Kymmy - You're too kind! :hug: You ladies always make me feel so special, i love you all ;) Yep, I am really happy with my hair too, it's a shame it will probably be another 7 months before i get the time to go in again, but for now, i'm really enjoying it! Last night I had a wedding, so got very fancy in a nice ****tail dress (where those photos were taken). My boobs looked great in it, hahaha! DH was very proud! And by the end of the night.. holy cow.. literally, cow! lol! They were definately eye catching! teehehe! I felt very sexy indeed!
Yep, definately explains the extra cm's you gained last week despite your exercise.. gosh! I can't believe its really happening! I've got excited nervous butterflies in my tummy for you! Does that make sense?! Geez anyone would swear it was me! I even had a dream last night that i was up the duff and you and I were in the same bb thread again too (yes i know.. i even dream about my bb girls, haha ;)) Tiredness is definatley the first sign. How many weeks are you?? You should get a ticker so i can be in the know! Hope you dont get too sick.. But just a little so you know everything is good, iykwim. Have you told your bestie yet?? We're all here for you! and want to be filled in on EVERYTHING k!? Will you find out the sex this time aswell???? hmm... I'm picking a ... GIRL!

Mon - Awesome awesome news that mally is doing so well in his footy! woohoo! Little champion in the making. I bet he is just loving it! I even bet jose is loving it! haha! I was going through your photos the other day too.. gosh how much serenity has grown! She is truly THRIVING! You are such a fantastic mummy, you must be soooo proud! xx

Natty dont stress about the car seat - you're her mummy, no one else! She will be fine! I remember Kaili was HORRIBLE facing backwards too. I was thinking to myself earlier this week actually how lucky i am, cause theo is such a good traveller. Then today we took DDs seat out and put it in the other car (DH was taking her to a homeshow expo, i was taking DS to lunch with me) and he was not happy jan! :( Then i realised its not necessarily that he's a great traveller, its that he has his big sis chatting to him 24/7, so there's no need to cry! haha! V sounds like shes a little tropper with her sleep! I think i should pull my finger out too, or i'll end up with another kaili. But its so hard isn't it.. there's nothing more beautiful than cuddling them to sleep.. nawww soo precious. (yep, im a sucker!) And woohoo on the dummy too!! That really surprised me! Theo isn't a dummy man either.. but after reading your post im thinking.. hmmm, perhaps he is?

Alison - i never recieved the email on self settling? telina_jacobson@hotmail.com would you be able to give it another go please? thank you x I know what you mean about the germs at daycare.. eew. Im the same 100% The only 'care' i hope to put our kids in will be kindy.
But you know, in regards to germs - they say (whoever 'they' are, lol), that the best thing you can do for kids when it comes to 'building their immune system' is to have a family dog! :p So you've got your bases covered! hehe! Do you have any plans to head back to work now? its a tough decision hey.. sounds like you are in the same frame of mind i was after having dd. I knew we were going to have another baby, sooner rather than later, so found going back to work a bit pointless. We were lucky enough that DH has a steady paying job, and with the right budget we can afford for me to be a SAHM. which i just LOVE!

Alicia - Hey beautiful! Just so you know, you ALWAYS make me either smile or chuckle! I just love reading all your posts xx Thanks for the comments on FB too, milf! woop! I might say you're a bit of a MILF yourself! Cruz is clearly thriving, 9 kilos! holy cow! You're a great mummy, and totally agree with kymmy, it sounds like your little family is so inlove, its just beuatiful. any plans for more cuties? You really should, you're clearly a professional baby maker! haha! Cruz is just devine, i just love him to bits!

Anyway, i best head off.
i planned on writing more, but DH is irritating me asking me if i've finished my novel :rolleyes: okay.. it might be a tad long, but hey! I haven't been on for two days!!!

Natty - I missed your post about turning the car seat around. I'm a big believer (and supporter) of everyone parenting in their own way - because you are their parent and you know whats best. But in saying that - have you seen this clip? HERE

I changed Aricyn over when he got to 8 kgs - and then I saw this, and I felt sick to my stomach.

I just thought I would bring your attention to this cos I would hate for you to feel the guilt that I did after I saw it - I felt awful!!

FWIW - I got DD1 to sit rearward facing until she was 13 months old, and only changed her because we rented a car and car seat down in tassie and they put it in foward facing, and it was pi$$ing down rain and we just wanted to get in the car and out of the rain!

Of course you can tell me to mind my own business and pi$$ off - but I just wanted to save you from feeling any guilt about your decision :hug:

Hi Girls,

Well I'm back in the land of the living after the crappiest week ever! Amelia was ill for 5 days all up and I have changed so many nappies it's not even funny! Then I got ill Friday and then yesterday DH came down with it....thank goodness it seems to be a 24 hour thing - except for poor Millie and we're all back to normal today, phew! I had to laugh though, DH said yesterday that he hasn't felt that ill in a long time and I said, well now you know how I felt on Friday while trying to also look after a sick baby, his response was, "you should've told me how bad you were feeling".....I said, well for one I'm not a whinger and secondly why do you think I asked you to come home from work early........twit. He got home Friday at 4.00 pm, yeah, real early! Oh well, at least now he gets it, men honestly!

On the upside I had my weigh in this morning for the 12 week challenge and woo hoo!!!! I've lost 2.3 kgs in 2 weeks....I will add though this last week I didn't do much exercise due to being confined at home whilst looking after a sick bubby but I still ate well and of course then Friday I didn't eat at all because I wasn't feeling well and I did go to the loo 3 times so probably lost a bit there (sorry TMI). But I'm also hoping some of it is carry over from the week before as I had AF when I weighed in that first week. I've also lost 2cms off my waist this week. I tell you what though, it's so motivating seeing the scales finally go down after so long, I should've done something sooner instead of constantly making excuses. All I've really done is cut down on the crap that I put in my mouth, I still have treats just not as many and not as often and of course I'm trying to do a bit more exercise and drink a little more water and a lot less fizzy drinks! I expect to taper off from hereon in but I still have 4 kgs I want to lose so must keep at it.

Hope everyone else had great weekends, better than me anyway lol! Hopefully that's it for us for a little while at least!

forgot to mention that we got dd's ears peirced on saturday! put the numbing cream on first and she didn't even cry! my mum asked her if it hurt and she said "no grandma, its like getting a hair cut", haha! she looks so pretty. also today she went to the wiggles concert, LOVED IT!!! had the best time! :p

oh also, on another note, "DH" and I have decided to start saving for our wedding! I must say i'm getting pretty excited that we're actually going to get married.. we've been together for 8 years now! probably wont actually happen for a while, but just that we're saving is enough to excite me, haha! Im picking in 2012.. hopefully sooner, but that is probably realistic for us to save enough. We've decided not to tell ppl either, so dont say anything on FB please. We're just one day going to send out invites, lol. would love to see peoples faces when they get them in the mail, haha!

I wish she was happy :( i suppose it will just take her time to get used to the idea...
I am 4 weeks and 1 day (hahaha) and you have actually just reminded me to get a ticker!! And i will be finding out the sex.... i'm guessing BOY! Seriously guys, my stomach is BIG already.... we are going to have to tell Brit very soon cos she told me a few days ago that i look pregnant :o ...... Hello everyone else!

AFM: We had to take our car back to the dealer for some warrantee work to be done and cos we had time to kill we went looking at a baby shop at.......... (drum roll please)..... TWIN PRAMS. Hhahahahahaha! I was shocked that DH even came with me as he only ever stepped foot in the baby shop once whle PG with Archie and it was a VERY quick visit! He really likes the double buggy though which is a relief cos thats the one i like!..... a bit premature, i know, but we just happened to be in the area!
I am getting really tired by the end of the day and have been going to bed earlier than usual... in fact i am about to head there now!!
Brit is going great (and CAN'T wait to get her 'Cute Clippies' in the mail!!) and Archie is great too (the poo explosion he did this afternoon, though, NOT so great!)... has anyone else noticed teething=pooing???

Yep I dont miss the tiredness of pregnancy, make sure you get dh and Brit to help because you will be sooo tired by the end of the day...Funny how I thought it would be nice and relaxing staying at home with V lol...:rolleyes:

Mon, Mally looks like he found his energy outlet lol :) I love it when little kids get excited about sport, I hope V picks something cool.

How did everyone go with the weight loss? I only lost 300g this week, a bit disappointing but Im still on track for 12kg in 12 weeks. I actually did a sneaky weigh this morning and Id lost a further 300 so I wonder if it will continue or if it was just a poo? :rofl:

V is doing so well with her sleeping, Yesterday she slept twice...IN HER PRAM!!!!! The one that doesnt face me!!!!! It was time for her nap and I felt bad about eating crap last week so I popped her in and did 5k in the morning and 5k in the afternoon with my friend, and she slept both times! She also went off once in her cot and last night fell asleep while I was having a cuddle so I didnt even wrap her, just popped her in and patted her on the bum till she zonked out 2 seconds later...Easy peasy!

We went to Featherdale Wildlife Park on the weekend and she loved it! DH was amazed that she was so alert and wanting to touch the wallabies and other animals (photos on fb) she even skipped any form of sleep and just was wide eyed and enthalled by the animals..so cute she passed out within seconds of being put in the car. Taking her places is so easy now, I cant believe how much she has changed :)

Anyhoo I should fold some washing but Ill probably just go check out fb lol

Natty - V sounded so cute at the Animal Park! Don't worry about the weight loss, as you said you're still on track. Yay for V sleeping so well for you and yay for you doing 10k all up with V asleep in the pram! Wow!

Stoked - That's great DH was more interested in the baby shop this time. A twin pram is a great idea with the close gap, it's not too early to be thinking about this stuff. You must be zonked, pregnant with 2 kids, glad you're putting yourself to bed early.

Telly - Whhoooooot!!!! Congratulations on planning your wedding :) DH and I married on our 10th anniversary of meeting. We've been married 5 years this year. Love the idea of not saying anything and just sending out the invites! Looking great there girl! I have to say your post about getting under 80kg was big inspiration for me on the 12 week challenge!

Mel - Thanks for posting that link about the car seats. We just had a friend tell us that we should be glad we bought the car we did, as another friend rolled the same make/model car on the weekend and the whole family were uninjured. Fact is, we primarily bought the car because DH and I are tall and we needed room for the passenger sitting in front of the rear-facing child seat. I don't know how you find time to do the Gym, housework and entertain 3 kids, you're amazing!

Mon - Mally sounds like a talented boy, glad he's enjoying playing sport :)

Alison - Well done on your weight loss! You had a shocker of a week with both you and A being sick, then DH too :( But I'm sure you'll get the exercise in this week and will see even better results!

Sarah - How funny is that, that 'you, alicia, telly and i are all at a very similar weight'?! AFM - Weight loss went much better this week thanks to Calorie King. I told it I'm BF and it gave me 2000 calories a day. Yesterday was the only day I went over and that was because I didn't add up the calories for the dinner I cooked and served myself a portion that was waaaaaay too big. When I was pg I gave all my skinny clothes to charity, thinking I might never be that skinny again. But I kept one pair of jeans and just for fun I tried them on yesterday. They don't just go up over my thighs, they actually do right up! Pity about the big guy that hangs over the top, but I can't believe they actually fit!!! I need a major wardrobe overhaul.

Time to go do something outside with these kids.

Hi Kymmy - sure, will send that docco through to you in a minnie. Wow twin prams lol...reality huh. My friend that I met when doing pregnancy aqua had twins and has a now 24 month old, her twins are nearly 7 months old so her daughter was 17 months when they were born. So she has a twin mountain buggy with a toddler seat on top, what a contraption! Seriously though, she is a super mum, never stressed, always smiling, even seeing her feeding the two of them while entertaining the first is amazing, I couldn't do it lol! Shame your friend hasn't come to terms with her PG yet, I can't imagine not be excited but if you're not ready you're not ready I guess. She will though, when she sees that first scan at 12 weeks she will do a complete turn around, I was excited of course but because I had been feeling so sick for that first trimester it wasn't until I saw the 12 week scan that it felt real and I suddenly didn't care about the nausea. Once you see that little being that you have created you have a completely different outlook on it don't you, remember that girls, what an amazing moment....well it was for me anyway, I still look at Amelia and marvel at how she grew inside me, brings tears to my eyes to this day. :D

Hi Telly - that's so exciting yay, I love a good wedding! I had a lovely day, did most of the organising and making of everything myself with the help of my very crafty sisters - of course it helps that one is an artist and we did the whole day for under $15,000 - sounds a lot but everyone I know is spending around $20-30,000+!!!! Ridiculous. I bought my material from India (100% raw silk) online after picking from swatches they sent me, then I sent the material to a place in China and gave them a picture and they made it! I had a few things done back here by a dressmaker who ironically cost me the most (I had all the bridesmaids dresses done the same way) but my dress with the alterations done here cost me $900 altogether - the one in the shop I copied it from was $2,500! Anyway, can give you the details of the place if you're interested, I've sent heaps of people there for ballgowns etc and everyone has been happy. I found them on Ebay lol.

Hi Natty - I love your piccies of V at the animal park, she's so gorgeous, that hair, Amelia is so jealous!! :D I lost 1.4 kgs this week, I think mostly because a) I was sick on Friday and didn't eat all day and b) I had AF the weigh in before so I expected to carry some over to this week as I always weigh heavier with AF. I've lost 5cms from my waist in 2 weeks though and I hope that stays that way!!!! Nothing off my hips though, my tummy is the problem area though so expect to lose it from there more.

Hi Suz - well done on your weight loss, isn't it nice to start noticing your clothes fitting better, I haven't tried my normal jeans yet but I put my maternity ones on yesterday and they're starting to fall down! I end up looking like I've pooped my pants because the crutch ends up lower lol. Shame as they're the comfiest jeans but I'd rather be thinner and not wear them thanks! I am tempted to get a smaller pair of these ones though ha ha, they're the most comfy jeans I've ever owned and having the elastic waist thing is so much more comfortable and easier then buttons and zips!

Hi Snowy, Mel, Mon, Madame - hope you are all well!

Well I'm off to have my hair done today, desperately needs a cut and colour refresh. :D

Mr I has projectile vomited about ten times since 2am. Makes the wierdest noise then out it comes. Its different to how he's been spewing for the last 5 1/2 mths. He's not hot so I don't think its worrysome, but I've been waiting for a wet nappy to make sure he's alright. The last one at 9am had a pink spot. I tried to give him water, but he can't work out how to get it up the straw and idiot me bought a cup with a valve on it (no spill, yeah no drink too!) If the nappy is not soaked when he wakes I'll try with his small open cup.

We went to DH's work BBQ yesterday (Labour day pub hol), but I don't think anyone got too close to him to give him anything. I'll just keep an eye one him.

Got my hair cut on Sunday - first time in 3 mths and I went to Just Cuts rather than the hairdresser I've been going to for the last 5 years. Very happy with the result and paid less than half I would have at the other place - don't look as good as you Telly though!

I've given in to Dr & MCHN pressure and started giving him food - he gets some slices of pear and a toast crust at breakfast (not this morning though) and he loves it! Some's obviously going in 'cause there's something coming out the other end :p He's also had carrot & broccoli a couple of times when he's been awake at dinner time. One he's really into eating I'm gonna have to move dinner earlier, maybe feed the boys before DH gets home, which I'm not happy about 'cause I think its nice to have dinner as a family. ATM we have dinner at 6:30 (7pm if DH is really late).

I have to go wash his capsule liner as he spewed over it when I took DS1 to childcare. I have to return the caspule on Thursday (its been 6 mths already) so I was going to wash it tomorrow anyway. We took out DS1's old seat on the weekend and put in his new convertible booster and I've cleaned the old seat, which we'll hopefully re-install rear facingtonight (otherwise I can't go anywhere tomorrow).

Hi Snowy - I hope Mr I is ok soon, maybe something has just disagreed with him, ie the food? His tummy might be getting used to it still, just keep an eye on him. I sympathise with you though after having a very sick bub all last week, Amelia didn't vomit but I was changing watery pooey nappies every 45 minutes on average for 4 days straight and hardly any wees! She wouldn't take Paedialyte so I just had to get water into her when she'd take it. It's scary isn't it. Wishing him well soon. xx I haven't tried Amelia on food yet, I'm going to wait until she's 6 months old I think. :D

Kymmy – Hope you are going well and feeling alright….are you getting any morning sickness?? That Archie is one cute little man….wonder if you will have a girl this time!! How exciting!!

Mel – How are things going with the gym?? And what’s happening with the sleeping at your house?? Are you like me and only getting a couple of hours a night?? It’s a killer isn’t it when you don’t get a chance to catch up on any during the day cause you have other little ones to look after….that clip about the rearward facing seats was very good. I didn’t realize any of that….Abbey tries to make herself sit up in her seat so she gets cranky very quick….I cant figure out of I can get it to sit more upright in the rearward position as I’m sure she’d be much happier if she could sit up a bit more and look at JD….

Heavenly – Congrat’s to Mally – what a star!!! So nice to see them do well at things isn’t it!

Telly – Love the photos of your new hair – very very sexy!!! DD was so brave to get that done – what a cutey!!! I have had mine pierced twice and let them go both times cause they got infected too much…what a sook I am!!! Had my nose done too and that didn’t last either! I don’t think my body can deal with it for some reason! Congrats on the wedding also….exciting time!

Alison – Great on the weight loss and glad you guys are feeling better…sux being sick and such a worry with the little ones….my step sisters kids are always snotty or sick and she never tells me so I go around and one of them is always ill and Abbey ends up getting it….makes me mad…why don’t people tell you so your kids don’t get it??? Silly people. Good on Amelia with her swimming – that’s great!! Havent had a chance to get into that sleep doc that you sent yet (thanks by the way!) –so long and no time to get through it just yet!

Natty – Go V with her sleeping!! She’s a good little girl….loved the pic of your DH and her looking at the wallaby…very sweet!

Suz1 – Go the skinny jeans! You must be so happy getting into them…I’ve really got to start doing something…just getting the motivation isn’t it!! If Abbey slept better or behaved better in the pram then it would make life a lot easier but I shouldn’t make excuses hey?

Snowy – I hope Mr I is better… I have given Abbey a few goes of a toast crust with Vegemite and she likes it but I have to keep a close eye on her so she doesn’t get any clumps in her mouth once it gets soggy….she does her block when I take it off her!! Got a temper this girl….Hope you got the car seats in OK so you could get out!

Bec – Going to put an order in for clippies soon – they are all so cute! Just trying to budget our finances here and are pretty tight at the moment but would love to get some for Abbey’s naming day so I’ll be in touch soon!

Hi to everyone else!!!

AFM – Still having massive sleeping issues here….all night every night she whinges and cries and carries on….dont know what the problem is. Thought I could see a white tooth at the top of her gum but I’m not sure…she wont let me have a good enough look at it to see if it’s actually a tooth and not an ulcer or something….hope that it is and that’s the reason for the grumpiness…during the day she’s fine, it’s just night. Although she’s still cat napping during the day but I can deal with that…just the nights are so exhausting!

Busy at the moment organizing JD’s 3rd B’day party for next Sunday and then Abbey’s naming day the Sunday after that…..Simon’s mum is arriving from England next Wed so we wanted to have everything done while she was visiting so she doesn’t miss out…busy, busy….

Went and saw one of my girlfriends who had a baby on Monday. The little girl was only 6pd 9oz….tiny!!! She had an elective caeser but didn’t tell anyone other than her immediate family. From what she had been saying to me since the day she was pregnant she had psyched herself out of having a natural birth. She’s a prissy girl (but I love her!) and I don’t think she wanted to go through what she thought would be a demeaning and embarrassing process….I feel so bad for her not having a go at it. I’m not a preacher for giving birth naturally or anything, each to their own, but it’s amazing what your body can do and you are so proud after you have done it. She kept going on about how having the caeser was so civilized and she doesn’t know why more people just don’t do that….it is such a controlled situation….I said of course it is – it’s major surgery!!! If she thinks giving birth naturally is demeaning then what about her having to get a midwife to change her pad and not being able to have a shower etc!! I was up and walking around 30 mins after having Abbey and my recovery was brilliant!! Anyway, don’t want to go on about it but Simon doesn’t get it and no one else really understands and I thought you girls would…..

Shayna - totally know what you mean about your mate who had the c/s. My cousin was like that, booked in for a c/s "cause i couldn't be f...ed doing that naturally". what the?! I just looked at her like she was a ****er... still do to be honest, haha. I read Ina May's Guide to Childbirth when i was UTD with Theo, and it really opened my eyes.. It is such an incredible experience... you cant put it into words.. Even as i was pushing him out i was thinking "wow... this is incredible". Ohh i loooved my drug free birth... highly recommend that book to ALL of my friends now. (which btw, i also get that 'youre a weirdo' look in response). Seems like a lot of women these days (well definately in our circle of friends) think of child birth as something medical that needs to be 'treated', as opposed to something that is natural.. spiritual even. I'm sure our homebirth queen kymmy would agree too ??

Snowy - hope Mr I feels better soon. and thats great to hear he is enjoying his food! I haven't tried theo on toast yet. I've only just started to give him something at lunch time (nbeen only giving him a few tablespoons of an early evening). Just puree' variety here. Gave him sweet potato and apple boiled and puree'd tonight, he loved it!

Suz - im glad i inspired you to start your 12 week challenge :dance: I only lost .1 this week. but better than gaining i suppose! now im 78.9kg! doesn't it feel great to be past that 80 mark! i just love it!

Mel - great clip. i saw that one when kaili was about 14 months old, and forwarded it to a good friend. she then didnt turn her dd around till she was 1! I'll keep theo facing backwards for a while yet, i think i'll just wait till he gets sick of it. atm he's quite happy facing backwards - doesn't complain at all. im very lucky!

I was actually going to do a bit if research re the BFing while PG. I'm a bit confused as to how the little baby will get the colostrum if the bigger baby is still feeding?! I always said I wanted to BF Archie til he is at least 12 months so maybe I'll wean him then.... Or maybe I won't! I don't know!!
And about the drug free birth, I totally agree! It Is the most amazing, awesome experience.. Do you know, my sister once said to me that she reckons natural labour is addictive (she's had 3 natural, 1 c/s) and I was like WTF?!....... And now I know. I go on about it ALL the time! I can honestly say that i felt like i was on drugs the entire time! Even if drugs were available i didnt once think i needed them! I think people are suprised that I've done the homebirth thing, even my midwife said I'm not the typical "homebirth" type, I'm definately not a hippy (or am I?!? Haha, teething necklaces, homebirth, BFing, not immunising.... Ok, FULL hippy!). I loved it, and I can't wait to do it all again!
Ah, it felt good to write that! Oh and Ina may's book was my BIBLE! I read it about 20 times (no exaggeration!) and it was the reason I handled everything so well.
Feo is a little legend! Archie is nowhere near crawling! Heck he's not even interested in solids yet! I'll let him suck on fruit or vegies but he honestly isn't that interested. He loves boobies. Full stop. Haha!

Hi Shayna - As for the whole c/s debate........I had no choice so hard for me to answer, I was very disappointed that I didn't get to experience a vaginal birth, still am - although oddly at mums group yesterday we were talking about it because one of the girls had to go back last week and have her episiotomy re-cut and stitched as it didn't heal and she was saying that I'm lucky to not have damaged and stretched my bits so there you go, everyone has a different opinion and each to their own. I still feel ripped off for not experiencing the whole "pushing" thing - you spend your life seeing it on tv/movies and want to know what it's like.....at least I got to experience labour pain and that was nothing to get excited about lol! Anyway, I still am yet to decide whether to try VBAC next time or not, I'm still in two minds about it but will decide when I get pregnant again I think.

Hi Kymmy - wow are you showing already? Probably because you're skinny hee hee - I still have days where I miss my pregnant belly but I secretly am loving finally getting into my normal clothes again. But, I can't wait to be pregnant again! Are you suffering any nausea this time around?

AFM - tried rice cereal this morning for the first time, decided it was time - I want her used to the different textures before she starts on vegies etc in a few weeks. She didn't like it much, too bland so will put some pureed apple or banana in tomorrow, is that ok to do that? I've been given mixed comments about doing fruit before vegies. She knew what to do with the spoon though!

Still trying to get organised and strict with self settling, I just get too frustrated, it's so easy and quick to cuddle her to sleep, took 45 minutes of going in patting, walking out etc, in the end I gave up, picked her up and she was asleep in 2 minutes! Any tips for that also? The girls at mums group are all self settling so I'm worried I should be doing the same????? Who knows!!!

Our first Mums Day girls, I'm so excited.....we're off to the inlaws for morning tea then, DH, Amelia and I are going for a picnic lunch, providing it doesn't rain. Can't wait, what a milestone, first Mother's Day hee hee! What's everyone else going to do?

Al- In regards to the fruit/veggies thing, I think they recommend veggies first cause fruit is so sweet they tend to favour the sweetness and go off eating veggies. Nothing wrong with having pumpkin for brekky anyway, babies dont know the difference and who said it was only for dinner anyway??
Is anyone planning on only giving bubs tinned/jarred food? One of the mums at mums group only gives her bub jarred food, she said she is just not interested at all in cooking fresh. I didnt go on about it cause it would have been a lost battle, but I just wonder why you wouldn't give them fresh? It is just the easiest way to do it and much better for them ~ cook it up, freeze it and its done. Just my own opinion

Serenity sleeps through the night still but needs cuddles/boob for day naps and they're usually under an hour now,

She's 7months old and only on the boobs still gonna try hold off as long as possible no crawling here either thank god though she does roll across the room hahaha

Oh and I'm addicted to the twilight books started the first one night and finished it the next day then started the next but I didn't do my dishes so I think Jose hid my book so I couldn't read it lol and now I'm having withdrawals that and having a go at Jose for not loving me enough and why doesn't he make me have tingles and feel how Bella does about Edward lmao

Hi Ubes - yep that's what I thought re the fruit and veggies thing, I'll stick to plain old rice cereal for now and might introduce some pumpkin next week. How would she know it's bland, she has nothing to compare it to anyway lol! Formula has to taste crap, it smells crap, especially coming out the other end!!! :doh: As for jarred vs home cooked, I'll be cooking my vegies for sure, much cheaper and you can do a big batch and freeze. I will keep some of those satchet type ones in the cupboard for emergencies and when going out etc. I just don't like all the preservatives they put in them, although the sachet brand are meant to be quite good for that.

Hi Mon - great to hear from you, how good are the Twilight books, I finished reading them not long before I went on maternity leave. I used to read on the train on the way to and from work, sometimes I contemplated going to the next stop on the way home if I was in the middle of a chapter or something lol. They are very addictive! The books are heaps better than the movie too, although I haven't seen New Moon yet.

AFM - not sure if I'm having a good weight loss week, I cheated and jumped on the scales this morning, nothing has changed - I did sneak in a choccy and can of coke yesterday and DH has just said he feels like pizza for tea - I really wish I hadn't discovered Domino's does gluten free! This weekend is going to be a write off with mothers day I reckon.:wall:

Hey everyone!!!

Telly - God damn chickens hey.....we got ours in the cooler weather when they were little chicks and wasnt it a pain in the butt!!! We had them in a big plastic tub, had to have the light on them freakin 24 hours a day so they didnt die from the cold and they were smelly little things....they are Simons so I try to have as little to do with them as possible....they are fully grown now and it's great that they lay eggs, but the poo, oh my god the poo....ours just roam around our yard and sometimes they get onto our front deck if the child gate is left ajar and they crap everywhere, and they are giant poos. I had to keep getting the one that is clucky out of its box today and its gets so mad at you when you go near it, fluffs itself up and growls at you and carries on....I locked it out of the shed and stood in front of where the gap is underneath the doors so it couldnt get back in and I saw it sizing me up and then woo mo it freaking jumps up level to my face and tries to attack me....I had Abbey and ran off screaming and Simon was mowing and came racing over cause he didnt know what happened....stupid birds!! They try to get JD's food off him all the time if he's holding onto a biccie or something and if you leave the back door open they'll try to get into the house!!! When they hear the front gate open they go racing out to it - like guard dogs! Maybe you should just keep yours in a run or something....I agree that you could have gotten something a lot nicer for $100!!!!

AFM - Abbey has been whinging all day today. She was a bit hot when mum came over this afternoon so I took her temp and it was 37.1 so I gave her some panadol which she immediately threw up along with a gallon of milk all over me and the bedroom floor....lovely....anyway, poor thing, I dont whether it's teeth as she dribbling everywhere, she still grabs at her ears a fair bit so maybe they are playing up again?? Also rubs at her nose heaps as well, like it's twitching or something....going for shots on Tues so hopefully she'll be alright and then I'll see what the Dr thinks...dont fancy a trip to emergency over the w/end!!!

I really have to start getting organised for her naming day....I was going to do photo invitations from Snapfish but it was going to be too expensive in the end so I thought I'll just get a pad of invites from the newsagents....no one sells naming day ones!! Just christening....I'm fast running out of time and damn not being at work so I can use their colour printer and do my own....work was good for one thing at least!! Doing all my personal crap and not having to pay for it!
Also, JD has decided that he wants a penguin cake so that's going to be a challenge too! I need all sorts of food colouring including black? I've never seen black anywhere! Hopefully I can talk him into the spaceship as that looks much easier!

you can get black food colouring, ive seen it in bi-lo. you add it to the icing stuff you buy... kinda like the stuff you use on wedding cakes. and you just mix the colours into it, its a lot like playdough, but you can eat it. its super easy to use and the end result is awesome!

Ubba - Hi :hello: Nice to see you posting :) I made most of my own food for Craig unless we were out and unprepared. He hated most of the puree jar food but didn't mind the sachets. Can't blame him really, home cooked tastes heaps better. So it'll be homemade for Ryan too.

Alison - Craig hated the rice cereal. The packet says you need to keep feeding it exclusively for a while, gradually increasing the amount, but I ditched it after 3 days and fed him veggies.

Snowy - Hope Mr I is feeling better soon. Projectile hurls are scary.

Sarah - Me too, would love to see pics of your wares even if they're already sold!

AFM - We had the rest of our photo shoot today. It was overcast when we had the original shoot a fortnight ago, so they got us to come back on a sunny day so we could do some outdoor shots. The pics are my Mother's Day pressie from DH, so I really hope they turn out well. Ryan has his first tooth. He was actually a bit grizzly today but still managed smiles and giggles for the photographers. Craig's been really good with the Toilet Training so we progressed from the potty to the toilet and he's started having accidents again :shakehead: I feel like I spent all day cleaning the house, helping Craig with the toilet and comforting Ryan, but the house still looks like a pigsty. My Dad is coming to visit in a few days (we've only been back in contact for a few years after no contact for 14 years) and I'm stressed that the house will still be grotty.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY everyone, hope you had special days today. I got flowers and a card that hubby wrote in with his left hand to make it look like Amelia had done it lol....and my pendant with Amelia's fingerprint for my necklace.

I weighed in for my 12 week challenge this morning too......I've put on 300 grams this week grrr - new I had as I was a bit naughty last week with the food - still lost 1 cm off my waist and 1cm of my hips though thank goodness.

Back on track this week for sure! One of the girls I used to work with (the one who irritates me) told me she's down to her pre-pregnancy weight......she doesn't look it to be honest - still has a belly but anyway it's made me more determined now. Stupid I know but she always has to outdo me and I let it get to me, grrr!

Hope you all had a wonderful day <3 Mine was pretty cruisy. I went out to my reunion last night and had a bit of a headache this morning ~ I only had 5 drinks lol! So Luke wakes me up at 7am with a bowl of coco pops! more like a bowl of milk with about 20 coco pops added lol. I said he could eat them and I would have something later but the look on his face made me feel guilty so I ate them. He made me a photo frame at kinder although he told me a week ago that he was making it. It is blue with jewels stuck on it and a photo of him and me in it. Its so cute and I acted surprised anyway. Aww I love my boy xx
Ashleigh bought me a candle and a bookmark from the Mothers Day Stall at school and she wrote me a poem. It is so cute I will write it out for you ~

AFM - My boys took me out for breakfast, then some shopping. We got more fish for my fish tank (all my fish died when we were on holiday in Jan) and the boys love watching them zoom around the tank, darting in and out of the plants. My pressie is the photos from the photo shoot which I get to see on Wednesday.

We went to breakfast Sat morning which was lovely & then we decided at the middle of the day Saturday to go down to my Mum's (hour & a half away) and stayed there overnight. We put a mattress on the floor rather than taking the portacot down so I slept there with Mr I & DH had the bed to himself until 4:20 when DS1 came in. I took him to the loo and he hopped into the bed with DH and rustled about for half an hour (and Mr I woke and fed & dozed) before I said OK lets read some books and I sent DH to DS's bed to keep sleeping - how he was sleeping with DS1 wiggling beside him is beyond me. So DH got a Mother's day sleep in. :shakehead:

We had a nice morning at Mum's. I hinted to DH he should make morning tea seeing I woke at 4:20 & him at 6:45 & he said OK, but didn't think I was serious. I made piklets and Mum put out a tub of cream with an expiry of 15/02/10 - it looked a bit curdled and tasted like ricotta! And Mum put it on her piklets after I'd noticed the expiry date - strange woman! Love her to bits though!

DH bought me a DVD, which I knew 'cause he told me not to look in the JB Hi-fi bag last week. I was feeding Mr I and could hear DH tell DS1 to give it to me & Mum say lets wrap it up. Before DS1 came out to me she comes into the kitchen & asks "Did you want a Batman DVD?" I said no not really, but I'm getting a necklace for my b'day (I saw the Paypal receipt) so its fine. DH bought Batman Begins but meant to buy the Dark Knight - I really didn't want either truth be told, but its the thought that counts. I was however very effusive when DS1 gave it to me. I'll get whatever DS1 made at childcare today & will be equally excited.

I had a short sleep on the way home & went to bed at 8:45.

DS1 got sick on Wednesday & cleaning up after a kid is alot more discusting than cleaning up after a baby. They were both fine the day after their respective spew days.

Telly - had you ever expressed a desire for chooks? I like visiting Mum's 'cause they're such birdbrains and I love the eggs, but she had the chookpen before the chooks - men!

Telly, dont stress on the sleeping, V has times where I just give up and nurse her but I think she was just "ready" as well. I didnt listen to ppl
telling me what to do and did it in our own time, and you will know when Feo is ready ;) Sometimes if she cries for a little bit too long Ill go pat her
or put her on her belly or pick her up etc so Im not a hard arse and Im not sure if its cc or not but as a max she is only left alone for 3 minutes before I go in and do something.
I avoid eye contact (Explained it to dh that she is like madusa and will turn him to stone if she looks in his eyes lol) but will kiss her on the forehead and lean over her to
have body contact with her but no eyes iykwim? Sometimes like ye4sterday she was crying as I wrapped her (always does pretty much) I put her in bed and
put the dummy in and she falls asleep mid cry while I was still putting her blanket on...I just think she resents having to go to sleep...

Hows the weight loss going girls? I had a sneaky weigh this morning and was surprised to see another 2 kilo gone, so I hope that stays off till tomorrow lol.
I have been taking the healthy option every time this week, and eating smaller portions too so it seems to be working in fact yesterday

Mel, gosh you crack me up lol, the biscuits did NOTHING for my um...regularity lol... I got those biccies for incase I needed a sugar fix and at least had something
a little better than dhs tim tams lol, it worked I guess. I have found these low fat low sugar ice creams called "skinny cow" and they are small portions and delish
so Im allowing myself to have one every now and then so I dont freak out for sugar lol. You are so good going to the gym all the time!

Ok now Im stuck as to who said what so Ill just go on aboput us for a bit then Ill probably just cut and paste this in to bb later..

V is doing really well, I got her the Vtech first steps walker toy that she can push along later but she is enthralled by it, just sits in front of it smashing the
buttons etc and laughing to herself, so cute! She is also loving the actuall walker she sits in too and I cant believe how easy she is now, just able
to cope really well when Im not around, say in the shower. Ill come out and she hasnt even missed me! Were experimenting with all different food and yep im making
hers but also using a can here and there in case she needs to use one say if we are out or desperate, or when we go see the rellos in melbourne in june.
I have made a few basic casseroles fgor us and then blended some for her and froze it in ice cube trays. I also have just potato and pumpkin etc to mix
in different combos. Her poos really stink now though.....

No crawling here but she sits well if plopped down, cant get herself there but thats ok.

My aunty who is a mw said she said ma as she was holding out her hands to me but im not convinced..I had heared it before but kind of thought it is too early for that...
