Babies born~May 1st-15th 2010 #2

meeting - i am about 50mins south of ipswich so southbank is ok but the northside would be painful :)

sleeping - last night was pretty good. Zen fed at 11.20, 4am then 7am. i feel so much more refreshed! not looking forward to a possible bad night/few days after his needles

feeding - Zen is pretty good with feeds.often does only 1.5hrs between first two morning feeds & again sometimes in an evening.

drinking - i have only ever had a very weak drink straight after a feed.if i was going to have a few i would express & toss and have him fed by earlier expressed bottle.

eating - is any one else having issues eating enough?i worry i am not eating enough while bfing,i dont always get breakky and often have a late lunch

Only 2 more sleeps to go YAY till DH is home :D

Marni - If only I could fly up lol, I will be making a visit at some stage as I have a few friends in Brissie from when I worked/lived on Christmas Island and DH used to live on Sunshine Coast and likes to holiday up there.

Sleepy - That was a great effort from E with last night's sleep, he seems to be stretching out his night sleep longer and longer.

Tina - A actually slept more after her needles :) was grizzly & clingy when awake though and felt like the worst mummy, baby panadol was a lifesaver.

PMcask - Aren't they noisy little things in their sleep! Sounds like your are getting E into a good routine, amazing how loud those little bodies can be when they really learn to use their lungs.

Bfeeding - I was told by midwives it's about six weeks for your breastmilk to be pretty much established, at this stage you stop making colostrum and the taste of your milk changes too. Apparently around 3 months their demand can change again too. I have noticed past week or so since she's settled into her regular night sleeping pattern my boobs aren't so swollen & painful in the morning and I now seem to have enough milk for her cluster feeds just before bed, amazing thing our bodies are.

Eating - I often wonder if I'm getting enough too, I was told I would always feel hungry but I don't and sometimes don't realise I've missed a meal or have it really late. I am still taking Blackmores Pregnancy & Breastfeeding tablets. The one thing I must do is drink more water!

Seems the playmat has lost it's amusement and I've got a blocked toilet to try deal with.......it just had to hang out another 6 weeks till we are out of here but no!

Hi. Well we seem to be going great guns! 8.30-4.30 wow i'm amazed. None of my babies have slept like this, except from my first born who slept all night from 6 weeks old. But that didn't last either......I hope Elijah does!

How is everyone going? It's school holidays here, for 2 weeks....so at least I don't have to worry about school lunches and uniforms and stuff...lol.

It was freezing last night, so I'm glad E slept so long, was like 7 degrees....

Well I have to go to Aldi today, to get some fruit. It's really cheap there, especially when my tribe will eeat it non-stop! Hope everyone has a great day!

Sleepy - Wow thats cold! You are lucky he slept so well. Is he in his bed? Phoebe sleeps well but she is snuggled in with me so doesn't get cold. Plus I have mastered pulling the boob out and feeding while laying down! Much easier. Your brave going out with all children! I wont even brave grocery shopping with 2!

Phoenix - DH is home tomorrow?!! The two weeks have flown.

As is often the case, 3 days is a routine then we start something new. E has started waking about 12:30/1am again for a feed and then 5/6am. Oh well, that's still pretty good, but she's pretty dopey all morning then wide awake lots of the afternoon. She fed at 6 then at 8 this morning and didn't really wake up. She's fast asleep in her bouncer right now. I was probably getting a bit ahead of myself trying to get a routine happening so early anyway. All in time.

size - E has been in 000 since about 2 wks. She seems to have long legs but is not too long overall. We've also been in infant nappies for a while too.

We're off to the doc this morning to check out E's belly button. It's got a weird protruding bit which I suspect is a small hernia so we'll see what the doc says. Hope you're all having a good day!

PM - It sounds like a hernia. Phoebe has quite a sizable one. We have an appt with a surgeon at the childrens hospital on the 28th of this month.

Just a super quick post to say hi, we're doing well here. Miss T has been very trying lately... Driving me up the wall actually, so haven't wanted to get on here in an attempt to give her more attention, as I think that maybe part of her problem. Hmmm not really working! We spent Sat with friends of ours and their son's behaviour rubs off on T making life difficult for us for severals after visiting them. It's not his fault, just hers for coping what he does, but that what 2 year olds do! :) Miss H is great, getting fatter and cuter by the day. Yesterday she had probably her first off day, wasn't too bad though, I think it felt wosr (as did T) cuz I was so tired after DH waking me every hour the night before.

Hope you're all well. I will get back on here as soon as I can for persies. We're off to SYD on Wed until Sun so might not be until next week.

Sleppy- Glad to hear E is sleeping good our last DD slept from the day she was born and i never once had to get up to her in the night i get up more to her now due to teething.
I am also enjoying not having to do school lunches and all that its like an ongoing thing when there at school some routine every night.
Our kids are also fruit mad and i am an aldi fruit person to as it is so much cheaper and u get alot more for your money and the way our kids eat it i am forever buying fruit.
Hope E repeats the same routine tonight for you.

PM- Goodluck at the doctors today hope everything is ok My last DD had a hernia but it corrected itself over time.

AFM- Well is so cold here also and last night i really didnt enjoy getting up in the cold We still all have colds here May is snuffy What do you do to help with snuffy noses??
Our nights are unpredictable here How long does it take you ladies from the time you feed to getting bubs back down to sleep? if that makes sense last night our routine went feed at 10pm didnt settle till 12pm slept till 3am feed didnt settle till around 5am it is taking us a good 2 hours most times to get May settled sometimes quicker sometimes longer and then some nights she goes alot longer once asleep
yesterday she was waking alot more often for feeds so maybe a growth spurt not sure.
Have any of you had a baby with reflux?? if so what are the signs and symptons you noticed??
Anyway once i got back into bed at 5am this morning DD 18mths woke and didnt go back to sleep she is teething terribly at the moment and grizzling most of the day and wanting to hang on my leg.
I am hoping M poos today sometime or tonight might be a real long one again normally does it in the morning but hasnt this morning so fingers crossed it comes soon.
Anyway i better go i havent even brushed my hair today just cant be bothered it is so wet and raining

Caplayloamy - Generally when E wakes thru the night for a feed he goes back to sleep straight away. As for the snuffly nose, you can get a thing from the chemist that sucks the mucus out. Not sure what it's called, but it's like a baster....you squeeze it and it sucks it out. Or you can get saline drops, which is just salty water I think. Spose to help dry it up. You can also get Euky Bear Rub which is vicks for babies. I used to have a steam vapouriser, which we put vicks in and it worked great.

Tiff+2 - Have a great trip!

It's been rather cold today, got the heater on early! We use our gas oven as a heater and it works amazingly! And it'll be bath time soon, everybody in their pjs.

caplay, scarlet has reflux , she just fiddles and brings some up etc etc the usual so what we did was raise her when feeding her so hold her upright, and also dont lay down flat straight after, make sure u burp her well, and also raise what she is sleepign in, we put soemrthing under her bassinette, it seems to have gone now she is gettign better,

im noticig sometimes now she settles fine and during avos she still bit of pain but during day she pretty much sleeps in her bouncer at my feet in between feeds,
on a night when troy has her she feeds and goes back down straight away into her bassinette, providing she asleep lol.

but she stil sometimes plays up from 4 till 9ish pm lol, but not all the time is slowly goinn but def gotta make sure she is well burped or else she complains and wiggles and fusses and arches back

Caplay - Can't help with the stuffy nose, but have heard of the baster thingy and salt water stuff. As for reflux, traylee had some good ideas. I also find a rolled up towel on the change mat and during tummy time is good too (not that B has reflux, but he gets grumpy and it seems to help!).
B is generally really good after night feeds and goes back down straight away, so just 1/2 hour to feed. A couple of weeks ago it was taking up to 2 hours though, especially after his 4am ish feed. He still takes awhile occasionally. Day time naps are really hard atm though, can be a couple of hours of grizzling on and off and only 5 minute cat naps!

Sleepy - The gas stove sounds divine! We have ducted heating, but yours sounds way more romantic! It has been cold today, glad it wasn't just me!

Tiff - Enjoy Sydney! I hope Miss T is better behaved for you too.

Pmccask - We had a good routine going too, it lasted a week and now B wants things a little different. We were feeding every 3 hours from 7:30am and having 4 naps during the day (the first and last only about 45 mins and the two middle ones around an hour to an 1 1/2 hours). And nights were just the one feed after 7:30pm. Now B doesn't seem to want to feed as often during the day, back to every 4 hours. It's so hard to make a routine!

Marni - I drive, but won't drive near/in the city! A weekday would be better for me, but don't make plans for me as it will depend on DH and it might not happen.

AFM - B had his jabs today and did really well. He cried for a minute or two then went straight to sleep. He's been a bit unsettled and in pain today though but some baby panadol helped a bit. His legs must be sore cos he screams if I touch them accidently. He was weighed at 4.7kg (with a s/s suit on) and 55cm long.

Boxes of Huggies are on special at Woolies this week - does anyone know if you can buy the infant size in boxes? I can't find them, only the smaller packets.

i cant find bigger boxes inn huggies either, so i went with the babylove, i like them way better atm anyways, and they have them at bigw in infant size for $33 for 128 nappies i think it was

caplay - re reflux, A had silent reflux when she was a baby (without the spewing), so basically she looked like she'd gotten a bad taste in her mouth and you could smell it was a bit acidic on her breath. Her day time sleeps were all over the place and she would wake up after 10 minutes screaming. We got some medicine from the paed which helped a lot. Also like traylee said, raised the head end of the bed and tried to keep her upright for about 10 or 15 minutes after a feed to let it "go down".

As for stuffy nose, E seems to get a stuffy nose every night. I've got a humidifier for her room at night time and use the Fess saline spray/drops. It helps to thin the mucus. You can suck it out with the aspirater but I find I don't need to, just the saline helps so I give her a squirt of that before her last feed at night, and another one before her middle of the night feed if she sounds stuffy.

Settling during the night - occasionally it takes a while to settle E, but now she's awake a bit more during the day she seems to go back down without too much fuss. I think as they work out the days from nights they settle better.

Nappies - who was it who said they're using cloth? What sort do you use? I use cloth with A but didn't start till she was about 4 or 5 months old. The liquid poo deters me. How do you find it? I have some small BBH for E but her thighs aren't fat enough yet to seal them properly.

oh, and some other things re. reflux - she was VERY fussy feeding and would pull off and scream, and scream right after a feed, frequent hiccups (although there are different opinions as to whether this is related). E started showing similar signs and I started eliminating things from my diet and susses out milk is a trigger for her. I was drinking lots of full cream milk, and cutting that out made a difference. It's a shame because I am still really craving milk.

hey dumb question, but colour is your bubs poos, and formula fed or breast when u reply,

are they still that mustardy yellow colour, or gone normal brownish

scarlets poos are still pretty much that mustardy yellow colour

Jleigh - the infant nappies (huggies) dont come in bulk boxes, well they do but you cant get them anywhere else except the baby stores and they are $49.95 for 144 nappies I think. Big W has the bulk bags which has 48 nappies for $20.00, my woolies doesnt even do the bulk bags! :-( Personally, I am a huggies lover! Except I am thinking I might go up to crawler soon as although the infant ones are 5-8kg they dont seem to be fitting properly and last night we had a wee blow out! LOL I didnt want to strip the poor thing off - it was so cold!!

We are going for needles tomorrow - hopefully he is ok with them cos I will probably cry - I hate needles myself! Not looking forward to it really, but am excited to know how long he has got - I think he will be over 60cm now and will be just under the 6kg mark! So not a newborn anymore! Cant believe how fast time has gone since he was born. We are going really well here, still 4 hour feeds during the day, we had a couple of nights of sleeping through but is mostly waking at 5am then 7am - 2 weeks ago the now 5am wake up was 3am so we are getting better - hopefully we will be consistantly at 7am very soon!

Hi thanx for all your replies re reflux reason for asking is i think May might have it not Bad but she is really spewy lately and it has that strong acidy smell at times and she crys when bringing it up and she seems to be very windy also and unsettled at times usually night time Days she sleeps well nights she sleeps fine once settled which takes awhile (thats what we are trying to do now settle her)i have her bed elevated and all of that Should i consult my GP about it?? is there anything you can buy to help with reflux?

Poos- M is bottle fed and hers were the yellow color but since changing formula they have changed to a darker color sometimes abit green which is wind i know but they are softer thats all i care about no more constipation thank goodness.

Nappies- yes huggies infant only come in the packs not in the box which is abit silly i guess Traylee do the baby love come in infant size?

Super- goodluck with H's needles i hate them to i always make DP take the kids for needles i dont mind them myself but hate seeing the kids get them at anytime.


well still not settled yet there has to be some reason for her not settling maybe i should try keep her awake abit more in the day as she does sleep alot in the day also which most likely isnt helping.
Sorry for all the questions etc but as i said earlier i havent really had to deal with a newborn like this in 7 years M is so much like our first (and she was a really unsettled baby at times and never slept) the last one was a gem so content and happy and DS before her was the same first and last seems to be the ones that are abit more uncontented.
Anyway enough babbling from me had to have a coffee to wake up now i wont be able to sleep i live off coffee atm(not good i know)

Morning ladies,

Nappies - H went into infant size nappies as of yesterday! I just got a small pack as when I'm in SYD I'll get a box of infants from the baby shop (only place you can get them). H is only in sposies at night though so we don't go through a lot of them so a box will last a long time!

Poos - H is breastfed, her poos are yellow. When she's not feeling well and unsettled without a doubt they go green, poor baby!

Super - H had her needles 2 weeks ago (they recommend having the 8 week needles at 6 weeks here as it's whooping cough season), it wasn't very nice, I made DH hold H as I always did with T which made it a little better. When it was all over I took her and put her straight on he boob then she was good as gold again. It's only short lived when they cry. Good luck with it dear.

Reflux - Neither of my babies have/had reflu, thank goodness! I hope your little babies aren't in too much pain and discomfort with their feeding... Poor little fings.

Settling at night - I've never had a problem settling her through the night, but she does feed laying down in bed through the night, so she just falls asleep and falls off the boob, then she spends the rest of the night with us. Getting her down for her big sleep can take a little while, she sometimes spits the dummy once or twice before she goes off, but all in all she's pretty good.

Morning everyone, DH is home tonight....aahhhh I'll be able to shower & go to loo without needing the baby monitor :)

Superstar - H will be fine with his needles, you'll sook more :) - I did lol. A had a cry when they were put in then a quick cuddle and she was good as gold. She slept heaps the day she had them and was grizzly for a day or two but baby panadol was great.

Pmcask - I use cloth during the day & sposies at night. I use bummi's prefolds & covers which should last until she is about 6-7months and for any other kids I have. I've also got a few OSFM Bumgenuis pocket nappies, 2 itti bitti's and a bamboo & a hemp OSFM Baby Beehind's which I want to start using overnight I think her chicken legs have filled out enough now. I love the prefolds they are easy to use/wash & dry and with the double gusset leg covers haven't had a leak yet! More than I can say for Huggies lol. I also use flushable liners so most of the poo goes down the toilet.

Traylee - A is breastfed and her poo's are still mustard coloured, only time they had a greenish tinge was when she had a day of really bad colic. That 4-9pm unsettledness should start to get better, A used to be a nightmare those times but past week or two it's getting easier and easier, the doc said they generally grow out of it by about 13-14 weeks :crossfingers: he's right.

Jleigh - Baby Bunting sells the infant size huggies in boxes, around where I am I have only seen the 32 pack in that size which sux but since I only use 1-2 overnight, they last a while and I keep an eye out for whoever has them on special.

Tiff - Have a great time down in Sydney this weekend. Was going to ask what MCN's you use on H, saw them on FB and they look cute.

Caplay - Sorry to hear your little one has reflux, I know Baby Wranglers little girl suffers too - she might be able to give some advice. The poor little things :(

Hello to everyone else

Ahhh it's so cold & wet down here, I've been hibernating in front of heater - the one thing that still works in this place thankfully. We finally got council approval and final pricing on the new house, so the reality of packing up this place is setting in YUCK I've lived here 81/2 years since I bought it with my first husband, so have lots of collected cr*p to sort through - DH wants to move into mum's next time he's home so that's about 4-5 weeks away :o then the knock down can start.

But on the upside will be great to have a new house and something that is "ours" - apart from A that is.

Pheonix - The pix on FB are my Baby Beehinds.. LOVE them!!!! They are wonderful!! I bought them as they are a small size, but I also have one size fits all Green Kids and Cushie Tushies, but they are a little bulky for a new born thats why I got the small ones as well. I don't like the green kids as much, but they're really good when they're older. T is still in a night nappy (she only wets usualy once a month, but I prefer to be on the safe side.) We use them on her so when H is bigger they'll be great.

phoebe wont let me put her down. I'm typing with one hand. She hasn't slept for longer than 2 hours and the 2 hour sleep was from 7-9am. She wont feed properly - just keeps having little top ups and then screams til i put the dummy in.She has a runny nose but it isnt that bad. Since that sleep this morning she hasn't slept for more than half an hour. I really hope tomorrow is a better day.

marni i no how u feel lol, scarlet has gone back to being apain to, last night i actualy left her with troy at 11,
although she slept from 530pm till 10.30pm then would settle last night i gave in lol

tonight she has been awake since 2pm and i only got her down at like 9.30, she was same, fussing wouldnt sleep kept cat nappig on and off, im like oh ma when does it stop

my first daughter was nothing like this and i do hope they grow out of it soon,

this sounds mean i no but im glad im not only one with baby isssues and not sleeping and only cat napping, im wondering if she thinks day is night and night is day cause she sleeps pretty good from when she wakes up till bout 2ish,

like she will wake and feed every 3 to 4hrs but once it hits avo thats it :(.

i dunno what it is, i no she gets belly ache a bit in avos, but why would it affect her during nights and not the mornings is what i dont get this is hard goin back for 2nd time and trying t figure it all out,

i hope it gets better i realy really do

Marni/traylee- sorry to hear you have both had a bad day hope you both get some sleep tonight and tommorrow is a better day for you both. I do know how you both feel as May can also do this but mostly for us it is at all hours of the morning/night she dosent like to be put in the bouncer or anything at any time at all just likes to be cuddled and held all the time when she is awake night or day i hope she grows out of this also and can learn to amuse herself abit.

We had a quite day today and we all slept in this morning so that was nice thats one thing i do like about school holidays i can have a lay in if the kids do.
May hasnt pooed today and still hasnt settled yet from her 11:00 feed so am not sure we will get much sleep tonight it is all a mystery to what she will do.
Have shopping planned tommorrow arvo but will leave little ones at home with DP alot easier just to do that and take 2 older ones i think.

stuffy noses - i was told that iif you squirt a little breast milk up the nose it can help them, often they sneeze out the blockage.

Nappies - i use cloth during the day, ordinary towelling squares. i have some aio's & will prob start to use them but they were to big prior.

Morning Yummy Mummies

How was everyones night? I tried the "dream feed" last night, at 9pm. E went down at 7.30pm, but was stirring around 9ish, so I decided to try and feed him. He had a bit, then DH burped him, and we put him down, and he woke at 4.30am, but I put his dummy back in and he went back to sleep until 5.30am. I put him in bed with me after that, it was FREEZING! He slept until 8.30, which was nice. It's raining here, and very cold! Not quite as cold as yesterday, but still cold! I think it's because of the cloud cover.

I don't have much planned for today, except to make a chocolate cake...yummo! So going to do that after lunch I think...

Well it seems we could have a reflux baby on our hands. I had P weighed this morning and she has only put on 110g in 2 weeks. Previously she hasn't gained less than 200g a week! I don't think it is a supply issue cause I have plenty of milk, it still leaks everywhere and I feel letdown. The midwife looked at her and told me to take her to the gp as it could be silent reflux. She vomits a bit but not all the time but at the drs she saw her go from happily sleeping upright on me to yelling when lying down. Despite the fact the appt was for me, she wrote Phoebe a script for Zantac as she wants her to start on it before her appt on Friday. I'm still not convinced it isn't a sleep thing but she is sleeping on her belly in her rocker at the moment. We also have an appt at the feeding clinic on Friday in case it is a milk issue but really dont think it is.

Also, does anyone's baby's sleep on their belly in bed?

Marni - E sleeps on his side. He has a V shaped pillow in his cradle, and I put a felt blanket over it for warmth. I still wrap him in a blanket then cover him with more blankets. That'll all change once he starts rolling and moving more. I have a few sleeping bags I have to dig out. Lol.

marni - Annabelle slept on her tummy from pretty early on, and still does now at nearly 2. It was like the pressure on her tummy helped the reflux. I had one of thos Angelcare breathing sensors in her bed because I felt very negligent putting her down to sleep on her tummy, but it was only way we could get some sleep!

hope you all had a good day. Mine was ok although i am so tired I am sure May has reflux to she is showing all the syptoms and is still not settling that great last night i fed her at 11 didnt setlle till 1:30 and then was awake at 3:30 and didnt go back to sleep till 6:00 this morning so i havent had much sleep and am like a zombie right now but have to feed May shortly so am just hanging it out but if she is being her normal self she wont settle for at least 2 hours after her feed. and now she has started to fuss abit with her bottle etc.

Is there anything you can get over the counter for reflux? or do you have to get something from the gp?

Marni does P sleep ok at night?

I dont see the Gp till she gets her needles in about 2 weeks time might have to make one for soon i think as things are getting worse for her she crys when burping and the spew is coming up and i hate that she is hurting.

Anyway i cant even think stright sorry for no personals will pop back tommorrow (fingers crossed i get abit more sleep tonight)

well scarlet had her needles today she screamed but then when u cuddled her she stopped and is asleep now,

We had a pretty good night, E is sleeping good at night, I just hope the injections don't ruin that! He is starting to get conjunktivitis in his left eye, but breastmilk will fix that. Cooper had it too, at 3 months.

well i actually feel alive today had a much better night after i decided i would try and bath M before bed last night so at around 10:00pm i bathed her and she settled alot better she woke at 3am put the dummy in for a min to get a bottle and came back and she had gone back to sleep so i layed on the couch for a minute expecting her to wake again any minute but she slept till 8 this morning so did an all nighter with out a feed which i am not sure is a real good thing but she has only ever done that twice now and she seems very content today but tonight will be a mystery you just never know what to expect.

Traylee- i have to have a pap smear to as soon as i finish my antibiotics and i get rid of this dreaded thrush down there every time i have antis i get it i am not looking forward to the smear i am kinda over things being poked and prodded in there after numerous swabs cathetdar and everything else. Hope S is ok after her needles i have panadol already on standby for the needles in about a week 1/2 time just incase.
Sleepy- hope E's sticky eye clears up soon none of mine have ever had it as babies but last year DS when he was 4 got it terrible ended up the hostpital as he couldnt even open his eyes there is 2 kinds of it i think one viral one baterial he had the bad one anyway. Glad E is sleeping good for you enjoy your nap.

Not much happening here today the sun is actually shining but it is still so cold.

For those that sometimes have bubs in bed with them do you ever worry about rolling on bubs or anything? i was thinking the other night when we werent getting any sleep of putting May in with me just to get some shut eye but i am terrified i will smother her or something just interested to know how it works for you? as i have came very close to doing it a few times but hesitated because i am abit worried about it.

ok so scarlet has been sleeping well, and she had a feed at like 2.45 and i thought when she woke at 6 she would want some so i made a bottle and she didnt have it, i gave her some panadol cause she felt a bit warm, but she wont have bottle yet so i put it in fridge, she is now laying there staring at tv kinda making noises at wipeout,

is it normal for them to not want bottles for a bit after needles, i cant remeber with hayley

Traylee - Loss of appetite can happen with needles, I wouldnt worry unless it is across several feeds. As long as she is responsive and not dehydrated a missed feed wont hurt.

Cap - Phoebe sleeps with me at night. I put her in my arm and sleep on my side. The other way we sometimes do it is to sleep with banana pillow propped on a normal pillow with you lying in the v and her on my chest. I also find she settles better sleeping with us cause when she stirs for a feed I get to her before she is screaming and she feeds and goes back to sleep.

Sleepy - I used breast milk for conjunctivitis when tiana was a baby! It worked well.

Well the Zantac is definately helping P. We had another 3 hour sleep today and she is much more settled. We still have some screaming but not all the time and she seems happier! Hopefully it will continue to help!

Hi! Sorry for being MIA.

Tina - I forgot to reply about food the other day. Yes, some days I am starving hungry and don't get to eat or drink when I should. I've always been a grazer and eat every few hours, but with the b/fing I am hungry all the time. I get grumpy and shaky if I'm hungry too, so I'm not nice to be around. I have been trying to make sure I have a huge cup of water ready where I feed, so at least I've got that. And deciding in advance what I'll eat next so at least I don't have to rummage through the fridge/cupboard for stuff! I actually weigh a couple of kgs less than I did before I was pregnant.

Nappies and Liners - Yep, found out that you can't buy boxes of Infant nappies from Woolies. We tried B in a crawler the other day and, although they're big, he didn't leak. We want to try MCN's, but I'm reluctant before he starts solids too! And, I want to see some before I buy and a lot of them you can only get from the Internet. I've heard that a rep from BBH will come to your house, so that might be the go in a few month's time. Where do you buy liners from and what are they made of?

Marni - B sleeps on his side sometimes, but not on his belly. He seems to prefer his back now though. Glad P's reflux seems to be settling!

Traylee - Yep, sleepiness, and restlessness (so maybe being off feeds) are all normal after needles. Hope she settles in a day or too.

Caplay - Do you take probiotics when you have antis? I take Inner Health Plus everyday. Some reckon that there are other better ones - ask at the chemist when you get your antis as they're well worth taking.

AFM - B is still sleeping pretty well, through to 4:30am or 5am after his 7:30pm feed. We are still working on day sleeps as he's harder to settle, but so far today he's been pretty good.

DH and I braved the toy sales yesterday and got a few things for him for Christmas. We've heard the Target toy sale is the best though, so will have to have a look there. We weren't impressed with how narrow the aisles were though - you can't get two trolleys, or a pram and a trolley, past eachother. Grrrrr!

yea troy said s woke last night 2 times but settled fine without panadol,
