal for part time. Also he has heard they may be after part time for later in year to cover busy periods anyway.
Mmm off to bed (I meant to write more but got distracted by the footy show!)
everything is a ok baby is measuring close to dates and has a heartbeat of 158 BPM i'll share pics when i have them

Amy- I normally have a semi-routine especially when the boys are at school. I've been a bit slack over the holidays though. :redface: Can you make me a Baileys like Naomi's one?

AFU, I think Logans top teeth are moving. He's been cranky, and not eating much solid food, and chewing on anything and everything. It's 3 more sleeps until school starts, and the boys are looking forward to it. We'll see what they are like in another 5-10 years.

Bridg - How cute that the boys are still at the age where they look forward to going to school. My DSS's would be mroe than happy if the school burnt to the ground and they didn't have to go, lol!

J - Congrats on the great scan. I love baby ultrasounds. Although it's early and bub's had it's legs crossed, I'm sure you must have been trying to look ;)
Vic - WHilst you may not be perfect with they housework, your crafty-ness and mothering are top-notch! :) It's really good to read that you have a good/positive attitude about heading back to work. Hopefully that will make things much easier when you start back (although tears are still ok if you need ;) ).
Nic - That's super news about Aaron's HC! Finger's crossed for the blood test and the skin test when you finally get the results. Hopefully after the results come back you'll finally get a chance to breathe out instead of having to hold your breath all the time!

Cathy - Seriously I have no idea how you look after 4 kids without help. Super mummy!!! I still bounce Kyson to sleep for his naps, and I bounce him until he is on the edge of sleep at night and then pop him in his cot slightly awake. Sometimes he nods off straight away, other times I have to stay with him while he carries on for a while. Sometimes a "while" is considerably longer than I would hope for, lol.
I hope Laura had a wonderful birthday!
BG - Would have been great if you could come to Kyson's birthday (I would love it if each and every one of you could come), but I totally understand that you can't make it. Hopefully I'll make it out to your neck of the woods sometime soon! :D
Your easter pics are so cute. I swear that egg was as big as E's head! Sorry to hear that there were some family problems, but I hope you still thoroughly enjoyed yourselves nonetheless.
Bella - How cute are baby steps?! Kyson never wants to crawl anymore, and even when he's playing with tpys he tends to prefer to stay on his feet even if it means he has to bend right over to play. Sorry to hear that sleep is an issue with J at the moment. Kyson's teeth have been coming quickly too so I sympathise with you on that one. Hopefully her 6th tooth will pop out soon and you'll get a little rest before any more decide to come!
Nay - So far I adore the photos of Bailey's playroom! Gosh I wish that we had a spare room that could be Kyson's playroom. I've thought about making his nursery more of a playroom, but I'm worried that he'll associate his room less with sleep if I did that... Also, I guess once the next baby comes along and is sharing the nursery that there'll be no room for it to be a playroom. Looks like we'll have to stick with our lounge room doubling as a playroom, lol.
I saw my FS on Wednesday. I'm still between cycles at the moment, but assuming that the karyotyping tests come back normal (they were meant to be back already, but got held up over easter. Should be back in a week) then I'll start another antagonist cycle when AF arrives. I think I ovulated yesterday or the day before, so it should be less than two weeks away. He was surprised at the number of embies with chromosome problems, but still thinks that it's just bad luck and thinks our tests will come back normal. He wants to try for more eggs, and therefore a greater chance of getting a healthy embie for us this time. I asked how many eggs he was aiming for and he said "about 20, but don't tell anyone that", lol! Guess I already let the cat out of the bag now, hehe. I don't think they are meant to aim for more than 12ish, but I'm happy to take the extra risk to get more this time.

Oh, not sure how long Kyson is, but he's definitely had a growth spurt recently. He used to be able to walk under my computer desk without hitting his head, and now he is at least a couple of cm taller than the bottom of the desk. Also, WII Fit has told me that he has put on 700g in the last 15 days and he now weighs 10.9kg! We have his 12 month check up on the 7th May so I'll get the "official" stats then ;)
Hmmm, my little treasure has learnt how to bite while feeding!!! He now has 5 teeth (last two came up within two days). A couple of days ago he bit me while feeding and managed to draw blood. It was only a little bit, and I think it was an accident, but I made sure he knew it was not on. Then yesterday morning I was watching him feed and saw him purposely bite down. I yelled at him and put him straight down on the floor. He cried. I felt bad but I know he needs to learn this one quickly! I only let him cry a few seconds then explained to him that he's not allowed to bite and that he hurt mummy (I know he can't understand yet, but I figure it's a good practice to begin). Then I told him he could come back for more milk. He came back, sucked 2-3 times then bit again! Back down on the floor with mummy yelling "Uh uh! Ouch! No biting!". That time I "shut up shop" and after I explained he hurt me yadda yadda I told him he could come back for a cuddle. He crawled over, climbed up my legs and stood for a snuggle. He bit again that evening at my mum's house, and then again today at mother's group. It hurts, but the thing I'm finding hardest is that I'm sort of scared while feeding him now. I watch him feeding and when I see his mouth do something different I tend to flinch and pull him away even though he probably wasn't going to bite. I think I just need to not watch while he feeds, and if he bites then I just deal with him and the pain. The worry of being bitten, and my flinching is making let-down come slower and probably making the feeds harder for the both of us. I can see why some woman who may be thinking about weaning would do so as soon as bub's starts biting. I am determined we are going to get through this though!
Jacinta- Some people have been known to find the sex of the baby out at 12 weeks. Are you going to find out?
Krystie- lol. Your funny. Do the DSS's live with you full time? I could imagine how hard it would be getting them motivated to go to school. Ouch re the biting while feeding. Sorry I don't have any practical advice as I have never been in the position. Good luck with the EPU and I will have everything crossed that this round is 'the' round and you get your little bubba.
AFU, Logans sleeping is absolutely terrible at the moment! At night, I have a feeling it's to do with teeth, but he has also been peeing heaps and heaps. He wet through a MCN night nappy with a booster! :o I'm hoping that when the boys are back at school and we are back into the routine, that this will all settle down.
I may not be lurking for the next few days. I have a HEAP of sewing I need to get done, so I can start selling.

Nic: Great news re Aaron's HC! And boo to you for not coming in to visit me, LOL! I could've used the stimulation - Thursday was a very slow day. I hope today was just wonderful. Had beautiful weather for Aaron's naming day! I was at a baptism today and it was glorious.
Jacinta: Brilliant, I'm so pleased the u/s went well! They should be able to get a good geez between bubs' legs at your 20 week one though, eh? Phoebe wasn't particularly co-operative at hers, but they still got a pretty good idea.
Vic: Sounds like a great plan re work in the future. Do you think you guys will stop after bub #2? It would be fabulous to live with someone who's 'domesticated', LOL! DH has no respect for our place, not even his very expensive camera gear that he leaves lying around the joint. I am by no means a clean freak, but sometimes I just wish he gave half as much of a crap as I do. Ooh, sorry... rant over. Didn't realise that venom was in there until I started spurting it out!

KL: Ooooh, so sorry about the biting. That sucks. I think that's all you can do - just keep taking him off if he does it and he'll grow out of it soon enough. Fortunately Phoebe has only bitten me a couple of times and that was very tentatively - like she knew it was the wrong thing to do but couldn't control herself and just needed to give it a go, KWIM? And I just took her off and put the boob away. But it wasn't hard enough to draw blood! Yep, you'll make it through. Just another of those delightful phases.
Ah, I know I am constantly saying how I'm struggling with Natty, but it keeps going from bad to worse. Today she actually jumped onto the road at my parents' place (it is a main thoroughfare. Fortunately there were no cars coming past). She is obsessed with jumping off things and I know she just wanted to jump off the curb. The thing that pi$$ed me off though was that when I said her name she just ignored me and stayed on the road. I had to physically go and pick her up and boy, I let rip at her! Poor thing was in tears, but I couldn't believe how naughty she was to ignore me in such a situation.
I think I am needing to go to a parenting in-service at the CC centre, or a course or something. I am needing more tools in my parenting toolkit! It is getting easier to leave DH to put P to bed at night so I might try to find an evening one soon.
I'd best go run a bath for the chicks.
Amy - Don't beat yourself up babe, I've never come across a perfect toddler yet, or a perfect parent. I remember running across our street when I was 'bout three after it had been re-bitumised (or however its spelt), I left footprints in the road - I reckon my Mum was bordering on murdering me :o Doesn't change the fact that she's a great Mum and so are you! It's ok to have spastic parenting moments that you wish you'd handled differently - and you know what, you'll have plenty more before your kids are grown, as will the rest of us.
I've been thinking of buying the Toddler Tactics book - Bailey is already testing us, and I figure as its all new territory I might as well arm myself with as much info as I can :D

Oh Amy, I can feel your toddler induced pain!!!! Lachie is fricking SHOCKING lately! He also enjoys jumping and ignoring. He always ignores me, even in dangerous situations. It's doing my head in.
I don't know what to do with him, and I'm hoping that it's a phase he will grow out of.... SOON! Luckily we don't live anywhere near a road (LMAO), but then I find that that's also a bad thing because he doesn't really know much about roads even though everytime we go near one, I bend down dna try to explain to him how dangerous it is and that he must hold Mummy or Daddy's hand if he's near one. Ah.... the joys. Hopefully when #2 gets to that age, we'll know exactly how to handle it.
Hi everyone! Not much happening really, apart from me trying to kill myself playing netball! haha. Had our first game Yesterday and I played pretty welkl I thought for 11 years off! Got nearly all my goals in which was good. We didn't win... we got flogged. We are the bottom team for the last few years though... LOL. I'm happy to just get out there and have fun while getting fit really (and having some me time is always a bonus). The kids went with Mum to watch as hubs was off chopping wood for this winter with my Dad. Let's just say, we won't be taking them again until they reach an age where they can behave.... 25 maybe?? LOL
It's freezing! I can't believe the temp difference in one week! This coming week we are supposed to have nights down around 4-5 degrees! We will have the fire going tomorrow no doubt for the first time this year. Will have to make sure I get all the blankets out of storage too.

Nicky, glad it is not just mine who is a little feral atm :lol: I can't imagine having Natty at a netball game, particularly if I were on the court! A man got up in church yesterday and said he had tickets to the easter show for an adult and 2 kids that he couldn't use and wanted to give away. My friend next to me said, 'There you go!' to which I replied, 'I would rather shove hot needles into my eyeballs'.
Wowwee, that is mighty cold! We have had such BEAUTIFUL weather the last couple of days and it gets just cool enough overnight for a doona :) Today was spectacular. Mum took me up to Palm Beach and we had lunch (that was after I met up with the ILs for 2nd breakfast!) and we had a play in the park. Phoebe was soooooo cute - I will have to post some pics on FB as I got a couple of beauties on my phone. She was playing in the sand and dirt and having a ball.
Well, I am off to bed as tomorrow is actually going to be a busy one at work... No more lounging around waiting for the phone to ring and playing on BB :)

Oh Amy, the hot needles in the eyeballs... I do think similar things when people suggest certain activities for the kids. LOL. I always just smile and do one of those "got nothing nice to say so I will just chuckle" giggles.

It's gotten really cold so we've had the fire going the last 12 hours. It's an open fireplace too, so last year Adam made an awesome fireguard that is impenetrable. LOL. Allira's actually been quite good and after hovring for the hour or so last night, hasn't really gone near it again today thankfully.
Me, I've just started using the calorie king website. My exercise has been going really well, and I am so much fitter than I was this time last year, but It's not taking the weight away as I would like, so I decided once and for all to try my first "dietry change". If only I was 18/19/20 again where I didn't have to worry about what I ate... I miss being a skinny mini.
So I'm on day 2 today. Am hoping to lose 5 kgs by my Birthday in July, but we'll see.
Allira seems to be teething again. Will be up to tooth number 5 soon. She cut her top 2 teeth on Easter Sunday. No idea which tooth will pop through next.. there are quite a few ready to erupt at any minute. As long as they are as painless as possible.
Ok enough waffle from me. I have children to wrangle.

hi all, i was in thw may 1-15 thread but my girl came 8 days late on may 18 so i prob belong in here (and came in on BG's advice)!!
my DD seems to be quite far behind in everything (height, weight, development) and have 'wagged' 2 MCHN visits cause im freaked out what they will say!!
jade has just started commando crawling but refuses to hold her own weight when held up by her hands...she used to but now bends at the hips wanting to sit down....
she is saying mama and dada but dont think theyre directed at us in particular yet...
and she is 71cm long and 8kg (below 25th% in charts)...
oh and she still; has 5 bottles a day and sleeps like crapola... :(
feeling very sorry for myself atm cause i feel like its all my fault DD is behind cause i had horrendous PND and was hospitalised, and didnt bond with DD til she was 6 months and think thats why shes behind...
oh well looking forward to knowing you ladies :)

and girls are sometimes small i know heaps my neice was still wearing 00 after she was one so she cant have been very big
