Hi T_M!
Don't feel guilty!!! All these babies do things at different ages. My son walked before he crawled, and he was 8.4kgs@ 12 months. Tiny, considering he was a touch under 9lbs at birth. Forgot to add, he as still feeding 5 times a night until 11 months of age, and didn't really ever sleep through the night until after he was 12 months old.
Try not to base your child on what everyone else's are doing. They are all so unique.
Welcome to our group! I hope you enjoy it in here... we're all a pretty chatty bunch, but these girls are the loveliest I have ever come across online.

Hey Ladies
T_M: Welcome to the group! :) Your little bub look sso cute! Lots of hair! Feel free to add me to facebook if you wish (Cathy Sies - a lot of us Mummies are on there). I agree with JwithJ they are all different. Don't compare your baby with others. My eldest Yasmin took ages to put on weight. She was about 7.85kg at 1 year old! (I just checked my baby book) In contrast my nearly 11mth old is nearly 13kg probably by now! LOL Yasmin weighed about that at 3yrs of age!! As for Laura...she slept through FINALLY at 3yrs! She used to wake up once, and I'd have to go to her bed and settle her again! Becoming a big sister made her grow up heaps I believe.
Amy: We all have sucky moments as parents sometimes. I know I have! And all toddlers have run off at some point. Sometimes it's scary! Do you recall me telling you when Laura got out of the lift at the carpark at the hospital? Arghhh Don't worry we'll get them back one day when we're old and senile hehe
Tooth no 7 has arrived for Cara...and the sleepless nights continue. :) She is soooo cute at the moment though. She's really communicating with us. Pointing and gesturing. She plays a game in the bath at night with Laura and me. I sit on the floor and watch them and Laura gives me "your favourite drink Mummy, coffee milk" LOL and hands it to me in a little pink plastic tea cup (full of bath water ofcourse lol). And now Cara is copying her and handing me the pink cup too (with a big smile on her face hehe).
Just started to pick her up by the arms last night and spin her around a little..she LOVED it hehe
Laura loves to play with the dolls house with her and they play this game with the pop up wiggles tent. Laura goes in there and says "Hello, come in!" and Cara follows her in hehe. They play this every day.

TM- Hey! Welcome! Your NOT a bad mummy. I know how you feel about your child being behind. Logan is behind in a few things.
AFU, I have been lurking, so keeping an eye on everyone. I might get back in tonight and post if I get some time. VA are coming tomorrow with their orthoptist, so have some tidying up to do.

thanks girls i feel a bit better :)
yes jade was born 7pd15oz so we thought she would be a decent size by now but mustve just been born big cause i ate so much cheesecake haha
my baby buddies is very quiet cause alot of the girls have gone back to work or dont use BB now, ive decided to do EN at tafe starting june, fingers crossed i get in, it will be hard but worth it
any other single mums in here?
cathy ill add u to FB my names Emma Softly for those who dont have me (think i have krystie, jacinta and lee already) just let me knowe youre from BB ....and yeah jade was born with tonnes of hair it was dark brown then it went red now its strawberry blonde and aslmost to her shoulders!
-
hi Em - and welcome to one of the chattiest baby buddies around! lol. please don't blame yourself for Jades size - i've seen pics and she looks healthy. she is just dainty. if you're worried though (and it seems you are) get her checked and see what they have to say. she is a happy little girl, and i would think if there was anything major wrong, she wouldn't be such a happy poppet!
with the sleep thing - as i mentioned on FB, E was sleeping through before but now there is no hope in hell she'll sleep through. she feeds at least twice between midnight and 6am, some nights it's hourly. i honestly can't find a singular cause - it's just the way she is!
Bridg - good luck with the VA visit - hope you can get some help for Logan. that reminds me, really shoudl look at what they have on their site for DH's probs.
sorry for no other persies - tired day today. been out with mum. had a few stresses the last couple of days as someone i know IRL nearly lost his wife and DS to a uterine rupture. it's been playing on my mind lots. went to see his Mum today to check up on them - bub has been flown to melb, and both parents are now in hospital (her with the issues from the c/s - her heart stopped twice during the surgery) and him with crippling back pain. bub is doing ok, but having probs with his lungs (was 5 or 6 weeks early). it's really gotten to me though as DH and I have been talking about going back and i know i have a tendancy to weird scarring.
work starts next Tuesday - still not sure how i feel. it's like its not real yet. i think Monday will see me an absolute mess! oh well, thems the breaks!
E is going to specialist for her eyes on May 5 - less than a month to go!

Hi All,
Krystie- J was biting heaps a while ago. Some really good advice I was given was to be really aware of positioning. They can't really bite when their tounge is extended around the nipple. I noticed that J would pull back off the nipple when she was at the end of a feed. She would have a pretty full belly and would just want to play. She would even kinda think it was funny cos she got a reaction from me. I learnt to watch her and when the nipple was beginning to come out of her mouth I would remove it. If she was really determined I would let her back on but I kept a close eye. I really relate to feeling that sense of fear. When J bit me I was left with a small inflammation that really hurt near the nipple crease and bf alone hurt let alone if she bit. What you are doing taking it away is right. He will learn. My grandmother who raised 7 babies advised me to give a little flick to the cheek immediately if a baby bit. I was really skeptical about that but did do it one night in desperation and almost reflex cos she really hurt me. I say that very hesitantly cos I don't condone violence to children, but when I mentioned it to Barb the LC on here she said "grandma probably had a very good point". Anyway keep persisting, he is a very smart lil boy and you too will work it out.
Emma- You know honey I think that your baby is doing just fine. There is such a difference between all the babies on here. I feel from your post that you are really punishing yourself because maybe you feel there is something that you should be or should have done that you didn't because of your PND. I would like to say catagorically that that is a negative thought that is punishing your psychy. You are not to blame! PND is a horrible disease and you are no more to blame for having it than you would be if you had broken your leg and couldn't play with Jade for a time.Too be honest I don't think that there sounds like there is anything wrong with Jade unless you really think that there is. In which case go get it checked. But don't let anyone get you too caught up with growth charts and that crap. They are a guide. The best assessments are made on whether they are happy and have energy. I may sound like I am a bit passionate about this and for you Emma. I guess I am because I think I may have Post traumatic Stress from my C/section. I have struggled with all my thoughts revolving around what happened to me and how I can make it stop hurting. On my bad days I worry that I don't give Jemima enough focused attention. On my good days I am thankful that I am healing and I know it isn't what I chose for myself. I believe that every struggle gives us things to pass on to our kids we wouldn't have had without it. So hug your new found knowledge about yourself and PND to your self and know you will be a better more compassionate person either now or in the future and that will be your gift to Jade. PS.. Einstein didn't talk till aged 4....... if you were to think about what the MCHN would have said to his mother it probably would make you giggle
AFM- Mima is sleeping all over the shop and is suddenly waking up during o/n feeds and wanting to stay awake.... ggrrr!!! She is also walking everywhere. I have to watch so carefully in public. Couple of days ago we went to a beachside cafe and she was walking up to ppl and talking to them. Or mostly their children. She is a lil charmer. I was watching when someone said to me that she had something in her mouth. She will spit things out when she is asked. Anyway she had a piece of glass in her mouth. Oh my heart just about stopped!! She is just so quick to pick things up now. She now has 7 teeth and another on the way. the last 5 have come in the last 2 months so it has been really hard.
I have also started Zumba. It is that latin american/hip hop sorta excersise classes. I LOVED it!! It was the first class in my town and there were 80 odd chicks there. It felt like a night club with dim lights and disco lights going. Lots of fun and something I could actually find fun and keep going to I think. I took some really gross Before photos in the raw last night PMSL! and am hoping that I can come up with some nicer ones showing some weight loss in a few months.
Alright my couch is calling
Love you all
Bella

TM - Welcome and like the other girls said, it sounds like you are a great Mum and our babies come in all shapes and sizes, and they all do things in their own time. My DS Bailey has always been the littlest baby, here in our forum and in my mothers group locally too. It has caused me worry, but he is healthy, happy and growing at a steady rate so I've learnt (after much worry) that this is him, and to enjoy having a lighter baby to carry around, and one that fits in his little clothes for longer. Bailey was 8.5 kg at his last weigh (which was at 10.5 months) and he might possibly crack the 9kg by his first birthday next week. He has only just started to bear his weight on his legs also, so don't be too concerned mate. I think as mothers we are so damn hard on ourselves sometimes and it sounds like you are doing a great job, under some pretty tough circumstances babe so I applaud you! Stick around in our thread, my fellow belly buddies are the most awesome, supportive and wonderful group of Mum's and they've supported me through meltdowns, tough times and always lend an ear and advice when needed. Also, love your tag - balancing Motherhood and metal - LOVE it! My DH is a Metalhead (and in one of the local metal bands here in Adelaide) so its nice to have another rocking Mumma about the place! Look me up on FB - Naomi Graetz :D
Gals - I'll be back tomorrow for more persies, but just wanted to say BG big hugs and smoochies as you go through the return-to-work journey. If I lived closer I'd come and give you a big squishy hug and then steal some of your delicious veggies from your garden LMAO
I'm off to bed, work was out of control busy today, I interviewed 3 people and two were totally useless, it did my head in. I have this A4 list of things to do/get organised before Baileys party next weekend so will be pretty busy this week and next, so might as well get some sleep while I can :)

BG- Thanks, and I will let everyone know how we go. I can ask Logans case manager tomorrow if she can contact you and even have a chat. She is a lovely lady. Less than a month til you see James?! God that has gone quick!
Emma- Im gonna come steal your DD, coz she is just absolutely gorgeous! After I steal her, Im gonna go to everyone else's house and steal their bubbas. I was a single mum before I met DH. I left the twins father when they were 6 months old, and met DH when they were just over 2.
Logan has been having cows milk on his weetbix in the mornings, and out of a cup. For some reason he wouldn't drink the formula, so tried to wean him onto cows milk. Would only drink straight cows milk. Didn't sleep well for a week or so, so swapped him back last night, and he is sleeping through again.

thanks Bridg! i didn't get to look at the VA website last night - piked and went to bed just as Miss E woke and had a MAMMOTH meltdown - not fun at all! took nearly an hour to resettle her - she woke for a feed a couple of hours later, and then again at 5.14 (yes, i looked at teh clock), and refused to resettle again until somewhere between 7 and 7.30. i refuse to start my day at 5am if she's had a bad day, so i persisted and we just laid in bed - her talking to me a while, rolling over and talking to daddy, and us trying to doze in between. i crashed big time when she did though! she woke up at 9 and has been in a painful mood - screamed on waking, and is not being a defiant ratbag! can't wait til nap time so i can actually have five minutes to get myself some breakfast! she has refused everything but breast milk this morning so i think her gums may be giving her grief -but i can't feel or see any sore spots.
Emma - Cathy is also a single mum, and as Bridg said, she's been there before. don't let that define you or make you feel any different to anyone else. you're a MUM - that's what we all are. the support you will get in this thread has no limits based on marital/relationship status. if you need support, you'll get it!
Nay - thanks for the offer of hugs. i really do think i'm in denial about what is going to happen next week. for the most part, i KNOW E will be ok. she loves her daddy, she loves her grandparents. i don't think she'll lose it unless she gets over tired and mummy isn't there. i cried with her last night when i finally got her calmed enough to feed. DH asked why - i said to him " you were here, you were holding her, and it wasn't enough. she needed me - what if that happens and i'm not here - i don't want her to feel abandoned". but i know part of it was because i was in the ensuite and she could hear me and lost it. i am sure if i'm not here, she will be fine taking comfort from DH/Granma.
Bella - that is scary re the glass! E is quick like that too (though she still needs hands to walk anywhere - so at least i know what she's up to!). the other night, my nephew stayed over. he was playing with blocks on the floor with E, and said to me that she had something in her mouth. i got it out, and before i could even get it right out of her mouth, he said to me it looked like blutak. it WAS blutak - and there is nowhere in our living areas she could get it! i asked him where he'd gotten it and he said he wasn't responsible for it - i worked out later where it came from (the back of our toilet door - E has never been in there!) so i KNOW he was responsible. so now i face the notion that i can't trust him not to lie to me (he's 8), i can't trust him to be safe around E - i was only metres from them, watching him build with the blocks, so i have NFI what happened. thankfully it wasn't a nasty ending - but it could have been and that freaks me out!
argh - she's into something again - better go sort her out!
-
Hopefully I'll be back for persies a bit later, but wanted to say 'hi' to Emma just before Kyson wakes up.
I love looking at Jades photos on facebook and think she is an absolute doll! My best friend's daughter has similar hair to Jade (slightly shorter, but she's younger too) and has fun putting little clips in it, lol. I don't think you should worry about her weight and other stats. From what I see on fb, she appears to be a very healthy and happy little girl. There are two girls in my mother's group that both have tiny little petite girls as well. One of them is eensy-weensy and starting to stand up and I wonder how her tiny little ankles manage to hold her weight ;) My Kyson seems to be rather quick at things like crawling and walking (and now running! *sigh*), but he's still having between 6-10 breastfeeds a day, wakes 3 hourly overnight for feeds, and hasn't said any words yet. Like jade, he makes "mama" and "dada" sounds, but it's using them as proper words yet. He seems to understand the words though, because if I say "Where's dada?" he'll look towards, or walk to his dad... I'm sure he'll talk in his own time.
As for the PND, there is no way you can blame yourself for that, or for not feeling able to bond with your daughter to begin with. It is a horrible disease and something that you never asked for. My best friend had it with her first child and when she was pregnant with her second she said that she would "chop off her own right foot" if it could guarantee that she wouldn't get it again after the birth. Now that you have bonded with Jade, I'm sure that your relationship with her will get stronger and stronger. It sounds to me like you are doing a wonderful job of being a mummy.
Oh, and I've come to take anything the MCHN's tell me with a grain of salt. I got in trouble from one when I told her we were doing baby-led solids. Kyson was 8 months at the time and I had given him pasta and she told me off because the "chart" said I can't give pasta to him until 9 months... As if 1 month makes some magical difference!!! She also rolls her eyes at me when she asks about his sleeping arrangement and hears that he still co-sleeps for half the night. You don't even want to know her suggestions when she found out he was still waking 3 hourly for feeds. Last visit she asked how his sleeping was going and I just said "he's doing fine" and left it at that. If it doesn't worry me, then why should it worry her?! Ok, I should stop ranting and go get the shopping out of the car before Kyson wakes up. Welcome to our lovely thread! :)

Hello Emma - my DD is a big girl, but in my Mothers group there are two girls who are both very petite about 3 percentile and they are doing great - someone has to be petite to make the average what it is. My DD isn't moving at all yet, she will be the last in MG and is the last in this Baby Buddies group too I think - it is hard when you see all the others moving but is just her personality and probably her size too.
Krystie - Someone told me that wakeful babies reach there milestones sooner, and sounds like Kyson fits that mould! Unlike CJ who is a great sleeper but not a mover, I think she is going to be a talker not a walker actually as she seems to be really having conversations with me (in a Mr Bean or Donald Duck voice) with the odd word thrown in e.g. apple. DH was an early talker and could mimic any word by about 13 months apparently - he still is a very good mimic.
BG - glad you saved the bluetak, I have had to fish a few things out of CJ's mouth that have all been entirely my fault - e.g. rubber discs off bottom of mousemat, plastic tags from shopping etc. I really need to learn to be less of a slob - but I really think you are either genetically neat and tidy or you aren't - DH is and I am not and seems the harder I try the worse I get.
After two nights with night terrors last night was terror free but with a wake up at 3:00am - I am finding it hard to go back to sleep if get woken at the moment which is very unusual for me - maybe I will have to stop drinking coffee I only have one a day but perhaps it is having effect even though never has done before.
Anyway have to go hang out washing while CJ is asleep. Washing is certainly less fun when weather not so good. DH is out at soccer tonight so will be back in later - I keep losing posts which is most annoying, and also have a been a bit MIA because I have gone into creative crafty recycling overdrive!

Ok, I promise I will come in later and do persies.
I was thinking last night, that since we won't all get to make it to everyone's bubbas birthdays, that we could do a KK but birthday style???
I was also thinking that at our meet up in October, that I could make and bring some cupcakes and candles and we could have a mini birthday party??

Morning mummas and bubbas. Typing 1 handed as Logan is trying to help.
BG- Miss E isn't having a wonder week is she? Logan has been absolutely feral these last few days.
AFU, Have been busy sewing. Logan has been feral so not much else has been done. The other night he did sleep 12 hrs though. He woke once in the middle of the night, so Leigh put him in bed with us, and he slept til he woke at 7.40am. Didn't happen last night though. I tried to dress him when I went to bed, and he woke, so then wanted a bottle and ended up in with me for the night. Leigh had already fallen asleep in the chair.

Hi girls! Not much happening...
Taking the kids in to visit my Dad today. He was admitted to hospital with pancreatitis last night. Apparently morphine helped a little, but they dosed him up most of the night. He was strapped to a BP machine which went off every 15 mintues though... so didn't sleep well.
My parents have never been in hospital before and my poor Dad will be bored out of his scone. My Mum has to specially go out and buy him a pair of PJ's haha. No idea how long he will be in for.
I'm buggered from Netty training last night... the drive to and from was worse though (200km round trip).
Anyway, get these kids off to bed for their day sleep now and once they wake up we'll do another 200kms+. LOL.
Lucky I have cruise control.
xx

Good Morning girls!
I am so loving this weather!! Such a relief after all the hot sticky days. If it could stay like this all year round, maybe rain once a week, I'd be happy. :)
Nicky: Sorry to hear about your Dad. Hope he recovers soon!
Bridg: What's a KK? I really need to get with it with the new terms hehe I don't have a mobile phone anymore either...so I would be all about of touch with sms speak too hehe
Lucky you for having Logan sleep through 12 hrs! Now if you can just teach Cara hehe
Vic: I am a slob. My photos may look like the house is tidy, but I just tidy it up so you can't see the crap in the background lol. I think I take after my Dad, he's relaxed type, and a bit of a slob. My Mum is very organised and tidy. I tidy my house up and it looks acceptable enough even though I'm exhausted cleaning it all day, and then it gets massively messed up for the next day or so, and I'm too stuffed/lazy to bother with it. And then I do it ALL OVER AGAIN..drives me nuts. About twice a week I am picking up a lot of crap! And I'm lazy the rest of the time! Laura is the main culprit with toys all over the floor/house..but even 10 and 13 year olds leaves shoes, socks, papers and crap everywhere! Not to mention THEIR ROOMS! (Esp Yassie) The good thing is, once they get older you can get them to do some chores hehe. Every weekend, either Yassie or Ronan mop and vacum the lounge/hall...LOVE IT hehe They wash dishes for me once a week too (I did have them doing it every night once...but they moaned so much....I do it most of the time now). A nice VERY un greenfriendly tip, if you want a break now and then, get paper plates! How lazy am I! Ok..now the greenies are gonna be after me. But I tell you, as a single Mum with NO time off, no babysitters EVER, no family nearby...I need abreak now and then.
I hope Cerys recovers from the night terrors soon. Maybe too active an imagination? Must be a smart kid I reckon! I don't think coffee (esp 1 or 2 a day..which is all I have) would make any difference. Just a phase she is going through I guess. My kids were all around 18mths or so before I remember that stage.
Cara is very chatty like it sounds Cerys is. All my kids have been big talkers. I am sure books help and talking to them a lot. Cara just LOVES books. WIll go into Laura's room and raid the book box lol She turns the pages now.
Bel: Scary re Jemima's glass in the mouth! I've had 4 babies...and they have all at some point got stuff stuck in their mouths or been in a scary situation. The good thing with having two older ones is they will notice too. Laura had stuff in her mouth probably up to 10 or more times and always freaked me out, but kids were watching and told me too if she had stuff in her mouth. Haven't seen anything major in Cara's mouth yet..a toy coin (which I thought I had put away). I have given her the big whack between the shoulders after almost choking on food once too.
As for the post traumatic stress after your caesar. I can totally relate to that. I had a bad caesar with my first baby and was disappointed I couldn't give birth naturally (though happy to have a healthy breech baby delivered safely). It changed me wanting to have any more children for some time (around 6mths) after Yasmin was born. I felt down again when told I had to have a caesar with Laura. But she was breech like her sister, so I accepted it. I freaked that they would get the anaesthetic wrong again though!! My partner gave them a good talking to before the operation! I had the perfect caesar. Laura came into the world with Robbie Williams playing in the theatre (i got to pick which cd I wanted lol). And then with Cara, I was given no choice at all by my local hospital (she wasn't even full on head down yet). I am sooo glad I went ahead and had my two vbacs. They were such wonderful experiences. Ronan especially, like bad period pain was how I would describe my labour with him. Walking around straight after birth..AWESOME feeling! I would encourage you to seek out a vbac next birth! I am sure you would! It helps heal you, I really believe that, even if the vbac fails, at least you know you tried. I will remind Cara when she is older that SHE got to pick her birth date, not the dr. How many caesar babies do you know are born on a sunday? NONE! I will say to Cara, "You were supposed to be born on the 25th, but you chose to be born on the 31st, a day after your due date instead hehe". And as for being 'fit' in birth....hogwash. I didn't exercise in any of my pregnancies....I delivered just fine! And I was a bit heavier with Ronan, my first vbac, than I am now. I looked quite chubby pregnant with him. Great birth though, STANDING UP!! (leaning over bed). He came out fast though. Cara's birth was better, slower and controlled on the bed leaning over beanbag, but the labour was FULL On posterier pain. OMG....no drugs either. So caesar Mums be happy not to go through that. I am a wimp when it comes to recovery pain after c-section. Would still prefer a few hours of pain and then baby. Then baby born, THEN pain. Everyone is different though. And you all deserve a medal in the end, because ALL of us go through the pain one way or another, and end result is always the main thing.
Krystie: Oh I am sure the health nurses would be annoyed with me too..I co sleep, feed whenever they want boob, feed them to sleep. I am sure babies are more wakeful when going through milestones too. And teeth brings their immunity down I think. Though I know they say it doesn't cause rashes etc..
Emma: I honestly think I had a bit of PND when I got pregnant with Cara. I was just not happy for awhile there. I was in a relationship where I wasn't happy though, so that didn't help. I had no joy for being pregnant for the first 3 or 4 mths like I usually did. I really thought I wasn't pregnant. I dreaded the thought of another caesarean too. I had 2 and was being forced by the hospital to have another. In the end, I empowered myself and changed hospitals. Being a single Mum is tough. Hell, just being a Mum is tough. And in fact, if your hubby is not much help, it's like having an EXTRA kid. In some ways I am so busy, and so exhausted. But I think to myself, at least I have an uncomplicated life without another child to look after LOL If you ever wanna chat, I'm here for you! :)
BG: Good luck with work next week!! I hope E handles it well. *Big Hugs* to you!! We are stronger than we think at times.
Naomi: How's Sean with Bailey now? I bet they have a real little routine going. Nice to see you still post lots of pics too! :)
JwithJ: Hope pregnancy is going well. I look forward to hearing all about it on facebook LOL@Jamie with foot in his mouth photo....I took one of Cara like that awhile ago.
Getting my groceries (Coles) delivered this arvo..woohoo!! Another sanity saver now and then. Who loves dragging 2 kids around a shopping centre? It's $5-7 delivery fee..why wouldn't you? hehe Feels like such a treat..I should do it all the time. But I seem to forget things at times (should make a list I guess). And I miss impulse buying..like magazines hehe
Does anyone elses baby constantly take their bibs off? Gawd it's annoying. She will even try to take her top off sometimes (I think she must think its a bib). Doing washing ALLLLLL the time as she gets soo messy. Tried all types of bibs, pullover, velcro..she gets them all off!! And talking of bibs...off I go....lunchtime! :)
-
Aww Bridg, I am really gonna be miffed if I miss it now!
-
Hiya ladies :) It's been a busy morning in the office but now the phone has stopped, I've tied up my loose ends and the boss hasn't showed up today so.... BB TIME!! LOL.
Cathy: Yup, Phoebe takes her bibs off if they are snap or velcro fastening, but she hasn't worked out the over the head ones yet (same with tops). It is very annoying indeed, but seeing as how most of her clothes are hand-me-downs and fairly sloppy I don't really mind ;)
Cool that you are going for the grocery delivery service! I HATE shopping with the two girls, so I go on a Monday when I only have Phoebe. Once Natty gets a place on a Friday at Kindy though I will no longer have my Phoebe-only Mondays, so I'll be dragging them both around the shops. I tried Coles online once but (and this was a couple of years ago, so maybe it's different now) everything was consistently more expensive than in the shops! Only by a small margin for some things but it all adds up. I am such a tight a$$ that I couldn't bear it, even though it was heaps more convenient. Now I shop at ALDI and I find I save at least $50 a fortnight by shopping there. No flybys points though :(
Nicky: Sorry to hear about your dad. I hope he is recovering ok and isn't too bored. Glad netball is going so well! GL with CK - I hear good things about that site. Hope it helps you achieve the loss you are after.
Bridg: Oooh, glad you have been sewing! I will need to get myself one (or two) of your backseat buddies once you've got some stock.
Phoebe has been feral too! Mainly overnight, though I haven't been with her through the day much because of work but I'm told she is generally being happy in the day. Honestly last night I had no clue what she wanted from me. I gave her a BF then she pulled off and cried so I prepared a bottle which she refused to drink so I wrapped her and cuddled her but she went stiff and arched her back and was crying, crying. I dunno. We got through eventually with a combination of all of the above but it was rough. The last 3 nights she has been waking every couple of hours. I hope like hell it's a WW...
Vic: Glad the terrors have stopped. Maybe she has had a developmental shift and they were a biproduct of that? Hopefully they're all over now. I too find it hard to get back to sleep if Phoebe wakes around 3-4am. For a while she has been waking closer to midnight and I find it very easy to get back to sleep after those feeds. Then if she wakes later too I still find it ok to go back to sleep cause I'm still catching up from earlier in the night LOL!
I am not the tidiest person either, but DH is far worse so I often feel like the house-cleaning nerd around our parts.
BG: Sounds like E is having similar issues to Phoebe overnight. It sucks not knowing what to do! I was almost tearing my hair out last night (but couldn't cause I was holding a squarking baby).
All the best for next week at work. I totally know how you feel, knowing that they'll be ok but worrying anyway. FWIW, I spent months crying intermittently at the thought of leaving Phoebs and still get twinges occasionally (like today for some reason - I think because of the unsettled night last night). Anyhoo, I hope your return to work is positive and that you cope ok. (I'm sure E will be just fine and you will enjoy the most spectacular cuddles when you get home! I still love the look on P's face when she sees me when I come to pick her up. I get the biggest grins and cuddles. It's lovely.)
KL: Oooh, Kyson sounds so scrumptious - I can just imagine him running around! Clever little guy.
Nay: Hope work is settling down for you and that you're enjoying planning and getting organised for Bailey's party. I hope it's a wonderful day :)
Bella: Eek @ the glass. Phoebe puts everything in her mouth too. It's weird because Natty wasn't a particularly 'mouthy' baby, so it's hard to adjust to having to pick everything up and/or check P's mouth constantly.
Awesome @ the Zumba class! I have seen the home shopping ads on telly in the wee hours and thought it looked like good fun. All the best for achieving the loss you're after.
Emma: Welcome :) I don't have anything different to say to the others, just glad you have joined us and I hope we can be a good support to you and you to us :)
Jacinta: Hope you're travelling well, sweets.
Well I think I have done my dash and need to get back to work for the last 10 or so minutes, LOL!
