Robyn - YES! And not even just boys but girls as well go through that stage...some longer than others and more intense than others...
My boys haven't bitten or been too violent but definitely smacking - and Ethan does it a bit at the moment...best thing to do is to encourage them to be gentle - I stroke his face and his hair and arms and say gentle and encourage lots of cuddles and kisses. Also be really consistent with it - no hitting, be gentle or whatever you decide to say...stay calm but firm when you do it as well as you don't want him to get such a reaction from you that it makes it fun for him to be told off iykwim??

    Hope that helps a bit...xo

Oh and also pay more attention to the person that's been hurt than him...if a big fuss is made at him for being naughty it's more enticing...pay all the attention to the person he's hurt and then remove him and tell him off...

    Hi everyone

I was supposed to checking on orders but hd a notification so here I am!

We had LIly's party on the weekend! I'm so buggered! Lily had a lot of fun. SDhe was such a good girl, she even mnaged an afternon nap! So opposite to her big sissy! I must say I'm so glad it's over though after having had Pipers birthday last month. But now it will be DH's 30th next month. Ugh!

Lily is doing very well. Almost walking on her own! She is sooooooooo cheeky! And absolutely hilarious! She is saying a lot more now - nigh nighs, zus(for our dog Zeus), Psssss(for Puss), Pi, Whats thee? - how Shakesperean of her! A few other words here & there, her favoourite stil being 'MMMMMMMMMMAAAAAAAAAAAAA!' hahaha! She is also enjoying swimming a lot more. Poor bugger has almost cut her first molars. The painful buggers. I can feel the ridges right under her puffy gums!

Mum2Ramone - yeah, kids parties are harder I reckon. Espcially in my case where your in-laws just sit there & don't help or your sister-in-law interferes & brings out the fruit platter when you 're just taking the hot food out! Needless to say, I had words & for once DH stuck up for me! I couldn't believe it! Sorry, I just had to get that off my chest! hahaha!

Robyn - the hitting sure isn't restricted to boys! Neither is biting or scratching just a girl thing! ha! Lily smacked Piper yesterday(the first I'd seen her do it) & she's biten me on the shoulder a couple of times but with my girls the biting seems to happen when they are teething. I pretty much do the same as Kristie. It's hard. I've always had to be constantly on the look out since I've had Pipr as she is a very hands on kind of kid. She loves giving cuddles & kisses - even when the other kid is fighting to get free! Some of the Mums at Playgroup make underhanded comments about her & it really ****es me off. One Mum in particular, if a kid cries & Piper is within a 5 metre radius she blames her. I usually hold my tongue(which takes a lot for me, trust me!) but the last time she made a smart-arsed comment I told her calmly, but firmly, to back off. So be prepared for that kind of crap Robyn!

Good luck TTC. I'm still TTCDHTC - Trying To Convince DH To Conceive! hahaha!

Kristie - Hope evryone gets over their colds soon! I think it's great that you're having another boy(I know I wouldn't complain if I ended up with 4 girls!). Hey, at least it saves on clothes! haha!

Ok, back to work. I'm pretty wrapt that I'm getting quite busy! I did some rough figures the other day & I'm just about breaking even at the moment! I'm hoping that Christmas will push me into profit! It would be nice if it would really ake off & I didn't have to go back to work. Uuggghhhhhh, 8 weeks to go. I can feel the bile rising in my throat! haha!

    Ok

    Ciao ladies

    xxx

Natasha - it is hard for me to keep my mouth shut too - especially when they are just being babies. I really wanted to tell this neurotic mother yesterday to 'suck it up' amongst other things.

Guess I will have to learn how to deal with these people.

When one of them hits Ben I certainly don't react like that. I always assumed it was part of them playing and learning how to be with each other. But am always keeping an eye on him to make sure noone gets hurt.

I don't hit him just trying to teach him as Kristee said.

    Fun and Games.

    Hi Guys,

sorry I haven't posted anything in a while, I suppose I have been lazy and have been busy doing other things. WOW most of out bubbas are 1 now, where has the time gone. We had a party on the 7th with the family and Logan was sick all day with a high temp. I thought it was due to his 12 month needles but in the end it wasn't. It took 48 hours for the fever to break. We had a lovely train cake which it took DH and I a couple of hours to decorate the night before and we didn't even argue which was great.

Logan is still happy to roll all around the place, no crawling yet. But on the flip side his speech is coming along really well. He says: there, ta, drink, ball, cat, car, balloon (ahboo), bath, mum, dad, poo (lol), The communication is really starting to happen which is awesome. He has put on a kg and is now 10.3kg. His fontanelle has also completely closed which is apparently early, but his head is still growing normally.

Robyn - We are also TTC for number 2. This is my 3rd month and I will be able to let you know by the end of next week. Fingers crossed.

Kristie - congrats on having another boy. I really like the name Jayden How did Ethan take to being weaned? Logan has had no boob for 2 days now. The only annoying thing is that when he wakes up screaming for food at 6am I have to get up and organise weetbix. It is the only thing that will settle him down!!

Mum2romone - welcome our sons share the same bday

Natasha - great to hear your business is doing so well. Logan still only has 7 teeth, but I think i can see where the molars are putting pressure up the top.

Only 5 and half weeks til xmas!! AAAAAHHHHHHH

    Hi!

Just a quick one from me....have been busy with my new laptop and a change in email addresses - grrrr....having to change all my subscriptions and info - it's worse than changing addresses! LOL!

Boys are well - Ethan is walking now - he's so funny - he loves it and thinks he's so clever!! He's also talking a lot - pointing at things and saying "this" or "that" very funny...he doesn't have a whole lot of individual words yet though...

Sorry I haven't caught up properly...just thought I'd pop in - off to bed now! Chat later...xoxo

Kylie - just saw you were asking about the weaning - Ethan has gone fine with it - he doesn't wake up starving which is lucky but I just get him up and plonk him down with the boys in front of the tv with half a banana and he munches that...keeps him going until I've got the weetbix organised (or to be honest sometimes I jump back in bed until they all come and get me - LOL!!!)

Just a quick one from me - I got a faint BFP this morning. I even had to call DH into the bathroom to give me his opinion, and yes it is definitely a faint line!! YAY! Will test again tomorrow to see if it gets darker. Looks like due early August. Lucky we found out today as DH has his massive work xmas party tonight. We have to dress up in 20s style but no drinking for me now.

Kylie - wow that was quick. Lucky you. Lucky you did test before party. Congrats

I have had bout of gastro this week, and been ovulating as well. So I think we can rule this month as a possibility.
