Hi Girls - just home from dinner at the in-laws. My sister in law has spoilt Amelia so badly, you should see all the things she bought, aside from clothes she has found more of the mouse ballerina character - same as the play mat and cot blanket she bought - so she got the matching soft toy, rattes, pram blanket you name it, soooo gorgeous!

Oh and that friend I was whinging about earlier ha ha - she emailed me again today and guess what now, she was boasting that the baby slept right through her midnight feed so went 6 hours between feeds so she feels much better having had more sleep how great is that!!! I wrote back and said, yes it's great for you to get the sleep but you shouldn't let a newborn go more than 3 hours between feeds so you will need to wake her as I had to wake Amelia for almost every feed. Friggin stupid woman honestly! The nurse from the hospital is doing their complimentary home visit tomorrow so I'd like to see what she says when she tells her. All she cares about is getting extra sleep for herself, well welcome to the world of babies love!

Oooh Natty LOVE your avvy! I get excited about them too and my DH thinks Im strange also - but hey he married me lol! Did you make it yourself? I tried to make one but couldnt do it properly...

Alison- Families are great for spoiling bubs! I love getting pressies for the kids! That chick sound like a real dipsh*t.... I would accidently on purpose lose her number. People like that do my head in and I cant cope with them...

AFM- I have always wanted to be a nurse/midwife and have been looking into studying next year. I was thinking about studying by distant learning, the Central Queensland University offers Bachelor of Nursing so I am thinking about applying with them. I dont have enough qualifications/pre-requisites to get in but I found that they offer a bridging course called WIST (Women Into Science and Technology) and its FREE!! It also 'almost' guarantees me to get into Nursing! I am so so excited, I have applied for this course and am just waiting to recieve my study material in the mail! Yay go me!
Ruby had a good night last night, she had a feed at 8.30pm, woke a few times during the night but went off to sleep when I put the dummy back in and woke for a feed at 5.30am Now its 7.22am and she has gone back down for another sleep, hmmm I should be using this time to have a shower - see ya!

Hi Ubba - wow that's fantastic good on you! How exciting, I think it's fabulous you're going to do that. I think you'll make a great nurse/midwife! And well done to Ruby, that's fantastic, 8.30 pm to 5.30 am between feeds, awesome! I started off that way when I first put Amelia in her cot and now she doesn't wake at all and has slept 9 and 10 hours straight since Thursday night so you are almost there! It's a great feeling to know things are slowly coming together huh.....although I keep waking up 3 times a night expecting to hear her crying or wondering if the monitor is working and she's still breathing, can't win! How many feeds a day is Ruby getting? Amelia missed her 6th and final feed last night, this is the 2nd time in the last few days she's done that so not sure if it's normal or not.

Yeah I'm going to have to try and distance myself from the girl from work as much as I can. I wish she didn't live so close, she's only 5 minutes away by car so I feel it's hard to keep making excuses!

Hope everyone else is well this morning! xx
