Hi Natty, I'm about to start self settling too, I also cuddle/rock Amelia to sleep 95% of the time! A friend sent me a long but interesting PDF file about self settling techniques. If you have an email address I can email it to you...let me know. :D

 to Natty - don't ever feel guilty about anything you do. We do things for a reason, whether things we need to do for our own sanity, or because our life just depicts it to happen.
I do think the daycare will help get her to sleep though, mine have always been really great with the kids and their sleep. Oh, and mine are tummy sleepers too, but manage ok at daycare to sleep on their backs ;)
I'm pretty lucky with both my girls, they have both self settled at one point or another though, Eden is going through the self settling stage at the moment and its awesome. Its very helpful when I have the two other two running amuck around the house.. LOL Not that she is sleeping much though, she has a few short naps during the day and thats usually about it. She's had 2 sleeps today, and we're just about to leave for Aricyn's swimming lesson (his first one - I'm so nervous!) so DH will have the girls at his work for an hour or so while I'm alone with Aricyn - so poor DH - it will be Eden's nap time by then, AND Kelti hasn't had a nap today.. bahahahahah!! Ahhh I'm so evil....
Better to - helllooooooooooo to everyone
Hey Ubes - how do we order your gorgeous clippies? I FB'd your link to my swimming and mums group friends an hour ago and already one of them has asked how to order as she absolutely loves them. I told her to FB you a message but that I'd also ask you. Get ready for some orders me thinks! xx
Awww thanks for your words ladies, they mean a lot in times when I doubt myself a bit..I sure have missed being able to chat properly.
Alison thanks :) my email is white.natty@gmail.com
Ill take any advice I can about her sleep lol.
Mel at least your dh will give it a go, although mine is gradually getting more confident.
Oh does anyone have skype set up? Im doing mine as I have a webcam in the laptop and it would be great to video call and show our kiddies lol :)
Hi Girls,
Natty - I'd love to set Skype up, just need to work out how to do it I guess. Good luck with the self settling, got to get a bit stricter with that here and not let Ryan fall asleep feeding.
Ubba - Congrats on the HDs!
Alison - Well done with the weight loss, but bummer about AF arriving. I used to always lose more the week after AF than any other week, so :crossfingers: the next week is a good one for you. I thought gastro was passed on by skin contact, so DH should be fine if he washes his hands properly.
Mel - Hope Aricyn's swimming lesson goes well! Does he like water?
Snowy - 7.5kg's a healthy size. That'll build up the arm muscles! I didn't have biceps until I had kids :)
Telly - I hope for your sake that Theo takes a bit longer to work it out before he gets really mobile. But, JIC have you crawled around your house and baby proofed it?
Kym - WTG on the 1/2kg!
Craig was a bit better today so we did the photos. He was a bit 'flat' compared to his usual self, but wasn't grizzly and didn't muck up. Ryan is 5 months old today and as always was the perfect angel. We didn't manage to get many of the boys together, but will have to wait to see how the pics turn out. DH has said it's my Mother's Day pressie, which is good 'cause I was going to suggest it. Food diary is working well, but no exercise today as we had to leave early for the photographer.
oh hello my lovelies!!!!
sorry to have been mia for a while. im sick again and feel miserable and have just been so so busy!
oooohhh natty- skype!!! i too wave furiously to be picked but feel a bit embarassed
i dont know why, just seems wierd! although i'd love love love to "meet" you girls!!! what a great idea- im in!
i agree with everyone else about not feeling guilty on whatever you choose to do. do what you want, think and need to do. I feel terrible when we opened our cafe when tully was 5 months old, of course i worked there, had my mum sit there almost all day with him, i worked, fed, worked, fed ect....meanwhile mum sat, did a few dishes, sat, walked him around the streets in the pram..... but i know we did it for him. for his future. and now we are doing well enough to support him. it is whatever you need to do missy. boy! have i missed your hilarious posts since youve been sans laptop! xox oh, and miss v is so super adorable!!!! well done too on the weight loss, ive been terrible lately, but am so disgusted in myself today at tullys swimming- urgh me in swimmers- yuck- that im making my self get back on the bandwagon. and i know too how you feel with not having a moment to yourself with v- harper is the same. fine with me, handed to dh, cries-back to me- fine. as horrible as it may seem- i'd actually love a day to my self- no kids, to just do stuff i'd like- by myself.x
mel- i hope youre feeling better. so so so hard being sick with kiddies. i suffer terrible migranes *touches wood* and i havent had a big one since before tully, and a friend of mine with a ds the same age as tully is 12 weeks pregnant gets them so so so bad. i dont know how she copes, i know i couldnt. Well done to you too on the walking and gym!! i just need to stop stuffing my big fat face and move a bit more and i hope a bit will drop off. I too would love to skype with you and your gorgeous kiddies- seeing as kelti and eden are an almost identical gap as my poppets!
snowy- wooo hooo mr I!!! TWO toothy pegs???? what a champ! i hope he is a happy little camper. how has he been teething? harper has been chewing madly on anything for ages but i dont know how soon it will be. i have been able to see a tooth since very early on on her bottom gum, close too, but she seems to want to chew hard, like really hard way up the back like where molars are supposted to be! i have no idea! and good on you for trying to work with the kiddies. i try but it just never happens, so its midnight sewing for me!
oh ali- i hope amelia doesnt get gastro. oh god its hard with a little one. tully had it a few times within a few months and gee does your washing machine get a workout...its so hard to see your bubba sick.
freakin IL's huh....its a tough place to be stuck between dh and them huh. especially when amelia is the reason. we have friends who own a pizza restaurant a few doors up from our cafe and they do great pizza. oh, and fab gluten free too!! you have to go there when you come over here to visit!!!!!!!!!!
kymmy- how do you loose 500g and eat creme eggs??? i look at them and tub it on. dont you lose anymore gorgeous girl, you are fabulous! and master archie! gosh is he delicious! gee you two make beautiful babies!
oh my telly- rockin already! that son in law of mine! he's itching to crawl down here to my harper:lol: wow! it goes too fast huh. i want my babies to stay babies a lot longer too. even my bubba boy tully, who now sleeps well in a big bed, understands so so much and feels like yesterday that he was born is a big boy. oh im a little sad about it all. Hows your ww going? i officially suck at it. i feel horrible about my self but it still doesnt motivate me. how have you done it??? youve done so well! i say im going to stick to it and last a month :wall:
ubb- well done missy! HD's?? three gorgeous kiddies AND cuteclippies??? super mumma alert! good on you. im so so happy for you! i told loads of my fb friends to like you and i think quite a few did!!!! i hope it goes really well for you! x
suz- hope craig is feeling ok and ryan pops a tooth soon  poor bubbas. it must be terrible, teething. im glad we dont remember what it was like. i just wish we could make it better. and yay for you on the weight loss this week too! well done! you girls are so good. i just love food too much. thats my trouble. born to be a chef i guess. i hope your photo shoot went ahead. im sure it will be gorgeous x
hey alicia, billy, mon and anyone else ive terribly forgotten :loveshower:
so, for me,
Harper is improving. they decided it was bronciolitis. nothing we could do. just ride it out. terrible when you dont know what to do when she is coughing her lungs up. as long as she was feeding and having wet nappies, all will be fine. gotta love great dr's as regular customers. she too has been really clingy lately. i feel like i dont even pee all day sometimes, let alone get anything done- ie housework, then doing stuff i want to totally goes out the window. its hard with tully too. lately he has been a right turd when i try to do stuff with him, i give in and turn the farkin tv on. i had a bit of a terrible mummy breakdown this week, realising that he jsut watches way way too much tv. how do you girls with more that one kiddie do it?? what can i do with a nearing the terrible twos 21 month old? god its hard....oh poor me.....*slaps herself in the face* sarah, there are plenty of people in the world worse off than you, silly cow
any hoo
so ive got this darn cold back, i think im a bit run down, stressed and tired. we are having more staff issues at the cafe....i feel like i have been a single mum lately too. dh is so tired coz man have we been busy. we must do something right to be this busy, 80 dozen eggs, 220 litres of milk, 22 kg coffee, oh and thats just one week......:o not bad for a little country town huh?
and so we have been putting tully to bed at 6- same time as his usual 7 i guess, with daylight savings changed now, and dh doesnt get home till after 6. so then we eat, he has wine-sometimes more than i like and we bicker over stupid things, and he's asleep on the couch at 9.:shakehead: so i have a few hours of adult conversation a day. god, no wonder im blabbing on so much here. lucky you guys love me
anyway, registered new business name!!!!! opened business bank account!!!! see lease tomorrow!!!!!! oh dear...what am i doing??? am i mad??? no way! im so excited!
so have decided to go more down the kiddies and mummas route. make a fair bit of stuff myself, and source locally, hand made and vintage stuff too! woot! ill keep you all posted. man, its gunna be so cute! can't wait to show you all photos!
anyway, better go, have more planning to do!!! oh and i'd love any input from you gorgeous mummas on things you'd buy! thanks girls
love you all heaps,
x madame x
oh, and
p.s- it's called
Hennie and Fox....
cute? i think so!
xox
suz, you must have jumped in there and posted whilst i was writing my essay,
glad the photo shoot went ahead, hope you get some lovely shots out of it
oh and mel, i forgot to ask how aricyn's swimming went! i go with tully and our mums group. we went today actually. he just loves it and man is he getting good! we started when the kiddies were 6 months. man- that means ill have harper in the water soon!
oh and on the self settling- sometimes harper puts herself to sleep, either in her rocker or the bassinette, or even on the floor on her play mat the other day, but mostly we walk around, patting her, or she feeds to sleep. do what ever you guys need to i say. they learn when they are ready. i was still feeding tully 3 times overnight sometimes at 8-9 months and he got into a really good pattern with self settling at around 11 months. we mostly fed to sleep and co slept as we had just opened a business. we needed to be rested so we did what we needed and i dont regret a thing. i too hate the "you're creating a rod for your own back" sayers. uurrggghh
sorry, man can i talk tonight
x
Hi everyone!!
Thanks for the b’day wishes all that time ago….have been super lazy lately – been reading but not posting…..
Madame – Congrats on the new business and looooove the name – super cute!!! You are superwoman doing all that – you and Ubba could go into business together and make millions with your work ethic!!! JD watches way too much TV over here as well and I feel terribly guilty sometimes…..he is obsessed with Cars at the moment so we play a fair bit with them but I’m always on his case about being quiet etc when Abbey is having a snooze so the poor little blighter doesn’t get much of a chance…..he’s lucky he has a pretty involved Grandma so he does a fair bit with her so that gets him out and about…Hope you start feeling better soon too…..
Suz – Finally I will say HI!!! I’m Shayna Delaforce on FB too if you want to add me as a friend. I have Abbey who went 5 months on the 21st April and JD who is going to be 3 in a couple of weeks……Abbey doesn’t sleep so I’m pretty much running on an empty tank most of the time but I guess she’ll get better one day!! JD is a pretty good kid considering what he has to put with (a tired cranky mummy most of the time!) but is super loud and loves being all over Abbey which isn’t always good!!! Your boys sound lovely and fingers crossed Ryan stays the perfect angel!!!
Hi Natty – Having sleep issues here as well – Abbey gets bounced to sleep pretty much every time now….never used to be like that…she used to drop off on her own or when she was having a feed but now it’s the ball or me rocking her….I really didn’t want to get her used to that (JD was like that and it was a bit of a nightmare…..) but it seems to have happened….
Mel – Hope Aricyn’s swimming lesson went well!!! JD has been going for a while but we took him out during summer as he was being naughty and he swam a fair bit at my dad’s place so he had enough exposure to water but we have just started him back up and Sat was the first lesson back – little nightmare….wouldnt get in at the start, then was splashing another kid in the face, trying to jump in when the teacher wasn’t there….went on and on….I felt like I could jump into the pool and grab him he’s that naughty!!! Good on you with the gym etc – you will be running triathlons and all sorts before you know it!!
Ali – I would love that PDF file as well if you have a chance!! My e-mail is newsomshayna@hotmail.com Hope Amelia is still OK and hasn’t caught the bug!! Congrats on the weight loss too!
Snowy – I cant believe Mr I has 2 teeth now!!! My god….I don’t think I can even feel any of Abbey’s yet…..he’s a nice weight too….
Ubba – Love the clips and will get some as soon as pay day rolls around….you are very creative and talented…I wish I could do something like that but I just don’t have the knack for it.....I used to always want to be a florist but I’m not the creative type so I think I would probably suck at it!!
Hi to everyone else and anyone that I have missed…..
AFM – Abbey is not sleeping well at all…..she’s never up up but whinges enough that I have to get up and see to her. Some nights it would be between 8 and 10 times and then I usually give up and sleep on the lounge with her so at least then I don’t have to get out of bed to sort her out….what happened to the good little girl that was sleeping through about 6 weeks ago??? Shes completely gone and has been replaced with a little whinger!! She’s still only napping about 30 – 40 mins during the day at each bedtime and it does my head in cause I cant get anything done….this morning I put her down, came in here to finally post on BB and I look out 5 mins later and she’s kicking around…..arrrrrghhhhh!!!! The only time she’s happy when she’s up is if she’s in the Jolly Jumper (that doesn’t last too long either!) or being carried around….screams in the car or if she’s left on the floor – even in the shops now so I’m scared to go out for too long with her…..man, I hope this stage ends soon….if she slept during the night I could cope with the day but not both!!
Gave her some veggies last night as I thought that might help but it didn’t. She loved them though so will keep on it. My step sister told me to mix some Farex through it to thicken it up and give her some protein to see if that helps so I’ll try that today..
She’s still only rolling to her left and can sometimes get back or keep going but she’s no where near sitting up or crawling or anything…..is she falling behind???
Talk soon
Sorry for the long me post!
xoxoxo
Just quick as Im heading out....
Shayna no she isnt falling behind. Theyre all different and Abbey will probably have a turn at being the 1st to do something and youll feel better then lol.

Hi Girls!
Hi Shayna/Natty, I've emailed that sleeping document to you, hope you find it helpful. :) And Shayna, Amelia rolls from back to tummy but can't go the other way which is very annoying because if I try and put her to sleep awake she immediately rolls onto her tummy and after a few minutes cries because she can't get back! Grrr. Abbey isn't falling behind, all babies do things at different times, crawling is anywhere from 6 months on average. She could just one day do it so don't worry. I don't want Amelia to crawl yet anyway ha ha.
Hi Madame - I'm glad Harper is on the mend, poor little thing, it's so horrible when they're ill, I've been dreading it myself! Wow you are one busy family! It's great your business is going so well, make sure you take some time out for yourself though. I do love the name of it too, VERY cutie. :D
Hi Suz/Mel/Snowy - hope you are all well.
AFM - well I think Amelia was definitely off colour yesterday, either that or she was just completely exhausted from our massive weekend. She had 2 x 2.5 hour naps and didn't finish her last 2 bottles, her last bottle she only took 100 of the usual 210 mls and fell asleep. I was so worried about her, she didn't have a temp or anything but she just wasn't her usual self all day. Of course last night she tossed and turned all night and kept rolling onto her tummy - not sure if it was because she slept so much during the day or because she wasn't feeling great but I ended getting up and down all night to roll her over onto her back again so now I feel completely shattered today! It's funny how AF knocks you around and then add broken sleep onto that and it's worse! She seems much better this morning, smiling and talking again and she finished her bottle so fingers crossed she's past whatever it was. I'm trying her at a different swimming place this morning, this is just 30 minutes of nursery rhymes but they do allow you to put the babies under, I'm not sure I'm ready for that yet. Has anyone else done that? Anyway will see how this one goes, my other swimming I usually do on a Friday has been cancelled the last 3 weeks and she can only go for another month until 6 months anyway. The one today is from 4 months up to 12 months which is good, and it's only 5 minutes from my place.
Oh and I got my professional pics yesterday, got the framed one on the wall and it looks gorgeous. Will put some of them on FB in the next few days.\
Anyway, best run, Amelia is due for her morning nap. Hope everyone is well!!
Thanks Natty!! I know she'll get there....makes me laugh thinking about the Zoolander remark you said ages ago....so true!!!
AF arrived for me for the first time in 14 months this morning....hate having them back though they dont give me any troubles.....just a pain in the butt!!!
Abbey is here in her Jolly Jumper nearly going the roof she's jumping that hard!! Loving it....makes all the sleepless night worth it I think!!!!
xoxoxo
Hi Shayna - doesn't AF suck, lucky you being the first, I'm onto my 3rd! lol Mine give me cramps for the first day, yesterday not so bad and today they're on their way out I think which is great as it was quite heavy the first day so was worried I was in for a long one! I did not miss having AF while pregnant!
Alison - we did the swimming thing with nursery rhymes with DS1, started him at 6mths, with head under water. We'll start Mr I in August as our swim school has a break from mid-May till August. To get him ready for going under when he has a bath I say "Isaac, ready, go" then put water over his face (I wash his face at the same time), it trains them to close their eyes on the command, so hopefully we'll have no problems in August. DS1 loved swimming from 6mths, but I stopped going for a few months over winter when he was 9 or 10 mths and then when we went back at about 12mths he took a few weeks to get back to liking it.
hey ladies
just a super quick one
alison :hello: me too please. definately keen on a read. will decide if i should take that road... still very iffy tho. seeing as we still cuddle dd to sleep most nights  telina_jacobson@hotmail.com as for swimming, yep we did head under water at 6 months. they led her into it tho, tipped a cup over her head a couple of times, then we had to do it at home, then the next week she went under. does that make sense?
Shayna - i think YOU are the super mum! Giving credit to everyone else, lol, YOU deserve a damn pat on the back! Your little miss sounds terribly familiar.. my dd was identical i think. If it makes you feel better, she still sucks to get to sleep. hahahahahahaha! sorry!! xxx
natty - wish i had skype :( damn crappy old computer. would love to SEE you all! Welcome back to the world of addiction too btw. damn bb, the reason my house constantly looks like a bomb has hit it ! grr!
sarah - hennie and fox... nawww!! super beautiful! It even sounds like good quality clothing, does that make sense?? reminds me of max and tilly brand - which is gorgeous. I just know you're going to be sucessful - simply because you can hear the passion in your posts... someone with that much passion with what they do - is definately going to make a killing! glad to hear our beautiful girl is feeling better xx look after yourself
suz - glad the photos went well, can't wait to see them!
:hello: mon, alicia, billy, snowy, bella
afm - theo is teething. he is crying crying crying at just about everything! I thought his ear infection was back, took him to the dr, and nope - they're fine. So thats all i can put it down too. I gave him panadol twice yesterday, and once today.. i don't like to but he is so sick poor little guy. man i hate teething!!
Got a call from church, theo is getting baptised on the 9th of may, mothers day. so we're just doing the service then back to our home for a bbq. we sorted the godparent dilema too, she's agreed to let dh and myself be the actual godparents aswell. got my sis doing up someinvites as i type! yippee to having a graphic designer for a sis! haha!
love you all
xx
Hi Telly - sure thing, will send it over tomoz on email for you. Don't worry, I still cuddle to sleep, I'll get there eventually but right now I don't care, Amelia sleeps all night and wakes up happy so why does it matter?
Sorry for no persies tonight, just a quick one as DH has hogged the computer all night and it's now late.
Amelia is still not herself today, how can I tell if it's teeth or sickness? Yesterday she slept heaps, was restless last night, I went into her a few times to roll her off her tummy although she didn't wake up as such but was very vocal in her sleep. Anyway, she had her bottle this morning after not finishing her last one last night and then I took her to the new swimming, they don't make you submerse them until the 2nd week. Anyway, when I got her home she was very upset, I fed her, she fussed through the whole bottle again, then went down for another 1.5......(she also had 1.5 hours in the morning), then fussed through her afternoon bottle and then did 2 very runny poos in a row (bath material), definitely diarrohea (sp?).........she seemed ok after that and had another 1.5 hr sleep, she finished her last bottle but I gave it to her in 2 lots with a 30 min gap just in case - the nappy leaked onto the floor while I was racing her to the changetable that's how bad that one was. Mum said it's probably teeth but I'm worried she's caught the gastro bug off DH's nephew last weekend, I'll be bloomin mad if so. Anyone else's bubs go off their food and get yellow runny poos when they're teething - she was chewing on her bottom lip a lot today. I feel upset about it because I don't know what I can do for her, I hope she's better tomorrow poor petal.
Anyway, sorry for no persies, will write more tomoz.
xx
Ali: Archie has been doing the exact same thing! He has been doing gross poos and is a little off his food. I definately think it sounds like teething. If she goes completely off her food and throws up or has watery poo then i would be worried about gastro. This teething caper sucks! Archie has been okay the last few days but was waking up crying all the time and has been sucking on his fist all day long! Our poor lil bubbas :( If only they could talk to us! I've been using Brauer Teething Relief and Rescue Remedy and i honestly find that it works. I tried panadol the other night and it didn't give him any more relief than the other stuff. Give Amelia a big cuddle xx
Telly: Poor bubba Feo :( it is so horrble isn't it? Yay on the baptism! I've never heard that they parents can also be godparents.. mind you i've never looked into it! What a nice day to have it too, Mothers day.
Shayna:  Abbey is not falling behind. I saw a baby that was 12 months old the other day and not crawling yet and the mum had had him checked by the doc and there is nothing wrong with him, he just didn't find the need to crawl yet. Abbey is probably just happy rolling and screaming for now  .... just kidding! But i wouldn't have even known Archie could sit, one day i just thought i'd try and he could do it and i was kinda shocked.. but he isn't that great on his tummy and is definately nowhere near crawling!
Jolly jumpers are awesome hey? But i can't seem to get Archie at the right height in his, he always ends up spinning around in a circle (involuntarily! haha) so i don't know what i'm doing wrong! He has a Jumperoo though and LOVES that so we mainly use that.
Sarah: LOVE LOVE LOVE Hennie and Fox! GREAT name! I can't wait to see!!!!
Sorry i have to go! Archie is waking... Hello everyone else.. I'll be back later xxxx
Hi Ladies!
Shayna, I never intended on having to rock V off either but because of the reflux and her constant screaming it just happened, She used to fall asleep mid scream lol...Now it is a lot better in the short time I have been putting her in her bed she seems to be at an age where she knows Im in the room with her and its me patting her bum but I just cant pick her up. (I do if she is losing it bad though). V starts crying at the wrapping stage though its like she is getting pi55ed at me in advance lol. The wierd thing is that now she sucks on a dummy like theres no tomorrow but also her feeds are a lot more structured. The lady at Tresillian tols me to disassociate the boob with sleeping so now I feed her when she wakes up then she plays then when she starts getting shirty I wrap her and put her in bed with the dummy. She wont take it at first and bites it so it shoots across the cot then gets pi55ed that its gone lol.:wall: She usually has a bit of a crack at that point and I leave her about a minute till she is really cranky then I give it back to her and no way will she try that again :o Then she is asleep within a couple of minutes... haha theres a lot more to it I try putting her on her belly or side as she prefers her belly..Sometimes
BLAH How long was that! Does that sound about right to you who put theres in awake?
oh no V is awake thats the end of the peace and quiet lol
Hi Girls,
I've bitten off a bit more than I can chew it seems, trying to keep up with 2 BB threads, plus the 12 week challenge one!
Natty - I put Ryan down when he's looking sleepy but still awake, with no dramas. At night he was falling asleep during the last feed, but I've been trying to keep him awake (tickling his feet) long enough to get him to bed first. No-Cry Sleep Solution Elizabeth Pantley has heaps of tips on putting them down still awake.
Alison - Oh dear, that does sound like Gastro! I hope Amelia's feeling better soon. You're doing all the right things. It's so hard when our bub's are sick  I keep forgetting to post something the MACH nurse told me when Craig kept rolling over at night and waking to be rolled back. She said that he was old enough to turn his head and wouldn't suffocate, so leave him like that. And funny enough, he stopped crying that night after we saw her. We were waking him by repositioning him through the night. I just leave Ryan now.
Kym - Poor Archie! Good to knew the Brauers Teething Relief works.
Tel - That's great about Theo's baptism! I also didn't know parents could be godparents to their own kids. Poor Theo. Ear infections are the absolute worst and teething is pretty awful too, poor bunny.
Mel - Slap me! I just noticed I referred to Aricyn as 'she' Hope your day got better.
Shayna - Boo! Damn AF. Why can't she stay away forever? OK, I know the answer to that question, but you KWIM :D How did Abbey go with solids today? She's not behind, Ryan's still only rolling around and can't sit up on his own. Hope Abbey settles back in to sleeping through.
Madame - I love the business name! Wow, you must be flat out. Too much TV watching going on here too. We're off to the Zoo tomorrow to avoid the TV. If we're at home Craig will just keep asking for shows and he can use the remote too to turn it on.
Hi :hello: to any other buddies out there reading.
Not much going on here. Craig's back to taking himself to the potty and practically putting himself to bed now, no more toddler tantrums at bedtime. Huge difference to the start of the month! Just in time for Ryan to start getting his first tooth (wish it would hurry up!). My New Year's Resolution is out of the way, the scales said 79.8kg this morning! I haven't been under 80kg since my wedding 5 years ago. Then the Wii Fit said my BMI was 'Ideal' instead of 'Overweight', so I'm happy happy happy and don't care how saggy baggy and wrinkly I look. Damn it, I even bought mascara today. I haven't worn mascara for 6 months! Now all I need is a haircut and colour. I've promised myself some new clothes if I shift another 5kg.
just quickly- well done suz!
you, alicia, telly and i are all at a very similar weight!
go us all!
keep up the good work girlies
xox

Quick update of Cruz - 9kgs, both bottom teeth now out, eats pumpkin, farex, apple & pear, currently has his first cold poor bubba - Mummy's sick too :( Starts Daycare in July 2 days a week as I am going back to study 4 days a week and DH can work his shifts at the prison around so he can stay home with Cruz for 2 days... I am sooo nervous about not being with my boy! Haven't spent more than 2 hours away from him since he was born and that was when he was home asleep with DH!!
Have a Wedding tomorrow 2 mins down the road from my Grandparents house so am taking him there at 7pm, bathing him and putting him to sleep then going back to the reception - Mama's gonna get her drink on woot woo - First real separation from him for DH and I (as DH is coming back to the Wedding too) so we'll see how long I last!!

Hi Girls!
Hi Kymmy - WOW CONGRATULATIONS OMG! Don't worry, you've done it before you'll be great, how lovely to have them close together, I'd consider it if it wasn't for the c-section, I have to wait until Amelia is at least 8 months old before I get pregnant, doctors orders lol. We'll start trying at the end of year and hope I fall straight away (fingers crossed). My sister's kids are 12 months apart (by one week), it was tough at first but they're 16 and 17 now (boy and girl) and they are so close, it's really lovely to watch. She didn't have a lot of support from her husband back then either which you have so you'll be fine mate, well done, I'm super happy for you. Like Natty said though, you can't leave our thread, we'll just stalk you on FB - why not, others seem to do a good job of it ;)
Hi Suz - now you know how I feel! I've been on the Nov and Dec threads since finding out I was pregnant ha ha - it's hard at times. Sometimes I have to admit I do a "cut and paste" of the blurb about myself, I don't always have the time or energy to retype the same things lol. Well done on your weight loss, you are doing so fab, you go girl! I haven't done any exercise this week as Amelia's been ill and then I was ill myself yesterday. Although I didn't eat at all yesterday and spent half the day on the loo so did lose a little weight. I reckon by Monday it will all be back on though, I'm really hungry now making up for lost time lol! I feel crap that I didn't get any proper exercise in though but couldn't be helped.
Hi Everyone else, how are we all?
AFM - well, I've just had the sh*ttiest week, Amelia has been so ill with this stomach bug and then yesterday I got it - luckily it passed quite quickly but I felt like death yesterday and had to try and look after Millie while DH was at work. I asked him to come home early and he said yes, he got home at 4.00 pm WTF!! 2 days before that he took the day off to go fishing with his dad, grrrr. Mum came over to help me with Amelia Thursday and I just phoned her and unfortunately she's now got it and I feel so bad. Worse is she's been staying at my sister's this week (she went back down south yesterday) so I am now worried she's passed it onto her family, I rang this morning, so far so good. DH's mum had it, DH's sister in law had it - it was her little boy who started it grrr - and now my mum. DH's dad and brother didn't get it and DH said he's been fine, felt a bit off earlier in the week but otherwise ok (touch wood). Honestly, if we hadn't of stayed with them last weekend down south none of this would've happened. I know it will eventually but I was so worried about Amelia, today so far is the first day I think she's been ok - she had a pooey nappy at 6.00 am so I changed her but she hasn't had any since, I've been changing her nappy every hour the last 4 days! She's been taking water and having her milk since yesterday fully again so I think she's over it now - she was sleeping so much in the day but restless at night, our routine has gone completely out the window. I hope she goes back when she's completely well again, poor petal. I failed the test on coping with a sick baby, Thursday night I just burst into tears and couldn't stop - hence why mum came over because DH was at indoor cricket. I was just worried and angry.......I tried getting her into the doc but they're full until next week and because she seems better today I thought I'd leave it. Everyone has told me there's nothing they will be able to do anyway and to just keep up her fluids. I didn't expect her to be ill for 4 days though. Mum said it's good for them to be exposed anyway so they can build up an immunity but still, not nice....this is one of the reasons I'm concerned about daycare but you can't keep them locked up forever hey!
Anyway, I've gone on and on, best go do some cleaning up, I've done nothing all week and the house looks like a bomb has hit it. I tell you what though girls, I will never take Amelia being well again for granted, it's killed me seeing her so ill.
Thanks so much girls!!! AS IF I'd ever leave you guys! I love you all so much!
I'm on iPhone, it's a pain, but wanted to say that I'll never stray from you guys!! Haha! But I did join my new belly buddies group and am feeling more excited every day!
Glad you and Amelia are feeling better Alison..
Can't remember what the rest of you wrote so I'll post again tomorrow xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Hi Ladies!
Oh Kymmy Im so happy for you! In a way Im jealous but in another way I dont think I myself could do it again so soon seeing as I struggled a fair bit with V. I am however soooo excited for you xx
Alison, Im glad you and Amelia are feeling better now. Nothing more horrible than a sick bubba and it doesnt help when you are sick yourself...
Madame I love the name! Where did it come from? I hope you have an online option too :) You are so busy I really admire how you can juggle so many things!
Alicia, Cruz sounds like he is doing so well! And getting teeth all over the place lol I can wait for Vs seing as Im not too keen on her chewing on my boobs lol. I have given V pumpkin, potato, broccoli, sweet potato, carrot, banana and this vege soup with bacon in it that I made for my diet lol, she looooves it and it has heaps of parsnips in it amongst other things so she is getting a good range now....oh and rusks although she doesnt get too far with them. Good luck with the daycare, V starts 1 day in July too, just to get her used to the idea and we can iron any dramas out before next year when I go back full time....NOT looking forward to it at all.... :(
Suzi thanks for that info and congratulations on going under 80kg! What a good feeling you must have :) I on the other hand dont think I will have any loss this week, I have exercised but have maybe not eaten very well this week....Hmmm must get onto that...
Hi everyone else!
So a bit about me now lol..
V is getting usd to going down on her own but it can be a bit of a struggle at some moments.. I feel like a great weight has been lifted off my shoulders though, cuddling her to sleep used to take so long and now I can get things done around the place that I had to let slip before. Tonight she wouldnt settle on her own so I sat in her room and rocked her and it took only 5 mins and she was gone, usually it would take 2 hours or so of cuddling and feeding in the evenings, leaving me exhausted when she actually did go to bed.
I washed a few little tracksuits today so I can start rugging her up a bit now it is getting cold here now. I have been keeping an eye out for sales etc but its so hard to anticipate her size. She is still in some 000 but also some 00 aswell. Most things I have to roll up the little arms anyway...
Shes pretty much able to sit on her own if I put her there but does a face plant at some point along the way lol..Oh I also changed the car seat around...:hide: She was really struggling in it the other way around, she would go as stiff as a board and it was so hard to put her in so I made the call. Its still reclined a bit so her neck is not strained but I still know I have done it too early... I really think she is better restrained this way as she doesnt fight it and I can get the straps on her properly. Hmmm I can convince myself of anything if I try hard enough....
Anyway Im going for a bit of a browse then off to bed, Dh has gone to the footy so I have a night in by myself so I might go have an early night.
xxx
Natty
:dance::confetti:Congratulations Kymmy!!! WOW. Here's to a happy and healthy 9 months!!!:confetti::dance:
Hey Girls,
How are you all!?
I am feeling sooo tired! Went to an engagement party last night, only stayed for a couple of hours, as we had Archie with us, but i am knackered today! First sigs of pregnancy i guess! Archie has been great lately. Last week he was very grumpy (teething) but he seems fine this week, and i THINK i can feel his first tooth but am not 100% sure! He is such a little darling! I'm so lucky to have two awesome kids... they are both angels.
Natty: i know how you feel about the cuddling to sleep issues! Archie will occasionally put himself to sleep but most of the time he will only go down if i lay with him! FRUSTRATING! I will have to get him out of that quick smart!
Telly: Your hair looks soooo nice! You are such a hotty! Beautiful skin and eyes... i'm jealous, i'm all pasty! haha! I actually own my own spray tan machine! It's the only way i tan! haha!
Mel: Have you done the 13 month age gap? I'm a bit nervous!! I even had a dream about twin prams last night! hahaha! It must really be on my mind! Gosh, i still can't believe it......
Sarah: I hope you are next too!!! Lets do it together again! hahaha!
Alicia: Cruz sounds like he is doing so great! You sound like such a happy little lovey dovey family! It is great to hear!! Well done babe xx
Shayna, Mon, Angela, Bec, Suz, Alison (and anyone else i may have missed???) :hello: Hope you are all well x
And thankyou again to you all for all your nice words of congrats! It means alot... I feel so supported by you guys :grouphug:
I am actually starting to feel excited now! Still in shock, but excited! Don't know how much longer i am going to be able to hide it cos my tummy is already popping out (as it did with Archie!), No wonder i gained a couple of cms last week! hahahaha! I was a bit puzzled as i had been exercising!
Have a lovely rest of Sunday ladies xxxx
Nah mate, there is just under 19 months between DS and DD1, and just under 16 months between DD1 and DD2 - so not 13 months, but not too far off it. You'll be fine
Oh, and twin prams are good, I have one here that my aunty gave me, its old but it still works. I usually put the girls in it, and carry DS on my back. Or I have DS and DD1 in there and carry DD2 - I try to take turns carrying them, just so they all get some special mummy love.
Hi to everyone else - been busy at the gym so haven't really had a chance to sit down and go through all posts (Sorry, slack I know) plus I've been trying to cut down on BB time lately and trying to spend a lot of time with the kids - and trying to keep my house clean, its an ongoing struggle to fit everything in!!
In saying that, I have washing to do and have to finish the washing up, clean up the loungeroom and sweep the floor before going to bed. And I'm already exhausted!!
Much love to all - hope you are all well xxxx
:loveshower:
Kymmie niesha and hunter are 14 months apart and I didn't find it hard but compared to a younger mally nothing seems hard lol
Mally had his first aus kids footy game today and was a champ he was so good the coach asked if he played before but he hasn't lol he got the ball heaps!!!!!finally all this energy going to good use, I think I may have a future captain for the dockers on my hands
