Thanks guys. DF and I have been talking and we have decided that it doesn't matter what the amnio says we are going to have the baby anyway. My mum reckons that we should not bother with the amnio in that case but I think if something is wrong then I would rather be prepared to deal with it. I still have my fingers crossed that Froggie is healthy (as the last 2 were) and we don't have to stress about anything. Oh well only 2 more days until the dr appointment and then make a date for the amnio at the hospital.

Had the dr appointment and it's not trisomy 21 I have to worry about. It came back with a 1 in 47 chance of trisomy 13. So amnio here we come. Unfortunately trisomy 13 babies rarely survive gestation or if they do then they mostly pass away within a week of being born. My dr sent the referral for the amnio off today so hopefully it won't take to long to get a date. Now just need to stop blubbing and try to be positive. That is going to be the hard part.

Thanks Leigh but after some logical and non emotional thinking and talking to diannescruffy, I have come to the conclusion that my dr is full of crap. He scared the ***** out of me for nothing. Dianne was saying that her Emmanuel was very clearly showing abnormalities on the scan but mine has come back completely normal. We have decided to still have the amnio but purely for peace of mind. Now I just have to wait until the hospital contacts me with a date.

How did Lara like her birthday??? Meara loved the present opening bit but was still a bit confused about the reason for the rest lol. She did blow out the candles on her icecream cake though. The other day we were chatting and I asked her "are you my cheeky moo??" and she said "no I'm a princess............and a big girl!" lol aren't they cute at this age

kim - glad to hear that you are in a positive headspace about the whole thing. GL and I hope you get in soon to give you a bit more piece of mind.
Yes they certainly are so cute at this age. The other day Olive started moving her tummy and said "look mum, my baby's moving around"

Does anyone know if hj has had her bub yet? she was due around now i think.

I'm nearly 27wks now. I met with the midwife at the hospital yesterday to book in and have a chat which was good. She said that my varicose veins will only be a problem if i have another long pushing stage so not entirely sure what is going to happen with work and labour atm until i see my doc next week. I have got my GD test on Monday so am praying that it's fine as with the gallstones and being pg i already can't eat so many foods. I am worried though as i have been really addicted to sugar cause it's about the only naughty food i can have atm. This pg is definatly not as easy as the last one!
6 more weeks left of work now woohoo!
dh is off overseas this sunday for a week which will be hard. i'm not used to the single mum thing but it will also be nice to have a week with my girl before the bub comes. it's going to be hard with cc and stuff though, glad i'm not working f/t.

    have a lovely weekend girls.

I haven't heard anything about hj for ages. So fingers crossed we see the BA soon.

CW - good luck with the GD test. Hope it comes back fine (one less thing to worry about)

I'm feeling much more positive than I was last week. Still think that Froggie will be fine. I have good and bad days regarding the ms. Some mornings I wake up with the shakes and they last all day, not sure why. This morning I feel fine so will get some washing done (if it doesn't rain )

Take care everyone and chat soon

Where is everyone??? I have had to phone the hospital myself to find out what is going on and it was just as well that I did. They didn't have my dr referral for the amnio!!! So I had to give them all the info and then they phoned my gp to get another referral so now i'm booked in for the 23rd of this month. I'm still sure that Froggie will be fine but it will be good just to be sure and we are going to find out the sex. I need to know if all my pink stuff will be enough or do I need to buy blue. Oh well I'll know soon enough. Take care everyone

hi kim. Glad to hear that you are feeling positive about everything. GL with the amnio, not to long to wait though long enough.

i've been really busy as dh has been away all week so have been doing the single mum thing and Olive has been sick with a cold and now ear infection. work is really tiring now so will be counting down the weeks. I'm huge already and with the vulva varicose veins am in quite a lot of discomfort. would love to give up work now but simply can't afford to. may be able to cut back to 2 days, will see how i go.

woo i'll be 28wks on sunday - third trimester here we come.
saw doc yesterday and my bloods all came back good, everything is looking positive now i just have to get in a better mindspace for the birth.

hope everyone is else is well and that you have a great weekend.

Kim, lucky you called the hospital, hope everything goes well on the 23rd. It's good that you're positive. Can't wait to find out is froggie is a boy or girl.....you will tell us won't you?

CW, gosh almost 28wks already. Hope Olive gets better very soon. Try & rest up as much as possible.

DH starts a new job next wk, he has 5wks of training first from 8.30am - 6pm daily. Is anyone elses kids chucking bad tantrums? Lara does, not all the time but if something doesn't go her own way she cracks it. Today she picked up a kids plastic chair & threw it. All because I was feeding Lexie & she wanted me to turn one of her toys on for her. Hope she's not in the terrible 2's for long!!

    Hey all,

Woo hoo hit the 16 week mark today so only 4 more days until the dreaded amnio (and another 4 weeks until half way ). I will be talking to the dr about how they used the wrong date for the maths of the test and I'm hoping they will recalculate and also I want them to do a quick scan first and see if they can find any abnormalities. If they can't find any then I don't see the point in testing for trisomy 13 or 18 as they both have gross abnormalities. Will kick my gp in the shin for scaring me so badly though DF is taking some time off to come with me and drive me home as well so I don't have to exert myself.

Leigh - Meara just gets really stubborn and doesn't do as she is told although yesterday she undid the gate and ran out on the road and nearly got hit by a truck Luckily a friend of DF's is staying with us and he got to her in time otherwise we would have had one dead bubba. It really was that close. I could have sworn she was out the back garden but our side gate hasn't been locked and I think she went out that way cause she didn't come through the house.

CW - glad the bloods came back normal and ouchies for the varicose veins. Hope they settle down. Is there anything you can do to make it easier to yourself???? You must be 29 weeks now so yay only 11 more to go.

My granddad turned 90 yesterday and we are going to have a party for him tomorrow. I have bought him a 25yo bottle of single malt scotch. OMG do you realise how expensive they are. I paid nearly $200 for the bottle. I was going to buy him a 90yo bottle but ...forget it. It would have cost thousands

Hope everyone is doing well and we all have a good weekend

Wow Kim, 16wks already, your pregnancy is going so quick. Good idea about getting them to do a quick scan first. Hope everything goes well. God how scary is that about Meara & the truck. She's one lucky little girl!!

Had the amnio yesterday and have just been resting since then. I still think everything will be ok. I have the morph scan booked in for the 13/12 so yay get to see Froggie again. Hopefully we will know by then if Froggie is a boy or girl. How is everyone gearing up for xmas. We have run short of money due to bills coming in. I think it should be illegal to have bills this close to xmas lol. Take care everyone and will post results when they come in.

PS hj had her baby only hours after finishing her uni course

Kim, wonderful news. I am so happy for you. Bet you are relieved! Another princess on the way, now you can start organising, although you've probably got lots of girl clothes like I do for my 3 girls. I hear you on the bills coming in. It sucks that they come right at Xmas time, as if Xmas isn't expensive enough. I'm not fully organised with presents yet & we still don't know what we're doing Xmas day coz DH may be working, got to wait for his roster.

Great news Kim, must be such a relief!
Girls are good, it's nice to have sisters, especially if they are close in age. I think i'm having a boy this time.

I'm almost 30wks now so it will be nice to soon be in single digits on the countdown! Only 3 wks left of work thank god, really feeling it now as i'm so tired.

I'm hearing you with the bills around xmas plus we have both car regos due around this time and me going on maternity leave. A bit of a light xmas this year. Stingy santa is in the house!

Thanks Leigh and CW. I am very relieved that everything is ok and yes we are happy that Froggie is another girl. Means we don't have to buy many more clothes lol.

CW we had our car rego due near xmas to but we did a 6 month rego to get it away and then did a 12 month one. Maybe you should consider doing that. I think we will be having a stingy xmas to though. Heaps of kids to buy for and not enough money.

Leigh bummer about DH maybe having to work xmas day. You think that would be the one day of the year that everything would close down. (unless your DH is in the fire service or police etc)

Now to wait until the 13/12 for the next look at Froggie

    Hi everyone,
just thought i would pop in and see how you are going?
I'm good, 31wks now and huge!!! I just keep getting bigger by the day now and hoping things slow down abit soon. I think bubs is posterier which is annoying as it caused a whole heap of grief last time. praying bub turns soon before settling into this position. We have also been trying to agree on names, it's so much trickier this time.
I'm also sleeping really badly which is frustrating as i'm so tired. Olive still wakes through the night and with work i'm knackered but i lie in bed and either can't get comfy or just sleep really lightly. arggg
I finish work next week so am really looking forward to that. I just want to nest and clean!
Olive is good and is being so cute about the baby. She rubs my tummy every morning in bed and asks to kiss and cuddle the baby in my tummy. Then says "babies love breastmilk". So cute.
Got through the marathon of bills and nealy finished chrissy shopping, woohoo. I must say i do love xmas though.
Anyway hope you are all well and happy.
