Hi Suz - Day 2 of the challenge, sounds like you're going well, I'm doing well too so far, I had 3 squares of choccy last night but that's better than half a block like usual lol - I don't believe in depriving yourself of stuff like that, it's not sustainable and realistic. I've been for an hour walk the past 2 days and going for another walk today, feeling good about giving this a go. As for the Wii board, you have to weigh in on a hard surface, if you do it on carpet it registers you as lighter, mine makes me 3kgs lighter on the carpet too lol. I got on this morning and it said I've lost 500 grams but that can't be right, perhaps when I weighed in the other day it was before a trip to the loo cause I can't have lost half a kilo in 2 days lol. Oh and as for Craig and the TT, how cute making you guys pull down your pants etc., I had funny visions of that hee hee.

Hi Kymmy - back to school for the kids huh, I'm so glad, I can shop in peace again now. hee hee That's so exciting about your friend, I gather she's not feeling sick then? Lucky her! Like you I can't wait be pregnant again but am totally dreading the morning or all day sickness again. Also, I had a friend tell me yesterday I should wait a bit longer as surely I want to enjoy Amelia for a while first and also how hard it would be having a newborn and a 2 year old. Made me feel guilty and scared so now I'm not sure if trying at the end of the year is such a good idea after all. I'll be 38 next year though otherwise I would wait longer! I wish people would keep their opinions to themselves sometimes.

Hi Madame - so sorry everyone's so crook in your household, fingers crossed that's all over soon. Congrats on finalising the business, you're amazing for doing that with kiddies and all!

Hi Mon - lovely to hear from you, I've been wondering where you were. I love the piccies of your new kittens, they are beautiful. I love people like you, as someone who has helped many dogs find new homes from shelters etc I think it's fabulous that people give these babies a second chance. I just wish more people would do it rather than buy a puppy from a puppy farm. :shakehead:

Hi to anyone else I've missed, I think my professional pics of Amelia are ready to pickup from the Postie, can't wait to see them. Talking of Amelia, she's been asleep for nearly 2 hours but she only had 45 mins this morning so not surprised. DH came home just before her morning nap cause he left his mobile behind and started playing with her and got her overtired. Men, they don't understand the work we put in to their daily routine, grrr. lol Of course she started to get poopy then and he just grabbed his keys and went back to work, yeah thanks for that! NOT! :wall: Oh and one of the girls in my mums group (she had the same OB as me) has to have corrective surgery on her hoo ha tomorrow, apparently she has some major damage "in there" that just hasn't healed from her labour - how awful does that sound! She only went and had it checked at the OB because she hasn't been able to DTD at all due to pain. Poor thing.

Welcome Suz!

I was about to kill DS1 today - we all have colds, but I'm much sicker than the kids, but I kept him home from childcare yesterday & today anyway. My tolerance is affected by the cold & he's been banging things, walking over Mr I's mat, grabbing Mr I & pulling him about (from love, but not as gentle as I'd like) & ignoring everything I've asked. He had a tantrum 'cause the mandarins weren't in the fridge. So looking forward to the next childcare day!

Mr I can now get about by rolling. I've left the room for a second and he's 1.5m to 2m from where I left him chewing on paper or DS1's cars. Gonna have to be more careful about what's on the floor.

I put both boys in the bath together for the first time today (previously DS1 has had a shower with me after dinner) & Mr I was not impressed at having to share his bath. Gave me a look to say "listen, the bath is my relaxing time, I have fun making faces with you & now you expect me to share with this loud, splashing thing!" Maybe I'm reading into it a bit - the look lasted a milisecond before the crying started.

Better go clean up before bed - i plan to be in there by 8:30!

Haha Snowy - yeah we have tantrums over random things - one here the other day about something I had absolutely no control over - the weather :wall:

Madame - ahhh croup - lovely isn't it? I remember DS had it when he was young, he was a right little miserable bugger.. steroids had him bouncing off the walls too...

Mon - congrats on the kitty's - we have a ginger cat too - he's awesome. Also have another cat too - she's just as cute ;)

Hello to everyone else - I'm buggered. DD2 is going through a "I don't want to be put down in the arvo but I'm really tired, but I'm not going to go to sleep, so I'm just going to make you hold onto me..." stage and I'm getting pretty sick of it. Trying to make the most of it, but having her in the sling and trying to get dinner ready, plus the normal after 5pm tanties from the other two - is doing my head in.

Oh no Sarah croup is awful. Please keep an extra close eye on her xx hope she gets better really soon.

Afm I have a headache. I think it's from being tired and not going to bed when I need to, I just have better things to do lol. I'm in bed now though on my iPhone (still so in love with it!). Sorry guys, this is a me post.
I am having troubles with Archie... Every night (well the last 4 or 5) he had fallen asleep in the evening then after about half an hour he will wake and cry (he NEVER usually cries, just whinges) and cry and cry and cry until he eventually exhausts himself and falls asleep, only to wake soon after and repeat. He is getting teeth pain, i can see his teeth just under the surface, so i've been giving him Brauers teething and rescue remedy but why would he be doing this in the evenings and not during the day?? He has been happy as larry during the day. I am starting to dread night time :(

Kymmy - have you tried bonjella, or some panadol? I like to avoid the panadol, but seem to be using it quite a bit lately :rollseyes: Gave Theo some after his 4 month needles, and have had to give it to him a couple of times since this ear infection. They really must be bothering him, poor little man (not to mention poor mummy, haha). I've also found that theo loved the teething rusks, must feel good on the gums! Oh also you giving him a plum to suck on - that'd feel goood too, especailly if they're cold plums. I've given theo a piece of rockmellon before to gum on, it was icy cold and he really enjoyed it. xx

Ladies i've been absolutely DYING to get on here to play with my new membership, scope everything out but i've had my hands full with my little girl! argh!!! Then last night DH was away so i went to bed with her (she's scared of the dark, so its easiest to lie in bed with her).

dr said its actually bronchiolitis. upper respitory virus. just have to ride it out i guess. shocking night last night, harper coughing for an hour sick twice at 4am. totally shattered today. nearly called ambulance but she improved. glad its not whooping cough.

Hi Sarah - I'm so sorry to hear Harper is so unwell, croup is awful, I had it when I was a baby, quite badly apparently and I'm still here! Wishing her a speedy recovery poor petal.

Hi Kymmy - have you tried SM33? It's tonnes better than Bonjela and is safe to use from 4 months, I asked the pharmacist, Bonjela does nothing for Amelia. Also, there's a natural teething tablet you put under their tongue, my friend uses them - can't remember the name but chemists sell them. I can find out if you like, she swears by them. I've used Panadol a few times when she's been really upset and it works a treat, don't need it every time though, the necklace and SM33 seems to be doing the trick so far.

AFM - having some good days, Amelia has been sleeping great at night and having good naps in the day but has still had a few periods of whinging etc......poor toofy pegs. It's probably all a calm before the storm but at the moment I'll take the uninterrupted nights of sleep - she hasn't even needed the dummy being put in at night. But like I said, I don't like to get too excited as when I say something it usually turns to mud. lol

Well this might sound biatchy but when niesha was 5 weeks old I went to see my dad in qld and met my bros size 10 gf well anyway her dd is 7months younger than niesha and now she's huge yay cruel I know but makes me feel better lol

Hi everyone - Madame, I'm so sorry that Harper isn't well... its so awful when kids are sick and we feel so helpless - many many :hug: to you my friend.

Had a huge day today, hung out with another BB member and took DD1 and DD2 to kindergym (of course DD2 didn't participate!!), and then the park, and then some shopping, then playgroup, then back to my friend's house, then dashed back to our place, grabbed another bottle, met up with DH at his work to feed DD2, grabbed DS from daycare and now back home!! Such a huge day - I usually stay at home, so it was quite good for me to get out and about (even though my diet was a bit bad, and no exercise!) and good for DD1 to get out and socialise without her big brother there to help her out. She was so good all day, as was DD2.

Now we have another big day tomorrow - two BB members are coming over to visit us, so the kids will have an absolute ball playing together :) Lets hope for a good night's sleep for all!!!

harper has been asleep now since 530 which is a long time for her, especially at this crazy time of night. has fed a few times- kinda dream feeds, but is just gettin better im sure. precious little darlin, it is so hard to see your bubba so sick and that you cant do anything.

naw sarah... i hope you're right and she's on the mend. Totally agree, there is nothing worse than them suffering and there is nothing you can do :hug: sending lots of love your way x

mel - something really, extremely bright was blinding me as i looked at your message, so i had to highlight it with my mouse to read it. WOOOP!!!! hhahahaha! TTC #4!!!!!! Gee you're a bloody super mum i tell ya!!! :dance: I was trying to read your thread today, with many interuptions, and i must say i agree with most of the others - you clearly are not 'done'. I'm currently going through a similar dilema in my mind, number three, or not? thats one thing in this life that i couldn't handle if i regreted, i also don't feel 'finished' yet. xxx

mon - i read your post and i thought you were talking about the daughter, lol. And i was thinking - why is mon so happy about the poor little girl being overweight? lol!! i'm blonde some days!! Oh i love it when that happens, especially always being the chubby one at school, surrounded by stuck up, rude, girls. then i see them out and about and they aint so glam anymore! hahah! So yep, you're not the only one who thinks like that!

AFM tonight was weigh in at WW, i lost 900grams, which means i've now lost 15.4kg, and i'm now... IN MY 70's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 79.4kg. Okay.. just scraping in there, but hey!! I worked out its beed 6 years since i was in my 70's! feeling FANTASTIC! :) Good luck to all of those starting the 12 week challenge!!

I was really nervous about giving it because Craig projectile vomitted it back at me when I tried to give him some after his 4 month needles.

AFM - Busy day today. Dentist checkup and filling, visited my neighbour and her new baby in hospital, went home to put both boys down for a nap, then back out for groceries. Lucky my Mum is visiting and spent the day with us. Both boys were really good, but Craig's day nap was a bit of a battle and Ryan is constantly soaked with drool and quite grizzley thanks to the teeth. Off to bed soon.

AFM took theo to the dr for a check up, his ears are back to 100%, yipee! No more nasty ear infection! Also went and did the groceries with both kids - my secret weapon is a milkshake for dd, lol! My mum bought my dd a pressie today too... a baby pandora braclet.... !!!! Omg ladies.... i didn't even know they existed - but holy cow they're beautiful!!!!!!!! Can't wait to keep buying her more charms. So far she has her name, and two fairies/princesses. super sweet. Would make an awesome 'welcome to the world' pressent too, for any of you with a girl joining the family. She said it cost $155 (but obviously you could make it cheaper, or more expensive by the number of beads).

Don't get too excited guys, don't think #4 is going to happen anymore.

I know about the subsidised day care/nanny though - my cousin gets that for her kids - she pays like $20 a day or something? BUT - the scheme in tassie is that you have to have a reason why they can't go to a normal day care, so I can't access the scheme because there is no reason why DS can't go to day care. So he just goes to a normal day care, which costs us more - but it gets him some stimulation!!

I'm still sick, been poopin all day - DH even came home early from work to help out with the kids because I was so crook. He got me some drugs to stop the cramps in my belly, and they helped, and I managed to have a tiny slice of zucchini quiche for dinner - but its basically the only thing I've had all day. Poor kids, they had to take care of themselves for a while there!!!

DD2 had a rough time going down at bed time, DH has only just got her down now, she usually goes at 7! She wasn't too happy about it either ;)

Hope everyone else is fine... I'm camping out on the couch at the moment...

Hi Madame - lol I didn't notice that on Mel's signature hee hee. I think we'll all just get our figures back and going for the next and starting all over again ha ha! I was just talking on FB to a friend I haven't seen for a while who has a 9 week old and she's trying already!! She's a year older than me (turning 38 this year although doesn't look it at all) and is on her 2nd marriage so has a 10 year old and now a 9 week old, going for the 3rd. We'll wait until the end of the year, want to enjoy Millie for a bit first, and get my body back before I do it all again (see above) ha ha.

Well, after saying to DH last night that Amelia has been going to sleep so easily lately she went and stuffed that up today. She's gone back to cracking the poops cause she's tired but it's taking me a bit to get her down again - no self settling today, just back to cuddles and rocking to sleep grrrrr. Hope it's just a phase. Why can't they just be consistent lol!

Madame: Is Harper recovered? Did you have to give her a puffer?

I got a phone call on Wednesday from the bank checking if we'd made a $280 transaction on a betting website, which we hadn't so our credit cards are stopped. I have to wait for new cards in the mail. It'll be enforced saving 'cause i can't spend on a whim.

I went to the bank to get cash out (& bank the cheque DH's aunt sent us in Feb as congrats in Mr I :redface:) I bought graoceries with cash for the first time in our relationship. I wanted to go to the Salvos shop to look for trackie dacks and pants for DS1 to wear to childcare. There were no open parking spots & I sat there for a while while Mr I got more and more upset (and I got more & more upset as he got histerical). Eventually someone pointed me to the turn around bit at the end of the car park that I hadn't realised was there.

I drove around the corner and found a park at a lawyers, grabbed Mr I out and just held him saying 'I'm soo sorry". I didn't want the lawyers to attack me (or clamp my car) so after a bit put him back in his seat (he was still upset) and found another park, went to Salvos so he could have more cuddles. Got the trackie daks (so I can look like a dag around the house), pants for DS and a Thomas dressing gown. Nothing for Mr I - the elastic in his hand me down pants from DS1 has perished so I looked for pants for him, but they only had pink in 0's.

When we got home he helped me eat my salad by stealing the lettuce & cucumber - just tasting & feeling it, doubt any got swallowed. then was so tired he fell asleep on his mat on the floor.

He's just woke. BBL

And won't go back to sleep despite waking at 4:30 this morning and having a 10 min catnap when I posted.

Finally seem a little better today - well in saying that, I haven't gone to the toilet yet!!!!

DD2 slept through again last night without a peep, DD1 woke up around 2 screaming like anything, so not sure what was up with that, but DH saw to her cos it takes me too long to get out of bed (stupid back). Then I was awoken at 4am by a HUGE clap of thunder, seriously thought a truck had rammed our house it was that fricken loud - scared the crap outta me. Got up, checked on the girls they were ok still asleep, DS was in our bed of course, so I snuggled up to him and just listened to it rain, thunder and watched the lightning!! Awesome.

Ive been busy busy making bows and clips! I didnt go to bed til after midnight last night argh.
Ruby has been sleeping really well the last couple of days, her day sleeps have been lasting 1.5-2 hrs (they used to be 40 mins). Last night she went to bed at 8.00pm, I got her up at 12.00 for a feed and she didnt wake up again til 5am!! So really she slept 9hrs!!!! Damn it for me not going to bed earlier haha.

hi ladies i feel like every post has an excuse not to do a long one but were getting a new laptop on monday so fingers crossed ill be back oo line tuesday? so hi to all and yes suzi i think violet is teething because she sleeps longer after i put the gel oo her gums :( so i'll elaborate later but violet and i hate been working oo getting her to settle in her cot which has been a little traumatic for both of us but daycare is looming and i want her to be prepared to self settle. not all the time but the daycare ladies do not have magic boobies and im very worried :( so i'll explain everything when i can type better. ooh i have lost just under two kilo this week! woop! a pair of fat jeans i bought is a bit loose! love you all can't wait to contribute properly again x x

Hi Girls - sorry, it's been a very busy weekend! Went out for dinner Friday night, down the block for the night Saturday, back yesterday morning then out in the arvo and then out again today! Poor Amelia hasn't had a decent day nap in days. I'm finding she's only having a decent sleep if she's home and in her cot, she used to sleep anywhere but even if she does that now it's only a short sleep. Oh well, will be staying home for a few days now to get her back on track - she's so buggered she's fallen asleep straight after her last bottle and it's 7.00 pm, she's normally awake until 8.00 pm at least. lol

Had a great weekend though, did everyone else? The weather in Perth has been so beautiful. Exciting too as I had my first weigh in this morning for the 12 week challenge and was expecting not such a good result due to AF arriving last night but I still lost 900 grams so totally happy with that! AF is annoying though, bit painful this month but at least it's spaced out better, 4 weeks since last time, the last one came 3 weeks after the first so wasn't too happy about having them every 3 weeks.

How did you girls go Natty/Suz?

Faltered today though, went to my sister in law's for lunch and they ordered Domino's pizza because she found out they do gluten free pizza, OMG I haven't had a take away pizza for 2 years, I was so excited and it was so delicious! Bad for the diet but I've got a week to work it off so I'm not bothered at all. It was so worth it, it was delish!

So how is everyone else and their bubs? My self settling has gone out the window the past few days and I've gone back to cuddling Amelia to sleep - if I put her down awake she rolls straight onto her tummy and then cries because she can't roll back. I'm hoping that's just a phase as I was liking the self settling....besides, I think she'll get too heavy to cuddle/rock to sleep soon lol!

Anyway, totally knackered so going to kick back with a cuppa, watch some tv and head to bed. Hope everyone and their beautiful bubs are well. xx

AFM - Ryan slept a lot today and was back to cluster feeding. Growth spurt? He's still gnawing on anything he can stick in his mouth. I'm expecting a tooth to break through soon, Craig got his first tooth at 5 months and behaved the same way beforehand. Craig has been sleeping well but was grizzly this arvo and put himself to bed early. He felt hot, temp 38.2 under the arm. Hope he's not coming down with something. We're seeing a photographer tomorrow to get photos done of the boys and I hope I don't have to cancel.

Despite Maccas for lunch one day, ANZAC bikkies and way too much food, I've still managed to lose 900g and 2cm this week. Started a food diary today so I can more disciplined with the food. Plus I've managed to get on the Wii Fit for the last 5 days in a row for 30+ minutes every day. Maybe one day soon I'll even manage to go for a jog!

I just got my results back for my 3rd and final assignment for the first subject in my course and I got 100% HD!!!!!! So this means I have 3 HD's! I am so so happy :)
Now I just need to motivate myself to get back into the next subject.....

Remember last week i was saying he gets up on his hands and knees and does a rock, to the face plant the ground? Well now he gets on his hands and knees, and moves a knee forward, then face plants. And he gets up and does it all over again. So I guess he looks like a bit of a caterpillar, slowing getting along the ground. I really don't want this to happen.... :( haha. dont get me wrong.. i definately want him to develop (duh, what parent doesn't), but this is way too soon for me.. its making me a bit sad! I hope he just sticks to his slow caterpillar hump for a couple of months before he learns to move his hands aswell.
Went to a friends house for dinner tonight and she was gobsmacked by how well he is moving! She's very much like me tho - take their time! they're only little once!
Kymmy and Alicia, when your boys sit up right on their own, do you put them there, or do they get there themselves?? Theo is almost there, by himself.. but hasn't quite gotten the gist, hopefully that will be a while too. haha. If i sit him upright, he is pretty good, but i wouldn't trust him there, and walk away iykwim, im always next to him cause i'm worried he'll go splat.

Omg Telly it looks like Theo is going to be off and running soon lol, It is very wierd to see them growing up so quickly, in a week so much can happen and you have a completely different baby. V is sitting on her own but falls over after a couple of minutes but doesnt really worry about it, she just rolls away or spins around on her tummy. I never know where she will be when I get out of the shower, usually she is up against a wall somewhere, sucking it.....

Suz I hope the photos go well today, and Ryan isnt sick there is nothing more sad than a sick baby.. Good idea on the food diary I think ill do the same so I dont sneak little extra things (have been sneaking in a beer at night..:shhh:

Morning Girls - I need to vent. On Sat night down at our holiday house MIL and FIL were there as was BIL, SIL and their 2 kids. We don't normally go down when the BIL etc are there because they're pains in the backsides (truth be known I can't really stand being around them for too long) and their kids are always sick with something or other. So what happens, the 2 year old threw up in the night with vomiting in his cot, I was so paranoid and wouldn't let him touch Amelia or me the next morning and Paul and I pretty much got up, had a cuppa and came home ha ha. We thought it was probably food as he seemed fine after he vomited (he eats a lot and had eaten those greasy cheese sausage things, dried fruit and all sorts of crap that day) But, DH has just spoken to his dad as they work together and his mum has it now - she did help clean up the vomit and didn't touch Amelia after just in case but I'm so paranoid now. Can you catch gastro or whatever it is by being in the same room? DH said that it was probably because she helped clean up - while the mother just sat at the table and played cards (this is what she's like).....but the office is at his parents house so he's going to be around both his mum and dad today. I feel so ridiculous but I was like, make sure you wash your hands before and after you eat and don't go near your mum. I hate sounding so stupid but I am so paranoid about it, colds are one thing but stomach viruses, no thanks!!!!! DH said his mum is probably more susceptible because she's unhealthy and overweight.......lol - but I guess he does have a point, she's pretty overweight and eats pretty badly. I drove her down while DH drove his dad down with the trailer (DH and I came home alone thank goodness) but on the way down she wanted to stop for breakfast at 10.30 am at the roadhouse, I had nothing but she got a large iced coffee, burger and hot chips and then when we got down to the block we went to the local fair ( which is why we went down in the first place) and ate one of those big fat sausage things (bratworst or whatever it's called) and had an icecream and yada yada. Get the picture? lol.

Anyway, I guess we'll just have to cross our fingers that we can avoid whatever she has huh. grrrr, won't be going down with them again, what a great excuse! ;)

So, how is everyone this morning, it's Tuesday already I guess, funny how long weekends melt into one these days. I remember being at work and hanging out for public holidays, now we just have one long public holiday and I love it! I don't want to go back to work!

Hi, I'm supposed to be working (esp since Mr I is asleep) so I'll be quick. I got a skin check this morning (all good) and thought seeing I was down the street I'd get Mr I weighed. THe nurse said Oh he's got two teeth - I hadn't noticed the second one come through. He's 7.5kg, no wonder my arms get sore!

I don't think you're going overboard Alison - I'd do anything to avoid my kids getting gastro - even clean my house :P. After DS1 got it the first time I started washing the floor at least twice a week, which I should start again seeing Mr I now rolls all over the house.

Congrats on the HD's Ubba, thats awesome! I am in awe 'cause I did uni by correspondance with no children and only got a couple of HD's and a couple of D's - managing HD's and 3 kids and making those clips and everything else - you're a champ. Love the clips - if only we had a girl - but I'm not going back for another.

Better get some work done, otherwise I'll have creditors screaming at me for payment.

Ive got a little time before my friend comes around for a walk around the neighbourhood. Were taking this weight loss thing seriously together and its nice to have someone whos on the same page...I even got her interested in bb, shes the only one of my friends who hasnt looked at me like I am a desperado going online for friends and advice lol.

Anyhow like I said earlier V and I have to get her sleep sorted out because the only decent (ish) day care here that has the hours that I need (early mornings) put their babies to sleep

* On their own
*On their backs

Thats a loooong way from what we do here, fed to sleep and rocked, put into bed on her tummy....

So I freaked oput the other day and rang Tresillian Sleep centreswhich run here in NSW. I have initially said NO WAY to Tresillian as I know they do cc but I was desperate. The lady was really nice and I guess just told me some truths I think I needed to hear, so much so that I was willing to let V cry a little to see if she would even go down...Cut to doday when she went to sleep within SEVEN minutes of being put down. A few grizzles but nothing major although at times she has made a hell of a racket and thats where I try something different like rolling her onto her tummy which she prefers, offering a dummy etc. She will take the dummy if she is desperate but not otherwise..

I have rationalised all this because I am just not coping with constantly needing to rock her off. DH cant do it so I never get a break. I havent had a break from it the entirety of Vs life. I love her so much but I sometimes feel there is nothing ;left for me or my relationship with dh.


So why do I still feel guilty?
