Oh Alison that just sucks...crawling my ass lol I'd be like sorry I didn't realise I had a baby for a competion there I was thinking that I had her for love....and maybe they looked at her and just thought she needed more room I'd just cut her off as much as possible cos it only gets worse
Serenity slept 10 hours last night too my friend said something on fb about her dd doing that at 5 weeks do I was like yeah ff babies sleep through faster than bf babies hahaha I did ff her last night though lmao but not gonna say that lol competitive ppl hey
ha ha thanks Mon, you made me laugh, thanks for understanding. I mean, us BB girls talk about these things but it's not competitive, she has that tone that I know means she's comparing and it sh*ts me to tears, she was like with other things before anyway. She's always annoyed me really.......I pick some strange friends I tell you. Might have to keep my distance as much as poss I think.

omg i hate those ppl!
I agree with mon, stear clear - cause they only get worse.
crawling at 1 week, what a load of fn crap!
and i would have snotted her, giving you advice on bfing!!!!! I'm getting angry for you!
big hug
stay away!
Well i just got home from my sisters bday party. and i went 11.5 points over for the day!! yikes! might have to do some exercise tomorrow i think! but the thing is.. it didn't even feel like i was that naughty... i thought i did so well with temptation. but nope, got home and added it together - apparently not! haha.
Alison: I hate that too!!!! At my mothers group, there was this young couple there (mother was really nice and normal (haha) but the father was really immature and showy-offy and going on about how advanced thier baby is. He's four months old and ALREADY has three teeth and can ALREADY sit (which is bulldang cos i saw him trying to show how this baby could sit and the poor little thing kept falling over!) and blah blah blah! WHATEVER! haha! He was also telling his wife (in a very LOUD voice so everyone could hear) that they should lend his dad $10,000 and his mum $5,000 and his sister $5,000 etc etc.... I was just dying inside with laughter! And the funny thing was they had the most beaten up old Commodore out the front! You just have to laugh at people like that Alison! Soon there will be something that their child just cannot do or is "behind" on and then they'll shut up about how brilliant thier child is!
I am really glad you got the blue pram!!! I think it'll look great with pink! Happy pramming! haha! x
Telly: Good on you on the weightloss! I have been walking every morning after i drop Brit at school and i am already noticing a difference in my overall hotness (hahahaha) in just a week!!!! Archie is going awesomely thanks! He doesn't need to go back for any xrays but i did go to the lactation consultant again on Thurs as he is turning his head funny when he feeds on the right booby.. She thinks he is uncomfortable as he is so big so i have ordered a breastfeeding pillow.. I used theirs and it was friggen AWESOME! So comfy! Archie fed for about 45 mins when we were using the pillow! I can't wait to get mine in the post! Brit is okay now... i have bought her a new pony so she is happy! She still misses the other one heaps but at least she has a distraction! How are your beautiful kiddlywinks going? Gosh they are cutie pies!!!! x
Billy: A big HELLOOOOO!! Don't feel bad, i've been neglecting everyone too! Hope everything is going well at your place x
Mon: Go Serenity with her sleeping! I saw that comment on FB and thought the same thing! Bloody showoffs! How are you coping with the school run so far? x
Ubba: How are ya lovey? Go Ruby with her sleeping too! Archie is still mostly sleeping with me and still wakes three or four times a night.. but i don't really notice cos i go straight back to sleep with him. I love him sleeping next to me! I probably have to let go one of these days otherwise he'll be 27 and still asking for "bitty"... hahaha! How are you coping with the school run too? I actually look forward to having routine back in my life again and having to get dressed for something! haha! x
Natty: Congrats on getting Rak'd!!!! Go you!! How exciting! Do you have any idea who did it? Hows your lil princess going?? x
HELLOOOOO everyone else!
AFM: Not too much to report.. Can't remember what i wrote in my last post! Probably something boring! Archie is really good! He is a little angel really and i have nothing to complain about! I haven't been doing any tummy time cos he hates it and i worry whether it hurts his collarbone so i just quit doing it! I am really loving being mummy to him! I feel a bit guilty cos when Brit was a baby i was really wanting her to grow up fast and i didn't really enjoy her like i should have (mind you, i was only 18 and think i may have had a bit of PND, looking back... Oh and had her father to deal with too! Very hard time!) I feel like i am finally "ready" to be a mum now and feel like Brit was my practise run (sounds awful but thats how i feel ) She is such a beautiful girl though and i always get comments on her manners and how caring and lovely she is so i couldn't have done too badly!! haha!
Tried my engagement ring but it is still too tight lil miss fat fingers!!
But i can fit into my size 9 jeans with the button done up!!! WOOHOOOOO! Up til now i've been using an elastic band throught the button hole on everything! haha! Still have about 7kg to lose though.. But i don't think i want to lose that much because i feel more womanly with a bit of bedonk-e-donk! haha!
Good night ladies, I'm going to look on ebay for one of those Bumbo chairs!!!
Well after a horrible yesterday (massive fight with dh) things are looking up. I am really disappointed in myself, I actually had a smoke and then had to go and have a shower because I stunk. Dh made a comment about how I dont listen to him when it comes to raising V and that I am doing it wrong because I hold her when she is crying...well you can imagine that lead balloon and my psychotic readheaded reaction to it lol...Nooooo way I am doing CC for anyone champo, not even you....anyhoo after a BIG talk and a few tears we are better off for a few truths being told kwim? Blah some things are so hard and I know its not the end of it until we are dead and gone lol...Imagine when she is a teenager haha he will FREAK!
But enough about me, except that V has settled in to a definate routine for sleeps...still 11 till...9ish but at 930 she is still asleep now... Yay for her, gorgeous girl!
Oh Kymmy I am so glad your dd has a new pony, of course she will miss the old one too but I think I have said bfore I think you are a great mummy for letting your dd do suck a cool hobby/sport I hope Archies collarbone is healing nicely, poor lil munchkin...I felt a bit like that with V for a while...I think I really could have lost it at any moment and had a bit of depression but I feel like I have to show everyone including myself how I can manage well...My mums side has a history of depression and I am very aware of not going down the same path....
Telly I might look into ww at least so I can monitor what goes in and out lol, they say a food diary shows you what you eat in a day and youd be surprised..and that is often enough to help with eating right..man, Ive almost talked myself into it lol
Haha Mon you are funny I would quote your comment but not sure how to put it in here but that was sooo funny "maybe they looked at her and decided she needed more room" haaaahaaa! Yay for Serenity sleeping through for you too, Yep Ive had same comments about sleeping through too but really as every kid is different who cares as some will be good sleepers as babies but maybe feral toddlers etc...I like sharing it with you guys because we are always happy for each other.
Hi Ali..Yay for your new pram, how nice of your dh to just say to get it, sometimes my dh does that kind of thing and I luuurve it! I did consider that pram too. Well Amelia seems to be going great guns for you too, and yep I think sometimes I overcommit myself to go do things so now I just plan one thing a day and if we get more than that done good for us but if we get nothing done well thats ok too..
Ubba lol to your exploding boobs! Mine are massive in the mornings and right now they are about to surprise poor V when she eventually wakes up...kapow straight to the back of the throat!
Well Id better go get sorted for when she wakes so Hi everyone else too and hopefully I can get a good big post in soon, just feel bad being on bb when dh is actually home for me to talk to
Hi Telly - thanks for your support, you made me laugh with your comments xx - I think I will stay away from her as much poss, will just have to do the polite thing every now and then me thinks! Don't worry about going over your points for the day, have you worked up any bonus points with exercise? I used to use my bonus points for days like that. You are doing great, a heap better than me who is doing.........nothing! Now I have my new pram I'm going to set aside some time each day for myself to go for a walk with Amelia, I need to, I'm disgusting!
Hi Kymmy - size 9 jeans and 6 kgs to lose, my goodness, I don't think I've ever been size 9 even at my skinniest ha ha! You tiny thing you, you already look hot so stuff the 6 kgs! Walking is definitely the key though huh. I'm sure you were just as good a mum to your daughter back then, you probably just have a different attitude now you're older and more settled in life. I have an 18 year old single mum at my mothers group, she seems really lovely, very confident, poor thing got pregnant on her 2nd time of having s*x apparently, she has religious parents too so didn't go down too well. She's doing well but is finding her lifestyle is depressing her a bit, not being able to go out clubbing etc. God, clubbing, what's that?!!!! Been a while for me lol! Oh and I got my rings on the other day and got so excited but then my fingers swelled again and they got so tight I had to quickly yank them off. Can't get them on again now, the day I can wear them again I will feel better, it doesn't help in the "feeling fat" stakes that's for sure!
Hi Madame - welcome back, how are you lovely girl? Good luck with WW, I should start counting points again too, perhaps I should join online too, I'm a lifetime member so wonder if that gives me anything, probably gives me stuff all!
Hi Mon - basically you get allocated so many points a day to stick within re food, the points relate to foods themselves, ie fruit and vegies are either 0 points or some fruits might be .5 or 1 point depending on the size (fruit has points due to the sugars) - so choccies etc are obviously higher in points etc....it's instead of calorie counting and much easier to follow. Rather than a diet as such it just teaches you to eat healthier, a lot of WW is about portion control, you can still each your sweets if you want....you just have to have less of it and in smaller portions - I used to have choccy every day when I did it and lost 8 kgs in 4 months, aside from the pregnancy I have managed to maintain it for the last 3 years too as I generally follow the points thing anyway - except for lately of course, can't do it when you're pregnant! You need to have the points book to know which foods are which though when starting out.
Well best go get myself some lunch. Have a great day everyone!
Hi Girls - just home from dinner at the in-laws. My sister in law has spoilt Amelia so badly, you should see all the things she bought, aside from clothes she has found more of the mouse ballerina character - same as the play mat and cot blanket she bought - so she got the matching soft toy, rattes, pram blanket you name it, soooo gorgeous!
Oh and that friend I was whinging about earlier ha ha - she emailed me again today and guess what now, she was boasting that the baby slept right through her midnight feed so went 6 hours between feeds so she feels much better having had more sleep how great is that!!! I wrote back and said, yes it's great for you to get the sleep but you shouldn't let a newborn go more than 3 hours between feeds so you will need to wake her as I had to wake Amelia for almost every feed. Friggin stupid woman honestly! The nurse from the hospital is doing their complimentary home visit tomorrow so I'd like to see what she says when she tells her. All she cares about is getting extra sleep for herself, well welcome to the world of babies love!
Oooh Natty LOVE your avvy! I get excited about them too and my DH thinks Im strange also - but hey he married me lol! Did you make it yourself? I tried to make one but couldnt do it properly...
Alison- Families are great for spoiling bubs! I love getting pressies for the kids! That chick sound like a real dipsh*t.... I would accidently on purpose lose her number. People like that do my head in and I cant cope with them...
AFM- I have always wanted to be a nurse/midwife and have been looking into studying next year. I was thinking about studying by distant learning, the Central Queensland University offers Bachelor of Nursing so I am thinking about applying with them. I dont have enough qualifications/pre-requisites to get in but I found that they offer a bridging course called WIST (Women Into Science and Technology) and its FREE!! It also 'almost' guarantees me to get into Nursing! I am so so excited, I have applied for this course and am just waiting to recieve my study material in the mail! Yay go me!
Ruby had a good night last night, she had a feed at 8.30pm, woke a few times during the night but went off to sleep when I put the dummy back in and woke for a feed at 5.30am Now its 7.22am and she has gone back down for another sleep, hmmm I should be using this time to have a shower - see ya!
Hi Ubba - wow that's fantastic good on you! How exciting, I think it's fabulous you're going to do that. I think you'll make a great nurse/midwife! And well done to Ruby, that's fantastic, 8.30 pm to 5.30 am between feeds, awesome! I started off that way when I first put Amelia in her cot and now she doesn't wake at all and has slept 9 and 10 hours straight since Thursday night so you are almost there! It's a great feeling to know things are slowly coming together huh.....although I keep waking up 3 times a night expecting to hear her crying or wondering if the monitor is working and she's still breathing, can't win! How many feeds a day is Ruby getting? Amelia missed her 6th and final feed last night, this is the 2nd time in the last few days she's done that so not sure if it's normal or not.
Yeah I'm going to have to try and distance myself from the girl from work as much as I can. I wish she didn't live so close, she's only 5 minutes away by car so I feel it's hard to keep making excuses!
Yay ubba that's fantastic I can't deal with needles and blood but otherwise I'd love to do that lol
Alison you have a new baby plenty excuse right there or you can say you don't like mixing your work and personal life
Mally is having his friend Aaliyah sleep over tonight we went there Friday night for a BBQ and jose gave her the idea so she's had her bags packed since then and harassing her mum lol but I love her so it should be fun she's a girl version of mally loud and energetic lol
Hi, I've been lurking as I'm bad enough at typing when I don't have a baby in my arms and he's been there everytime I've got on line since we got the internet back. We had to get a bloke out to look at it & he couldn't fix it, DH called Bigpond the next day & some time while we were on the phone to them when the computer guy was here they (Bigpond) switched us off. Probably saved us money as if he'd fixed it he would have charged us more than $50. hehehe
Mr I slept 8hrs straight the other night - unfortunatly it was from 6:30pm to 2:30am and then he didn't want to go back to sleep staight away. and I didn't get to bed till nearly 11 and didn't sleep properly 'cause I think the neighbours sons got a new home theatre system and I (DH was sound asleep) could hear it rumbling until 1am.
We had 3 new babies in our family this weekend. My cousin had a little girl on Saturday & DH's cousin had twin boys yesterday at 6pm. It'll be a while before we see the twins as they're in Sydney, but we might go down there sometime this year. Until then we'll have to rely on Facebook.
Love the new avvy natty. Stand your ground with DH - tell him to do some research to back up his opinions - theres some articles on here about how holding your bub isn't spoiling them or there's a book called "the Science of Parenting" or "what every parent needs to know"
Good luck with the course Ubba. I did my degree by distance ed (accounting) and it would have been alot easier if I was an organised person - so if you are more organised than me (and 90% of the population is) its great. Towards the end of my course there was more on-line stuff and that was really great & I'd expect it'd be even better now (seven years later). And my house was really clean when I was procrastinating from doing uni.
Alison - I hope that girl comes to live in the real world soon. Bizarre.
First off, for those commenting on my saturday night blow out, haha - i think im back on track with my ww. I already had a bonus 4 points saved up. so i was really only over by 6 points. So yesterday i saved another 4 points again, so only 2 points then to work off. So i mowed the lawn - which was a grueling 1.5hours. So i think i'm fine!
Mon - Alison already explained it, but yea it really works. You're allowed so many points a day, im on 28 cause i'm a fatty, and i'm bfing. And each food is worth a certain amount of points. Bread = 1 point. A feed of KFC = 1000000 points, hahaha. soo easy once you get to know what equals what.
How cute with Mally's little sleep over buddy! Can't wait till we're at that stage. Actually yes i can.. don't want her to grow too quickly! haha. How's the school run going? How on earth do you get ther 4 of them organised in the mornings to start the day? you must be a super mum!
Alison your friend is irritating me.. hahahaha! I dont even know the poor woman! I like Ubba's suggestion of 'accidently' losing her number? but then agian if she only lives up the road, avoiding her could become struggle. Perhaps do the occasional visit. but always have an excuse lined up for when you can't tolerate her. be prepared! hehe. RAK'ed = random act of kindness
Natty - your new avy is FAB! Lovin' it! Haha, i chuckled at your DH checking himself out, making sure it was up to scratch! Sounds like someone mine would do too. Glad you guys got everything off your chest, sometimes that what a relationship needs, a good fight, then everything becomes more peaceful. I don't do CC either. Kaili is 2 now, and chris and i still struggle to let her cry! We tried letting her cry herself to sleep a couple of weeks ago. It lasted like.. 1 and a half nights. haha. We're suckers i know. But i wouldn't like to go to bed crying thinking my mum and dad have deserted me, so i don't expect her to. It just becomes an issue when DH is away for the night (which is tonight ) lol
Madame - I hope your holiday went well! Hope you don't have too much washing to catch up on either. I've got washing in the machine atm waiting to be hung out.. but hey while both kids are sleeping - bb time! haha. I'm so lame! And good work on the ww online! We can be ww buddies! haha. I"m so impatient with weight loss. I want to be skinny and hot NOW.. not in 6 months time! Its such a slow process.. but it will be worth it. Good luck for your first week! xx
Ubba good on you with your studies!! How exciting!!! Just think, in 4 years time... you could be a nurse!!! I always regretted doing teaching at uni, thought i should have gone down the nursing path. Teaching is just.. gross. haha. But i think the shift work would put me off the nursing.. i'm so undecided in life! Good luck with it all
Telly i totally agree, they are just babies, plenty of time to cry herself to sleep over some guy, not mummy abandoning her....Good work on the ww and lawn mowing, i am unfortunately banned as i do such a crap job...bummer lol...
Hi Snowy, yep typing with a growing bub is hard hey...i just get a good balancing act but my typing hand gets so sore..congrats on all the new additions! whoa twins lovely but eeek all i can picture is 2 vs and my eyes start to twitch Thanks for the advice I did say to him what have you read and he informed me he had visited Tresillian which is a centre which helps mums out it is a cc based place tho and I was so surprised he did it behind my back but he says i dont listen to him..Everyone has told me to go there in the early days but i never felt i needed to make my babt scream so i could sleep better so there lol...rant over...
Hi Alison, someone bought themselves a membership for a year and gifted me one, its for the bb birthday. I saw them on ppls sigs earlier this year and wondered too..at first i thought it indicated donor sperm or something but there were so many i thought that cant be right heehee. That girl sounds like a pain, next thing her kid will be talking lol. Amelia seems like she is getting a little special treatment too but it takes a nicer person to be modest and gracious then competitive and childish like she is, she should grow up, being a mother now and all...Id ask to see the baby crawl lmao Oh and its normal for them to drop a feed once they are over 5kg apparrently so dont stress.
Mon, hi! i think youd be great in aged care with your supermum skills! Those grannys would be showered and fed and don to the pokies all before 9am just joking but haha you would be great! i love the pics of Serenity she is just beautiful! What are your backgrounds? I love dark skin and prayed v got her dads brown skin instead of my white pasty skin lol,
Ubba oh follow your dream yay! its great that you will be doing your mw course and even better the bridging course is there and free! I wish i had done something a bit more realistic than art as im kind of locked in to a specialty..oh well it brings in the $$..not very challenging tho at times. Yep i supose its good for one thing cos i made my avvy lol, that dollmaker site is not especially user friendly but i got the hang of it
oop gtg but bfore i do that, v is sleeping well, very cute and more fun now she is laughing and interacting better.
