I'm feeling absolutely heartbroken today. DP and I took Poppy for her first haircut yesterday. I told him I wanted a bob, showed him what I meant (I thought) and kept saying "straight across, straight across" and the first thing the hairdresser did was chop off her side bits. I kept saying "no no no" and "that looks terrible, get her to stop" and no one listened to me. It was like a nightmare.
So now I can't look at Poppy. She is not my beautiful baby anymore. It's so obvious it's a haircut, not just weird baby hair. I didn't go to playgroup today because I couldn't handle anyone commenting on it. It's not even even, so it looks like I did it.
I was up half the night sobbing my heart out. I know it's a stupid reaction to a haircut but she doesn't look like my baby anymore. . I don't know whether to get her head clippered or go to a different hairdresser. The problem is it's too short at the sides, cut over her ears. It will grow back but not before we leave Vietnam.
Sorry to vent.... gotta get back to my boring marking now. I'll give a proper update soon, but we're having internet problems at home again. I think one of the students gave me a virus when they emailed their assignment to me.
