hey shayna just quickly, theo is helping me type.. not
you can get black food colouring, ive seen it in bi-lo. you add it to the icing stuff you buy... kinda like the stuff you use on wedding cakes. and you just mix the colours into it, its a lot like playdough, but you can eat it. its super easy to use and the end result is awesome!

Ubba - Hi :hello: Nice to see you posting :) I made most of my own food for Craig unless we were out and unprepared. He hated most of the puree jar food but didn't mind the sachets. Can't blame him really, home cooked tastes heaps better. So it'll be homemade for Ryan too.
Alison - Craig hated the rice cereal. The packet says you need to keep feeding it exclusively for a while, gradually increasing the amount, but I ditched it after 3 days and fed him veggies.
Snowy - Hope Mr I is feeling better soon. Projectile hurls are scary.
Sarah - Me too, would love to see pics of your wares even if they're already sold!
Mel - Hope you're getting some more sleep.

AFM - We had the rest of our photo shoot today. It was overcast when we had the original shoot a fortnight ago, so they got us to come back on a sunny day so we could do some outdoor shots. The pics are my Mother's Day pressie from DH, so I really hope they turn out well. Ryan has his first tooth. He was actually a bit grizzly today but still managed smiles and giggles for the photographers. Craig's been really good with the Toilet Training so we progressed from the potty to the toilet and he's started having accidents again :shakehead: I feel like I spent all day cleaning the house, helping Craig with the toilet and comforting Ryan, but the house still looks like a pigsty. My Dad is coming to visit in a few days (we've only been back in contact for a few years after no contact for 14 years) and I'm stressed that the house will still be grotty.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY everyone, hope you had special days today. I got flowers and a card that hubby wrote in with his left hand to make it look like Amelia had done it lol....and my pendant with Amelia's fingerprint for my necklace.
I weighed in for my 12 week challenge this morning too......I've put on 300 grams this week grrr - new I had as I was a bit naughty last week with the food - still lost 1 cm off my waist and 1cm of my hips though thank goodness.
Back on track this week for sure! One of the girls I used to work with (the one who irritates me) told me she's down to her pre-pregnancy weight......she doesn't look it to be honest - still has a belly but anyway it's made me more determined now. Stupid I know but she always has to outdo me and I let it get to me, grrr!

Hope you all had a wonderful day <3 Mine was pretty cruisy. I went out to my reunion last night and had a bit of a headache this morning ~ I only had 5 drinks lol! So Luke wakes me up at 7am with a bowl of coco pops! more like a bowl of milk with about 20 coco pops added lol. I said he could eat them and I would have something later but the look on his face made me feel guilty so I ate them. He made me a photo frame at kinder although he told me a week ago that he was making it. It is blue with jewels stuck on it and a photo of him and me in it. Its so cute and I acted surprised anyway. Aww I love my boy xx
Ashleigh bought me a candle and a bookmark from the Mothers Day Stall at school and she wrote me a poem. It is so cute I will write it out for you ~

AFM - My boys took me out for breakfast, then some shopping. We got more fish for my fish tank (all my fish died when we were on holiday in Jan) and the boys love watching them zoom around the tank, darting in and out of the plants. My pressie is the photos from the photo shoot which I get to see on Wednesday.

We went to breakfast Sat morning which was lovely & then we decided at the middle of the day Saturday to go down to my Mum's (hour & a half away) and stayed there overnight. We put a mattress on the floor rather than taking the portacot down so I slept there with Mr I & DH had the bed to himself until 4:20 when DS1 came in. I took him to the loo and he hopped into the bed with DH and rustled about for half an hour (and Mr I woke and fed & dozed) before I said OK lets read some books and I sent DH to DS's bed to keep sleeping - how he was sleeping with DS1 wiggling beside him is beyond me. So DH got a Mother's day sleep in. :shakehead:
We had a nice morning at Mum's. I hinted to DH he should make morning tea seeing I woke at 4:20 & him at 6:45 & he said OK, but didn't think I was serious. I made piklets and Mum put out a tub of cream with an expiry of 15/02/10 - it looked a bit curdled and tasted like ricotta! And Mum put it on her piklets after I'd noticed the expiry date - strange woman! Love her to bits though!
DH bought me a DVD, which I knew 'cause he told me not to look in the JB Hi-fi bag last week. I was feeding Mr I and could hear DH tell DS1 to give it to me & Mum say lets wrap it up. Before DS1 came out to me she comes into the kitchen & asks "Did you want a Batman DVD?" I said no not really, but I'm getting a necklace for my b'day (I saw the Paypal receipt) so its fine. DH bought Batman Begins but meant to buy the Dark Knight - I really didn't want either truth be told, but its the thought that counts. I was however very effusive when DS1 gave it to me. I'll get whatever DS1 made at childcare today & will be equally excited.
I had a short sleep on the way home & went to bed at 8:45.
DS1 got sick on Wednesday & cleaning up after a kid is alot more discusting than cleaning up after a baby. They were both fine the day after their respective spew days.
Telly - had you ever expressed a desire for chooks? I like visiting Mum's 'cause they're such birdbrains and I love the eggs, but she had the chookpen before the chooks - men!

appropriate and send you a couple of options. Obviously Ill need a bit of time to get it sorted but all you do then is take the file down to Harvey Normans etc and print them off...

Telly, dont stress on the sleeping, V has times where I just give up and nurse her but I think she was just "ready" as well. I didnt listen to ppl
telling me what to do and did it in our own time, and you will know when Feo is ready ;) Sometimes if she cries for a little bit too long Ill go pat her
or put her on her belly or pick her up etc so Im not a hard arse and Im not sure if its cc or not but as a max she is only left alone for 3 minutes before I go in and do something.
I avoid eye contact (Explained it to dh that she is like madusa and will turn him to stone if she looks in his eyes lol) but will kiss her on the forehead and lean over her to
have body contact with her but no eyes iykwim? Sometimes like ye4sterday she was crying as I wrapped her (always does pretty much) I put her in bed and
put the dummy in and she falls asleep mid cry while I was still putting her blanket on...I just think she resents having to go to sleep...
Hows the weight loss going girls? I had a sneaky weigh this morning and was surprised to see another 2 kilo gone, so I hope that stays off till tomorrow lol.
I have been taking the healthy option every time this week, and eating smaller portions too so it seems to be working in fact yesterday
I wore a pair of shorts that looked like they were sprayed on just a few weeks ago so...Yay for me lol..
Mel, gosh you crack me up lol, the biscuits did NOTHING for my um...regularity lol... I got those biccies for incase I needed a sugar fix and at least had something
a little better than dhs tim tams lol, it worked I guess. I have found these low fat low sugar ice creams called "skinny cow" and they are small portions and delish
so Im allowing myself to have one every now and then so I dont freak out for sugar lol. You are so good going to the gym all the time!
Ok now Im stuck as to who said what so Ill just go on aboput us for a bit then Ill probably just cut and paste this in to bb later..
V is doing really well, I got her the Vtech first steps walker toy that she can push along later but she is enthralled by it, just sits in front of it smashing the
buttons etc and laughing to herself, so cute! She is also loving the actuall walker she sits in too and I cant believe how easy she is now, just able
to cope really well when Im not around, say in the shower. Ill come out and she hasnt even missed me! Were experimenting with all different food and yep im making
hers but also using a can here and there in case she needs to use one say if we are out or desperate, or when we go see the rellos in melbourne in june.
I have made a few basic casseroles fgor us and then blended some for her and froze it in ice cube trays. I also have just potato and pumpkin etc to mix
in different combos. Her poos really stink now though.....
No crawling here but she sits well if plopped down, cant get herself there but thats ok.
My aunty who is a mw said she said ma as she was holding out her hands to me but im not convinced..I had heared it before but kind of thought it is too early for that...
Its probably just a fluke right? Oh ill be mama not mummy and dh will be baba. Cute huh?

I'm so confused about this new forum!! Ahhh!
Glad you all had a great Mother's Day! Your pressies all sound lovely! I had the BUSIEST weekend! Saturday, Brit had netball at 10.30, then a 1st birthday party at 12.00 THEN we had a wedding at 2:30pm. Then yesterday the reception for the wedding continued at the Polish club (as they are Polish and apparently party for days after a wedding!) so we went there for a couple of hours but as i only got 4 hours sleep on Sat night, i was STUFFED and so we left early and i was in bed by 6:30pm and up at about 9am this morning! I got some nice pressies for mothers day and a voucher for Brit to do 'Everything all day' that i am allowed to use whenever i like! haha! cute!
I am replying on quick reply as i don't know how to do it normally! If someone explains to me i will post more later as poor Archie has just been dumped into his bouncer and i should really go play with him! Feeling a little queasy this morning.... OH NO! I can't really remember exactly but i think i didn't get sick until about 8 weeks with Archie.... Might go back through our thread and have a look!

Alicia - Would I be able to tag your mothers day photos on FB in my DHs name??? hahahaha! I'd like for him to see how a mothers day SHOULD BE!!! OMG your DH is sooo super sweet! I dont think i've ever had a mothers day that special! Yesterday was theo's baptism, and ended up looking after the kids all day while he got drunk with the other men! grr! And then when Theo FINALLY went to sleep i had to go the bottle-o to get him some more scotch! argh! ofcorse by the time i got back, theo was awake again.... So yes... not happy with him at the moment!
Natty - Well last night i was talking to DH about you and violet (haha, told you i always talk about you guys!), I told him you were very much like me, boobie for bed, belly sleeper. And now V is doing AWESOME with her sleep after the advice you recieved. So we decided to give it a go today! I had a visitor over morning tea, so i was already a bit behind, but the time she left theo was well and truly cranky and ready for sleep time. I put him in the cot on his belly and started patting his bum, which was a NIGHTMARE! He was CONSTANTLY on his hands and knees trying to move away from me. So i put him on his side, and held him in that position (much to his disgust) while patting his bum. He cried, and cried. I cried a little :( then DD started crying (told you guys earlier she freaks out when he's crying, its very sweet). Every time he'd start to get drifty, DD would start crying again... and wake him up! I kept singing my song to him (a song i sing to both of them, my mum used to sing it to me, and now DD even sings it to DS! hehe!) and he FINALLY FELL ASLEEP!! OMG!!! 28 minutes it took.
but get this... HE THEN SLEPT FOR AN HOUR AND A HALF!!!!!!!!! HOLY COW! He is normally a 20 minute sleeper... 30 minutes if i'm lucky! Still in shock!!!!
So just now, he starts yawning... Im getting slightly anxious.. thinking i don't want to do this again. I'll just give it a little go and see what happens. Put him in his cot, on his side, start patting his bum. Not one cry noise comes out of his mouth.. he snuggled up to his taggie blanket, AND WENTTO SLEEP!!!!!!!!!! AL:KFJ:LDSGJS:LKJ~!!!!!!! WTF!?! It took 4 minutes worth of patting! I stopped, he rolled onto his belly, had a little grizzle, so i quickly patted again, and about 20 seconds later he is zzzZZZZzzz !! Don't want to count my eggs before they hatch.. but this has really surprised me... See how i go tonight for the big sleep tho.

I did a sneeky weigh this morning (my weigh in day is wednesday night), and i've lost 900g, but will let you know the official number on weds. I bought a size 14 pair of jeans on saturday! Super chuffed with that! Haven't been a size 14 since I was.. 19? i guess! woop!

AFM - Yesterday was theos baptism (alison,anglican is baptise, catholic is christened. no idea what the difference is, im not overly religious either), was a really beauitful day. Will pu some photos up later on, when i get a moment or three. Theo was getting sooo restless tho, he was on the boob alll day poor little fella, was just a bit overwhelming i think. Then by 9pm last night my boobies were running on empty! (another reason why we decided to try your idea natty, give my boobies a rest, hehe). In the afternoon he was pretty much well feral, lol! I had NO idea what his probablem was, then i realised i didn't give him anything for lunch :redface: !!! Went upstairs and ccooked upsome zuchini, which he gobbled up quick smart (loves zuchinni ... strange i know). Then around 5pm i went to the supermarketand got a rafferty garden pouch (firstbit of bought food he's had, i've made everything else), and he ate the ENTIRE POUCH!!!! I couldn't believe it!!!! So then all of my rellies start at me.... I really should be feeding him more, he's a really big baby telina, he needs his food, blah blah.. So yes.. As of today i've decided to start 3 meals a day (was only doing 2, some days only 1 meal).. And just feed him until he refuses ( i was only giving him 2 tablespoons per feed). Is any one else doing this yet???? I feel like im rushing him... .... :(

Hey all sorry I've been Mia spent the last 5/6 days reading the 4 twilight books, did an all nighter last night on the last lol bit depressed now though
1) cos I'm not sure what to do with myself I was so focused on reading them
2) I want to be a vampire lmao sound pretty cool
And 3) a little sad cos I wish I could feel the intense love they talk about in the book :( oh and I'm gonna miss Alice and Esme lol it's kinda the family I always wanted to have, I've always felt really ripped off cos Jose has no family

Madame...YES!!!!! I know as soon as we confirm the dates Ill let you know. We will be staying at Point Cook so if we could find somewhere central to meet for all 3 of us? Im unsure of where you 2 are but Im hoping I can get away to see you (we will only be there 3 or 4 days) But I soooo want us to meet up! The dates 17th to 21st have been thrown around but it could shift to the fri-wed iykwim?
Telly Wooohooo!!! Yay but it is hard isnt it? I did it all on my own so that made it harder but easier in different ways (ie no screaming dd lol). Dont be discouraged if Feo doesnt settle well at night I find V sometimes will not do it and then we feed and cuddle (got to have a heart and its nice for a cuddle) but she even goes down like that quicker than she used to. I find its easy in the morning, sometimes only 2 mins of crying then harder gradually during the day but I have so much more time in the day now, I feel so liberated and I dont think v is suffering as Im always willing to go in and comfort her. Do you think its cc? Anyway good luck with it, Im certainly no expert and didnt really want to do it but I feel like its actually better for her, like she gets better longer sleep in her bed. Oh and with the feeding we do 2 meals a day offered but she usually only eats properly at 1. ATM she is eating 3 ice cubes worth at the main meal and maybe another cube with the second one but she just mucks around usually with thatone. I tried her on the jelly and she HATES it but she likes the banana porridge one. That is the only bought ones (the sweet ones) I will prob buy but may start cooking fruit too. I always give her homemade vege and casserole, this week Im trying her on chicken, she has had lamb (naturally shes Greek lol) and bacon.

Dont beat yourself up over the weight loss thing, I had a crap week last week and this week I feel like I made up for it...I figure if I can give up smoking I can eat well and exercise lol and I hve army training looming over my head so I am scared shizerless lol. Just take the healthy option all the time like taking the skin off chicken, dry frying meat small portions etc and it will fall off
