    Hi Girls!

Hi Kymmy - yay for Brit's room, put some pics up on FB so we can see.

Hi Ubba - you poor thing, I mentioned on FB to your response to try the top up. I know it's hard to not feel guilty but take it from me who has to do it mostly all day, you do what you have to. To be honest, with all my aqua friends and mothers group girls the only ones have problems with sleeping are those who are fully breast fed. I am wondering if at this age they just need more and some people haven't got enough to keep up? Of course some do. One of the ladies at swimming on Friday said her 5.5 month old still wakes every 1.5/2 hours at night for a BF, 5.5 months, that's ridiculous! It's so important to get your sleep, no-one is any use to anyone if they are fatigued all the time. Give the last feed as a top up and see how you go. I only do one breastfeed a day now, the rest is formula with expressing in between and that gets mixed into her last bottle - I'm over feeling guilty, I can't do any better than that and I figure some is better than none. In saying that, Amelia is sleeping 10 hours a night at the moment, I feel normal again. Give it a go mate and please don't feel guilty, you've done so well you really have. xx

Hi Natty - must have been the night for it, Amelia woke up at 4.00 am and again at 5.00 am, I just stuck the dummy in her mouth both times and she went back to sleep until 8.00 am but not sure why she woke up. How dare she interrupt my sleep lol.

Yay for Serenity Mon! Hope Mally is feeling better soon.

hi christine and welcome to the group! I have two beautiful kiddies. DS (13weeks), and DD (2yrs).

Mon well done to your booby girl My booby boy has been sleeping about 8 hours at a time, which i'm stoked about!

Sorry i've been neglecting you ladies. Been a bit busy with family.
We're heading to Clermont tomorrow for the funeral, its about 3.5 hours, so we'll be leaving around 4.30am to make sure we get there in time. with the two littlies its hard to know how long the trip will take. Then we'll be staying for the night.

    Hope you're all well.
    xx

Hi Telly - wishing you all the best for the funeral, I went to one about 4/5 weeks ago for a 33 year old, was not pleasant, they never are no matter how old. Just wanted you to know I'm thinking of you and your family and I'm sure it will be a lovely service for your grandad. xx

    Hi there

Natty - that's a bummer....Abbey had a few weird nights when we came home from the beach but back to sleeping through now thank god....it really knocks you out having to get up to them in the night all the time hey....I still have Abbey on the boob heaps during the day which is a pain, but it keeps her happy so what can you do....

Ubba – Sorry to hear about Ruby….sux doesn’t it…JD was a nightmare sleeper and is still is at 2.5…he’s in with us most nights and talks and carries on in his sleep…if it’s not one in our house it’s the other!!!

EthanLogan – Nice to meet you!!! I also have a 3 month old and a 2.5 year old and it’s full on isn’t it!! I understand with the crying thing at night – I have had JD out watching DVD’s at 4am a couple of times and it’s the last thing that you want to deal with at that hour!! I’m very quick to get Abbey quiet and on the boob ASAP after she starts to whinge so he doesn’t get woken up too and wants to play….hard isn’t it! I'm Shayna Delaforce on FB too...

Tubby – Hope you cope OK at the funeral and kiddies behave for you. Yay for Theo doing great sleeps!!

Heavenly – That’s great for Serenity doing a massive sleep….JD has been going on about his bottle that we ‘left at the beach’ during the night in his sleep so Abbey’s being a very good girl but he’s the one causing us trouble now….cant get a break hey?!?!?

AFM….just cruising along…..arent the little ones at such a great age now?? I’m enjoying Abbey so much and I feel like I know her a lot better now and what she likes / dislikes and moods etc….she’s so funny with all her talking and carrying on at the moment and grabbing at things when she’s in the bouncer and giving off great smiles etc…it’s just wonderful….helps when you get a good sleep though!!

Going to the gym now….ergh. Hate getting there but when I’m there Im right….

    Talk soon

Abbey is a terrible sleeper during the day....cat naps on and off for most of it....I dont think she has really ever had a good 2 or 3 hour sleep during the day since she was a couple of weeks old...does my head in but at least she sleeps pretty well at night....

Bet I have jinxed myself now...

    Hi girls,

Lets see how this goes I wonder how long my little cherub will stay asleep for...I have only just caught up on all my BASIC housework ie the stuff you can see thats obvious, the bathrooms etc will live to see another scummy day Im afraid...

Lets see so much has happened...

Hi Ethanlogan, Its so nice to see another person in here, Im sure you will get a lot out of having such lovely ears to bend in here I know I do and Id be a nutjob if it wasnt for BB, There are so many things I have read on here that have changed my perspective on parenting for the better. Im Natalie Frederikos-White on fb too if you want to add me

Ubba, (I think it was you who asked about this..)I have looked a little at BLS too and I think a bit of it is cool but I could not just sit V in a bown of porridge and just let her go for it, it grosses me out lol but I like the idea of the veges and then sucking on a bit of meat etc so I think Ill look at it in part iykwim?

Who is starting solids early? Im going to wait till 6 months unless V really shows signs of wanting more....

Telly I will be thinking of you and your family tomorrow, best of luck for the car trip

Heavenly, how you going now? I hope you are feeling better. I know it just all feels like crap some days and then others you think you are the luckiest in the world lol, its to stop us getting too comfortable with life I think. As for Serenity sleeping, arent some babies just sleepes? Wish V was one, she should be a baker seeing as she likes to wake up so much

Sheeeiiite I just heared a door slam, I wonder if V heared it too......

JDsmum, Aww that sounds lovely the way you describe how you feel with Abbey, yep I feel the same too like I can preempt some stuff V needs and cheer her out of a funk some times. I love when V want a big feed cos then I can relax, I dont like it when she is on and off the boob though as I feel like she is having me on lol....

Alison, man I wish V would take a dummy or find her thumb lol, Its the nipple or nothing in this house lol....Then theres her father to deal with too lmao....

Happy belated birthday kymmy Im sure your MIL visit was great lol...

Well V has been quite unsettled lately but with that she has started to really grab things, chatter more, roll around her cot, sit in her pram a little before cracking it etc....She just doesnt like to be put down luckily she is pretty happy in her baba sling, god I would be dead without all my slings I have 4 baby carriers in total now addicted much? All my friends think Im a crazy sling lady lol. V has been going to bed earlier but subsequently waking very early then going back to sleep. She has given away the long stretches and her longest sleep is about 6 hours then another 2 or 3 after that... Oh well at least we can get on with the day that way.

I joined a MG that is already going and have met some super nice ppl there too so more for my new friend collection lol

Okay Id better go do some more work before V gets up again...just after I check ebay.....

    XX Natty

    Hi Girls!

Hi Natty, as usual your post has made me chuckle, you always brighten my day with your straight to the point posts, you're so honest and open, I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!! I got my Wonder Weeks book yesterday (it was you who put me onto it yes??)...it's really good I love it. Amelia has definitely been going through the wonder week 12 that's for sure, the lack of sleeping in the day is part of it but I don't mind so much as she sleeps better at night that way. At the moment she's feeding, playing/awake for about an hour or so and then sleeping anywhere from 15 mins to 1 hour but no more than that. Bummer V won't take a dummy, not that I stick it in willy nilly but I definitely use it as a soother for Amelia, the second I put the dummy in her mouth her eyes roll and she's asleep, just like that! It's incredible. Within a few minutes she's spat it out so I'm not concerned at the moment about her getting hooked on it. Like I've been told before, easier to remove a dummy from a child than remove their thumb!

I started scrapbooking Amelia's baby album today, it had me reminiscing looking at the pics of me in labour and her first born pics, I can't believe she was that small, she's grown so much! I have to do my pregnancy album too but I've got a few more pics I forgot to print out to do, looking at those had me feeling all sentimental too, I still miss that big pregnant belly..........certainly a lot nicer than the belly I'm left with now!

Hope everyone's having a great day, Amelia's waking up from her oooh 20 minute sleep, gotta run. grrr

    Hi Girls,

Well after reading through your posts I have realised I never write about the cool things that Ruby does.... Ive only been complaining about her lack of sleep. Well, she has just discovered her hands. She will be lying on her rug and move her hand in front of her face and get such a funny look on her face as she wiggles her fingers. Oooh this is the look she gets She has been trying to hit the toys on her play gym but has worked out she can get them with her feet, oh and she giggles!! It is very cute except she gives herself the hiccups and cracks the *****s. That doesnt stop me from getting the giggles lol. I know, mean.

Gotta go - the hiccups are coming on with a vengance

Hi Ubba I think we are all guilty of that, we forget to talk about the good things or in my case I dont want to gloat because as soon as I do V goes all whacko lol...Did you notice my comment on FB then as soon as I do that the next day is horrendous lmao...Isnt it great to see them gain new skills?!

V is starting to know that when I take a big breath in I am going to blow rasperries all over her and she starts giggling before I even get a chance to...so cute..and DH is now a firm afternoon favourite as long as its all about fun and nothing to do with sleeping, bottles or giving her the reflux meds...thats all me lol. Nasty mummy

Alison Im glad you lik the book, Im waiting on another, the science of parenting...It sounds scarey but its not, its about different parenting styles and how they work, backed by proof..CC,attachment etc..OOOhhh!!! That dummy sounds amazing where do I get one lol...

Heavenly I hope Mally gets better soon, cant wait to hear Serenity's stats lol she is so cute i could just kiss her xx Pizza Yummo!

V is in bed at 9 tonight, it has been a dream run today so hopefully we can keep it up...

Awww man....Abbey has bad wind again....I got back on the chocolate cause I thought she was over it but it seems not. Jesus....cut me some slack and let me indulge in it's milky goodness once again....no alcohol, no chocolate....what's left??? Only freakin soft serve and I cant even get that cause I have to load 2 kids into the car and by the time I'm halfway there guaranteed someone will be screaming the house down.

    Sorry for the rant....
