Oh Jody, big hugs! It sounds like you've been incredibly brave persevering through the pain. I can't believe Elliot is so big! Poppy was 4.45kg on Wednesday and I think she's looking like someone's pumped her up with a bicycle pump.
After all the pain of NOT SLEEPING yesterday, the little darling slept from 10pm til 6am, sucked down a bottle then went back to sleep. Now we're waiting for her to wake up so we can get going. I don't know how anything ever gets done when babies are involved.
Hey Jody: Hope Elliott is getting the hang of the breastfeeding after your visit and your boobs are getting back to some sort of healthy state. It's great you had Gunkle to vent too..always makes things better (not to meniton a couple of beverages!) Breastfeeding is a learned thing for little ones and since you have great milk flow he probably only has to open his mouth and it literally squirts straight in hence why he hasn't got the hang of what to do when he needs to latch on. I too had a few Chrissy drinks or 2 and thankfully little Miss did one of her long sleeps at night so no worries about the feeding part Although I tend not to worry too much about it and have a drink anyway just not too many. He is a big boy (sounds like Ben when he was Elliott's age).
Barb: Glad Poppy had a long sleep (eventually)..that would be counted as sleeping through 16hrs out of 24 sounds like alot but if you take into account the nights when they are only awake usually for the feed and then straight back down that would normally account for 10-12hrs or so then a couple of sleeps through the day. It's probably a little harder for you and DP to 'entertain' Poppy as I assume you wouldn't have many toys for her to be amused by as yet knowing you will be settling back to Vietnam soon. My bouncer and play mat/gym is a lifesaver and she likes to try and focus on the toys.
Emma: Hope you got your Christmas day sorted.
Nae: Hope you made some nice Christmas memories and were able to include a nice 'Nikita" tradition that will continue for years to come
AFM: Things are still good..Tess is smiling and after a very busy christmas day slept from 7pm-3:30am and then back down till 7:30am I am getting one of those 'sleeping throughs' about once a week now which is just fantastic
I am always amazed at what MW and MHN's say what babies should do.I often wonder if they have kids or remember what it was like when their kids were babies. I usually take what they say on board but don't always follow it as our babies are not robots..they are semi programmable little people when and if they feel inclined I have no choice quite often through the day to have to drag a sleeping Tess out if I have to do school or creche pickup or just get things done and she seems to keep sleeping when I do this, well most of the time anyway. She is so strong that she can hold her head up now..the boys were at least 3mths before they could do this successfully!
We had a busy Christmas Day with lots of new faces for Tess to try and focus on (she goes a little cross eyed when she tries too hard). The boys got very spoilt by various relatives and are now suffering a little bit of a kiddie post Christmas hangover.
We went to my Sister's and had a great lunch. My niece who is 16 (and very spoilt) has decided to she wants to work till she is 25 then settle down and have babies!! So she took Tess most of the time we were there to see what 'it's like'..Tess was not a very good example of what it will be lilke as she didn't cry one bit and was quite well behaved..thankfully my niece realised this.

Jody - BF can be so hard, you poor thing i feel your pain. Shae had attachment issues early on now she is doing this weird thing which cause pain again because she has got this lazy attachment and doesn't need to suck coz the flow just pours out. the ABA suggested laying back so bub sucks uphill which helps stop the choking/gulping down the milk and burping every couple of minutes to help with the wind. Also a bit of infacol helps too .... ust throwing some ideas out there for you
Heather - i am so ealous that tess is smiling already, your christmas sounded nice, if your neice wants send her around here at about 5pm then she can get a taste of what its like to have an inconsolable baby for 4 hours.
Barb - OMG what a sleep!!!!
we'll all soon be coming up to the next development leap soon so no doubt there will be lots of posts about bubs being grumpy again (between 7-9 weeks in age) i have the best book called "wonder weeks" and its very interesting!!!
Christmas was pretty good, i lit some candles next to Niki's photo's which is what i do for all the special dates, and picked some flowers out of her memorial garden for her. Shae was quite well behaved but was so over stimulated, yesterday was rotten though which is what happens following a day of high activity.
Mum gave Shae a cute dress that was mine when i was a baby, my nan made it and i cannot wait for her to grow just a bit bigger so i can get her in it to wear and get some piccies. Nan would have loved to see her in one of the "nanny robb masterpieces"

Me here but only briefly! Would love to read all your posts but cannot see it happening or joining you very often. Little Hugh is just gorgeous and Catherine is learning to adapt and so am I but crikey I so do not have a spare moment. The house looks like a bomb site and DH is sleeping on the swag next to C's cot (her sleep has gone haywire since Hugh's birth)and I just got Hugh to sleep (it's nearly 10pm) but he will be awake in 2 hours for a feed as he does 24/7. My dinner- slice swiss roll, marshmallows, slice of pannettone. You get me? But very happy and satisfied.
Hope you all had a lovely Christmas with your new babies and families. Will do my very best to pop in and see how you are all going- even to read posts and not respond!

glad you all had a great chrsitmas!!! thankyou for all your support. christmas was good here. DH and i both know we're not in the good books (MIL acts like a spoilt little child when she has the poops and won't talk to you) but we've been there before (usually around this time of year) and know she'll come around. i really can't be bothered treating her like a child with temper tantrums anymore! it's not like we didn't try and include her so i'm not going to feel guilty. my family were still here when they came - but they knew that because she rang and asked if we were done and i said we'd had lunch and were about to have pudding and the response was we've had ours so we'll be there soon. and seeing as they live 5 minutes away we both missed out on dessert.... anyway, shouldn't whinge and com,plain too much. just put a bit of a downer on what was otherwise such a great day (she did have a go at both of us about different things on the afternoon - one of which was complaining to me that DH didn't come to the door to greet them when he was in the loo at the time!!).
Alyssa was totally spoilt for christmas. first grandchild and great grandchild in both families!! we got her a play gym/mat which wasn't really too over the top but nanny and poppy spoilt her badly. i'm guessing next year will only get worse as she gets older......
Nae - I can't even say i know what you're going through........ but i understand how hard it can be. i have a friend who's little boy would have been 2 on the 20th of december. christmas is always hard for her as they lost him on the 8th january and he spent the whole time in nicu on a ventilator so every year is reliving what was happening this time that year. she dreads christmas for months leading up to it and hasn;t put a christmas tree up since that year. people expect her to move on as well even though she hasn't been blessed to fall pregnant again. it's so hard to make people understand that they will always be a huge part of you and your family. my heart goes out to you - i'm glad you had a nice day with shae and remembered nikita in your own special way
Jody - you poor thing!!!! that must have been absolute agony!!! my little miss has gotten lazy in the attachment department as well so that was a little wake up call to make sure i don't let her for too long!!! Alyssa guzzles as well and usually throws up a far bit after a feed. thinking of trying the lying down thing to make her feed uphill - especially after the projectile vomit that just ended up all over my lounge
AFM - i can't believe that our little bubs are growing up so quickly!!! a friend of mine had a baby last tuesdasy and came to visit last night. he is so tiny!!!! and feels so breakable! he is 600grams smaller than Alyssa ever was (and 7 cms shorter!!) but i never remember her feeling like that!!! Alyssa has been smiling for around 3 weeks now (best thing when she wakes up is to see the smile the first thing when you pur your head over the top of the bassinet ) and is pretty good with her head control too, but one of the first things she did when she was put on my chest when she was born was lift her head to look around. such a little sticky beak!!! she has pretty good control over her arms as well and loves playing on her gym reaching out for the toys!!! We also bought a glider - which is the best thing to settle her during the witching hour!!! 5 minutes and she's asleep
She's still s great sleeper of a night doing 930 - 4 then 430 - at least 7 most days (she falls back to sleep while she's feeding so i put her straight back to bed)!! boxing day night she slept 930 - 530 which was just heaven (except i wole up at about 330 anyway cause my boobs told me it was time grrr..
anyway, dh has just informed me she's tirring from her nap (and i thought she was in for her one long daytime sleep not a one hour nap!!!) be back later!!
Emma: Glad you had a nice Christmas (even with odd the bad moment). Much easier if you just go with your own plan. I love the first smile of the day when I peak at her in the bassinette! What sort of glider did you get? I had a look and like the wing chair ones
Nae: Your Christmas sounds nice too...sounds like your Mum may have behaved herself. Look forward to seeing pic's of Shae in the outfit you wore as a little one..they are such wonderful traditions to have.

AFM: Well we used the last of the NB nappies last night and Tess is now in the next size up Huggies, she also doesn't fit in her baby bath anymore and I just gave her a bath in our bath with one of those seats you lie them in (an absolute lifesaver on the back). So she is so grown up already Time flies. She tries to giggle..makes the face and a sort of grunt noise which is cute. I can see the smile in her eyes which is sooo nice..I forgot how adorable a little baby can be and are absolutely smitten with Little Miss Tess..so is the rest of the family.
Just a quick pop in today Tess is ready for feed and bed...look forward to hearing how everyone else is going.
Barb: Has poppy had her Imm's yet? Pretty sure you were going to get them done before you headed back to Vietnam? Have you got a place to live yet when you get back? A tip the MW's gave in hospital to lessen the reaction while bubs is having the imm's is to give them a feed while it is being done..perhaps try and give her a bottle while the imm's are being done?? I was feeding Tess when they did the Hep B and heel ***** in hsopital and she didn't cry one bit
Jody: Just an after thought as I would say your Thrush on the nipples has settled down by now? What do you wear to bed? Is it a bra every night with breast pads? I wear a booby bib which is excellent as I don't have to wear a bra and breast pads and it absorbs any milk leakage. I have two and worth every cent I paid for them as I wear it every night. It allows the breasts to have a breather and little bit of freedom..just a thought How is Elliott's attachment going?
I can't believe six weeks has gone already!
I went and finally had the whooping cough Immunisation yesterday. It's been years since I have had a jab other than blood tests while pregnant. Oscar was with me (school hols') and watched my reaction intently! My Dr who the locals with kids call the happy stabber was brilliant and I didn't feel a thing and have no after effects. He also suggested I have the swine flu one which I will do at a later date.
We have a very quiet New Years planned..I will probably be in bed by 9pm! I have bought a nice bottle of bubbles for me to celebrate the decade!
I was listening to the radio the other day and they asked people to call in with what changes have occurred for them over 10yrs...when I thought about it I was amazed at how much we have done!

Hope everyone had a great NYE and NYD,
We didn't do anything it was too hot and fortunately for me when that hideous storm broke out here I was nursing Shae in bed so I wasn't so scared DH sat on the veranda for a little while watching the lightening. We all were zonked out and didn't wake up until 3.30ish when Shae needed feeding.
I think she grew over night last night - I swear she did. I have been putting her in the 000 jumpsuits for a few days and they all seem to swim on her. She did big chuckies on herself this morning and I told DH to change her and to just pop her in a big suit and you'll never guess ... fits perfectly! She also slept from 11pm to 6.45am and only woke up when I panicked coz I could feel her breathing so I shoved my cold fingers down her jumpsuit onto her bare skin to feel her chest for a HB
Its a bit sad that she is no longer in her newborn size BUT its exciting now because she has a VAST wardrobe of 000 outfits and we finally get to dress her up
We also got our very first NON WIND SMILE I was chatting to her and making funny faces and sounds and she smiled thinking it was wind I tickled her under her chin and she smiled again she sure knows how to melt my heart it was beautiful.
I so cannot wait to start playing "what outfit will we wear today" unfortunately daddy put a jumpsuit that is in the PJ draw on her - then again we have no warmish 000 outfits.
I started taking the mini pill today much to my dismay (and DH delight) I hate putting stuff into my body but I s'pose its a necessary evil.
Happy New Year I made it to 10:30pm...that's the latest for me in a while! Had a couple of glasses of a nice bubbly and let the boys stay up till 8:30pm so they could light some sparklers. Loved the free night show thanks to the weather!!
I love a good night routine! Have put Tess to bed her usual 6:30-7pm after bath and feed and she now just looks at me while I wrap her and put her into the bassinette, I stroke her head and she gives me a little smile and I walk out of the room and she is done She has been waking around 3:30am for a feed and then around 7ish, so we are in a good place and have been for a while. In the next week or two I will start putting her into her cot at night and use the monitor.
I too am about to start contraception. I am going to give the IUD Mirena a go. Will have the swab next week and then Mirena put in the following week. Did a bit of BB research and I am hoping I go ok with it as there is quite a bit of postive and negative on the BB forums for it. My SIL has it and another friend also and they both say it's great. I am giving it a try as it's a 5yr thing and then I might be able to convince Bernie to have the snip as we have now compeleted our family
I took the mini pill with Ben and it was good, although the first week I think it changed my milk as he got a bit funny about feeding and then after that he was fine...just in case Nae you have a little trouble thought it may help to know what may happen, I also think it may have started my periods again..can't remember???
Hey Nae, I love picking what Tess is going to wear! I started in hospital Think it's the excitement of been able to dress a girl for me although I did the same for the boys as well. I find getting her out of her PJ"s in the morning and into clothes and then back into PJ's at night helps with the night and day familiarisation. She loves getting nude for the bath. Wouldn't worry too much about warmer things..can always put a pair of leggings under a pretty dress and long sleeve top under the short sleeve dress to warm them up.
Tess's wardrobe is bigger than mine! Alot of things she will only wear once. She is now in 000 for most brands. Some 0000 is still just ok as they are on the big side such as the marquise things.

Nae - It sounds like your Christmas was lovely. Like Heather, I'm really glad your mum behaved and I love the pics of Shae. She's a sweetie!
Heather - Your pics are absolutely gorgeous. I think you've got the baby training well in hand too. You are my hero! My uncle reckons you train kids the same way you train dogs. I'm not sure it's the same. I think dogs are easier in a lot of ways. Can you imagine what would happen if I tied Poppy up to a parking metre next to a bowl of water while I went shopping?
As for me (or us really), we had a lovely Christmas. We went to Brisbane for Christmas lunch with my aunts, uncles and cousins. One of my sisters came too. My lovely 90-year-old nanna was there and she was quite with it. She has Alzheimers and sometimes she doesn't recognise people. She didn't remember I had been pregnant but she had a little hold of Poppy (she's not very strong anymore so it's lucky Poppy is so tiny) and she just gazed into her face with such a loving look. It was the nanna I remembered from my childhood. My cousin took some lovely photos. A few hours later Nan was tired and she didn't know who anyone was or where she was. So I'm glad I caught her early in the day. It meant a lot to me.
On Boxing Day my sister and her terrorist tribe arrived for a three-day assault on peace and quiet. The boys were reasonably well-behaved but it was all a bit noisy for me. But it was good to have a family Christmas with my two sisters and my parents. Even if one of the boys only ate bread and honey for six meals in a row.
On Wednesday we went to Brisbane to stay with a friend who's house-sitting a semi-mansion in the hills of Auchenflower. It was really lovely, so good we spent New Year's there. We had dinner with her family at her brother's house then went back and drank champagne til midnight. DP went to bed and we had to wake him up at 11.45pm. From the front deck we could see the fireworks over the CBD AND see the televised fireworks over the Sydney Harbour Bridge. But... we were SO TIRED the next day.
At the Auchenflower mansion Poppy slept and slept and slept. At first I thought it was because she had her shots in the morning but she did it the whole time we were away. I think my dad's noisiness has really been affecting her. Maybe it's just because she's a little older. But she's a different baby now. She sleeps, has a bottle and a bit of a play then she sleeps again. THIS is what I was expecting, not the continuous grizzling and 10 minute naps.
When I got home I realised I left our dirty clothes in the bathroom at Auchenflower. We leave on Wednesday so now my friend has to take our washing to her Mum to post to us on Monday. How embarrassing. We are also waiting for our passports and visas to arrive back from the Vietnamese Embassy in Canberra. And we still haven't got DP's tax file number sorted so we still haven't got our baby bonus. I thought Vietnamese bureaucracy was bad but Centrelink seems to be on a par. Maybe I should offer someone a "special payment" to speed things up, like you have to do in Vietnam.
Oh and Heather and Nae, people have given us so many clothes for Poppy. Sizes 000 to 1, so she is going to be one fancy pants princess for the next year or so. We got some toys and a play gym because I worry about the safety standards of the stuff sold in Vietnam. Now I just have to get it all back there!
WOW GTBIA Poppy is gorgeous now. With that toothbrush hair you spoke of too! Random question - does it every cross your mind how a little mutli racial baby doesn't look so much like you? I only ask cause sometimes I do look at Elliott and he doesn't seem to look anything like me and every now and then I do wish he had blue eyes or something so people knew he was mine. I have an African American friend and if we go out together everyone addreses her as Mum! LOL! Mind you, when he projectile vomited in a store while my friend had him I didn't own up to being the mother!!

I love it how you are talking about growing out of 0000 and 000. In my house, we are even talking in amazement of growing out of some of the 000. I bought two new jumpsuits for bedtime in 00 and they aren't even that big really! I think Elliott is pushing six kilos now. Tee Hee. People don't believe he is just seven weeks anymore.
I'm sort of getting the breastfeeding sorted. It's just a battle. I got some great tips on videos to watch and things to read and basically started the positioning and latching on from scratch. So that helped tonnes. Enough so I even healed enough to get adventurous and try side-lying feeding while in bed which is great. But Elliott is a sneaky little devil and just lapses back into bad habits with his mouth all of the time. So we have good days, bad days, perfect latch feeds where it's all warm and fuzzy and natural like it's "supposed" to be and horrendous chewy nipply feeds depending on just how much energy I have to fight to correct the latch. Night time when he wakes hungry and already crying I have sometimes just given up and let him feed however he wants.
At least now feeds can be as short as 10 mins so last night was a midnight feed, a 3.15 feed and then into bed with me at 6.30 for another feed and now he is snoring away but I'm awake enough to be up and doing stuff already since the feeds were quick and didn't disturb sleep too much. I must say he is a pretty good baby and will go down for naps and sleep without too much help mostly - just his slide/rocker thing sometimes.
The only time he screams blue murder is trying to push out the huuugge morning poo ha ha. Sometimes it takes hours for him to grizzle on and off before the explosion. Before I worked out what it was, his upset screams drove me mental and I swore and threw his spit cloth in frustration. Scared the crap out of my dogs to see me have a tantrum, which I never do. So now the dogs give me "poo warning" - when a certain type of scream comes out of Elliott the dogs run out of the room and sit outside the door in case I'm about to throw a tantrum dealing with it. It makes me laugh so hard, and now I don't throw a fit so much.
Is anyone else still bleeding? I stopped for almost a week now have red blood like a period. And have some of the pregnancy feeling back - back is sorer, cramps a little, even my sore legs from the unstable pelvis flared up. All I can think is it's the last bit of the uterus going back to normal - or a period, despite breastfeeding!!
Hey Tecopa, would you believe Poppy almost looks like a clone of me when I was a baby? I can hardly believe it. I didn't have the crazy hair though.
I'm so pleased you're getting better with BFing. I'm actually feeling like I got out of it pretty easy because FFing means I don't have to get up every time Poppy's hungry. DP is not working so it's only fair that he shares. He's more than happy to, too. He loves his little princess. His only complaint is she doesn't look like him. He says all his "stuff" has disappeared - her hair is dark brown not black and her eyes are dark grey not dark brown.
Poppy is still in 0000s. She's still got a bit of room left before she goes up to the next size. My cousin bought her a beautiful 00 dress with a pink sash and poppies growing up from the bottom. I can't wait til she fits into that!
Better go.... Poppy is outraged at feeling hungry.
Oh, P.S. ... I stopped bleeding a few weeks ago. I got a few cramps last week and I thought I was going to get AF but nothing happened. Maybe you need to get it checked out.
I didn't really talk to the doctor about contraception at my check up. I just said I couldn't take the pill because I tried it once before and it made me extremely crabby. I am not sure about IUDs. Heather, will you let me know how it goes? It's not something I've really thought about. I want to have one more and I'd like to have them close together but I need a bit more time to recover before I get pregnant again.
Oh I sure will Barb let you know about the IUD Mirena, you will all be hearing if it starts to make feel crabby I went on a pill called Brenda with Ben and it made me feel crabby,emotional and being just a total cow to poor Bernie, I knew it was happening but had no control over it, so I stopped straight away. He certainly noticed the difference when I stopped Poppy is so pretty, we all have such gorgeous babes
You had such a lovely Christmas and New Year..nice thing to have before going back to Vietnam...especially with your Grandmother. I love Poppy's hair!!
Oh and Barb, at least if your little one was tied up at the front of shop with a bowl water is better than leaving them in 60deg car I have nephew who has a terrible diet! He is 7 and usually only eats tomato sauce on pitta bread for lunch and dinner..he at least has a bowl of porridge for breakfast.
I too stopped bleeding about 2 weeks ago. No cramps or anything since.
Jody: are you exclusively BF? As sometimes if you slip in a bottle(even expressed milk) it may start or start the mini pill? Either of these may start regular periods. With Ben my periods started when I went on the mini people. I love the photo's of Elliott..how cute is he! Otherwise as Barb said I would have it checked out at the 6wk check if you haven't had it already or a GP. Tess seems to manage a poo with ease..she fluffs all the time (very smelly) and then eventually we get a big explosion which brings her much pleausure
The multi racial babies are sooo cute... I love Poppy's hair, she is so cute and just the look of Elliott is gorgeous. I have a friend who is Brazilian and her husband is Irish, her kids look nothing like her and all like him and when she goes back to Brazil with the kids people think she is the Nanny She has a hard time convincing them otherwise.
Has anyone elses baby started to move a little? Tess has started to shuffle up by putting her feet flat and pushing. I put her down on her play gym and sometimes her feet are on our floor boards and she grips her feet and pushes herself up, has also done this in the bassinette. She is such a wriggler.
Barb..have a safe and easy trip back to Vietnam, and you have to love generous benefactors, Tess too is lucky to have one with the clothing

Heather - Alyssa has been wriggling up her bassinett almost since the day we brought her home!! she's never still. At least she hasn't found a way to wriggle down yet... Yesterday she was on her belly on her gym and she moved herself around in a circle so she was almost facing sideways from where she started. then did the same as tess and moved forward a couple of cms. she's also started rolling onto her side which she seems quite pleased with herself for. bit of a worry for mum though - making sure her backsleeper is in the bassinett every night just in case she learns to get right over..... I'm the same as you with some pills. i tried a new one a few years ago cause the one i was on wasn't doing any good with the pain of the periods anymore and it made me a total cow (and i put on close to 10kilos in 3 weeks i was on it which i'm still trying to get rid of ). i was a mess - happy one minute bawling the next and grumpy and mean the next.....
Tecopa - we did a quick weigh on the scales at home yesterday and think Alyssa is pushing 6 kilos now too. has just had a growth spurt though and lost the chubbiness she's accumulated when she grew upwards. her dad's 6 foot 4 so i'm thinking she'll be a tall one!!! I finished between week 3 and 4. i've had a few little pains in the last week or so but no bleeding. think i'd be with the others and get it checked out. have you had your 6 week check yet??? not that mine was anything wonderful. dr just did a pap smear and asked if we were having sex again and that was it. no talk of contraception or anything. don't think she even checked my scar from the tear. and didn't fill any info in on Alyssa either so i'm going to take her to the child health nurses once they're back at work after the holidays. i now it's been done but it just didn't seem very thorough......
GTBIA - sounds like you had a wonderful chrissy and new year spending some special time with family and friends before you go back to vietnam. having a baby makes you realise how wonderful those support networks are doesn't it. and which friends will stick through you through anything and which ones weren't as good as you thought . we had some that started drifting away when they found out i was pregnant. it bothered me then but now i have my precious little bub it doesn't bother me as much. just a shame for DH as it's his best man at our wedding.
AFM - i made it to midnight NYE. we had friends over for tea and they left about 11 so by the time i packed up i'd just got to bed and heard the neighbours yelling happy new year. DH stayed up to watch the fireworks but i knew i would be awake about 330 so thought bed was the best place for me . DH has another week before he goes back to work so i'm making the most of an extra set of hands to have a bit of a break!!! not too many dirty nappies for me at the moment . apart from that everything is just coasting along much the same. Alyssa is so settled into her night time sleep routine that i think i've gotten a little bit more relaxed about the whole thing and she's sleeping 4 - 5 hours through the day as well so all's good. she's started "talking" to us this week as well which is just adorable with a big cheesy grin!!!!

Although I tend not to worry too much about it and have a drink anyway just not too many. He is a big boy (sounds like Ben when he was Elliott's age).
16hrs out of 24 sounds like alot but if you take into account the nights when they are only awake usually for the feed and then straight back down that would normally account for 10-12hrs or so then a couple of sleeps through the day. It's probably a little harder for you and DP to 'entertain' Poppy as I assume you wouldn't have many toys for her to be amused by as yet knowing you will be settling back to Vietnam soon. My bouncer and play mat/gym is a lifesaver and she likes to try and focus on the toys.
I am getting one of those 'sleeping throughs' about once a week now which is just fantastic
I have no choice quite often through the day to have to drag a sleeping Tess out if I have to do school or creche pickup or just get things done and she seems to keep sleeping when I do this, well most of the time anyway. She is so strong that she can hold her head up now..the boys were at least 3mths before they could do this successfully!

Time flies. She tries to giggle..makes the face and a sort of grunt noise which is cute. I can see the smile in her eyes which is sooo nice..I forgot how adorable a little baby can be and are absolutely smitten with Little Miss Tess..so is the rest of the family. 
I made it to 10:30pm...that's the latest for me in a while! Had a couple of glasses of a nice bubbly and let the boys stay up till 8:30pm so they could light some sparklers. Loved the free night show thanks to the weather!!
She has a hard time convincing them otherwise.
